The receptionist was very friendly and even insisted on carrying my bag to the room. He showed me the room and asked if I needed else. The room was small and comfortable, just what I needed for an overnight stay in Leeds. Plenty of parking spaces and a variety of places to eat and drink near by. My second time of staying here, would definitely come back again. Thank you.

The room and bathroom were so nice and clean. The usual tea and coffee in the room was very welcome. Nice to have free on site parking. The continental breakfast was very reasonably priced. And being attached to such a lovely Indian restaurant was a bonus.
What made it excellent was Ola on reception.
So helpful and approachable, especially with luggage as a lift is not available . Very helpful explaining buses into town, saving on expensive city centre parking. I know where to stay for the next gig!

Basic good value hotel

Old building about 2 miles from Leeds centre but lots of shops, pubs, coffee bars, restaurants nearby. Otley Road is a nice area. For what i paid for a single economy room it was good value. No frills and a bit dated but clean. Large car park. The gentleman (owner i think) was very friendly and helpful on arrival. Overall it was fine for a one night solo stay - thanks

Lovely reception from Ola the Manager when we arrived, and he was good enough to help with our bags to the room. (not something often experienced these days!). There was a little welcome gift in the room for us which was very nice and room was well proportioned. Everywhere was clean and tidy, however the shower head support was loose on the wall, which was a little inconvenient. Having said that, there was plenty of hot water and the tea and coffee facilities were well stocked. We ate in the attached restaurant and I can honestly say, the Indian food was extremely good. A great value hotel and we left feeling well looked after. Will definitely stay here again.

OK room, let down by service

Room was clean and comfortable but the stay was let down by breakfast only being served 8-9 which I didn't know when I paid. I enquired about the possibility of an earlier breakfast which was fairly declined, but then I was given a very blunt "no" when I asked for a refund on the payment for breakfast I had just made. I raised this in a message to the hotel but had no reply.

An Old Fashioned but Friendly Hotel

An old hotel but quaint. Good old fashioned Northern service and style. The Manager is always friendly and helpful . Location is perfect for us when we are up that way visiting our son at Leeds Uni or whether we are there on business. Having the Restaurant next door as an added bonus when you have been driving for hours as well.

So it's no premier inn etc, but for this price bracket you could do worse (and I have!). Everything else on this night was twice the price.
Surprisingly comfortable, clean, perfectly fine. Happy to stay again - and I'm a bit fussy. Didn't feel like a was having to compromise on anything particularly. Would recommend and will book again. Wish I'd checked in earlier and had a curry there.

A pleasant welcome, room was clean and what I expected. Plenty of parking. Away from city center, several eating outlets short walk from hotel. Petrol station opposite. Ianian restaurant on site.

So this is the second time, I’ve stayed at this property. The previous time being before the lockdown for COVID. My opinion is that the property is better now than it was then and it was adequate then but now it is very good.
There seem to have been improvements in decor and in cleanliness and the staff were very helpful. The security gentleman who checked us in on arrival was very pleasant and the, presumably, hotel owner who was present at breakfast in the mornings was very pleasant also. He also had a young lady working with him, who was also very pleasant and helpful.
On both occasions, I stayed at this hotel I stayed because I was attending functions at the Castle Grove function suite and it’s very convenient being approximately an eight minute walk.
I would definitely stay at this property again, and I recommend it to others.

Noise

I can’t fault the service or cleanliness. However if you are looking for a quiet night, it’s difficult to get here due to being able to hear other guest room doors closing. Other guests talking in the hallway is very loud. The noise carries easily.

We were so disappointed. Our room was very grubby, expelair was full of dust, not been cleaned for months. The bedding had old stains that had not washed out. No spare pillows and no breakfast, which we were told on arrival. We would not recommend this hotel.

Hotel location is on a busy main road but not so vesable or easy to find! Single room was very small. Noisy ceiling untill midnight from restaurant above the basement room.Very annoying! Everything was dated. Shower room was small & cold, not so spotless, radiator in there never came on! Up an down with too many steps moving heavy luggage! no ramp or assistance offered! Not a comfortable or happy short stay!
