Our room was spacious and opened up onto the large swimming pool. The staff were fantastic — nothing was too much trouble. We used the hotel’s shuttle to go into and out of Hoi An. Very convenient.

Unfortunate weather but great unexpected holiday

The weather was warm but it rained on and off the entire trip which was disappointing- No fault of the hotel obviously. The hotel was clean, well maintained however the toilet had a continuous flush unless you flicked the leaver a certain way. All facilities at the hotel were well kept and the staff were just so friendly and caring. Would def stay again if we returned.

Loved the huge pool and gardens, but could do with a few more trees for shade. Very nice, large clean bedeoom with nice sheets. Breakfast buffet is decent. Staff are nice and helpful. The area around the hotel has very limited dining options, so most people us one of the shuttle buses to go into Hoi An old town, which only takes about ten minutes and is also a very cheap taxi back. Would recommend as long as you aren't expecting to be in the busy area

The room was lovely and clean as was the hotel. We used the gym but found the electronic machines were not maintained and very noisy and clunky. Reception and breakfast staff were extremely friendly. The bar staff around the pool were very disinterested and felt they should have moved around the pool and been much more proactive. Seems the hotel is missing out on business. We decided to support the locals next door who were far friendlier.

The staff were fantastic, the little restaurants around the property were very friendly and good local food very good prices. We even used the laundry service next door they did a nice job.
If you stay in the new building there is a field behind it with some noisy roosters and some sports going on. They were kind and moved us fortunately they had another room available. Nice beach, good breakfast buffet and free shuttle into Hoi An. Hubby forgot his swim trunks and the hotel sent them to us in Da Nang which was very good service 👌

This was a beautiful resort, very quiet, great pool. The staff were lovely and very helpful. I would definitely stay here again. The shuttle service to Hoi An was great and taxis were cheap too if needed. Laundry service same day at the stall next door was great and so cheap.

The staff at this hotel are amazing! They are really helpful in recommending places to go and see as well as what the local food is etc. I cannot rate them highly enough!! The hotel is lovely particularly for the price and the beach area is fabulous.
There are elements of the hotel that could do with an update but nothing that would stop me staying here again. It’s in a great location for the beach and there’s a free transfer service to and from the old town a few times a day

The resort grounds were quiet, enjoyable and well-kept. However, the service of the staff there were not in line with the style and type of resort - they were inattentive and did not care for their guests or their stay. My partner and I were waiting in the lobby (no air-con, open-air, in 35 degree heat) for around 1.5 hours after checking out, and the staff did not offer us any cold beverages (complimentary or via the bar) - which was very disappointing. Overall, the hospitality was lacking.

The breakfast buffet was the usual fare - mostly Western food with 2-3 Vietnamese offerings. Note that paper napkins were used, instead of linen, and that there are no a la carte options. We were never approached by the staff about our breakfast or day ahead.

The pool was great, with a nice view and temperature. The pool furniture was stained and tired. We were never approached with any offers of a beverage or food pool-side.

The finishing of the rooms and structures were also in a state of disrepair - our balcony door was rusty and required repairs during our stay, the shower was leaking and had mould, and the entertainment unit was so rusted it had a nail sticking out. The furniture is otherwise aged, and the amenities provided were placed in plastic containers/bottles with sticky labels. The bed itself was comfortable and clean.

Overall, the grounds were lovely - it is a shame that management does not prioritise the improvement of service/room renovations to match it.

Colonial Style Hotel in Hio An

The hotel is located on the beach about 15 minutes ride from Hoi An, the grounds are well attended and the pool is huge. The first room we were given was smaller than expected and faced a vacant lot, so we paid to get an upgrade, however the room showed wear and tear around the edges and smelled musty. The hotel provides a shuttle service to Hoi An town, but the schedule is not always convenient, luckily metered taxis are cheap and plentiful. The Vietnamese food in the hotel restaurant was not bad. Unfortunately, we were there during a heatwave which affected our overall stay.

All the staff are truly amazing and will do anything to make your holiday more enjoyable.

Make sure you visit the restaurant across the road (Co' Hong) for some home cooked food as well.

This was tranquil, luxurious, in an utterly beautiful location by the sea. Spa was wonderful. The resort was quiet in December and we felt we had visited a unique retreat. Bus service to Hoi An gave us access to the hustle and bustle of a busy, tourist little town, which was exciting but it was great to get back to the peace of the resort waking up to the sound of the sea. Staff were lovely and the food was amazing. I would love to return sometime.

Great hotel right on the beach. Very quiet location, but they offer a free shuttle bus into Hoi An old town........for the markets and to see it by night........well worth seeing.
We didn't find the food and drink too expensive, but thye dinner menu could perhaps be a bit more varied.
Breakfast was plentiful and sufficient choice of dishes.
The pool was fantastic and very relaxing, with plenty of tables and loungers around it. The pool bar and beach bar were both excellent for snacks and drinks.
We would return to this hotel again if travelling to Hoi An.

Loved staying at the Boutique Hoi An resort.This was our second time to stay and it didn't disappoint.Its building has a lovely colonial apperance and it has a beautiful pool and garden.It is also straight on the beach.Breakfast is good too and rooms were great.Real comfy bed.The hotel is about 5k from the town and the hotel operates a shuttle bus service which is real handy There are a few resturants within walking distance also from the hotel.

Everything about the Boutique Hoi An Resort was fantastic. While it is a resort, it's smaller and more intimate, and therefore doesn't feel massive and cold like many resorts do. The private beach was absolutely beautiful, with very comfortable lounge chairs and umbrellas set up for guests to use. The pool area was also beautiful, although I have to admit I spent most of my time at the beach. The beach bar was one of my favorite spots to relax and have a drink in a stunning beachfront setting and the breakfast buffet was great. The room we had was also fantastic - large, lots of light, very clean, and just super comfortable and calming to be in. The staff was so friendly and accommodating, and we felt totally taken care of the entire time, and the free shuttle into old town was a great perk that the hotel offers. I can't recommend this property enough, it was one of my favorite hotels that I've stayed in and will 100% stay again when I'm back in Hoi An.

My second visit to my favourite hotel in Hoi An

I accidentally came across this hotel over a year ago and was pleasantly surprised. During my third visit to vietnam i looked forward to staying here more than any other hotel. Friendly staff. Nice room. Lovely pool, quiet beech, nice cocktails, affordable and good massage (recommend Vietnamese) and the breakfast is very good.

This place is stunning. You are right next to the beach and have access to a large pool and gym. I recommend getting one of the suits then you get view of the grounds when you wake up which is beautiful. The rooms are spacious with everything you could need. The resort it’s self is a 20 min drive from Hoi An town. But with the free shuttle bus or Grab (Uber for Asia) you can get into town when ever for about $4, 2 if you dare to take a bike. We found it nice to be out of the town it’s self as it can be incredibly busy and noisy, great for a few hours but not 24/7.

This hotel is good value for what you get, right on the beach, great pool, nice spa, small gym. However although there is a lift it does not cater for all floors. If your room is on the ground then you can get to the restaurant ok but have to climb stairs to the lobby, if you are on the lobby upwards you have to climb stairs to get to the restaurant, this wasn't much good for my mother, whom having had foot surgery recently found it very difficult, given a lot of older people stay here consideration should be given to ensure that there is a lift that reaches all floors. I also wasn't very impressed that due to the noise of a family group I was required to move rooms to a lesser quality block which had no view and was not as good as the room I was moved from.

The check in was excellent, the room was great and the position of the hotel was ideal. The shuttle bus is perfect because it means that you get the benefit of staying on a beach but seeing as much as you like of the town. With the exception of one barman, the staff were excellent but he did bring our rating down because he was rude to my husband and also because I found it off putting that he picked his nose and ate its contents in front of me and then delivered my cutlery. Personal habits are different in Vietnam but anyone in any country should be aware that something like that is unacceptable.

Lovely hotel with superb pool and easy access to the beach. Just make sure that if you use the on-site dress-making service you go in there with a clear idea of what you want, what type of fabric and the colour(s). We found that the on-site dress-making service was not proactive in recommending designs and styles and that it was all very much down to you. They appeared to offer limited feedback of what they thought would be nice, complimentary and what would work best in terms of colour(s) and fabrics.

Beware of which room you get

We booked a Deluxe Room for 4 nights. We were given Room 118 - this was a lovely room but the outlook was of an ugly old fence, a vacant lot and a huge radio tower. I nearly cried. We immediately asked for a change of room but were unable to get one until the 3rd night when we downgraded to a Superior Room (with no refund of difference in $) to get a room that had a balcony and an outlook of the resort. Beware of booking Deluxe Rooms from 114 to 118, 214 to 218 and 314-318 - the whole block has this ugly, bleak outlook and to top it off the vacant lot roosters start crowing at 4 every morning.
The resort itself is lovely - great pool and beach area.

Gorgeous hotel on beach

Our family of five loved this hotel. Our only regret is that we stayed 2 nights in the old town first not realising how close the Boutique Hotel. It has regular shuttles to and from the old town. Highly recommend - it’s a lovely size and not too big. And although we arrived early we could use the pool until our room was ready which was wonderful. The staff are wonderful and a credit to the hotel.

a nice choice about 6km outside of HoiAn on An Bang beach. With the frequent shuttles into town, this was a nice choice for a beach holiday, as well as easy access to the historic town, bars, restaurants and the great tailors of Hoi An.
The hotel itself is well set out, and the staff are super efficient and friendly. The rooms were nice and clean. some things not quite right - eg couldnt shut our balcony door easily, and shower leaked water all over the floor, but definitiely an 8/10. The pool is fantastic, and beach is right there. Also nice and cheap bars and restaurants just a short 5 - 10 min walk up the beach

The hotel looks beautiful, it is build in colonial style. Service is great, pool is nice and its close to Hoi An.
It does need an upgrade throughout, from the roomkeys, to gym equipment to the rooms itself. This must have been incredible some years ago, but now it all just looks a bit outdated, still a nice resort though.

The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful . The hotel lobby is very beautiful and over look at the pool and garden and near the beach . I booked for deluxe room and I got upgraded my room over look at the pool . The room was very spacious . The only thing I was disappointed the room has no bathtub .
Othewise it was a such relaxing time to stay in the hotel . I would recommended friend to stay .

The staff are friendly and helpful. The choice at breakfast caters for all tastes. We enjoyed sitting by the pool drinking cocktails and having light meals.
The hotel is right on the beach, which is well kept, even though the beach either side of the hotel was littered.
The hotel spa was amazing! well trained staff and first class service.

Beautiful retreat away from it all!

The hotel is beautifully maintained and grounds are gorgeous.
Staff are excellent and so well presented however, very little English is spoken by any of them.
Rooms are very clean and serviced fold out bed was very, very hard for our daughter though.
My only critisism is that it lacks atmosphere. It is always extremely quiet and they offer no activities for guests.
The resort has also lost a lot of beach frontage over the last two years as well but at least they still have a beach unlike many of the other hotels that say the same!!
If you want a quiet retreat away from it all then look no further.
An idea for the resort could be to offer guests use of bicycles!!!!!!

Absolutely stunning!!

Boutique Hotel Hoi An has got comfort and luxury down. The location is right on a beautiful beach and the architecture of the hotel is incredible. The staff are the kindest, most generous people that offer guests just the perfect amount of attention. The breakfast buffet far exceeded our expectations as they had tons of options for everyone. We were able to find plenty of options as we eat a plant-based diet. The property overall is one of the most beautiful places I've seen.

We've been to Hoi An twice now and I highly recommended to staying on the beach out by this hotel. They have a shuttle to take you to the ancient town if you'd like, but it's nice to be away from the hustle and in your own little cave of luxury. We will definitely be back!

Charming hotel by the beach

This is my third time staying at this hotel and I have to say that I'm very satisfied with
the food, the service and the cleanliness of the room. The only negative thing was the
dining room temperature which was very warm with no air circulation during breakfast
time.

Far from center, like 30 minute car ride to Hoi An Ancient Town. They do provide free shuttles though. Nice hotel. Spacious rooms that have a French flare to the design. Western breakfast food selection is good, but the quality of the Asian food is just mediocre. I ordered a bowl of pho and the broth was like warm and noodles were stiff. Overall I’d recommend this hotel.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 4 days and enjoyed our stay. The shuttle bus to the old city was very handy and taxi fare were also cheap enough if the bus timetable didn't suite. The little convenience shop out the front of the hotel was great also, the lady was very friendly and did our washing for a couple of dollars. I got a massage here as well and it was the best $10 massage I have ever had. The room was nice and we had a balcony that looked over the pool. The food was good and the service was great.

Nice hotel for the price

The hotel staff was pleasant and attentive, and the hotel was in a good location to Hoi An while still maintaining beach access. The grounds and hotel are well maintained and the room was well-appointed and comfortable. The hotel also offered a regular shuttle service to and from Hoi An, which was extremely convenient. There were the typical amenities of most higher end hotels, including an extensive buffet breakfast, wifi, bath robes, etc. My only criticism was that it was a little noisy outside of the room, with the cleaning staff and other guests moving about. But for the price point and overall experience, I highly recommend this hotel.

Gorgeous hotel set right on the beach. Beautiful.

We arrived feeling a bit under the weather after a bout of food poisoning from the previous day. The staff went above and beyond to make our check-in as quick as possible and checked on us over the next few days to ensure we were feeling better and had everything we needed. We will be back.

14 days in Hoi An

This was our 4th visit to Hoi An but our first stay at the Boutique. We picked it for the beach and on that front we were not at all disappointed. The Boutique occupies the best stretch of sand and sea. We had previously stayed at the Victoria and Hoi An Beach hotels in Cua Dai. The area there is a mess at the moment as the attempt to save the beach! We only used the pool twice, at night. By day the pool is understandably very busy. The sea was lovely and warm and the beach nice and clean with plenty of comfortable sun beds and umbrellas. We were a little disappointed with our room (room 318) as we like to sit on the balcony in the evening and our view was of a red and white communication tower! We could also hear the constant humming of the generator. The maids were very accommodating but started their rounds early and we were woken at times by them shifting furniture and talking. Breakfast was a little repetitive and we would have liked more local options. Passion fruit only made one appearance at breakfast!! At times we had to wait for a table. The air conditioning in the breakfast room and other communal areas needs to be better. Victoria v Boutique? If beach is priority then Boutique wins but if it is quality of accommodation and service, the Victoria is the winner!
