There we're live electrical wires hanging from the ceiling, the toilet was not bolted down nearly fell over when I was on it, no coffee in the room, breakfast was as cheap as they could make it, I did not feel safe parking there so all in all a dump.

Morningglory is a very large hotel, which apparently usually has many vacancies. It has about 140 rooms. It looked like there were maybe 20 or 30 people at most stayin. I chose it because it was within walking distance of a care facility on Orchard that I was visiting. My room
was spotlessly clean, a bit on the cold side and the old-fashioned below the winduw heater that was effective but noisy. Breakfast was good, the basics. The staff was excellent, personable and attentive. It's a good place to stay if you’re on a low budget.

Everything was clean and the staff were wonderful. They went out of their way, beyond normal, to make sure we were happy and comfortable. The TV in my assigned room didn't work; they moved me to a bigger bed. The microwave didn't work but I was ready to leave. The first room the furniture was very fine. The second room, there were nicks and scratches, discolorations. Heat and AC were great.

I travelled from Canada to see a live music event. The staff was away from the front desk when I arrived so I had to wait approximately 10 minutes to check-in. On top of that annoyance, the staff took forever to complete my check in. And to top it all of off they returned my credit card but not my license and I did not notice. I went to my concert and was denied entry because I did not have my ID, missing a large portion of it. The management gave me lip service about making it up to me, but they have not responded. The people here are very incompetent and I would be weary of staying here.

overall hotel was not bad. clean and had a decent breakfast. However, we reserved a King bed specifically and paid more for it. The bed we received was smaller than a King by a good amount (probably around 66 inches across). I tried reaching out and telling them the bed was smaller and they just said it was a king. Wish I would have just booked a queen and saved money. Frustrating because otherwise it seemed like a good hotel.

My room selected online was not available on the first floor upon check-in, I was told that I could have a similar room(king sized bed) on the 2nd floor close to the elevator, as I am an ADA customer and and cannot carry my luggage up and down the stairs. When I got to my room, it was the standard double queen bed room. When I went downstairs to ask about it, the front desk associate was swamped with other clients for a couple of hours. The coffee area was dirty with sugar, and coffee spilled , and the coffee pots were constantly empty at around 9pm. The front desk people were very nice and you could tell that they were try hard to make everyone happy, so I did not wish to add to their already full plates and complain about such small things.

I needed to book a room for my 80y/o mother to stay after my dad was life flighted to St Joseph’s hospital from Lopez island. When I called and booked I explained that my
Mom was very frail and needed an ADA compliant room with a walk in shower. The staff seemed to be caring and understanding. After receiving a call from her at 1:32 am stating that she had called 911 and that I needed to get up there as she had fallen and hit her head on the bathtub and couldn’t see out of her right eye. I caught the first flight out of SLC. Absolute dump. Didn’t realize this was a weekly rental motel. Lots of nefarious activity on and in the surrounding area of the motel. Was supposed to be an ADA compliant room with an open shower. There was no ADA compliance whatsoever. Photos are

I stayed there about 5 days and I was appoached 3 times by two staff members, who asked me how my stay was and if they could do anything for me. I had to get to the airport at 3AM, but there were no taxies or Uber at that time that I could set up. They arranged a private driver for me and I had no worries. The breakfast area was clean and the breakfast was great with a good assortment. My bed was very comfortable. Hi give 6 stars!

$57 to check in 40 minutes early set the tone. $20 extra for visiting 4 and 6 year old grandsons to play in the swimming pool. Bulletins posted everywhere with moneitary threats ($20 if you lose a towel) was indicative of the only work being done. Spend more time cleaning and less time threatening customers. Will not stay there again. Staff was equally unfriendly.

This is actually a useful place when traveling, because it’s on the freeway (route five) and easy enough to get into after parking and checking in. I scent in the room was a bit strong. The bed was fine. Bathroom was fine. I stopped by to have breakfast before I left, but there wasn’t much left. Then again I didn’t get there till about 8:15. So I went somewhere else for breakfast. Fortunately, I’m familiar with the area. Hotel, such as this one is awfully convenient if I miss a late ferry boat. The people were really nice.

Checked in looked at room just kinda run down and used a towel and a lot of dirt came up from the floor and when we decided to leave and not stay but couldn’t find a room elsewhere we had no choice but to go back and stay and when we did that we felt like we were harassed the second time that we came back asking for more blankets and like I made it a point to be like oh you are the people that left your room and just very uncomfortable feeling in being questioned

Great little ‘get away from the fireworks’ stay!

This was a quick, overnight getaway. Needed a nice, quiet room for the night, to get away from the fireworks on the 4th of July. This was a perfect getaway! The room was spacious and clean. The beds were very comfy. The bathroom was clean, the toilet was separate from the sink, which I like. A good strong fan in the bathroom. Excellent water pressure and the shower was wonderful. There was a microwave and a small fridge in the room, but no coffeemaker. They have a continental breakfast so you can get coffee there. The tv worked great and had a big selection of channels. It all made for a great visit and I highly recommend this hotel for a sweet little get away.

Pros: The bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean. Shower was fine. And AC worked. that was all I cared about! So I have no major complaints about the essentials.

Cons:
They claimed the room was smoke free but it reeks of cigarette smell!
Furniture are super old and they don’t look clean! It’s not a room you want to spend time in! But it’s ok for sleeping.

While its location next to the interstate may be less than ideal, the rates, room cleanliness, and friendly staff made this an enjoyable and affordable stay. It is only a short drive down Meridian to groceries, and only a bit further to the bay, downtown, restaurants, etc. I would absolutely stay here again.

One of my favorite parts was that the dog pickup station was emptied regularly and always stocked with baggies. It was awesome. I was less thrilled by the fact that I wasn't allowed to have a third towel (I'm a baby who likes to have 3 towels when I get done with my shower, okay?) and I had to trade in one or both of my big white towels to get another clean dry towel. It wasn't a HUGE deal, but it was annoying.

The facilities are very old and tired. The bedding was at least clean and fairly comfortable, but the carpet was very dirty (to the point that if you walked across the room with bare feet to the shower, when your feet touched the wet shower floor, the water puddles were immediately dirty and brown). The curtains were stained with what looked like blood (god I hope it was catchup)
Watch any grassy areas around the parking lot as there was a lot of dog feces from long term renters that are not picking up after their pets.
That being said, the common indoor areas were clean, the complimentary breakfast wasn’t bad, amand the staff were working very hard to clean up after messy breakfast customers.

It was a quick stay, as we arrived late at night (after 10pm) and departed in the morning around 9am. It was pet friendly and fairly close to the border. I imagine it would have a different feel in the summer, as the pool and hot tub was closed. We were impressed by the breakfast, which wasn’t great, but exceeded our expectations. Also, a disc golf course was within a 10 minute walking distance of the hotel. BIG plus.

We stayed in two different room because I added an extra night onto the front of my original reservation. Both rooms were clean and beds were very comfortable. I appreciated how easy the lady who helped me made it for checking into the new room. Since it was early in the day she allowed me to turn in my 1st room keys and gave me the keys to the new room because we would not be getting back to the room until very late. We did not eat the breakfast or use any other amenity at this hotel, only slept there. Overall great experience and I would recommend this hotel.

I the first room we got was not clean and the sheets on the beds were stained and dirty. The bathroom door had a huge crack in it and the walls were damaged. We changed rooms and while the second room was cleaner the floor was clearly slanted toward the middle and the drawers on both the dresser and the nightstand would open by themselves and not stay closed. The gentleman who ran the desk at night was very helpful, but there was nothing he could obviously do. We ended up deciding not to stay the second night and just went home.

The lady at the front desk was really sweet and wonderful to deal with. The breakfast was really good and well stocked. All the staff was amazing and accommodating.

On the negative; do better government of Washington…

They have a fair amount of government subsidized long term homeless renters that are unruly, rude, abusive towards the staff, make a mess on the property and just in general make the stay a little stressful. It was awful to watch helplessly as these people abused the hotel staff and the property in general. The unruly homeless in general what made the area unsafe. The hotel is forced to have the very people that are terrorizing citizens stay in their hotel. They take up all the main floor rooms and when we drove past one person was just naked laying on the bed. The other had a full camp style BBQ set up smoking away just outside their room.

Through out all of the scary interactions the staff had with the unruly homeless occupants. The staff remained polite, calm and respectful of these hooligans ans their inflated sense of entitlement(knowingly having power over the poor staff). I offered to dial 911 on one occasion and the poor lady said it wouldn’t help as the Police take the side of the homeless and it just makes the homeless abuse them more and break more things.

They did have a few elderly homeless long term guests that were very polite and seemed to be grateful for the use of the property.

It was my first time back to Bellingham after a few years. I was comfortable and pleased with the room, location, breakfast. More importantly, was the oustanding customer service of Ali and MJ!!! They were present to me and other customers. They went above and beyond to provide excellent customer service and warmth. There was a error with charges and Ali assured me and rectified the situation. I will be making periodic trips to Bellingham and will definitely stay here again. Thank you Ali and MJ for making my stay enjoyable, safe and comfortable😊🙏

Run down motel that’s trying to slowly update
