the hotel is very old and not in good condition. the power socket next to the bed is not working and making an electrical sound, I informed the receptionist and nothing happened. TV has no internet and most of the channels are not working and the ones working are not of good quality, if is they are using a cheap IP TV service. The toilet hose was leaking. when I told them that am Expedia platinum member didn't mean anything to them and nothing free or upgrade.

Very central location to airport, but facilities not great. Swimming pool is too deep at 1.55m all round with no shallow section, water in the room takes 20mins to heat up, food for breakfast is very good, but for dinner is very repetitive, same three rotations throughout the week.
Called the reception for an iron, didn't end up coming, called reception for toilet roll, again didn't come. Not what you expect from such a highly regarded hotel, would not recommend

Stay like a president…” it says on their own website. There is NOTHING “presidential” about this hotel, its facilities and its staff. To name but a few issues:
No fridge in room on arrival.
Wires hanging from sockets.
Wallpaper hanging from walls.
Zero water pressure in the ‘shower’.
Smoke alarm hanging from ceiling.
Televisions don’t work.
WiFi intermittent and as slow as ‘dial up then stopped working completely.
Advertised as having ‘balcony’ - there is no balcony.
Only 4 plug in bedside lamps (no ceiling lights) in the entire room. Curtain pole fell off on day 1 and never got repaired.
No ‘club lounge’ as advertised.
Stains all over carpets.
Dust on tables.
Rude staff who blatantly lie to your face, then say ‘it’s never happened’.
No batbrobes (etc) provided.
No explanation of any facilities - simply given a ‘printed note’ of facilities to figure out for ourselves.
The spa/gym had smashed mirrors and broken equipment. Breakfast was basic and nothing like the photos.
Disappointed Expedia did not think that being mis-sold a product where the amenities advertised were not there and the fire safety equipment was not functional was a qualifying factor for a relocation.
No apology from anyone at the hotel. Just lies and disinterest at every attempt to ask them to resolve even basic cleanliness issues.

Location was good, the metro was on the doorstep which made it convenient to get access to different locations around the city. The wifi at the hotel was poor, couldn’t make or receive any calls, only good for surfing the net. The TV had only two channels working. Breakfast was okay too, buffet style breakfast.

I stayed here for one night whilst in transit. Nice hotel. Staff are friendly and pleasant. Clean. Room and bathroom were big and spacious. Comfortable. Nice view from room. Complimentary water provided plus tea and coffee making facilities in the room. As it was a very short overnight stay at the hotel, I did not use any other facilities nor eat at the hotel. My difference between a 4 and 5 rating is location. The metro appeared to be nearby but that was it. There was nothing else. If I was staying in Qatar longer, I would look for a hotel more centrally located.

they did not give exact information about using spa. As I checked in at midnight time, I could not use it, but in the morning I wanted to use it, but they said only 1:00 pm was available, so I couldn't use it because I had to leave the hotel at 1:00 PM.

Travel for one night stay

Armesh , was annoying calling many times for checkout he can’t wait half an hour.
The matters was not clean , checked in was 3 am very tired from my road trip.
Ceiling was leaking water in bathroom
Check in was smooth.
I’m gold member jn Hotels. I don’t get room upgrade instead I was offered to pay for the upgrade. Very weird from hotels and the hotel it’s self.

This was a great stay. The hotel was only one block away from a metro station so I took the metro from the airport to the stop near the hotel and walked. The hotel staff were fabulous! The room was spacious and equipped with a mini refrigerator and in room coffee. The only complaint I would share with the owners is that the carpet is filthy with stains all over.

The bathtub was extremely slippery, especially for elderly people. It needs a rubber mat or some rough texture on the bottom.
N. American people are expecting to have \"face cloths\" in the bathroom. We aren't use to having to wash our face with the corner of a towel.
Since breakfast is part of the price of the hotel, if we must check out even before breakfast time, couldn't we have a discount or else be offered a muffin or something free of charge? The high price of the two croissants I bought there at night when we checked in, was totally unreasonable.
Irfan was nice, but ridiculously, for no reason, suddenly announced he was up-grading our room to one with a balcony. It was late at night when we arrived and we'd be leaving before it even got light so what was the motivation for this generous sounding \"upgrade\"? We didn't so much as open the drapes.

Although, the hotel room is out date, but location is good near metro, and pillows are very comfortable. The service from the front desk (especially from Gamal) and security teams is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is delicious and the service team is tentative, and prompt. Highly recommended.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!

Paid a fortune to stay here as no other hotels were available due to World Cup. Hotel is meant to be a 4 star but wouldn’t even class it as a 3 star.
- Carpet in room was dirty and coming off the floor.
- Didn’t even have a built in fridge was just left on the floor next to desk.
- Safe wasn’t working, concierge was told and came to fix it. 10 minutes later stopped working again.
- Room smelt of cigarettes.
- Was charged full price for a massage when it clearly states guests get discounted rates. When told about this they asked me to get a drink from the hotel shop instead of giving me the money back. In the end I had to settle for a free transfer back to the airport.
- Tv signal was terrible. Couldn’t watch anything clearly, screen was very fuzzy and kept cutting out.
- Hairdryer was rubbish and didn’t any others to replace it with.
Would NOT recommend this hotel and will definitely NOT stay here again!

The overall stay was average as the staff was a let down. There were a bunch of Arabic speaking staff at the concierge who were non-welcoming, didn't help with the bags & generally chatting away. The breakfast was a complete let down considering that it coated QR 110/- per person. We had 3 rooms for the week & all of us were of the opinion as above.

Stayed overnight after a long flight from Sydney which arrived at Hamad International just before midnight and returning very early the next morning for our onward flight. We organised a transfer to and from the airport to the hotel and was pleased to see the driver waiting for us considering the very lengthy delay in getting through passport control. The room was clean and tidy and the bed and pillows very comfortable. As we had to get back to the airport very early the hotel provided a takeaway breakfast box each of fruit, pastries and jams, and water. We found the hotel staff were very helpful and welcoming. We have no hesitation in recommending the Copthorne for a long or short stay.

Outstanding from all aspects of a traveler's expectation. Accessibility, cleanliness, friendliness, comfort, great food, speed internet, ready business center, in the center of Doha, within walking distance to Souk Waqef and the Corniche. Most importantly, the employees and staff courtesy makes the big difference.
