My ONLY negative (which was my choice) was our room was located on the second floor and when we book the next time I would select a first floor room.

We stayed in “Chuffin Eck” a cricket themed room with a firm, comfortable bed. The refreshments tray contains everything you need to make a lovely cuppa plus two bottles of water and biscuits, which were all very welcome. The restaurant was clean and welcoming and served the most delicious evening meal and breakfast. The staff were all friendly, polite and helpful. I would recommend the Craven Heifer Addingham.

Overpriced, Dirty, Dated and Cold.
We paid twice what you’d have expected for this type of poor accommodation; we relied on the photos and didn’t want to stay at a nearby Best Western. Decent, reasonably priced hotels are hard to come by in the area. It was an uncomfortable stay. The room was listed as the “Romantic Cabaret” room; there was nothing romantic about this run down, dirty and freezing room. The carpets were dirty and in need of vacuuming, the shower power lacked power, the shower head was moldy, the street lights shone through the curtains all night, the heat was off until the morning while it was minus 3 overnight. The bed was uncomfortable with cheap bedding. The rooms are above the pub; they look like a bad DIY job. We ate at the pub; the food and drink was acceptable, and the service friendly, and the stay included a decent breakfast. However, I would never recommend the place for accommodation. At £130 for the night, I felt like we were robbed…

The:- Hotel; ; Outside view very good; internally clean & tidy; all surfaces clean to touch; carpets in good condition. The food & drink were all excellent. Service from staff was exemplary! We had booked & paid well in advance. Our assigned Room was \"Crows Nest\"! which turned out to be at the very top of the hotel up a narrow, steep, winding staircase to an attic with a very good en-suite, but otherwise a boys room with a collection of miscellaneous boxes serving as storage/tables and odd bits of ephemera scattered about. Who thought placing 2 80 year olds in such Room carrying their own luggage was a good idea?

The room was nice and staff but the breakfast was terrible. I found a hair in my food. I also requested brown toast and was given white, then told the white toast was brown it just looked white.. The service at breakfast ruined my entire stay.. will not be returning.

Very helpful staff. Our first room was rather small with a very hard bed, but they changed it to a bigger room for our last night. Some of the boutique rooms have very quirky furniture! The staff were great, and the breakfasts were brilliant. Would stay again - but choose the room carefully.

A fabulous night away. We were given a warm welcome when we arrived and enjoyed drinks and food once we had checked in. The team were so friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. We will definatley be returning for Sunday lunch, as we only had a selection of starters as we were dining elsewhere that evening. Our room was very spacious and clean. The bed was really comfortable and we have a very quiet nights sleep. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. We wish we had booked for more than one night! We will be back!

The room was quite cold on arrival late at night after a wedding but the radiators could be turned on. Breakfast was good. Very helpful online advice prior to our stay advising on reliable taxis, care of our luggage and willing to perform multiple check ins by one person who were given keys to all rooms.

The only thing I would advise some travellers is that as the rooms are above the pub, be prepared for the background noise until about 11:30pm on weekends - this was not an issue for us at all, but might be useful info for some travellers planning on having an early night.

Beautiful room, very clean, excellent tea tray. Lots of free parking on site. Quick and easy check-in, very grateful for the hotel letting us check in slightly earlier so we could change before attending a wedding up the road. The breakfast was delicious and exceeded our expectations for price of the room. We did find the mattress in the bedroom to be a little on the firm side, but slept well non-the-less. We stayed here as we were going to a wedding near by the room was lovely, spacious and clean and tidy!! Breakfast in the mornings were a little slow and you had to ask for milk and butter even though cereal and bread for toast were readily available. The staff were polite and helpful throughout our stay.

The staff were all very helpful and accommodating, the room comfortable and clean, and the breakfast was great.
One issue (not the hotel's fault: I had specified 2 twin beds rather than one double on the hotels.com booking form - but that information had not been relayed to the hotel) was sorted out very efficiently and with great service.

We had a fantastic stay, the crows nest room was really lovely and we would definitely stay again if we are in the area. The plug sockets were a bit of a faff to get to, and no WiFi, but the quality of the rest of the room made up for it.
