Great stay at the hotel. Hotel is clean, room was spacious, bed comfortable and quiet.
Only downside was no parking at the hotel, although I managed to get parked in front of the hotel on the street, these spaces are limited. Staff member directed me to a carpark the hotel uses \"about 7 minutes away\" - but as I said, got a space on the street.
Would stay here again, should I be back in Leeds

Rooms are in dire need of an upgrade. You usually associate Leonardo hotels with a decent standard of quality but the Leeds one is very run down. Bathrooms are low quality, beds are ok. Guess we can't complain too much at the price we paid

For starters I paid £220 a night for this hotel, a massively overinflated price.

The room itself was so rundown and tired so absolutely not worth the price. To add to my issues my neighbours were unbelievably selfish and loud. They played music full blast late at night and were shouting.

This isn’t the fault of the hotel however their response to dealing with them wasn’t great. They refused to move me until I pushed for the second night. Surely with rowdy guests if they ignore orders to quieten

The card reader on the door was faulty so it took many attempts to open the room door each time we needed to re-enter. This was happening to multiple other rooms as well and the people in the next room were sitting in the hallway because they couldn't get in. This happening was inconvenient enough but didn't feel safe late at night. There was also black mold in the shower. Not a very nice experience for the price.

Hairdryer was plugged in and when switching on it crackled and died. This could have been very dangerous.

The rooms are very tired and in desperate need of a refresh, think peeling paint, and holes covered in an entirely different shade of putty to the paint.

Our bathroom was pretty disgusting, with marks (looking like wee splashback) all over the wall by the toilet, including around the toilet roll holder, and back of the door.

The bathroom door HAD to be fully closed, otherwise you got smacked in the face with it if you were sitting on the toilet.

I had requested an early check in and although I arrived at 8am (very early) I did get into my room at 11am some 4 hours early. Room was fine and we enjoyed breakfast in the morning.

There was a party on our hotel floor with teenage boys running around drunk and slamming doors till 1am. We complained to management at 10pm but it took several hours for the boys to be thrown out. In the mean time, they repeatedly woke up our child. We asked to speak to management to complain in the morning but they were busy!
We only got a few hours sleep.
I think this hotel is more of a party destination then suitable for young families

Good Value For Money

Excellent value for money in comparison to some other pricier hotels in Leeds. Staff were friendly and helpful, room was clean and comfortable.
Breakfast wasn't the great, and the parking situation was really not clear on booking - car park is a 10 minute walk away at the docks and you pay every time tou leave so if going out in the day more than once, you pay more.
Probably would only stay again if we were going without the car/not going to need the car much, also wouldn't bother paying the extra for breakfast. If none of that is an issue for you then its a lovely little hotel for a very reasonable price.

The thing that bugs me is I went for a shower and neither the shampoo or body wash bottles dispensed any liquid. I had to take them out of the dispenser holder, remove the tops and pour the product into my hand. I would still stay again but check things work before I use them.

Disappointed on this occasion. Huge que and only one person on reception as I arrived with another for part of it. Almost robotic speak on trying to find out when can get in room. Bed wasn't very comphy on this occasion too. Didn't sleep well. Ended up checking out at 6am. Jus wanted to go home. Hope it improves for next time. Never had issues in the past so disappointed this time

Broken shower head

Some light bulbs not working.
Shower head was loose on the wall and most of the pressure was lost due to the water coming out from the back. They are the fixed type so needed to be taken off to rectify. If I was staying another night I would have requested it to be fixed or moved.

On a pus side, reception guy was nice and helpful and gave me a complimentary late checkout.

Hotel location is convenient yet quiet and within short walking distance of Leeds city centre and public transport. Public area of hotel was well maintained and we enjoyed the quality and range of food at breakfast. Our room was clean, a good size and comfortable although some of the fittings are a little dated. There is very limited parking available immediately around the hotel and the multistories in Leeds are fairly costly so bear that in mind if planning to drive to Leeds and stay here.

I didn’t like the way the receptionist gave 3 complimentary breakfasts to the walk in in front of us but offered us nothing! Really bad customer service. Hotel was slightly off the beaten track but still central for what we needed. Plenty of tea and coffee but no shower cap. Small sainsbury next door.

Nice stay, query the check out time

We had a lovely stay, the room was nice and big and the bed was comfy. The only downside is that when we checked in, we were told checkout was at 12pm and this was written on our room card. At 11:30am we had loud knocking and a very angry voice saying ‘hotel management, open your door’. We were told that we should have checked out at 11am. I explained that we were told 12pm and showed her the card which said 12pm. We were just told ‘that’s fine’, but it just made us both feel a bit off that it had happened.

Okay, slightly disappointed for a leonardo hotel.
Room temperature thermostat in the room was not working so was blowing out cold air despite me leaving it on for some time, almost an hour and it did not warm up so the room was freezing until i gave up and turned it off.
I ordered a hot chocoloate and paid the full price and was given half a cup. Its not entirely the bartenders fault, i could see her struggling to work the machine, it appeared faulty. At this point i should have been offered a refund or an alternative instead of half a cup and she put the lid on and did not say anything. I had paid 3.70 for a full cup.
Walls are very thin. I could hear the guest next door talking and he was not particularly loud, it was clear that the walls are not soundproof. Not the worst stay but not sure if i would stay here again

Great hotel!

Hotel was great, very modern, rooms were very clean and modern too. Free minibar with some water, coke and some chocolate, which is definitely a plus and some great coffee making facilities. Only two things that let our suite down a bit - the fridge wasn't very cold in the room and the bathroom was a bit outdated. Breakfast was really good for the price and there was plenty of choice. For the price we paid on Easter Weekend was great. Highly recommend.
