O melhor do hotel foram os funcionários (a excessão de 1 rapaz do café da manhã, ríspido e insosso) da recepção em especial Marcilene muito competente. No quarto o Box para banho muito apertado, precisam rever isso! No mais café da manhã muito bom e acomodações limpas e sem mofo! Estacionamento apertado e rotativo para 6 carros. Agradeço a simpatia e atenção de todos pois sanavam os problemas que apareciam !

I stayed at Bao Viagem Praia Hotel several time during the past several years but on this visit it was clear that the hotel has seen it's better days. shower is dirty, lamps hang from the wall mounts, 1-channel TV, WiFi in the Room is inconsistent and non-functional. If you want to use your computer you will need to go downstairs to the lobby. The elevator stopped working at 5:45 pm on March 30th requiring that I walk up 4 flights of stairs. The long and narrow hallway was so dark that I needed to use a flashlight to negotiate the hallway and while waiting for the elevators. The bar is very lightly stocked with only about 4 or 5 choices of liquor. The service proved by the staff was good and they were responsive and timely to my request for additional pillows and blanket. The front Sea facing room did provide a good view of the beach and Boa Viagem. The overall condition of the Hotel I felt was disappointing and that the 3-Star rating is a stretch.

Why an old hotel has to be a BAD hotel?, I have stayed on old hotels and they were nice, some refurbished, and others updated, this hotel in RECIFE, is far from been considered a 3 stars, old and not maintained, dirty walls in the room, the room smell, as the air conditioning system too, they really do not care about the hotel, the elevators really remember the twilight zone, the one in a theme park, you do feel you are going fall down, the staff really not ready for help you with your needs, i do not recommend to anyone to stay, just choose another pay more but do not go in to this hotel.

We chose this hotel because it had a pool. The pool was shut and looked horrible (water colour). The safes in the hotel were on the whole useless, we tried three in three different rooms, all were unusable either because no locking mechanism or locked shut. The hotel however did eventually offer us the use of their safe after two fruitless hours of trying to solve the problem. Everything else was fine.

The WIFI worked only near the bar area. Forget about it in most of the lobby or the outside terrace. Upstairs, in our room, there was never a signal. That means it was almost completely worthless. To check email, sales, etc. required that we work from the bar. But wait, there's more: This is an older hotel, not very well kept. The elevators were being worked on by Otis when we arrived. That continued for several hours during which the Service elevator (one of two available elevators) was working, not working, working not working, etc.) The guest elevator made horrible clunking sounds when starting and stopping. It did not engender confidence that it would not break down mid-use.

Hotel was very easy to access from the Airport. Staff at the counter was very helpful and most spoke english or found someone who did. Breakfast was excellent something for everyone served from 7-10.

Beach area in front is not good to swim during high tide but there is a beach area for sunning if you do not want to use the pool area at the hotel. At low tide it is safe and well used by the locals. The shark signs warn you about swimming beyond the reef and at high tide.
The area that runs in front of the hotel includes a walking trail a bike trail and a refreshment stand about every two blocks that serves snacks to hard liquor but mainly beer. The Malecon seem to be very active after sun down and attracts all types of people.
Down side when you purchase from the food counter in the lobby you need to sign for it to your room instead of paying cash then and there. The other optioni s going to the reception counter to pay and then return with the paid receipt.

Affordable in good area
This is a simple hotel, but has the advantage of being in a good area directly across from the ocean on Boa Viagem street. A major plus is free internet dial up speed service. There were a couple of employees that spoke some English which was a help to me. An employee was also able to help me get my internet connection to work on my netbook. The rooms are simple and small so I would highly recommend reserving a room with an ocean view in the front of the hotel.

O hotel em si é muito bom… porém não cumpre o que está na publicidade, o aeroporto não fica 3 min do hotel como informado, o hotel não fica 1 min da praia e sim 1 min do mar, local onde não se tem acesso a areia e ao mar, precisando andar cerca de 4 km para chegar em local de areia e mar. Tudo fica distante , restaurantes, farmácias e etc… necessita de Uber para tudo. Então a localização deixa a desejar. O hotel em si é bom, apesar das Funcionárias fazerem muito barulho enquanto fazem a limpeza o andar atrapalhando o sono de quem precisar descansar um pouco mais.

o hotel esta bem localizado, porém os quarto todos com cheiro forte de mofo, pintura antiga os travesseiros velhos, frigobar velho ralo do chuveiro entupido .na chegada fui para o quarto 510 sem condições de permanecer o funcionário da recepção muito cordial fez a troca por outro 808 também estava com cheiro, de mofo , porém menos.

Péssimas condições do hotel, quarto com cheiro de mofo, corredores mofados, uso de detergente com cheiro de pinho por todo o hotel para tentar demonstrar o cheiro de mofo, sem identificação para não perturbar, arrumadeiras sem horário certo para arrumar, atrapalhando o descanso do fim da tarde. Das Hotel Golden Park kenne ich seit vielen Jahren (es hatte früher den Namen „Boa Viagem Praia Hotel“). Was ich jedoch von Expedia nicht verstehe und in hohem Maße als unseriös empfinde, ist Ihr Angebot vom Zimmern für Euro 23 ( heute bei einem Test Euro 27) und beim Buchen erscheinen plötzlich Euro 58 (ohne irgendeine sichtbare Erklärung). Acredito que no geral, foi boa. Apesar de ser um hotel antigo, com estado de conservação um pouco desfasado, a experiência foi boa. Tivemos alguns imprevistos como o frigobar que dê gelava, acumulando água; ar condicionado que, apesar das boas condições, pingava água todo tempo e encontramos uma barata andando pelo quarto. Café da manhã muito bom e excelente pressão e temperatura da água do chuveiro. Na hora do check out, enquanto agiardavamos o carro de aplicativo fomos importunados por um cidadão que tentou nos assaltar. Falta uma segurança na porta do hotel também durante o dia, já que a orla de Boa Viagem é bem precária.
