I accidentally booked two nights.

Upon arrival, I explained the situation. Neither the hotel, Wyndham corporate or Expedia were willing to resolve the problem. Each kept passing the buck back and forth.

As a result, I was forced to pay for a night I did not use. One more example of how corporations only see customers as wallets, not human beings.

Wyndham will never get my business again.

We didn't have wifi for the whole stay, nor hot water for showering, and no blankets. The receptionist said they would send a technician to fix wifi and hot water but it wasn't fixed. Then asked for compensation, and they approved $20 back, but then I was charged an extra $20 for my dog fee, when I had already paid for it.

Excellent value for the money. Very clean well appointed room, delicious full breakfast, friendly staff and wonderfully hot clean soak in the hot tub. Several restaurants within close walking distance and convenient location to Bellingham central. I would definitely stay again.

It was not disclosed to me upon checking the construction/remodel and floor cleaning that the hotel was doing (which created noise and disturbances for the stay). Mid stay I was woken by hotel staff and told i’d have to change rooms immediately because they need to do floors (with no remorse, offer of upgrade or apology). I had been completely unpacked because I was staying several days. So I pack up everything, don’t even shower and decide i don’t want to unpack and repack everything for one last night, I was already annoyed.

No only did the property not Expedia give two cares about my comfort and stay, both refused to refund just my very last day. Expedia wouldn’t refund their fee to the property for the last day so the property wouldn’t refund me last day. The hotel staff were mostly rude (even before this problem, upon checking the bot hardly spoke to me and was watching TV with some girl). The expedia agent tried to lie to me about his conversation with the staff (but I was standing right next to her so ai heard the entire thing. Expedia has gone way down hill and no longer supports or protects its customers-and we have so many options, please go use something else. The property is ok but next to freeway-so sound is bad even if they didn’t have remodel going on. Won’t be using wingate or wyndham anymore either.

The room was what you paid for! Bed was comfy, walls and furniture was old. The shower curtain didn’t reach the floor and water got everywhere, and it smelled of old smoke. But the people were so extraordinarily kind and we just needed a space to rest for a few hours.

Stayed here many times over years. The place was starting to show its age but now it seems to be run like a third world country. People who checked in before me came back because they didn’t have have pillow cases. I got to my room and there were no glasses in bathroom for water and no cups by coffe machine. I called and the brought me glasses. Which meant no hot tea on a cold winter night. The next day I got half my stuff in the car and my plastic card keys no longer worked. I went to the main office and no one at the main desk (which is pretty common of late). I waited 30 minutes and the office slowly filled up with other people because everyone had been locked out. Finally a woman said I know where the housekeeping crew is— I Wii get them to let us in. She goes and it turns out the desk clerk is part of the housekeeping crew—a great way to save money in a really third rate motel.

room was adequate. The heater didnt work well. It took a couple of hours to go from 62-65. Staff said to be patient. We honestley don't think it was working. By morning it never reached above 65 and said \"error\". TOOO COLD! We got 2 extra blankets and climbed into bed to get warm. Breakfast had cold eggs!! At check out, I mentioned this and was given \"hed nods\". I double anything will be done.

Asked for a quiet room leading up do my stay. Was notified at checkin that room was on freeway side of hotel but assured room was quiet. Arrived in room to find that freeway noise was noticeable, as well as find a fridge emitting high pitch noise when not actively cooling. Returned to desk told no similar rooms available and if I wanted to “upgrade” for a $50 fee. Poor business practice if the requested change is due to their defective equipment, and if they have any interest at all in returning guests.

New room was perfunctorily clean, however because there were very few easily accessible working outlets, when I went to plug in devices around the perimeter noticed that baseboard areas were pretty gross.

Complimentary breakfast was very limited. Could tell it was set up to intentionally prevent guests from taking anything out. They didn’t even have the single serve cream cheese packets out, just two sad unpackaged sploots on a plate that guests had to share.

Although was staying two nights, the next day my keycard was invalid and would I had to go back to the desk to have that renewed.

Ending on a positive note: the bed was great (and that IS the most important thing at a hotel) and the window had an extra pulldown blackout shade which I haven’t had in other hotels in the area. It was also nice that the building itself had secure key card access.

The bedding was very comfortable and we slept well except for early morning noise from the laundry room across the hall. The TV did not work well the first day and not at all the second day. They politely told us it would be fixed after we left. Overall it was a good place to stay for a night if you want a comfortable sleep. If my produce wasn’t frozen in the fridge, and we could have watched the game I told my partner we would be able to watch if he came with me, would have given it 4 stars.

Room was definitely less than expected. Chose an upgraded room that no matter which direction one would turn, something was broken. Bathroom heating light - one out, 110 outlet on lamp - broken, multiple USB connector was falling off desk, office chair - broken, desk drawer - broken, No plug for people using C PAP, trash cans had trash in them, One only tissue in tissue box, So you can tell that it is NOT a good place to stay. We moved out in 3 days and went to another hotel for remaining stay in town. Reception couldn't help to notice that I immediately took luggage from the car inside only to learn that we were not staying in that building. Handicap access required climbing stairs. Breakfast room is lacking in freshly cooked food. DONE - DONE. Was once used for homeless folks. Now I am done.

They refused to give my money back and refused to comply with hotels.com. The hotel was very poorly cleaned, as shown in the photos. I was given three rooms as well. The first one was occupied, the second had hair on the shower wall (as pictured), and the third had large clumps of dust and what looked like corn chips on the floor. I asked for a refund and stayed somewhere else for the night, but they denied my request as well as the attempts from Hotels.com to get my request approved. I spoke to the manager on the phone in the lobby about my experience, and he proceeded to yell at me. It is not acceptable to treat customers like this; obviously, the state of the rooms is not my fault, nor did I think I was being overly picky. I don't usually complain about minor issues, but this was unacceptable.

We did ask for extra blankets and pillows and they only had one blanket and asked me to us a towel as a pillow. So that could be improved. The area is good, the Mexican place across the parking lot was DELICIOUS. Would stay here again.

We stayed at the Wingate by Wyndham in Bellingham on August 30th, 2025 and the room was filthy. The shower had hair and a yellow shumpston's near the drain , floors were dirty, furniture was scratched and worn. Bathroom tiles were cracked with missing grouch, wallpaper was peeling, the bed was old squeaky, and appeared used by previous guests. When we asked to speak with a manager, hoping for a clean room or a reimbursement, she completely seemed indifferent, claimed the hotel was fully booked, abruptly apologize and hung up as if dealing with unhappy customers was a daily Norm. Completely unacceptable .

The gym was surprisingly nice as was the front desk person, Artie.
Besides that, this place is a last resort. Our room was in basement next to the laundry (no elevator). The pipes knocked loudly every time someone flushed. The breakfast looked disgusting. The housekeepers kept their radios on full blast and their conversation was so loud in the hallway.
If you have to stay here because everything else is full, it's fine, but if there's a choice, choose somewhere else.

In Bellingham for a medical procedure. The front desk made the best choice for our room closest to the entry. Everyone was courteous and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The MANAGER has been nothing but harmful and rude since we got here. I called ahead to confirm it was wheelchair accessible since I am travelling with someone in one. She was so rude and said that they were all taken and I asked her to please check again. She finally gave us a room after attitude. Then breakfast is in a different building. Up the hill, across the road. So we haven’t been able to eat breakfast. I can not push 300 pounds up that hill. It’s not possible. The manager lied to Expedia so we didn’t get any refund. Wheelchair lifts don’t work for pool. Manager told me we have to ask her for house cleaning. So I called and she told me I had to come to the office to exchange/pick up. I get to the office (which is up a hill in a DIFFERENT building) and she tells me I should have asked for room service and then she called house cleaning to my room. The house cleaner couldn’t even believe it. Apparently the manager is incredibly disrespectful to staff. Multiple staff told me to document my experience as I would need proof fighting with their manager. I understand now. And shame on you Wyndham. When I sent in a complaint explaining this was the manager, they gave me the manager’s email to come to a solution…… what a freaking joke.

We stayed for a wedding in Bellingham. The evening before the wedding The AC unit turned into a heater in the middle of the night. We opened the window- ground level and the ground lights went straight into the room. The bathroom fan was no relief either as it squealed badly and would have woken the entire floor. It was 29 degrees in our room. We were told by the front desk at 2:30 am to open a window or unplug the unit or turn on the bathroom fan. They were unable to move us. My husband slept in the car. The next day they apologized and said the same thing happened the night before. We were moved. Upon checkout we were not offered a discount, or anything. I let hotels.com know and they contacted the property. They refused to do anything. Hotels.com offered us a small voucher for future use.

We reserved and payed for 2 King Suites. We were given Room C 125 and 225. We asked that rooms be near each other, and at least they were one over the other. Room 125 is about 1/3 under ground so it's darker and smells a bit different. We liked the hard floor in that room, seemed cleaner than the rug in 225.
Successes: friendly team members, good parking, free breakfast with long hours.
Struggles: staff member at the desk when needed, cracked window- unknown to staff, window in 125 difficult to close (for safety). Smaller fridge in 125. No extra blankets in room and when we asked the front desk, we were told there were NO extra blankets....what about for the pull out couch?
And let's not get started on the room service situation. Apparently room service is provided by a 3rd party in another state. A generic menu is provided of items available at nearby restaurants. We ordered using the QR code left in the room. However, the team member at the office had NO idea and continued to claim that there was no room service. It took over 2 hours to get our food, it was cold and a waste of money. One team member said that the manager would refund my money, but never followed through with that.

Continental breakfast options were great as usual. The bed mattress itself was comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. But condition of rooms and hallways need attention. Bathroom fan was on its last legs. Wallpaper peeling. Floor was still wet with a puddle of cleaning chemicals when I first entered the room (which was quickly drying). No option to have fan running in ac unit through the night. It was very noisy in the breakfast room area the next morning while staff were setting up.

The AC is a big cheap one making the air in the room really dry, at night when you call the front desk for a wake up call nobody is answering, our last day we missed our flight and decided to stay another day after being charged $40 for staying an extra 2 hours..which is ok even if nobody took our room..We asked to pay for another night and have the $40 removed..They told us no problem.. Now a few days later still have the charge for the 2 extra hours and almost $180 for an extra night,,I called ,was told a manager will call me ..2 days later ..Still waiting..

This is an older hotel that appears to have been bought by Wyndham, but it did not have the same standards you expect from a Wyndham. We had a basement room in a set of 3 buildings, so getting luggage down the stone steps was not easy. The room was dark, and dirty. The furniture was way too big for the small space in the room, and it was very cramped. The bathroom was not better, both of my shoulders touched the walls that surrounding the toilet. When you flushed the toilet, the pipes banged so hard it sounded like someone was pounding on the walls for a whole minute after you flushed! The bed had visible stains on the mattress and bed skirt, along with hair and crumbs. There was caked on dust on every baseboard that was visible, and when I spilled water on the floor the white towel I wiped it up with was black!

The room wasn’t very clean - lots of dirt coming out of the heat/ac vents. Linens had holes, mattress was wrapped in plastic and internet was very weak, unusable. We were given a room on the 3rd floor and there was no elevator, only an outdoor stairway

Hot tub not hot enough

Great stay. Lovely room. My only thing was the hot tub was not hot enough...it needs to be a few degrees hotter to to be a nice experience...please increase the temperature then i wud give a great review
