I thoroughly enjoyed my one night stay.
The downside was the food from the bar, which was not up to the Hotel standards. I did talk with the manager and he compensated my meal which was kind. The reason I mentioned this is so that they can improve the cooking method to make the food more palatable.
The two young ladies at the front desk were charming and very, very helpful.
I would recommend this Hotel to anyone who asks.

Arrived at the hotel where there was plenty of on-site parking - a rare find in Leeds, and reasonably priced at £24 for the two nights.

Greeted by receptionist who was warm and welcoming. No fuss check-in and the upgrade we were offered pre-check in was all confirmed.

The room, as with everywhere else in the hotel was immaculately clean. If you can book, or get an upgrade to the superking rooms, do it. We did it via upgrade which also gained us 15% off food and drinks throughout our stay and a 13:00 checkout time. We also had breakfast included. The room was so spacious, the bed so comfy. The towels are so soft and fluffy, too!

The only downside at this hotel is, there is no air conditioning. Most of the time this won’t be a problem in the UK. It at temperatures in the high 20’s, the room did get warm.

Breakfast was great - the guy who treated us at the restaurant desk on both mornings was a real gem! We didn’t get his name. It’s a real chilled affair, plentiful in choice for a buffet and you can request your eggs any way you like. This is a good value for money for breakfast - whilst it may not be “the best” you’ve ever had, it is good and there’s plant of choice.

We will stay here again, if for nothing else, how clean and comfortable the room is and the friendliness of the staff overall.

Another superb stay at The Clayton, we won't stay anywhere else when in Leeds. I rang ahead and spoke to Emma on Reception to let her know we were coming to celebrate a belated Birthday and when we got to the room there were balloons, a banner and a card which was such a lovely touch. We always upgrade to a Deluxe room (about an extra £20-£30) and they are on higher floors so seem a lot quieter than lower floors. Parking is right underneath the hotel with a lift taking you straight up to reception - £14 for 24 hours which you cant grumble with at all for city centre parking. You could tell there had been some reinvestment as the lifts had been renovated, the bathroom was great with a lovely double length walk in rainfall shower. Extremely comfy beds, had a great night sleep and really appreciated an optional fan provided in the room as it was hot weather when we stayed. Breakfast was hot and plentiful as always, love that you can make a coffee to takeaway too - bit disappointed that there were no fried eggs or fried bread readily available this time but I'm sure if I'd asked, they would have cooked some. Ventured out to the city centre shops and a restaurant in the evening, no problem for reception to book us a taxi and it was only £5 on way, bargain for a Saturday night! Immediately looking at diaries to see when we can come again - best hotel in the UK nevermind Leeds!

We did have an issue with our power to the room the second night, like like the cleaners blocked the card reader out of place. Once pushed back in place this issue was sorted

Regular visitor to The Clayton Leeds don't know this time around the area felt strange, on arrival the metal barriers to the car park was down and no explanation note on them to say what to do. Car park when entering very few cars which was good as plenty of space to park, unusual for this hitel as it does get very busy. Had to go to reception as no way to contact to be told we will open them and let you in.

Room was clean, bathroom had a refurb which was nice to see as had become dated. The safe did not work in the room, but saying that over heard telephone call to reception that another guest could have used the back office one behind reception. As only one night did not bother. Breakfast was plentyful which we enjoyed the choice hot or cold options. The front off the hotel was taped off which made us wonder on arrival in something was going on and that's why car park was closed.

Realised next morning it was because the canopy had smashed above. So stopping guest walking on right side incase it broke. Having said that from height it would go all over anyway. A polite notice would have been less concerning.

This did not stop us having a good stay, reception staff as always very helpful and courteous yo their guest. Cleanliness very good, reception very clean. Would any of the above stop me going again no minor hiccups for a busy hotel

Nice clean hotel, good size standard king room, staff very friendly and informative, tea and coffee available in room with biscuits, Nespresso would have been better as offered by other hotels in the area. Good size desk for working on, with sockets and USB points close to hand. wifi had good signal and easy to connect to. No usb points or plug sockets near the bed though. Hair dryer, safe, iron and board also supplied in the room. Shower was powerful and hot with large head as well as smaller shower and soap/shampoo available.
Evening meal was tasty with good portion and friendly, efficient service. Breakfast buffet was good with a wide selection of hot food and some pastries/muffins, great to have fresh baked croissants and pain au choc still warm, cereals, fruit etc with coffee machine. However, the food could have been hotter from the buffet. Parking available at reasonable price for the area £14 overnight, but spaces were quite small with not much room between cars, especially larger cars.

Breakfast was good, the selection was varied and well made. The room we had was a room on the first floor fitted out for the disabled, which isn't what we needed or required or expected, low wardrobe rails, little furnishings, wet room, which meant no bath, low sink. I complained but the desk staff blamed the room allocation on the fact we checked in on line! So my advice queue and ensure you get the right room allocation for your original booking.

Parking was great, easy to find and very convenient being one floor below the hotel reception. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and tidy. The city centre is on the doorstep so everything was very close. The downside was, no aircon in the room. We were also emailed about early check in which was not available. Told to come back at 2PM when check in time actually was. Then we still couldn’t check in. We were offered free drinks in the bar while we waited but we had to go to the football. The receptionist told us that the free drinks were to be added to our room and we could have them in the evening. However, when we came back and finally managed to check in we were told we had 50% off. Just a little disappointed in the this whole check in service.

The hotel was immaculate and breakfast was good but the stand out feature of our stay were the staff. All staff we dealt with were extremely helpful, courteous and we loved the sense of humour of the male member of staff greeting us at breakfast. Our room was lovely and comfortable and the discount on hotel bar items was great.

Had to hunt for a hair towel and tea and coffee facilities. No iron - but there was an ironing board. Staff really friendly and helpful. Great porridge and selection at breakfast. It's a decent size, pretty clean well located hotel.
The down side is that it is pretty much dated. The rooms definitely require a revamp , the heating (radiator) made a load noise once switched on and didn't fully work. The TV is old and has limited channels, the bed was of a good size but the mattress was worn!

Parking: the parking is very tight , I had to get in through the passengers side!
Breakfast, only half decent.

Looks fantastic however, a little bit of style over substance here. Good in the bar was ok but expensive. The room looked great but few plugs and no USB sockets. The bathroom had a shower from 1982 and a shower curtain from the same decade. Nowhere to put any toiletries and no fan in the bathroom either. Bed was comfy though and the room large enough. Car park was like something of an apocalypse with cars abandoned absolutely anywhere there was even half a space.

This was the second time that my Wife and .I have stayed here. The hotel is well appointed light and airy, clean and tidy. We were offered a room upgrade at a small cost which we took up. Room itself very nice with comfortable bed. Breakfast was buffet style with good selection. Staff all very pleasant and the location in easy reach of central Leeds.

Nice hotel within easy reach of city centre. We were able to check in early so we could put our bags straight in our room before heading out. Parking was simple and plentiful although I don’t think the hotel was particularly busy.

Main let down points were; the staff in the bar were not particularly attentive and at times more concerned about cleaning and fixing something than serving customers who were waiting and secondly the level of staff in the kitchen at breakfast was woefully short meaning eggs were being cooked to order and by the time you got them other items had run out.

The room was fine. Quite nice decor. Bathroom looked clean but under sink and in areas if you looked a bit closer it was quite dirty. Could have done with 2 x the toilet roll and milk for the amount of people in room.
Breakfast was overpriced for £10pp as the full English was poor. I was really looking forward to it but ingredients tasted cheap and it was just slop
