Great staff. Our second time staying at the property. Had a problem and the front desk clerk moved us to another room. Revelers behind the hotel were playing loud music ( celebrating )! Not the hotel’s fault but it was nice that the desk clerk helped us.

Staff was really good. Breakfast could use more varieties. Their fresh juice is delicious! Short walk to the beach. Free bicycle to roam around. About 10-15 mins drive into Hoi An old town. They have regular white towels for pool/beach use. They could update that with actual pool/beach towels.

Nice room. Comfortable and soft bed. Excellent staff that were welcoming and attentive. Breakfast buffet was very good. Clean swimming pool and free loan of bicycles was great.
There’s construction across the road . No noise but they’re building the hotels beach clubhouse , so no direct beach at this time. 5 minute walk just down the street and you’re at the public beach.
Several restaurants close by. Many offer fresh seafood and Vietnamese cuisine. 15 min. GRAB ride to old town. About 30,000 dong.

The hotel itself was fine but with the swimming pool so close to the building all the noise travelled straight up and into the accommodation areas. Too noisy.
The beach access was below average. Had to step through a construction site to access the beach. Not good.

Nice little beach hotel. Not a lot to do in the area but it’s relaxing. Had a good stay for the most part and extended our stay for an additional 4 nights but had a few issues during our stay:
1- air conditioning was weak , it got cool but never cold even on the lowest setting and having them come check on it 2 times they never fixed it.
2- walls are thin and hallways echo with noisy staff or guests. For the most part, we had a pretty quiet trip minus housekeeping, being loud in the mornings, talking to each other at a higher volume than necessary and our last night a large Chinese group checking in and waking up at 5 AM and being extremely loud yelling at each other from 5 AM to 9 AM so could not sleep.
3- be careful as they have glass bottles for shower gel and shampoo with a very small shelf in the shower area I got charged 200,000 dong because of their poor design. The bottles fell off the small shelf and broke in the shower and almost cut my girlfriend’s feet. Management should re-look at the design of shower and shampoo dispensers in the shower to protect their guest. Otherwise they could have a lawsuit from an injury.
4- The maintenance crew on one morning decided to start hammer drilling into the foundation right outside our door at 8:30 AM. I was not happy by any means to be woken up that way after sternly talking to them that we were sleeping they stopped.
Besides those issues, it was a comfortable stay and relaxing time the front desk staff were very friendly.

This hotel is amazing the staff are so friendly and helpful what ever the request. Location is perfect beach across the road with own private area and Hoi An town easy to get to with shuttle provide by hotel or taxi.
We stayed in this hotel prior to Covid and would return if we ever go back to Hoi An.

Good location and restaurant and waiters were good. Also, Kevin at Front Desk was really nice and professional. But other front desk services were pretty lacking given the price of room. Sent several emails and Facebook messenger questions but these
were never responded to. Asked for help on several items but was not given any help. Even asking for something sent to the room was refused. Understand COVID has caused some difficult circumstances, but they were busy that weekend but front desk staff seemed to be missing. For price we paid, service was not worth it.

Our stay was very enjoyable and the staff were very accomodating to our needs.

The free shuttle bus to the main beach and Hoi An town was a real bonus as was the free bike hire.

Excellent stay, but no usable beach nearby.

The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The shuttle time the beach and to town was very convenient. It was not, however, beachfront as the beach was destroyed and non-existent. My children wanted to play at the beach everyday and although the shuttle could take us to a nearby beach, it’s not the same as beachfront.

For our needs, with small children, the hotel didn't quite make the cut. I didn't realize it when I booked, or perhaps I made an error in booking. We ended up leaving after the first night. The staff were extremely lovely, kind, accommodating!!

Good value for money, but no beach

The hotel rooms were nice and clean. Breakfast was surprisingly good for the price.

The pictures of the hotel are deceiving as it is not at the beach and the restaurant opposite the road is nowadays neither. The beach is deteriorating and they put huge sandbags to make sure the land is not reclaimed by the sea. You need to cycle 2.5km to the beach...

The staff are really great. We had to upgrade our room because the photos of what we booked on the website showed a smaller space than what i imagined, but the staff gave a discount on the upgrade. Buffet breakfast was amazing - so many asian and western options! The pool was very refreshing - kids loved this part the best. Too bad we didn't have great weather so we didn't explore the shuttle bus to beach option. The closest beach is under going renovation due to the previous storms damaging the area. Shuttle bus into the old town is great, and taxi costs if you want to return on your own schedule is not that expensive if you want more flexibility. I liked that this area of town was quieter than being in the old quarter hub.

We stayed 6 nights at the hotel. Overall it was very nice. The welcome area, breakfast room and hotel room were all very clean and in good shape. The bed was a little soft for us, but that is just our personal opinion. The balcony off the room was also nice to be able to sit on. The pool is small but pretty and there are plenty of lounge chairs. Breakfast was good and there were lots of options. The hotel has a free shuttle and bikes to get in to town, which was very convenient. The staff spoke very good English and were super friendly and helpful! Yuri and Puca were especially good with giving us information about tours, restaurants, and even checked on my boyfriend when he wasn’t feeling well. The only thing of mention would be the beach. The description of the hotel says it has a private beach. It does but it is about 2km up the street. You have to ride a bike or take the shuttle to it. It was not a problem and its very easy to get to but we were under the assumption that it was right across the street. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay and would stay again in the future!

The staff at Ally Beach Hotel are outstanding! They are warm, kind and helpful. We stayed for a week and felt like part of the family.
Nothing was too much trouble. The staff went out of their way to help us and were genuinely pleased to see us each day. It was sad to say goodbye.

Although this hotel is near the beach, the beach isn’t the nicest. They do provide a shuttle bus but the times are limited, if it starts raining you’re stuck and have to find a taxi.the rooms are very basic and not the cleanest. The pool area is not very nice either. There is a venue across the road that plays extremely loud music, it doesn’t go on particularly late, 10.30 at the latest. However, as we were travelling with children they couldn’t always get to sleep when they wanted. The reception staff are great and really helpful. The breakfast was very hit and miss. Overall, Ally Beach is disappointing. We would not stop again and wouldn’t recommend.

The bus shuttle service to beach and town was a great help. We didn’t use the free available bikes but that’s also a great service.
The hotel surrounding area is dirty and dusty. The private beach of the hotel is destroyed and closed. So had to shuttle to a nearby beach. I didn’t see any mention of this anywhere About the hotel.
The Ally Beach Resturant is also closed, but when I asked about it from one of the receptionist, he was trying to hide the fact that it’s closed, and he was insisting that it closed for the day, only 10 min earlier than when I asked. I found that very rude and humiliating! Because it was obvious that no one was there for a long time! There were no lights and none of fridges were working.

Nice but inexperienced staff, room was small but okay for two nights stay, not directly on beach but free shuttle available to beach and town, nice outdoor pool but full of loud kids. Breakfast food was disappointing, appears to have large selection but quality was very low, ie. limp sauté napa cabbage, yellow “fried rice” with specs of vegetables, dark brown tasteless coffee. Would recommend hotel to consider upgrading food, maybe fewer but higher quality.

Disappointed with the beach

The hotel is very well appointed, but with the beach being destroyed last January by the storm. You have to take the shuttle bus to go to the \"private beach\". Just three or four shuttles a day to go to the beach or you have to take a cab. (About 10 MN drive). I thought I could use the beach as much as I wanted but to drive there make this hotel location pointless. I don't like the fact to organize my stay around the shuttle to the beach or to the city. Also my sea view was over many trees, gabages and 20% see view...

We were very disappointed with the location of this hotel. When traveling to Hoi An it would be best to stay near the Ancient Town as the beach that Alley is/was on was hit by a storm years ago apparently leaving there not much to been seen in their beach area. There are huge sandbags laying out on the coast. The view is still decent however the Alley restaurant/ club along the water is not set up for patrons. They have chairs and a few beds to lay on but the beds are all dirty, the condition of the furniture does not allow for you to relax. They serve food and drink there but we went twice and both times only one other couple was there and again, due to the messy conditions it was not relaxing to stay. They have a shuttle to a ‘private beach’ which we did not do because of the few shuttle times offered daily and it was not convenient for us. Although they had a nice breakfast spread I wasn’t confident that everything was very clean and sanitary so I wouldn’t rate it well. The vegetables looked a little dirty and in general mugs slightly dirty. The fried rice was like mush. Omelet was made okay one day and raw in the middle another day. Lastly, my husband woke up with some bites around his ankle. Not sure what kind of bites but it left a bad feeling. We ended up checking out a day early and going to another hotel. If you don’t care about the location it would be a decent place to stay for the price but we would choose a different place next time.

We ended up not staying here after viewing the grounds and room. We had booked a room with balcony, but the view was really more of trash across the road and only glimpses of the sea. We were under the mistaken impression (our fault) that this place was on the beach. The bathroom and room were a bit old for us. The service was lovely, though! They were so kind even though we told them we would find elsewhere to stay (now in La Siesta and in heaven!), so no fault there.

The staff were excellent. They were very helpful and friendly. In particular, I would like to mention Lynn and Yuri at the front desk and Daisy and Lotus at the spa services. These 4 ladies were very kind and took the time to give us the extra special attention and hospitality.

I was disappointed that the shuttles to the beach ended at 1:45, leaving guests to fend for themselves on the way back. Some mention of this on the hotel website would be very beneficial.

A little ways from the center Hoi An, the Ally made experiencing everything the area has to offer as easy as possible! Free, frequent shuttles to a central location, an amazing free guided bike tour, and accommodating staff helped us really enjoy our time. Would be an even better stay during the summer to enjoy the beach a short walk away! An easy to schedule shuttle to/from the airport in Da Nang was also very helpful.

Ruby at the front desk was a great help, spoke very good English, and An and Wing in the restaurant were very friendly and helpful.
There was some issues with food consistency though (often bland or too salty, overcooked bacon, then new batch came out awhile later undercooked).
A little more attention to detail and consistency would go a long long way, and make a big difference.

Water temp consistency in our shower kept going up and down, sometimes worse than others, and you would have to keep adjusting it back and forth.

Hotel photos show and talk about a beautiful private beach, but unfortunately it was destroyed in a bad storm a year or more ago, but they never updated it online, and don't say anything when you check in. The beach restaurant we never tried, and is unfortunately nowhere near newer like the hotel, and not somewhere we wanted to try after viewing it.
One good thing they do offer is a free shuttle to another beautiful beach 2.5 km away (An Bang Beach) which I would recommend checking out.
Free shuttle also goes downtown nightly which was nice as we wanted to go check out the lantern festival. There is also tons and tons of shops to get custom clothing made in town, and different restaurants and little bars, and venders to check out.
We spent three days here.

Hotel is not every big and rooms were quite plain Jane. One recommendation is to upgrade the TV's and to have HD channels.

Beach is actually not connected to the hotel so you'll have to take a 2-3 minute walk to get to the beach. Unfortunately we arrived while there was a storm so did not even get to enjoy the beach at all.

Breakfast was decent and staff would help get what you need if not already available.

Hotel is about 5km away from Old Town. Bikes are available from the hotel free of charge and we rode in one day. Trip was fairly easy as it's pretty much flat road. Would definitely recommend doing this to explore the town.

Overall a good trip and great stay at this hotel. Would definitely come back!

Nice stay at Alley Beach Hotel

Ally Beach Boutique was a perfect stay for me and my boyfriend. The bed is super comfortable and we booked the room with a balcony. There is a shuttle that runs to old town, but not very frequently. We rented a motorbike for the weekend and rode down to the big beach (which was awesome) and then in to town. Would definitely stay here again.

Ally Beach Hotel is located right across the road from the beach. We were there in early November, off season, so not much swimming was done in the ocean. There's also an erosion problem, on the beach, so there's a wall of huge sandbags. The hotel staff was very accommodating to our needs and even provided me with a birthday cake, on my special day. The hotel led a free two hour bike tour. The bikes were in great shape and could be checked out at any time for a ride. The hotel did provide a free shuttle to ancient town, Hoi An. I would consider staying at this hotel again, especially if I was there during peak season.

Very pleasant stay at the 'Ally Beach', the hotel was beyond clean and the staff excellent. There are a few decent restaurants nearby, notably 'The Old Man' which is next door and family run serving superb food and 200 metres in the opposite direction, 'Chine'
In our view, the downsides were the location, it was quite a way from town, subsequently very little to do in the evenings, and the beach was very narrow due to sand-bags which looked like giant sausages which ran along the entire stretch of beach to stop the sea washing it away.
The pool area at the hotel is very restricted and the place cries out for a decent bar where guests can socialise.

Great location, great view, great staff

We enjoyed our stay at the Ally Beach resort. The hotel is located across the road from the beach, and their beach side restaurant is across the road and a little way down.

The staff were friendly, professional and helpful and the hotel offered complimentary tours, shuttle bus to town, and bicycles.

Our room was spacious, modern and clean, with a lovely view of the ocean from the balcony. Although the bed had two single mattresses pushed together under a mattress protector, we didn't find this to be a major problem. WiFi in the room and around the resort was good.

The private beach wasn't particularly large or clean, however there are some lovely stretches of beach just a short walk away.

We found that the food served at the breakfasts and at the restaurant was nothing particularly special, although still up to standard.

Overall, our experience at the hotel was very good and we would consider returning.

Friendly and relaxing place to stay

Ally Beach Resort is located on Cua Dai beach. The hotel is clean with good rooms, a restaurant and poolside bar. The pool is small but refreshing.
This hotel is not large so you get good personal service.
A short walk across the road they also have a beach side restaurant and a private beach.
They offer free shuttle service to Hoian or borrow a bicycle to ride into town or see the local area.
Staff are friendly and very helpful.

Great hotel with private beach!

We absolutely loved our stay at Ally Beach! Staff were great at the hotel and the room was clean and tidy (modern with an AU power outlet!). Private beach area was the perfect escape from town. There is a free shuttle bus into town which is a short 15 min drive, otherwise download Grab (similar to Uber) - around $3AU one way.

Only down fall was that the staff at the private beach section weren’t very attentive - we constantly had to walk back to the restaurant to find someone / order drinks.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone who loves the beach and doesn’t mind being a little away from the hussle and bussle of the city!

We already can’t wait to return!!

The staff were fantastic. Beach and beach restaurant was very convenient (3 minute walk). The shuttle to the ancient quarter was easy to catch in but not always there for the return trip. Taxi back to Ally was only 70k vnd. Breakfast Omelettes we're very good however the fruit could have been improved. I really enjoyed my time at Ally.

We enjoyed our stay for three nights. The hotel is not right on the beach, but rather across the street from it. It is a very short walk and the beach is gorgeous, although the private space for the hotel is very small. I would recommend the hotel for a cheap and clean night stay. We loved Hoi'An, but there is not a ton to do in the town itself so staying near the beach was very nice. The hotel does have a shuttle into town but they go back and forth very infrequently so be prepared to take a taxi to and from the hotel. They also offer a free bike tour that I would highly recommend.

Friendly, clean and efficient hotel

Lovely clean and friendly hotel. Staff great; very helpful. Rooms have everything you need and are very comfortable. Breakfast nice too. Pool ok but not much room around it to sit and relax. Beach restaurant is a nice place to have a cocktail but we didn’t eat there. Beach a bit disappointing as strong currents and lots of tiny blue jelly fish on the sand.

Location and Value

There are several luxury hotels nearby but for this money this hotel offers great value for the budget conscious who still wants a great location. Easy walk to the beach and just a bike ride away from nice portions of the beach. If you're not afraid to rent a motor scooter (which you can easily do at the hotel or nearby stores) you can easily ride into town, along the coast or into the country side with ease. The breakfast buffet was good and I paid a little extra for the balcony. They were very helpful with directing me to nearby spots and telling me where to rent a scooter when they ran out. Their beach side bar is quaint but they have nice clean furniture facing the ocean where you can just layout and drink a coconut.

Across the street from the beach, free bicycles, shuttle to old town Hoi An. The room was spotless, the beds comfortable. Very attentive staff who helped arrange transportation and tours. Very pleasant stay. Lots of families with small children while we were there. Don't eat at the Ally Beach Bar but a nice place to relax with a drink.

A good relaxing spot to spot to stay

We loved staying here. The private beach across the road is still very nice despite the sandbags. We swam every day. We made use of the free shuttle into town and there are plenty of bikes to use. A taxi into town is very cheap. We enjoyed the free cycle tour that the hotel provides

Our room was near the poor and breakfast area so each morning we would be woken up by guest either eating or using the poor. Hotel was very close to the beach but would not stay at this hotel again due to noise level.

Great location is the best feature

Location is great! Walk across road to beach. Pool is nice but jets were never working. Area around pool is very slippery. Saw a few people slip over. Need something safe to walk on in this area.
Linen started offf well. Got a towel that was all ripped. This needs to be checked. Room was cleaned only when I asked at service desk, even when I had the clean room sign on the door for hours.
Breakfast was ok. Juice did not taste real. More like cordial. Seafood was not fresh in the dishes. Processed plastic tasting fish balls. Food at beach restaurant was just ok. Chips took half hour to come and were cold.
Television reception lost at times. This may have been an area issue???
Level of English could have been better at service desk. Had difficulty explaining basic requests at times.
Shuttle bus to town was really handy.

Breakfast food not good

The beach is close by. A few minute walk and the private beach is pretty small than the pictures they post. The pool is also very small than the pictures, but it is very clean. The room we stayed in was pretty big because it was the family room and it was clean. Our room faced a construction site so that was inconvenient because there were people working outside which meant even during the day we needed to keep the blinds closed. The main reception area is not air conditioned sometime and the breakfast was not very good, although they do have variety of selections to choose from. Overall, I think the value was fair to the price we paid. They do have a shuttle to Hoi An which was convienent.

Brilliant!!!

Hotel is great. Staff are amazing very welcoming. Son took us on a bicycle tour which was brilliant and also made us feel really welcome at the beach! Jimmy also deserves a shout out! The shuttle bus to Hoi An was always on time and the driver was also great! Would really recommend!

We had a fantastic stay at the Ally Beach. Our room was lovely and the breakfast buffet is varied and very tasty. The staff are keen to go the extra mile to make your stay perfect, especially Ben who was lovely with my 8 yo daughter. The private beach attached to the hotel is across a busy road but once you're there it's very nice indeed. I'd particularly recommend the cocktails, especially during happy hour!

Relaxing visit to Hoi An

Good service, including shuttle bus into town and group bike ride. Great fixed price lunch at the beach restaurant following the bike ride with other guests at the hotel. Massage at the spa was relaxing.

Amazing staff, great hotel

The staff at the hotel did their very best to make our stay comfortable. They greeted us with smiles each time they saw us. The breakfast had a variety of offerings, including an egg station. Just be prepared that pastries just are not as sweet as what we're accustomed to in America.

The only drawback was the beach erosion in the area in front of the hotel. Yes, the beach is steps away from the hotel. However, there's not much white sand beach available even though they've tried to prevent further erosion using massive sand bags. If you're a beach goer, the good news is An Bang beach is less than two miles down the road and easily accessible by taxi or free bike rental.

Ideal for the beach

Nice size boutique hotel with a very cosmopolitan clientele - I heard so many different languages. Had all different age groups there. Very pleased with our room & bathroom which were very clean and spacious. we were there for 9 days and more drawers would have been useful to pack much of our clothing in instead of leaving it in our cases, there were only so many coat hangers in the wardrobe! We enjoyed watching the world go by from our balcony on the 4th floor and yes, there was a lift although we used the stairs for exercise! Great choice of food at breakfast with very helpful staff. The Reception staff were very welcoming and helpful tool

The hotel pool was a bit smaller than I had expected and the garden was also minuscule but with the beach opposite it didn't really matter. There were seats over the road near the beach bar. Although the beach opposite had suffered in the recent typhoon by losing much of its sand, just a short walk up the beach it's wider and still has plenty of sand.

The hotel restaurant was reasonable but many people went into How An to eat, ate in their rooms, or walked to the local restaurants. We did all of these & found one of the beach restaurants over the road, Phuong Thinh to be very good & excellent value.

Very different from our 2nd hotel which was in a local village amongst the rice paddies. A lovely contrast.

Very sad experience, this is a decent hotel but has no management looking after the staff.
No tea, coffee, milk, beach towels and when I asked for the manager, was told she was sleeping!!!, finally met her the day we left which was obviously too late.
The beach section of the hotel is managed by a guy called Shawn and him and his team are the ONLY reasons we stayed the whole 9 nights we booked.
Lots of hotels to choose from but don't be fooled by the images on this one.
Exchange rate is a rip-off, was offering 200,000 dong to HK$, Little hotel, 200 yards away offering 285,000??????
Note to hotel owners - you don't have to treat your customers like this as they just don't come back

Our Stay at the Ally Boutique Hotel, Hoian

Our room was very clean and was made up each day with beds made and fresh towels. Our room had a nice view of the village,, the river and the area beyond. Breakfast was included and the selection was amazing, including milk and cereal, toast, a large variety of baked items, all sorts of fruit, a cooking station where the chef cooked eggs & pancakes to order and juices, coffee and tea.

I found it relaxing to be away from hustle and bus of ancient town beach restaurant and bar a little run down but we went in rainy season so couldn’t use anyway hotel and it’s staff extremely accomodating nothing was a problem

Great location!

Just across the street from the beach and a few km from the ancient town - with either the hotel complementary bikes or renting a bike (Hoi An Motorcyle Rentals is just around the corner and offer the best service - bit hard to find...you have to walk through a clothes shop!!) it’s great to get around Hoi An and Da Nẵng.
Hotel pool is nice, good selection of drinks and food from the restaurant too.
Hotel staff were all incredibly nice and helpful as well. Will stay again.

Been traveling for 6 months and staying in hotels around this price range, this is our absolute favourite hotel so far. Our room had a massive bathroom with bathtubs and a balcony over looking the front of the building. Breakfast had so many options and was all fabulous. The cleaning lady came in twice a day and left a little A4 bedtime story on our pillows. Free bike hire and 400,000 one way airport transfer. Driver even met us with bottled water and refreshing wipes after our flight. Takes around 20-25 minutes to cycle into HoiAn old town. Would certainly visit again.

This is newer hotel across the street from the beach. The furnishings are not luxurious but the service and breakfast were excellent. Plus the free shuttle into Hoi An is a bonus!
