Lovely stay nice room, pretty good breakfast, lovely MASSIVE pool. A negative would be breakfast price higher than other hotels locally & no fried eggs/ hot choc/ marmite/ Nutella, not loads of choices and not worth the extra £2 a head than other local 4* hotels.

Club rooms are starting to look a bit dated and could do with an overhaul - and also maybe not be situated at the furthest away corridor of the hotel!
The parking for guests actually staying in the hotel is a nightmare with disgraceful parking from fitness facility users during peak times.

The hotel is tired and scruffy and a little bit smelly (that lingering odour of fried food and feet/gyms) and my room needed a deep clean around the edges, walls and carpets and a damp cloth with something lovely smelling wouldn’t go amiss… BUT, the room was comfortable and very quiet, and the staff were absolutely the most lovely, kind, helpful people I’ve met in a long time [apart from Saj the Uber driver who is a class apart]. There was nothing they wouldn’t do, so helpful, smiling and just really welcoming. Maintenance, reception and hospitality, all lovely.
It’s in a good location for lots of the little towns and villages round Leeds and is on a few bus routes too.
If you accept that for the price, you aren’t getting the Ritz, this is an excellent place to stay.

Placed in family room was like being in the centre of a playgroup classroom noisy as hell kids running up and screaming along corridors. Asked to be moved twice. We recently stayed at the Village Hotel and had a great experience overall. The food was excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed the spa and pool facilities. Our room was lovely and clean, however, we did face an issue with the heat; without air conditioning, the room became quite unbearable. Although there was a fan available, it was very loud, which disrupted our sleep. Despite this, we would definitely stay again, as the location was perfect for attending the cricket at Headingley.

Absolutely disgusting. The room was filthy. Carpets were filthy. Dust and grime along all the skirts, the bed frame, curtains, everywhere. Soiled carpets and musty smell. Splash marks up the walls, soiled headboard which was FULL of dirt and hair which could be seen in the light as soon as you sat on the bed! No way to air out the room as the windows (also never cleaned) opened a fraction. No fan , no ac and no extractor. There isn’t even any plugs by the bedside to use. It was so dirty that my asthma was exacerbated terribly. I had to take anti histamines and extra meds. I left < an hour because it was so bad. I was told to email management all the evidence for my refund. That was weeks ago and not as much as a reply. It seems they cannot be bothered to even address their level of cleanliness which affects people’s health. A disgusting hotel.

The place is very clean, the bedroom was huge with a comfy superking bed, the leisure club was excellent and not too busy even though we went on a Saturday morning.
