The resort is located on the southwest coastline of Koh Kood Island between Klong Yai Kee stream and the beach, and features areas by the sea, bar, clubhouse, swimming pool and the viewpoint with a view of Koh Rad. Driving east from Bangkok will take about 5 hours.
Guests can explore this natural environment with plenty of amazing outdoor activities at this amazing club resort. It features 31 boutique style rooms and well equipped facilities to ensure a wonderful holiday stay.
The accommodation is located in 2 different zones by the stream and by the cliff. The resort has a lobby, a bar, a restaurant, shops, a garden, and there is a car park for those arriving by car.
The accommodation units are built from wood materials with a simple yet uniquely stylish design. The accommodations by the stream are deluxe rooms with private balconies featuring wonderful views, while the accommodations by the cliff are Pool Suite Villas and Mini Pool Villas decorated in a boutique style and fully equipped with a wide range of facilities including hot tubs.
All rooms are en suite and feature a shower, a double bed, satellite/cable TV, individually regulated air conditioning and a balcony or terrace. There are many recreation choices for guests to choose from both on land and on water.
On land activities include an outdoor swimming pool with children's swimming area, traditional massages, from facial massages to foot massages and aromatherapy. For water-based activities guests can enjoy waterskiing, snorkelling, scuba diving, night fishing, windsurfing and banana boating, all for an additional fee.
The beach is sandy and rocky. Guests can experience traditional islander style food at the resort's restaurant, serving a delicious breakfast each morning, afternoon tea and set menu lunches and dinners.
Located in Ko Kood, Captain Hook Resort is on the riverwalk, within a 5-minute drive of Klong Hin Beach and Ao Tapao Beach. This spa hotel is 0.1 mi (0.1 km) from Klong Prao Beach and 0.1 mi (0.1 km) from Takhian Beach.

Rooms are not well furnished and very overpriced compared to other hotels in the area. We moved down the road to another beach front hotel which was half the price and offered an amazing free breakfast as well as new beach equipment. I would not recommend this hotel.

Secluded Oasis: A Tranquil Escape at Captain Hook
We recently had an excellent stay at Captain Hook Resort. Nestled in a secluded spot away from other hotels, it offers a peaceful, green, and idyllic atmosphere perfect for relaxation. Whether you're into kayaking, snorkelling, or simply enjoying the usual beach activities, this hotel provides the ideal setting. The staff is incredibly attentive, and the management is always on hand to ensure guests are well taken care of. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and highly recommended!

So here is the deal with Capitan Hook, it is at one the best locations maybe in all of Thailand and the staff are excellent and the property is well managed. This is not a 4 star resort or anything however it is a great experience overall.
That being said this is one major issue with this place which I wish they addressed. The food is horrific, maybe the worst food I have eaten in all of Thailand. The breakfast is horrible if you like western food. The over all menu selection is good but the food quality all around is extremely bad. Really a same it is such an issue because I do love everything else but you are isolated at this resort so having good quality food is very important.
This hotel also runs other hotels in Koh kood but those hotels have much better food so I am not sure why they can’t maintain the same standard at Captain Hook.

I spent 8 days at this resort and had the time of my life. It is a little off of the beaten path, but I really enjoyed the remote location. The staff members were more than welcoming and helpful. They had a whole list of activities to enjoy during the stay including kayaking, fishing, snorkeling, motorbiking, a fire show, and much more. The restaurant offered a tone of delicious options as well.

Peaceful paradise
An absolutely gorgeous paradise. The journey there requiring a little boat to the resort made it feel like being in the wilderness and yet there was so much comfort and the snorkelling and kayaking and swimming meant we didn’t need to leave the resort. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a peaceful and beautiful experience. It is not for wild party animals!

Captain Hook is amazing and located in one of the prettiest spots on the island. It’s surrounded by nature and can only be reached by boat. We’ll never forget the sunsets from our mini villa, as well as the staff, who were incredibly nice and helpful!

The resort was beautiful. We took the ferry using Bonsiri to Koh Kood. From there we were picked up by a truck taxi that brought us to another small dock where we then boarded a smaller boat for a 5 minute boat ride to the resort. We were greeted by staff with a welcome drink and shown around the resort while our bags were brought to our room. We had a rented a mini pool room it was beautiful with an amazing view of the Gulf of Thailand. Our bathroom was outside but it was closed off and private. They do have rooms with bathrooms inside. There was a fire show put on by the resort staff a couple of nights while we were there. They offered free kayak rentals (We kayaked to a beach that was close by it was like our own secluded island, only a few others there) and brought us to an area close by to snorkel. They also arrange trips to a nearby waterfall for the guests, again no charge. Staff was super friendly, smiling and always willing to help with anything we needed. Massages at the resort in a little hut looking out onto the water, so relaxing! The food was awesome, it made it hard when we left to find food that we felt compared because there are so many options. They had motorbikes we could rent for 24hr, we went to see the 500 yr old tree, and 2 other waterfalls that we hadn’t seen and we also swam in the waterfalls! In all the resort was amazing and from others we passed on our motorbikes is one of the best! There’s also a bar at the resort with a great mixologist!!

Quite beautiful place to stay in Thailand more locals than tourists with stunning location staff are fantastic food was incredible even a western menu for the not so adventurous and kids with plenty to do and see fire show is well worth seeing stunning views staff are happy to arrange activities transport for your needs three scuba companies on the island I picked paradise divers and had a great first time dive over all of you want to get away from the crowds and enjoy an amazing experience at a good price I think you’ll struggle to match they also have three other resorts on the island

Wer zuviel Stress hat, muß hier hin. Sehr freundliche Menschen. Ein herrliches Gefühl das für dich gesorgt wird. Zimmer schön, nicht alzu modern aber ruhig und wir hatten einen eigenen Pool. Essen Abeds sehr gut. Frühstück halt Thailändische aber gut!

Ich empfehle dort mal die Abwasser Rohre für die Bäder zu checken. Das Bad hat sehr schlecht gerochen ( eher schon gestunken) . Da in den Rohren das Abwasser steht und die Bäder keine Fenster haben. Wenn das Problem nicht wäre. Wäre das Top.
Auch sehr super war das man das Kajak nutzen kann.
Nice to know. Wer zum frühstück einen richtigen Kaffee/Cappuccino möchte, zahlt den extra. Das ist nicht Inclusive (was eigentlich normal ist)

An sich sehr schöne Anlage, aber leider teilweise ganz schön runter gekommen. Meines Erachtens nach ist der Preis nicht gerechtfertigt. Wir zahlen für ein gehobenes Hotel und schlafen auf Backpacker Niveau. Das passt nicht. Gott sei Dank nur 2 Nächte, ansonsten wären wir von den Bettwanzen aufgefressen

Très déçu par l état général de ce resort l’emplacement, la situation sont sublimes, mais ça,c est le don de la nature
Certaines chambres ont le matelas direct sur un plan en bois surélevé, petit meuble ridicule pour la bouilloire, pas de frigo!
Les salles de bain sont défraîchies, pomme douche rouillée, la douche près delà piscine dans un état déplorable
Autour de la piscine, pas de vrai entretien des espaces verts, enfin l ensemble aurait besoin d’une grosse rénovation, surtout à ce prix pour les non/thailandais; environ 200€/ nuit selon chambre!. clientèle majoritairement asiatique, ce qui ne me gène absolument pas, ils payent un prix inférieur pour un package de 2 ou 3 nuits qui les occupe beaucoup, ils semblent apprécier .le petit déjeuner principalement asiatique, sinon, tartines pain de mie confiture, oeufs à la demande, petit es gaufres parfois,fruits! Café lyophilisé, a ce prix c est indécent
