My stay at Park Plaza Leeds was a very disappointing experience. The hotel is advertised as a four-star property, but based on my travel experience, it does not meet that standard and is closer to a three-star hotel at best.
The rooms and facilities feel very dated. The beds, bedside cabinets, and carpets are old, and the carpets were visibly stained. Overall, the hotel appears tired and in need of refurbishment.
I would not recommend this hotel and would not choose to stay here again.

Reception staff were friendly on check in, very dismissive in checkout (left around 7am) and 2 memebers of staff continued to talk and ignore me. The room was comfortable, however marked carpets and wardrobes smeared/ smudged with what I assume is cleaning products. Foul smell in the lift when checking out.

Excellent location, just across the road from the railway station. The rooms are in a skyscraper, so was high up in the hotel, but there are plenty of lifts. Very close to all the shops in Leeds too. I didn't book breakfast so can't comment on that.
The kettle in my room wouldn't work and the hairdryer in the bathroom was a bit old, but there was another one in the room. I was able to leave my luggage there before check in/after check out.

Set room temperature to 16. Woke up at 1am to find it had changed to 18 so reduced to 16. Awoke at 0500 to find the temp at 26. Lights directly about the bed randomly turned on overnight.
Raised this with reception and maintenance resolved the random lighting.

Returned to room at 2200 to find housekeeping had not visited. Temp was again at 26. Rang reception and was promised they would change the temperature centrally. Again 0500 and 26 degrees.

Heading 26 again FFS.
Spoke with reception and assured they would manage this remotely.
0500 and 26 degrees. Gave up. Got you early and went to work on 5 hrs sleep.

Despite two seperate telephone calls to the hotel to request a room close to the accessible room we had reserved for our son, on arrival we were on the 5th floor and our son was on the 18th floor! Fortunately, the hotel was able to accommodate us both on the 15th floor. However, the rooms were adequate but somewhat lacking in the comfort expected from paying £200 a night! Breakfast was extra and also a tad disappointing, though the Tea was excellent! Lifts are SLOW and random. Wheelchair access and egress is through a FIRE EXIT, there is NO parking at the hotel and nearest parking is a 5 minute walk but will take 20-30 mins to drive to! The accessible room was very good but some of the equipment was missing or broken. We were offered a refund on departure - but as yet, 10 days later - no refund has arrived! If you must stay here, the train station is right across the road, so come by train!

I am disabled. From beginning to end the staff could not have done more for me. Particularly the night security guy who absolutely went out of his way for me. The only issue i had was the corner of the sink unit in my bathroom stuck into my leg when sat on the loo. They should round this corner off to prevent injury.

The Plaza is very close to the station and shops, but also quiet and private. The rooms are spacious and very well equipped, with a decent shower. Very helpful reception staff gave me a list of places to eat in town. If it continues to offer good prices it's on my list for places to stay when I visit Leeds.

My room (I can't speak for anyone elses) was in a fairly tired state of repair. Frayed and stained carpeting, no bedside lamp/s. I could hear people in the room next to me through the wall. And they were just talking normally. Not my idea of a 4 * hotel unfortunately. Common parts (restaurant, bar etc all nice, however).

Lovely welcome from Stella on reception. Rooms are a bit dated but the bed was comfy bed and plenty tea/coffee. Great location just minutes from the train station and literally 30degrees from the trinity shopping centre. Breakfast was lovely. Would definitely stay again.

The bar is incredibly expensive for very average wine, we werent told that you only get discount on parking if it is pre booked!
Two half used rolls of loo paper were all we had in the bathroom and good luck turning the shower on without getting soaked with cold water.

2 night stay at this hotel , breakfast was good , staff at breakfast were very efficient, even though on one of the mornings it was very busy . Reception staff were very pleasant. Only downside for our stay was the bathroom we would have liked a walk in shower rather than over the bath shower . However we do recommend this hotel

We booked breakfast, it took 15 minutes for the coffee to come round. I asked if I could order some vegetarian sausages, asked twice where they were. Gave up after 25 minutes. The place has sadly gone downhill service wise.

This hotel is very central and the room was as you'd expect for a hotel at this level.A good bath,plenty of hot water and the beds a little firm but acceptable.The staff were helpful. BUT. A BIG problem for us was that the advertised restaurant was only open 4 nights a week-closed at the weekend(!!!)Friday,Sat.,and Sunday. We stayed for 2 nights-yes,Friday and Saturday! The hotel was very busy with plenty of guests so I cannot understand why potential income would be thrown away. We are in our 70's and a restaurant is VERY important as my wife likes to dress up and wear her jewellery.We do NOT want to walk about anywhere at night outside the hotel! We frequently take city breaks and ALWAYS book only hotels with restaurants (bar food is ok but as a meal not an experience). We booked through Hotels.com,a we always do,so we took all our info from their listing.This hotel boasted their Chino Latino restaurant (sounded lovely!)but nowhere in the listing did it say there were restricted opening times.The hotel emailed me 3 times before the visit and never mentioned the restaurant restrictions. If they had we would have booked elsewhere. So if,like us,you want a decent restaurant and you happen to want to stay at the weekend-don't book here.

Checked in and Stella on reception was friendly and welcoming. The hotel was clean and well maintained. The bedroom, which was on the 16th floor was spacious and clean. The walls however are not very good at dampening the sounds throughout the night of people talking in the hallway, music playing from other rooms at 4am and the final wake up call which I do not recall asking for which was the sound of a couple ‘having a good time’ in the room opposite. When informing reception and security of the banging of the bed against the wall and the screams of sexual pleasure had disturbed my nights sleep. The response I received was ‘there were on women staying in the hotel last night’. Very poor customer service, actually zero customer service at all.

The location is excellent although the hotel does not have a car park. Check in and check out can all be done remotely and the hotel are happy to look after cases.
