Lovely stay - nice room overlooking the canal. Breakfast was good, but glad I included it at booking as the daily rate is a bit steep i.e £20 for full English Breakfast. Always perplexes me when it is a double room that there is only one chair to sit on around the table - why not two chairs, as you don't always want to sit on the bed. Good checkout, and left my luggage for a few hours.

The hotel is in a good location , near the train station and surrounded by great bars and restraunts next to the canal .
The hotel is very clean , the rooms are beautiful and the staff are excellent !
The sky bar is a must visit , the views from there are amazing !
I would highly recommend the breakfast 10/10.
In my opinion the hotel is faultless .

Has been a while since we last stayed at the DoubleTree in Leeds and the rooms have had a refresh, ours was clean, spacious and stylish. That shower was great and the luxury toiletries were a nice touch. The breakfast was great, lots of choices both healthy and indulgent. The staff were also happy and friendly especially noted as they were working over Christmas. However, on Boxing Day evening there was a private party in the rooftop bar that went on until the early hours of the morning and even seven floors below the bar, we could hear the constant and bass-heavy music. Why would Hilton allow that kind of party until those hours. We raised it with the front desk in the morning and they said other people had also complained. We will certainly think twice about this hotel for Christmas if they hire out the bar for private parties.

Shocking experience during our first and last visit to this hotel and ironically, the day after staying at mother Doubletree in another city with a very different experience.

This hotel for me is not a true 4 star, I would say on par with a Premier Inn.

There was a music event in their rooftop bar which blasted loud music until after 2am - there was no warning of this before booking or at check in, they simply said “Our Sky Lounge is closed this evening for a private event”.

Cleanliness was also poor, towels and bedding wasn’t clean and reception didn’t answer the phone. The bed wasn’t very comfortable either so got no sleep. I raised a formal complaint and still haven’t had a response. No slippers or dressing gowns (not that I would have used it given the hygiene issues), no shower cap etc in the room.

Parking is over £20 but wasn’t available anyway, I found street parking nearby for the same duration for £3.

Wait times for check in and their elevators are long.

The only benefit for us really was location as it’s close to everything in the centre and has a little shop close by.

My wife and I stayed at the DoubleTree in Leeds for two nights and had a great experience. The staff were excellent, friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout our stay. Our room was spotless and comfortable, featuring a vast, comfortable bed that ensured a great night's sleep. The hotel is conveniently located, within a reasonable distance from the city centre, and we really enjoyed the lovely views of the canal from our room. Everything went smoothly, and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

The room was comfortable and clean with a luxury feel to the bathroom. Good shower pressure with an adjustable head. Slept well in the bed with good pillows and mattress. Nice touch to have a fridge for some fresh milk with the tea and coffee facilities. Sky lounge and restaurant both excellent. Breakfast was well stocked and good quality with a wide choice. Only let down was the night staff for room service. The 24hr menu wasn’t in fact 24hr. We had relied on that. The front desk said they couldn’t provide anything other than one sandwich option. They weren’t apologetic and seemed annoyed to be questioned as to why that was all there was on offer. Hopefully, a one-off and will definitely still stay again.

A lovely hotel with excellent staff in all areas. The breakfast was good with a reasonable selection of food, but would have benefitted from a slightly larger selection. The Sky Bar has amazing views and the staff very welcoming and personable.
In the room, the bed was extremely comfortable with excellent pillows. It was clean, but a little bit ‘tired’. The furniture suffered from design over functionality. The door handles were ridiculously small and not easy to open. There was a small table with only one chair and one uncomfortable stool, all a bit unsatisfactory. In the bathroom, the plug in the basin was rusty and we were unable to open it to drain the basin. This was resolved when we returned to the room, but it should not have been as issue in the first place.
Overall it’s a nice hotel and I would stay again.

We were given an accessible room so was very large however the bathroom wasn’t brilliant for us due to the accessible features - very low sink, high toilet, wet room etc . The bathroom fan also did not work. Air con in the room also did not work. The bedroom fan worked and was very loud, however we were still boiling all night despite being on max fan and coldest setting. Sound proofing was great and we didn’t hear anything despite being over the train station. Lots of sockets in the room was a bonus, but a dressing table would have been good.

Awsome location, easy walk to town with excellent variety of bars directly outside of hotel. Sky lounge is lovely but expensive and very loud. The lock bar was again excellent, reasonable prices, again not cheap but throughout the areas staff were well presented and very attentive.

Room clean but bed was very hard and unfortunatley a poor nights sleep for us both and wifes back suffered for a few hours after we woke. Pillows too soft and no firmer options that we were aware of.

The room was nice, very spacious and modern, the bed was very comfortable which is always a bonus, although I did have to report a fault with one of the lights in the bathroom, but it was fixed very quickly by the maintenance team which was great. The amenities looked really good, I didn't get a chance to try them but I did have a brief look.
Unfortunately I was disappointed by the service from the staff on the front desk and over the phone, the two staff I spoke to were quite rude in my opinion, and not very welcoming, it was the same when leaving the hotel to check out, very abrupt, nobody asked me how my stay was, just sort of handed them the key and that was it. I think I've honestly had better service at budget hotels like an Ibis or a Premier inn.

Brilliant hotel, very comfortable and well appointed room (with Sky Sports!),superb breakfast and the Sky Lounge is great. Only loses a star because unfortunately there was a constant noise from some sort of generator, or perhaps another guest who had their aircon on full blast all night. I was on the 11th floor so perhaps something on the roof, but it kept me up a lot of the night!
