The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the front, communal areas of the hotel were in great condition. However, the room and upper hallways looked like they really needed a lot of maintenance and attention. Yellowing and stained ceiling tiles from a couple different leaks, peeling wallpaper, etc. It just felt old and in need of updates. That said, there were no issues with hot water or the room HVAC unit.

There was no luggage rack. There was only one washcloth in the bathroom, The rug in the bedroom was old and worn. The hall rug was dirty.. Room amenities were non-existent.
We have stayed in this hotel several times over the past 20 or so years. The atrium was gorgeous and the pool looked inviting. However, the hotel looked shopworn. and in need of attention. It was a disappointment.

It was somewhat disappointing. Room was just a room. Staff was fine in the small contact I had checking in and out.
Break fast also disappointing. In the morning we found you had to order thru the front desk and it was delivered take out style to eat in the lobby or go back to your room. Motel 6 does a better job of it.

The only reason this place deserves more than one star is because of one exceptional waitress who provided outstanding service. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was extremely disappointing. The property is old and poorly maintained, with uncomfortable beds, a musty odor, visible mold, and layers of paint covering previous damage. The bathroom felt unsafe, with a soft, sinking floor in the shower. Overall, I would not stay here again.

This hotel definitely needs a facelift. It seems outdated by at least 30 or 40 years. The beds were comfortable and it was safe and convenient, so it’s by no means unacceptable. My room smelled like mold, possibly because of the lack of bathroom fans. This property is merely adequate. Ain’t great, but it’s not awful either.

Everything was perfectly fine. Only complaint was the dirty carpets in the halls but that didn’t stop me and my partner from having a good stay. Most importantly was the room. Our room was clean and everything worked well (AC, Bathroom, Fridge,etc). Nice little view of the forest behind the hotel. Very peaceful and quiet. Would come again if needed.

The hotel is off the beaten path. It’s a little outdated but it was comfortable enough! The beds were actually really comfortable, and the restaurant/bar was great. The rooms surround a massive atrium with a pool. Even with it being out dated we enjoyed our stay!

We arrived at the hotel after 8pm on the Saturday evening due to Thrifty Car rentals holding us at the airport for 4 hours not having any cars available. The restaurant had closed by 8:30 so that we had to drive 20 minutes off site for a meal. They were able to hold a wedding after hours, but no dining. The next morning, Sunday, the restaurant was again closed, advertised as available for take out, again closed - so no breakfast. Again, we had to travel off site for food. I've worked in restaurants, who closes a hotel restaurant at 8:30 on Saturday and all day Sunday?

The hotel is a little old, but it is very clean and pretty for a nice stay! The area around it is wooded and really nice! The staff was very friendly and I really enjoyed my stay. I do wish that they had some vegan items on the menu at the restaurant. There was one veggie burger, but it did not specify if it was vegan and the menu was heavily based on animal flesh and meat. Other than that, the day was great and the price was great! I would definitely recommend recommended!

Adequate but not “nice”

We needed a hotel that was pet friendly to stay in the night before we moved into our house. This fit the bill, though it was much dingier and older than the photos portrayed. Rooms were clean but everything just felt damp. The employee at the front desk was not very welcoming.

Complete remodel of everything needed rugs in the hallway old dirty worn, the bathrooms. I waited until I got home to take a shower. I traveled all the way from Boston. I would’ve rather just paid an extra hundred dollars and stayed at a hotel in Boston. Expedia has a nerve to charge $50 booking fee for that disgusting hotel. I guess anything to make money.

The vent from the ceiling was dripping, floor was wet and the smell from the room was unbearable, possibly an overly pungent cleaning solution? It was so bad that my eight year old daughter started to cry. Yes, they changed our rooms. The new room, the smell was much more mild but the ceiling vent was still leaking and the floor was wet. We had a room facing the indoor pool so could not even open the door to get fresh air. It was dingy at best. And the lobby coffee was never filled. Highly recommend to not stay here

This was a former Holiday Inn. The bathroom can best be described as shabby. Renovation is urgently needed. It did not appear that the toilet had been scrubbed. The decor would have been considered dated in the 1970’s.

I would not recommend anyone to go this hotel because
1. It was too noisy because of the party at the ballroom at the night time could not able to sleep at all and I called desk they don’t care about their guests
2. Room was too bright because window curtain was not enough to make it darker
3. Rooms are very stinky and smelly
4. Beds are so dirty
There are mamangement problem. I would not recommend anyone to go this hotel. I would rather sleep in my car

The Smell of Outdated 1970's

Upon walking to my room I noticed the hallway carpet looked outdated and worn, this was the same case inside the room. Looks like the Hotel has not been updated since the 1970's .
When entering the room you could smell damp, musty, moldy in the air. The furniture was old and water stained along with scratches. The wallpaper has waterstains as well. The only thing the room had going for it was the white bedding.
The bathroom did not have a plastic shower liner therefore, water was getting all over the floor while soaking the actual curtain. The inside of the tub was slippery.

The carpet in the living area was damp.

Great staff, less than awesome facility

Staff was absolutely lovely and helpful. Its sort of a weird hotel. The restaurant was delicious- i just got a sandwich, but it was really good. The grounds were unkept, my room vaguely smelled like smoke, the coffee was bitter (there was no coffee maker in the room)... it just sort of needs an overhaul and updating. Its ok, but i wouldnt go back. Whoever the owner is is very lucky to have such great employees bc they saved the stay!

The hotel unfortunately did not match what was shown online at the time of booking. The room was not clean, with peeling paint on the walls and an overall worn-down appearance. The dining area, which was advertised as available, was actually closed — and appeared dirty and unattended. private guest gym had a strong, unpleasant odor that made it unusable. Overall, the condition of the hotel was disappointing and did not reflect what was advertised.

The front office staff were very friendly, helpful, and kind! We ordered food from the restaurant, and it was good and the portion sizes were generous. The bar staff were also friendly, and the pool area was clean and inviting.

However, the rooms were quite dated and in need of upgrades. They lacked basic amenities like coffee makers, and unfortunately, the sheets and towels were dirty.

We also had a negative experience with the housekeeping staff. They scolded our group for congregating in the common area and insisted that we return all the chairs we moved. One staff member even told us not to make her job harder, as it was her responsibility to clean up after guests. This interaction felt unprofessional and unnecessary.

Overall, while the customer service at the front desk and bar was excellent and the amenities like the pool were enjoyable, the condition of the rooms and the attitude of some housekeeping staff left a lot to be desired.

The restaurant and pool closed very early, even though they were “fully booked”. The bar was open and thriving, though! They did give local restaurants that were open. A police officer, who was standing at the front desk, told us that all there was to do in the town was (and I QUOTE!) murder each other. We even asked him to repeat himself. Not even joking. Our refrigerator wasn’t plugged in and where the plug was, we couldn’t plug it in and when we asked if they could, they never did. The ice machine was broken. The bed was horribly uncomfortable. I thought it was interesting that the hallways were reminiscent of “The Shining”. There was duplicate art work right next to each other, which was trippy after a couple of drinks. The room we stayed in wasn’t cleaned well, but they were constantly understaffed so I cleaned it. Overall a very “Twilight Zone” experience. I want to give it 5 stars but it’s really hard because of the refrigerator being unplugged destroyed ALL of our food and even after us being gone all day, they still didn’t fix the situation. And the bed was horrible.

The staff was overwhelmingly friendly and helpful with one glaring exception. The bartender on Friday night was extremely rude and confrontational. I went to the bar only looking for some forks to eat our leftover Chinese food in the room (which I had in cooler) and she accused me of trying to sneak alcohol into the bar. When I tried to explain she didn’t want to hear it and raised the temperature further. Fortunately another employee came along and retrieved plastic forks for us. The bartender was just nasty in comparison.

The property was what I needed, a cheap hotel that was close to the highway for work. It stood out to me initially because they have a beautiful interior courtyard. The building is undergoing renovation and I was told as a historic building, it takes more time for approval. However, the rooms were tough to spend time in. Luckily it was only sleeping I needed it for. The rooms do have quite a musty smell. They are old rooms. The wallpaper was peeling, shower took a while to get warm, appearance of water damage. But I will say the room was clean, bed comfortable, and it met the needs I had. The staff was very nice too.

Staff was friendly. The lobby is ice cold, the elevator is ice cold, the hallway is ice cold. We went to our first room, this was a poolside view with a balcony. It was too cold in the poolroom so we didn’t stay out long. We put the heat on high for about 2 hours and the room was still ice cold. We were going to take a hot shower however the room water was only lukewarm. We called the desk and they moved us to a different room. The heat and hot water worked great in this room. We went in, we’re going to sit on the couch however there were crumbs all over the couch. Then when we went to take a shower there was hair and dirt in it, the water drains slowly so then it was going to be all around our feet. They don’t do house keeping while you are there which sucks but is deal able. We were going to go down for breakfast one day but apparently, you can’t eat in the restaurant for breakfast and lunch, it’s only take out. We did go for dinner which was cold on our last night. My friend got the fish n chips, she immediately threw it up before we even left and needed up with diarrhea overnight and the next day. I got the chicken quesadilla, it was bland and very greasy. I wouldn’t recommend here for anyone. The staff is friendly though.

This hotel is past it's prime and falling apart. The rooms and hallways are musty and moldy. There was hair on the pillows and in the shower. Only one outlet worked in the whole room and nothing has been updated in decades. We were there for a weekend long event at the hotel, otherwise I would have left minutes after checking in.

I’ve been staying here on and off for almost 30 years. The atrium is incredible and I’m sure kids love the pool and weddings are great. The rooms are dated. I had one outlet in a lamp base that was convenient. Others were behind furniture or the one in the bathroom. Having devices to charge and a CPAP to plug in, it was challenging. The restaurant has been great in the past. This time no beer on tap at all. Tables were dirty, and service was poor. Really disappointed.

The staff at the property was fantastic, attentive, friendly, professional. This includes the front desk, housekeeping and bar/restaurant. The rooms were a bit \"banged up\" mainly walls and areas in bathroom around sick and bath tub. Unfortunately it smelled like marijuana all through the 2nd floor during my stay, uggh! I found the temperature around the pool and common areas as very cold, quite uncomfortable.
