Set high on the Hog's Back Ridge, Farnham Hog's Back Hotel enjoys wonderful views of the Surrey Downs, and is located within easy reach of London, Guildford and Farnborough. The staff aren't very helpful they do not offer any help with your luggage. The leaflet in the room says if you've got any questions ask reception I asked reception about leaving the hotel and which way to drive The member of staff couldn't answer my question. After the first night in the morning I put my card on the door handle to let the staff know that I needed my room to be serviced all I really needed was clean cups. I came back that evening to find the tag still hanging on the door I went inside and there were still filthy cups there. The next morning I am quiet at reception when I was going out for the day to see if they had forgotten to do my room that I was then informed that they don't service the rooms unless you are staying for 5 days or more I was only staying for 3 nights. So by putting the card out which is left there for you nothing was done to my room so what am I supposed to do for 3 days with my dirty cups am I expected to go to reception each day asking for clean ones. What what is the point of the tag system being put on the door handle. The rooms were lovely and warm until the middle of the night and you would wake up absolutely boiling there was nowhere for you to turn it down there was no fan to put on to try and counteract the heat because I was on the ground floor there were not proper windows just the Louvre type Which let in enough fresh air but because you on the ground floor facing the car park you can't leave your curtains op

Room did not meet the standards of the rest of the hotel. Fixtures and fittings very dated, stains on sofa bed (twice reported but never cleaned)! No fridge, no phone to call reception. After one full week we stayed 4 nights at a Travelodge and it was scrupulously clean and modern, great value restaurant and friendly staff, all for about half the price. We would not recommend Hogs Back Hotel to friends.

Plenty of parking and a smooth check in but very little information is given. Stayed for one night to celebrate anniversary. The room was similar to a travelodge room but had everything you needed. No air conditioning so the room was like a sauna and uncomfortable so we had very little sleep. The spa was okay, the hot tubs were closed for cleaning but even when open were grubby. The jacuzzi wasn't working properly, sauna was great, steam room had tissue over the sensory so we took it off the first day and it was still in there the next so it had not been cleaned. Breakfast was a good selection but had clearly been sat out for a while and was dry. The bar wasn't particularly welcoming and was dark and dingy. It wasn't quite the relaxing break we had wanted.

It is very rare to find a hotel where across the board the staff are helpful and polite and greet to you with a smile when we visited the health club we were offered a tour of the facilities and the procedure for borrowing towels, robes and padlocks was clearly explained to us by a girl called Katie without us even having to ask. she was excellent! Equally, we had a problem with our television in the room and this was quickly rectified by Leo on reception who could not have been more accommodating. The restaurant staff were also friendly and helpful. One member of staff who stood out here was a girl called Izzy who again was exceptional.

Great hotel, great facilities considering the price. Great service from the staff. Lovely comfortable stay in a good sized room. The hotel is next to a busy road so I would probably recommend to ask for a room at the back of the hotel to minimise thevtraffic noise.
My only disappointment was that (in pur room, for this stay) all the power sockets are located at the opposite end of the room to the headboard of the bed. So we could nog charge our phones and have them in easy reach, and the fan that was provided too far away to be very helpful

The property needs an overhall! Its looking tired in rooms and the pool areas. We were given a room that had a small window to open, but sadly a very loud piece of machinery was going 24-7 right outside. The main thing that we were told when we asked for clean towels on our 3rd day of a 4 day stay, we only change them when you leave! God help us if we had been staying a week! Its was 34° outside and we had been having 2-3 showers a day. We had used the spa also but you cant beat a cool shower before bed. But sadly not with clean towels. It actually shocked us to say how it had come across when booking it. But hey ho. Not for us.

On arrival, the receptionist was not very polite or helpful. She was very brusque and answered our questions before we had even finished. She asked us to register our car which we did but have received a parking fine, which we do not intend to pay. PCN12590379687 Date 03/03/2025 16.56 48 - this is the time we actually arrived at the Hotel and were registering. We were having problems with the receptionist because as a disable person i person have problems climbing stairs and she said that there were no room downstairs because there was a party going on that night. In the morning at breakfast I asked if a party had taken place and was told no. My blue badge was clearly displayed in the car. RoomThe sink had a leaking tap which has caused unsightly rust, all the soap were empty or nearly empty. There is a big stain on mattress bottom left side. We left the room on the Monday to use the Spa when I got back to the room about 3 pm the room had not been cleaned and I had to ask a maid to make up the bed and she did while I was in the room, the bathroom was not touched and dirty glasses and tea cups were just left, bins were not emptied. I was not going to leave a review but feel that your service was very poor I look forward to a speedy response especially regarding the. Parking ticket.

The floor around the breakfast area was very dirty and looked like it had not been cleaned. Also i think its bad that when having breakfast you cant sit by any of the windows as this is closed off. We also found the hot tubs to be dirty

First room had an extractor next to the window. Next we had to go to reception to ask for towels next day and told they only clean the rooms once a week.
So the bathroom only gets cleaned once a week. No cleaning items are in the bathroom to do it yourself.
I suppose you are expected to take the rubbish to the local recycling centre if it’s full.

Nice enough hotel, spa wasn't the best as faulty facilities but was disappointing that room service doesn't come and you ain't made aware of this as we had 32* heat and one towel each to use all weekend and ran out of toilet roll so had to go looking for supplies

We had a leak in our bathroom on the first night, the hotel could not provide us with an alternative room/maintenance were unable to come until the next day. We agreed upon a refund for the night upon departure. The hotel informed us upon departure we had to do this through hotels.com. I have since contacted the hotel through hotels.com and they cannot contact them this service is unacceptable and puts downer on a trip we otherwise generally enjoyed

Stayed at this property for convenience and thoroughly enjoyed my time here - lovely room and facilities at the Spa. I can't comment on meals as did not eat whilst there. The hotel is situated just off a busy dual carriageway so not great for me running whilst staying there and they only had Tesla recharge points so not good if you don't happen to have a Tesla!

The staff were really good! Booked us in for breakfast when we arrived which meant that we didn’t have to pay 4 adults (if we had to book online) for 2 adults 2 children.
2 Hot tubs were available but no jacuzzi, that was drained but no bother.
The spa facilities were great.
Pool wasn’t the warmest to start with but if you were in and moving it’s perfectly fine. No complaints from us or the children! Plenty of people swimming when we were in.

We are a female couple, we booked a double room perfect, when we got there place was perfectly clean. When we checked in ask for my name and then said to me there is only one bed in the room and I said yes!!!! Why did he say that when they know 2 people were sharing. Otherwise other staff were very cheerful and greeting were good.
