Very comfortable and good sized room, despite the proximity to the airport and main road, we didn’t experienced any noise disturbances from either. The ‘pub’ on site was great, good menu and attentive staff. Breakfast was excellent- the ‘senior gent’ working there is a fabulous asset and really went out of his way to make everything perfect. Thanks for a lovely stay.

The last time we approached they told us it still wasn’t ready and to take a seat
Which we did and would give as a complimentary drink for the wait. We eventually

A bitter sweet stay. All the usual amenities, lovely clean room, nice evening meal, easy free parking, with the highlight being greeted by the delightful Nevada. The sad ending was to find that this is her last week. She has been a real credit to the hotel, and I wish her well in wherever her career path takes her next.

Nevada was back!! Otherwise, the usual comfortable stay in nice quiet surroundings and good choice of dining options. Dom was also very helpful when I checked in on the first night. Front of house is first impressions at any hotel and these staff are exceptional.

First impressions were not good. I was in a rush to drop my bag and get back out.

However check-in was unbelievably inefficient with three people in front of me it took about 20 minutes before I was served. The reception running check in spent an age running through all the amenities, parking procedures, and requesting a form to be filled in, The simple solution would be to open another desk and during this time I saw one manager walk past the queue about 3 or 4 times and not take the initiative to help. Eventually I asked if another person returning to reception could check me in and she did so, professionally.

Again- I had to fill in a form with all the same details as I provided when booking the hotel. Ridiculous.

As I was only there to crash while on a night out in Leeds I can’t comment on the facilities, but overall it seemed decent value for money.

The bathroom needed a bit of bleach to clean up a bit of black mould and the mattress / bedding was all pretty low quality- but you get what you pay for.

My Perfect Weetwood Hall Stay in Leeds

I booked Weetwood Hall on a whim – no big expectations, just a place to stay. But wow, what a surprise!

The lobby’s got gorgeous historic charm mixed with modern warmth. My room was spacious and spotlessly clean, and it came with a fancy coffee machine that made my mornings. Dinner at the brasserie was incredible – I settled on 3 small platters; it didn't disappoint, excellent service, no complaints.

We had an awesome time , it was my wife’s birthday and the staff treated her to champagne and a free sweet after lunch.

Weetwood Hall Estate was all we hoped for and more. Great check in at Reception, our Cosy Double room had everything we needed. The bed was super comfy and facilitated a great night's sleep. We stayed for 2 nights so that we could explore Leeds.
After chatting to the bar staff in The Stables Pub we found we could catch the number 23 or 24 to Leeds City Centre from the bus stop at the end of the drive. On the return journey the bus stopped outside Lawnswood Secondary School. Each journey £2.50.
The breakfast at Weetwood Hall was superb and set us up for the day.
Many thanks to all staff for a wonderful stay. Highly recommend.

For those of you who don’t have time to read long reviews, I think all I need to say is that I have already booked for next week! Need I say more?
Well, for those of you who want more detail, I will say more. There were a few niggles on the first night but nothing serious and all dealt with efficiently by the helpful reception staff.
But the second night the place came to life again when I was greeted by Nevada’s infectious warm smile. I’ve said this before, and I can guarantee that I’m not earning commission for my comments, but this young lady is a credit to the hotel and a rising star in the hospitality industry. Front of house is where first impressions are made and I only wish I could say the same about other hotels, where it often seems more of a chore to the reception staff and guests are a bit of an irritation. But not at Weetwood Hall :)

I reported that my bedside lamp was not working, unfortunately the bulb was never changed. There was a nail sticking out on the floor . This was situated on the plinth from the bathroom and bedroom so very dangerous. The room was beautiful , wonderful surroundings and excellent parking.

What can I say? This was my third visit, and I already have a booking for November, which I think speaks volumes.
The hotel and grounds are very nice, the rooms comfortable and clean, and the food and drink of a good standard. But what draws me back most is the friendly and helpful staff. First impressions are very important, and employee of the month must surely go to Nevada who brightens up reception with her friendly smile, warm welcome, and bubbly personality!

This us the 3rd time in two years that we have stayed at the Weetwood hotel. We love this hotel as it is close to our son's dormatory at RIASA. The rooms are vety comfortable and very clean.
We LOVE ending our dats at Stables Pub and especially enjoy the bartender there, Chloe. She always makes us feel \"at home\".

Clean, convenient. I thought the Manor house room i had chosen would have been more traditional. The hallway etc into the Manor house area was warm and inviting but dissapointing on entering the room with its cold white lights. Definitely over priced for this room.I stayed in this hotel last year in a different room a lot less expensive. That is what I would choose if I returned to this hotel. I would not pay £460 for a manor house room for 2 nights. I had to chase reception to service the room . All in all, a pleasant stay but the manor house rooms are over priced without a point of difference.

The hotel is in a good location, close to pubs, restaurants and various tourist attractions. It has a country hotel feel being set in beautiful spacious grounds with ample parking (details must be registered!) My room was a little cramped with a comfortable bed and around the window bare York stone was a nice touch. The bathroom was a decent size with ample storage space. Most of the staff were friendly, polite and professional although conflicting information was given regarding offers on the catering in the hotel. The meals and drinks were a bit pricey but the room rate exceptional value.

Stayed here for work so booked a single room. The room size was perfect for what I needed, a double bed, tv, decent sized bathroom and everything for a good night stay.
The carpet had a massive iron mark on it and wasn’t so clean, didn’t effect me for my trip bit worth mentioning.
I was happy with the room bur unfortunately it backed on to the busy dual carriage way so noise from the road was quite bad and did wake me up a few times. If you want a quiet night request an room that didn’t back on to that road

Disappointing stay

I had 1 night here & was quite disappointed, perhaps my expectations were higher after reading other reviews & it being a 4 star hotel.
I travel a lot & personally wouldn’t put it on par with other 4 star hotels.
A lot of reviews mention how clean it was but I walked in to find the toilet seats up in the bathroom & obvious signs it had been used & not flushed properly. However, after a 3 hour drive, I needed it myself so whilst I regret not raising it at the time (partly as I didn’t feel particularly welcomed when I arrived), I simply couldn’t wait.
The room was also very dusty & visibly so, perhaps from the room being vacant a while since its last clean? The kettle, spoon & glass (with greasy fingerprints) on the amenities tray were unclean & covered in dust too so put me off making a drink.
The safe was in the corner of the room on the floor, it was locked shut & unable to be used.
The room also stated it had a laptop workstation but as the only usable surface in the room, it was crowded & didn’t really leave much room for a laptop. The ratio of the wooden stool & height of the desk also meant you couldn’t work at the desk comfortably as the desk was a fair way above elbow height when seated.
Despite the thin mattress topper, I could feel the springs of the mattress in the bed & there was also quite a bit of banging noises around midnight so didn’t make for the best sleep.
I also wasn’t asked about my stay when I left or I would have raised some of these issues then.

My only criticism is that the drive leading to the property from Otley Road needs a contractor brought in to resurface - potholes are not good for welcoming guests quite apart from the potential damage to cars. Pleasant stay at Weetwood

Lovely location and convenient for visiting Headingley Stadium.The man who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and we had a bed upgrade, from a single to a double which was lovely, although the view was not good (looking out the back, where staff go for their break). We did not have enough cups for the number of people in the room but this was rectified as soon as we let them know along with extra biscuits, which was nice. The food in the restaurant was ok but very expensive. The pub was pleasant with live music and the courtyard was lovely to sit in especially as the weather was hot. Breakfast was good, a wide range to choose from, although the food did run out quickly and there was a little wait for things to be refilled. The hot drinks were delivered to you and again there was a little wait for this. Check out was quick. Overall a pleasant stay and would recommend booking this hotel.

Ate in the pub and was tasty although would have liked a steak option as mainly burgers and pizza. Breakfast was my favourite part even having a pancake maker!
