Fridge is room was disgusting. Beautiful hotel but seems a bit neglected. Front desk staff are fine, not awesome. No public water bottle fill station and front desk staff give you the feeling that you’re inconveniencing them when asked to fill water bottles. Excellent location and spacious rooms.

The location and the staff at the reception is great, but the room is quite filthy and very dusty (doesn’t feel like they used the vacuum at all!), refrigerator was broken and dirty inside, booked a “Yarra view room” but barely can see the river itself due to the trees - scam?

Hotel location was great, next to tram station to the Australian Open. Room was large with two sink vanities and an extra living room. Nightly cocktails was nice. But housekeeping was poor: shower gel dispenser in shower was empty, no tissues and toilet was leaking and, despite reporting it twice, was not fixed. Breakfast buffet was weak also.

It was a terrible experience. After paying a high price for a suite, I was hugely disappointed with both the quality of the hotel and my suite and even more so with the service and attitude of the staff. I will never stay there again nor recommend it to anyone. I intend to write to the Hotel Manager, the Hotel Owners and to Expedia. It is my worst experience in decades of extensive travel and hotel bookings of various categories.

I love art deco, and this hotel provided not only the architecture but also the mood of an 1930s hotel. The room was nice and the amenities were all fine. And the location was also excellent. The Tram stop was literally outside an the main streets less than 100m away. Perfect.

The hotel is very well situated with a team stop outside and a short walk from Flinders Street station. My room was small but comfortable. My only complaint would be that although the room was generally quiet and I never heard any noise from adjacent rooms, anyone walking passed or talking in the corridor could be heard quite clearly.

Thank you for the lovely warm welcome when we arrived. We had a great overnight stay. The hotel is just beautiful. Our room was exceptionally clean, the towels were nice and thick and the bed - so so comfortable. Loved the premium selection of teas - thank you!! Breakfast was very good. The car parking was very convenient to the hotel, a little tight, but manageable. We are staying again later in the year and looking forward to it.

Room felt very neglected. May have had a fresh coat of paint. However the furniture was dirty very poor worn out beds.
House keeping is the poorest/worst to non at all.

6 day stay not once was this room vacuumed or cleaned down during stay nor was it before my staff. Hair on carpets, Dirty bath tub, coffee station and fridge dirty and dusty.

This was my second stay within 14 days and the first stay I gave 3 stars for a leaking toilet in a walk in shower. Really didn’t think it could get any worse but it did.

Lobby area breakfast excellent. However where it mattered the room itself this gave a feel of a poor quality motel not even a hotel. Rooms were not comfortable.

Staff were courteous, breakfast was good. Hotel itself was good Modern with Old Heritage infusion.l style and decor.

Sadly the rooms and furnishings left the hotel down. Rooms have been freshly renovated however quality of beds and bathrooms needed updating and maintaining. Particular room we had for 2 day stay toilet leaked from waste outlet not nice.

Rooms do need a duster run around the coffee station and cupboards

Weird room configuration where the door opens toward the bed. Noisy, you hear the AC vents all night and the walls are thin and you can hear everything when people walk along the corridors. The bathroom floor gets constantly wet when taking a shower. The breakfast spread was expensive and small. The saving grace of the hotel is its location and architecture, along with Navishka and Aachal’s pleasant conversations and genuine concern.
