I requested a handicap accessible room. It was obvious that the room had not been used for some time. The room had been cleaned but there were places where the dust was thick. There was a coffee maker in the room but no pot and no coffee. The bed was adequate and the sheets were clean.

I was told to leave after a guy who refused to give me his name told me to after he came to me and said he didn’t have me checked in on his system and no reservation. I extended with a female who as they commonly do did not give me a receipt but reprogrammed my key for another night. The guy wanted to charge me again for the room and I refused showing my reservation. Since it was 10:25pm at night when they chose to address the issue it caused more confusion than necessary and they seems to make it as they couldn’t access the reservation. It was not my fault but was told to leave and had the cops called on me. I would like my money back and credited for the lost deposit I was unable to redeem in the hast of things.

The owners and workers were mostly men. I was given what i asked for;an iron, clean sheet, key cards (locked mine in the room) and a sink stopper.
They were polite. The motel needs an update. The bedding, mattress and chair all had cigarette burns. Which is not their fault since there are no smoking signs everywhere. The first room they put us in smelled like someone had just smoked a bowl. They moved us immediately. I think they mostly get truckers as patrons. They are right next to a Pilot gas station. If they want better patrons they need to clean and install those small amenities. And the pool and hottub were out of order.

Well, we did not stay here. We booked it then shortly after my husband was checking out the reviews. NOT good!! We did contact Expedia, Thi was awesome to chat with and they tried to get a refund throuvh the Super 8 which of course they denied. I appreciate the lenghts that Thi went through to try and get us the refund and ensuring we would be contacted again in this matter. Live and learn, check out the review if it is somewhere you have not gone before. Just stick to the places you know then you won't have to go through this.

There was used shampoo bottle in the bathroom, rust everywhere, plaster on walls where fixes were made but not finished. Stains on the walls and floors. Cobwebs in the ceiling corners. Dirty bathtub. Blankets smelled stale and old. It was so dirty that I didn’t sleep in the bed but rather on top of my clothing from my suitcase. This place should be condemned or have a serious remodel

When I arrived and made it to my assigned room, we open the door and the beds aren't made, empty beer cans on the nightstand. Overall the property was really dirty, quite noisy strange people all around the building. I would not recommend this place or ever stay at this property again.

So the first room 220 looked really nice,untill i found a spider on the pillow under the covers,i went down to the front desk with a picture of said spider on the pillow and asked the front desk person if they recently had problems with bed bugs and his very words were not too recently.he looked the picture and said thats a spider we can give you a different room,i said ok so onto room 115 not as nicely done but no bugs.but in the bathroom there was black mildew/black mold in the corners of the ceiling to walls and there was a plastic/rubberish strip at the bottom of the tub on outside to the floor thatcwas very nasty looking.1 of the 2 fluorescent tubes were not working and the pool was not usable as it was empty.

What a dump!!

Worst stay out of town ever! It was a Super 8 so I wasn't expecting luxury however I also wasn't expecting a dirty, unsafe room. I was traveling with my teenage daughter, I checked in and went to the room. The moment i walked in i knew it wasn't going to be good. The smell of urine was horrible, there were dead bugs on the bathroom counter and the door lock was broken. I went back down to the front desk and the clerk was less than friendly or understanding. I told him i felt unsafe in that room without a top lock and his response was \"oh it's ok we've never had anything bad Halen l happen here\" Unacceptable! I told him about the smell and he told me that it wasn't a pet room so it couldn't smell. I told him about the dead bugs. I asked him for a different room and his response was \"you can check out but I won't refund you\". We were there for a family event and it was late. After again telling him I felt unsafe he finally agreed to give me another room.

The TV didn't work, there was mold in the bathroom, the faucet was broken and kept falling off in my hands any time we washed our hands. I wouldn't ever stay again and if i could've gotten a different place to stay i most definitely would've changed my reservation!!

This hotel stay was a total disappointment. I specifically booked this hotel as it clearly stated it had a functional and working pool (which my kiddo was so excited about) only to show up to find that it was bone dry and under construction. Upon booking, this should have been communicated that construction was occurring and that some amenities were not available. Had I known, I would have booked somewhere else.

The room itself was also mediocre. A broken light fixture to the left of the bed, no TV remote to properly watch (you could get up and change channels on the side of the TV), a ridiculously loud fan in the washroom that automatically turns on with the light, and extremely dated furniture and related linens.

It would be appreciated if the hotel would work with Expedia to not only update/modify their listing but also remedy this situation with a discount (or similar) rectify the misrepresentation of the stay.

Room was smelly like someone had been smoking. Window was open when we came in. Handicap amenities but no handicap person would be able to push or pull the door open and would be In Trouble if there
Was an emergency. No exhaust fan in bathroom. The whole room would smell of your defecation. Bed was very uncomfortable. I had back surgery was hard to sleep. Indoor pool but was not operating.
Dining room was filthy wanted nothing to do with any food there, At $125 a night a complete rip off.

For the price, the room was perfectly acceptable. Basically, it's a truck stop motel. The bed was comfortable and there was a fridge and microwave. The carpet was old and dirty and the shower had lots of damage. But it was a nice hot shower with good pressure. The room was quiet except for a hum from trucks outside. Fine for a road trip with two dogs.

We were unable to check in. Stopped by at noon when we arrived in town and person at front desk said room would be available at 2 p.m. Lobby had uncovered outlets with wires sticking out. Pool was empty and under major renovation. Our family returned at 5 p.m. to check in and no one was there. A sign at the front desk told us to dial zero on the lobby phone. The man who answered told us his system was down and we could not get into our room. He said someone would arrive possibly in 20 minutes and at that time we could see if the system was working. He asked us just to wait in the parking lot. I asked about a refund so we could go somewhere else and he said no refunds. Our family had an event to attend and did not have time to wait to see if we could possibly get into our room later. We found another room at another location.

Even my children were scared and disgusted on top of being extremely disappointed that the pool in the hot tub are down with no plans of fixing it. Wires on the plugs were exposed. There’s mold everywhere we had to completely strip the beds to make sure there was no bugs everything about this facility is disgusting and it should be condemned end of story. I am not exaggerating. We only ended up staying one night of our two night reservation and that was only because it was already after 10pm that we checked in. The room was dirty with water bottles under our beds, the electrical casing was exposed on our bedside lamps, the floor was lumpy tiled instead of carpeted, the toilet handle kept trying to pop out, cigarette burns on the bedspread and the tub was stained. Oh and the pool and hot tub? Out of commission, bone dry for some time.

There were so many problems at this hotel so let's just start at the beginning. The room was completely dirty. It looks fine at first glance, but then you notice the bedspread has marker on it, then bathroom counter has nail polish stuck to it, bathtub was missing a stopper and an overflow cap. Not to mention the fact that the tub needs recaulked. Everything in the room in general is worn and in need of repair. Fridge would not get cold enough to freeze even after several days. Property overall in and out is very badly in need of repair, maintenance, and upkeep.

Breakfast area was very poorly kept. One day was all right, but when we went down 3 days later they were completely out of milk, pancake mix, butter, and plates only an hour after they open the dining area. And there was not an attendant around at all to even ask about it.

There is a pool advertised, but apparently according to the desk clerk it's been empty for months and nobody's done anything about it, nor did they warn us about it.

The only elevator was out of service for a full day after the fire department came by to do something with it. Not the hotel's fault, but there was a domestic violence situation at the hotel. Make sure your car stays locked because the area is super sketchy. Would have found any other open hotel in a different price range if possible.

The best part was the staff when you were able to get a hold of them. They were very courteous and helpful. Laundry room was also a bonus.

Nice little place to stay for my Vito’s to the salt caves at Flow Motion in town.

Barely had water pressure to shower. The tap at the sink you really had to watch to make sure you twisted it to shut off
The room itself was super tidy
The bed was ok on the firmer side. Now about that slipper bedspread that just slides off not a fan.
One day the elevator was also broken (I’m on the third floor and happy it was not check in/out day. For me

It’s pretty filthy here. Lots of permanent housing for folks, which isn’t a bad thing except no one cleans. The halls stink, the rooms smell. The elevator smells and the lights didn’t work. The landscaping and the interior of the property are old and falling apart. Trash everywhere. Cans over flowing and trash littered all over. One transient was digging in the cigarette butt dispenser. Weird men just loafing around. Didn’t feel safe. They charge $15 per dog per night on the sign sitting at check in but the officer attendant told me $20. Then when I said “your sign says $15” he tells me “oh we need to change that”. We left early. We didn’t stay the whole time.

From the constant stench of pot in the hallways to the disrepair of the room. Where do I start? Cigerette burns on the bed covers, furnishings that should have seen a dumpster 10 years ago. Walls had holes that where plastered, but not painted. Bathroom floor, sketchy if it was clean. Pulled the 1970's faucet handle off turning the water on. Light switch in bathroom and ceiling fan disgustingly dirty as most of the other surfaces. Switch plate broken. Metal covering that ran over the light cord up the wall, half off. Light shades had holes. No hangers in the empty, doorless cupboard that was the closet. We stayed there because it is the only hotel in Ferndale. Never again.

Our unit was to have a table, it had no table. We notified the front desk, and they gave us a second room supposedly with a table, still no table! We gave up!

Room was small with one chair. Room was noisy as large trucks were running directly outside our room while drivers slept in them. Hot tub and small pool also closed and could not be used as out for service!

Unit had been cleaned but still old hat under bed and small refrigerator.

We would not stay here again and a very disappointing Super 8, normally we are pleased.

Worst experience EVER

Pool that was advertised on website was out of order. First room had a broken TV and fridge. 2nd room TV went in and out and was dirty. Found socks(not ours) in the room it was not cleaned, moldy thermos and bathtub. Entire place smelled horrible.

Have never stayed at a super 8 before. We just needed a place to stay for the evening. Staff was accommodating. The location was close to some restaurants and a gas station.

Not clean. Fruit flies in the juice dispenser at breakfast. Didn’t feel clean to sleep in , it made me home sick.

Building outside is great. Lots of old carpeting with wierd smells. Rusty fixtures. Outdated bathrooms. Lock on window kinda broken but works. Bedspreads yuck! Great tv. Good heating and coolings per room. Good bed. Nice breakfast. One of our rooms was wide open from housekeeping at check in. Would not stay again unfortunately.
