Lovely room, nice and clean and the staff. We spent most of our time in the spa which was great.
Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because it felt like the whole hotel was way to warm, it was freezing outside but felt too much inside. Also worth mentioning that we used the hotel restaurant for an evening meal, though it was lovely food it took over an hour to get our main which was ridiculous.

Room was good and the staff helpful on checking in and out I did eat in the restaurant and although fully booked they managed to get me a table. The food however was average. Not enough to complain about but the batter on my fish was not crispy all the way through so was soggy on the inside. I had had a long day and wanted my bed so it was too late to get it exchanged. I like to use this hotel for early flights at Leeds Bradford airport. You should capitalise on this as you are minutes away from the airport.

Room was nice and clean, but was quite cold overnight. Staff were very welcoming. We didn’t use the pool/gym facilities but it’s good that the option was there.
There were people opening the fire door to smoke at the end of the corridor on the 4th floor, which lead to the whole corridor stinking several times throughout the evening.
The cooked breakfast was underwhelming.
Otherwise, an enjoyable stay. Beautiful hotel grounds. Ample parking.

I was so wanting hollins hall to be as magnificent as it was in its hey bday but unfortunately i left feeling really disappointed. On a positive, the reception staff were lovely and very helpful, as were the leisure centre staff, all very smiley and friendly. Unfortunately though the hotel in general just seems tired and unloved. The cleanliness was really lacking, ie hairs and dirt in the bathrooms, dust on the bedside tables, handprints on the glass doors & the rooms on my floor didn’t seem very sound proofed as you could hear conversations from other rooms.the bed was hard and bit lump, the pillows also very hard, and no spares in the rooms, just two on The beds.

Clean room, and generally very polite friendly staff- but one was extremely rude to me on arrival.
We didn’t like the lack of light in the bedroom – it was hard to unpack, in midwinter , without straining one’s eyes!
The café was an unwelcoming and unfortunate place: we wanted a cup of tea and a piece of cake, or at least a biscuit on arrival. All that was available to eat, without choosing something off the menu, was chocolate bars.
It was also very noisy and dark with flashing lights. Not what you wanted to welcome you, after you had travelled a long way to get there.
The breakfast was acceptable, but it seemed to have been sourced on the cheap. Furthermore, we did not like the Starbucks coffee in the café.

Lovely 2 night stay for our anniversary using the bridal suite! The room is well laid out and spacious. The amenities are good and food is of good quality. We couldn’t fault the service and how pleasant the staff were. My only niggle was the fried eggs in the morning could have been better if kept heated on the buffet. But overall and excellent breakfast buffet with plenty of choice and great quality.

Nice hotel at a reasonable price. Large rooms and bathroom. Bedding & towels were good quality though the pillows were really hard & uncomfortable.
Decor is ok but could do with a refresh.
Pool is a good size but poolside needs a refurb. I didn’t use the jacuzzi or sauna as both were monopolised for the entire time I was in pool by a group of big fat men!

Stag are always friendly.

Bring earplugs if you’re staying on a Friday or weekend for work, in case there’s a wedding on. The gym has everything you need, I’ve tried the pool yet, but looks good.

Pub grub is varied and ideal for work trips.

Check in was easy. The staff on reception were friendly and helpful. Room was clean an tidy in a fairly quiet location. The beds are not thr comfiestand the pillows are hard but i did ask for a softer one which i got. Fire alarm went off 3 times while there. Once at 3am as someone was vaping in their room then at 11am and then again the next day for a drill. Leisure are was good although we found it annoying that they have chosen to close the club at 630 on a weekend. Found this inconvenient. Good range of food in the restaurant with many gluten free options. Prices not too bad

Hotel very dated and tired looking, the most horrid noises from 5:30am, you can hear every single noise from people using the bathroom in adjoining rooms, to screaming children and doors banging. No sound proof whatsoever in the room, worst hotel room I’ve ever stayed in. Bathroom very dated, shower terrible, carpets old, stained and dated. Was really disappointed with this hotel… the grounds looked unkept and the room had cobwebs/ spiders. The walls are so thin we could hear the room next door for hours shouting taking till midnight. Also music playing from somewhere loud outside so shut the window…. Still heard the music. Also the bed was not comfy . Don’t like to leave a negative review but this was not a place to stay!

Beautiful hotel

This hotel is absolutely beautiful, from the reception to the bar and restaurant everything is decorated perfectly, the spa and pool facilities are great although the jacuzzi wasnt working, the rooms are comfortable and clean and the bathroom is very modern. When we arrived the children were given a gift bag each which i think is lovely touch. Would definitely recomment this hotel

This was a lovely place and we really enjoyed our stay. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The twin room was clean and comfortable.
We had dinner in the restaurant. There was a great choice and the food was delicious.
The surroundings were beautiful and it was nice to be able to go for a walk after dinner.

We had a family room The second bed was kind of near the wall and radiator don’t think the corner has been given and attention could smelll damp when sleeping . The cupboard had cow webs its was good to have border biscuit with tea .The receptionist was really good Spa was useless was looking forward to it steam room was useless steam was not at its full Jacuzzi bubbles were not working sauna was not hot Breakfast was nice. I think spa was the down fall

A lovely one night whilst visiting a friend for his 70th birthday! Plenty of parking, reception staff were nice and friendly and the breakfast was lovely and good way to start the day!

Booked a night away with my wife, picked a nice looking 4 star hotel. It is not 4 star and is very dated, but only fa polities were the golf club no other bars or restaurants. Room was meant to be an executive but had an adjoining door to the next room and was just not nice.

It was probably lovely in its day, not anymore..

Misleading as from afar the hotel looks amazing. Stayed 2 nights with the wife and the dog, as it was local to Ilkley and I was running the hm. The place is somewhat dog friendly, they can stay in your room but don’t expect to be able to eat anywhere with them. That being said, I’d avoid eating here… burger looked and tasted like it had been hiding under the fridge for 4 years. Breakfast buffet, nothing special, poor quality hot food but they did let us take a tray of toast and cereal back to the room as the dog couldn’t be left alone in the room or join us for breakfast… bed had just 1 pillow (none in the cupboard), no plug sockets by the bed (Third world problem right) but the room was clean, very dated, but clean. Staff were fine but not exactly welcoming, restaurant staff were away with the fairies, other clientele consisted of drunk golfers, pool/sauna packed with screaming kids at weekends. The hotel needs serious re-investment.

Overall hotel fine but i find your card only policy terrible. I left my wallet in room and was told once I ordered drinks it was card only so I had to go back to room for wallet.
I hate establishments that do not allow cash payments and will never stay again

Me and my partner stayed there for a few nights with our dog and we had a good time. The staff are really friendly and welcoming! The food at the grill on the hill was great. We really enjoyed going to the pool and jacuzzi during our stay, it was very well kept. The only downside was that the bed wasn’t very comfortable.

A lot of negatives!

Impressive building and grounds, pleasant staff but a lot of negatives.
The food is awful, there is enough choice but we stayed 2 nights so tried four different evening meals and they were all bland and disappointing
We did not have breakfast so I can’t comment on that.
The room was very dated but clean. The pillows are very uncomfortable- hard and too high. I bought 2 pillows!
I don’t imagine that we will be back.

Reception staff were friendly and helpful, but we found that staff on the bar downstairs to be rude when we asked if they were open. Grill on the Hill staff were great, despite reviews on google the food was great. The room was comfortable and clean, does need better or more pillows. The only thing we didnt like was that other guests left litter such as glass bottles and expired vapes around the grounds. As well as inconsiderate parking taking up 2 spaces. Would recommend for a short stay.
