We were given an ‘accessible’ double room with a bunk over the top. When we entered the room there was a powerful smell of sick and cleaning fluid but the room was in no way clean. We wanted budget and got what we paid for - but won’t be coming back.

VERY basic.
Do not make the same mistake I did if you intend to book here. Do not attempt to drive as there is no carpark- you will need to pay a separate place for that luxury, then leave your vehicle and walk to the hotel.
Make sure you read fully what is included (I made completely incorrect assumptions). There is no kettle in the room, there is very little other than a bed, shower, toilet and freeview tv.
When I realised all of this, after the fiasco of not being able to get parked for such a long time, it was after 10pm and the only thing open for me to get any soft drinks was Tesco Express approx 13 minutes away on foot. I hadn’t wanted to spend another small fortune on drinks from the hotel knowing I was already paying extra to park.

Budget, basic, barely anything in it.

The second day of our stay we came back to the room in the evening to find out that the window has been opened the whole day (kept open with a towel). It was freezing and raining. It took a while to warm the room. We never knew why they did it.

The reception staff were friendly, efficient and polite. Check in queue moved very quickly. Cleanliness of hallways were poor, dusty, rubbish along corridor and needed a hoover. Rooms are very very basic. Cleanliness wasnt not 100%. Dust and pubes in shower cubicle. Half a toilet roll in toilet. Bed was comfortable and room was quiet for the majority of our staff. Noise heard from other guest's coming back at 2am and 2.45am who talked loudly as they walked along the corridor. Toilet cubicle door was very noisy. Room was very hot and stuffy even with no heating on and window open. Would only stay again if there was nowhere else to book as the based location was convenient for town and the arena

Blood stains on the mattress cover and one of the beds was unmade. Told reception immediately after checking in and they said they could get security (???) to deliver a new cover in 4 hours time when they start their shift (???) and offered no compensation. They also said housekeeping would not make the bed for us whilst we were out. Bathroom stunk of fags too.

I know it's only a small inconvenience but that's not the point when you pay for a hotel is it?
