The hotel uses diffusers, so there is an artificial fragrance throughout the property, including inside the rooms. The scent made me nauseous, and I had to request that housekeeping stop spraying my room with additional fragrance. My room improved after a day, but the scent remained strong in the rest of the hotel, which made my stay less desirable.

Our rooms and all common areas were spotless, staff were extremely attentive from check-in to restaurant and doormen. The pool was open air with coverage so we could swim no matter the time of day or weather and again, spotless. The Sherwood suite is located in the safe area, its walkable to the super market and a number of the good restaurants. The 3 bedrooms appartment is spacious and clean. The beds are comfy to guarantee a good night sleep. There is a fully equipped kitchen, a washing machine and a dryer, it make we feel like staying in our own homes.

The hotel was family-friendly as we travelled with our children, ages 8 and 14. We walked everywhere! Lots of choices to eat around the hotel and everyone is very kind. Always a smiling face! The room was very spacious and clean. You had to really step up into the tub, but other than that we have no complaints. Our son loved the recreation area and our daughter enjoyed the easy walk with my husband to get coffee/drinks in the morning (there are a coffee spots right across the street. We loved our stay!

We stayed two nights here with our kids, who loved the games facilities, including foosball, table tennis, a pool table, and PlayStation. We also enjoyed a short swim in the beautiful pool, cut short by the chilly water temperature despite it being over 30 degrees outside every day. The lobby is very welcoming and the staff were helpful at check-in. The family suite we stayed in was clean but a little run down. The layout seemed haphazard, with empty rooms and hallways to nowhere- not the space-efficient design of a modern brand name hotel. It was nice to have space to to spread out a little after staying in mostly one-room hotel rooms, though. The beds were a little springy but tolerable. The Wi-Fi was regrettably unreliable inside the suite. The hotel has a lot offer, but the room, rustic compared to modern hotels, was the weakest element. We enjoyed the quiet neighbourhood a short walk to main tourist sites like the Saigon Post Office.

Quan stepped in and paid our cab fare from his own pocket, which was exceptionally kind of him and we appreciated this very much and made sure to tip him extra when we paid him back the next day.
All in all a great stay and wouldn't hesitate to book or recommend this accomodation for a stay in HCMC!
