The classic room size was far bigger than expected & the bathroom/ shower was lovely. Leeds centre is pretty compact but the hotel is so close to the station which was great to leave our bag with them ahead of time & also before we left for our train.

From the moment we stepped in and were greeted by the doorman it was the best stay. We left our bag as we arrived early. On returning to the hotel we were checked in and given our key and we enjoyed a drink in the bar first. The room was upgraded for my husband's birthday and it was beautifully adorned with lots of balloons and a lovely message with chocolates from the manager. Such a lovely gesture to be so spoilt. The bed was huge and so comfortable. The sofa was really comfy to watch TV. The complimentary mini bar was a lovely touch. My husband loves a bath and it was huge even for him at 6 foot tall. Had the best night's sleep with no noise and total darkness with blackout curtains. In the morning we managed to enjoy sitting out on the balcony in the sunshine before sadly having to leave. David on reception went above and beyond to help me out also which was so generous. It isn't our first stay at Dakota and won't be our last.

We had an amazing weekend and the location is amazing, however for the cost compared to other hotels I wasn’t overly amazed, and I feel I have stopped in nicer hotels with more to offer in the rooms, such at tea coffee selection, there was no mini fridge in the room and honestly it was very basic.

Leeds is limited on five star hotels. The five star status is why we chose this location. It’s nice, but average for a five star establishment. The interiors are purposefully dark (nightclub dark). It’s very moody, but it needs more light, including the rooms, corridors and elevators.
The pluses; staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was clean. A small range of complimentary refrigerated beverages in the room, including fresh cows milk (nice touch). Bed is large and nice and comfy. TVs in the living area and in the bedroom.
Areas that need improvement;
Wire shower basket doesn’t hold the Milton brown toiletries upright that are supplied as the gaps in the caddy are too wide.
Towels; one on the heated radiator, the other tucked away in a basket underneath the sewing kit and other items (slightly strange set up).
More space needed for your cosmetics and toiletries. Including hooks to hang travel kits (ended up hanging outs off the light fixture.
Breakfast is okay depending on what you want. The full English was greasy.
Overall I’d say the stay was fine. We made it work, but I think we’d explore other options if we ever return to Leeds.

Stayed in one of the signature suites and it was fantastic. Really enjoyed my stay there and will definitely stay here again. I did get caught out with the parking refund but that was probably my fault for not reading the small print when I booked. You must rebook the parking with Qpark online and use the discount code provided by the hotel otherwise it’s full price.

Booked a table for 6:30 , when my colleague and myself went to the restaurant at 6:30 we were told that we didnt have reservation and madr to wait. Thier was only 7 other customers in the restaurant and lots of spare tables.
We had to ask three times for ice and three times for the bill. The serive was very slow. The attidute of the male server was short and rude. We asked for the service charge to be removed from the bill as the service was very poor. This was questioned.
The server took the bill and when he returned to the table he did have the bill, he said all on one card as we had no visablity of the bill we had to ask for it again.
As we left the restaurant the male and female server where laughting and point as us. It made us very uncomfortable.
To top thing off, when i went to my room the TV didnt work.

Terrible service and attitude at dinner, asked for ice three times, asked for the bill three times, had the service charge taken off and the waiter came back with no receipt so didn’t know what we were paying. Left the restaurant and the staff were pointing and laughing at us. Room tv wasn’t working, kettle didn’t stop boiling unless turned off.
