I recently stayed at this hotel and overall had a really enjoyable experience. The hotel itself was excellent – the rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable, and the staff were always friendly and welcoming.

The surrounding area is a hidden gem in Europe. There are incredible restaurants offering what feels like 5‑star Michelin meals at budget prices, and the beaches directly outside the sister hotel, Bio Beach Hotel, are perfect for a lazy day in the sun.

That said, there were a couple of small issues. The location of the hotel felt a little cramped, and the lift getting stuck a few times was unsettling, especially for my 12‑year‑old son. The dining options at the hotel also felt repetitive, and the buffet closing at 9:30pm seemed too early for guests who prefer a later dinner.

Despite these minor drawbacks, this is a wonderful hotel in a fantastic location. With a little more variety in the dining and some improvements to the lift, it could easily be perfect.

We paid a pretty reasonable price for this beaitiful hotel. Facilities are new and clean. The spa is small but very nice , they only take 6 people per time.
The hotel is not in the seafront as I thought but it has its own sun loungers/bar services at the rethymno beach which is one small block away.
We had half board booking and the breakfast buffet was very good with great variety of food. Dinner buffet was okay, not the best food we've had in hotel buffets but also not terrible. I believe it to be fair for the price we paid. The area around is really nice, with restaurants, cafes, shops along the beach and only 10min walk to Rethymno old town. Parking was a bit difficult at times but manageable if you follow the greek rules of parking which is none 😂 Overall, we were very pleased with the hotel and its services. They even offered some entertainment at the bar area during the weekend. It was just a shame that the pool was not heated enough for kids to be able to swim more comfortably/often. (We went during Easter).

Hotel molto bello, stanze ampie e pulite. Si trova 2 min a piedi dalla spiaggia convenzionata e a 10’min a piedi dal centro. Ottima posizione.
Non ha parcheggio privato, bisogna trovarlo sulla strada oppure posteggiare al parcheggio pubblico al porto

Nice room, great pool and a huge big breakfast buffet. Unfortunately we went when it was holidays so lots of people and kids but it was still really great. They had a live culture band which where mesmerising and 6 dancers which was really special! We loved our stay.

I have only positive comments and no complaints. Everything was perfect. I have stayed in many accommodations throughout Rethymnon and this is by far the best in every regard. Wonderful and professional staff, absolutely delicious food, beautiful courtyard, spacious and clean rooms, comfortable beds, live entertainment, excellent location.

Lovely hotel with very good pool and food

We had a great stay, the room was comfortable, the pool lovely and HEATED a massive bonus in April. Food was always tasty, but could be busy with a bit of elbow barging by some of the other guests! A couple of small details could be improved - the gym was closed which was a shame, there was no notice of this. Our room was se up for 3 rather than four, and the kettle didn't work. The WiFi was good, but sometimes intermittent. Despite these minor issues, we had a great time and would definitely book again.

Empfehlenswert

Ein sehr gepflegtes und sauberes Hotel. Wir, Familie mit zwei volljährigen Kindern, haben zwei wunderschöne Wochen in einem Apartment mit 2 Schlafzimmer mit einem Blick auf den Pool verbracht. Das Apartment war gross, schön und sauber, genau wie auf den Fotos.
Das Personal war sehr professionell und zuvorkommend, sowohl im Restaurant als auch an der Rezeption. Frühstücks- und Abendessen ist lecker und abwechslungsreich. Aufgrund des Coronavirus gab es am Buffet keine Selbstbedienung mehr. Stattdessen wurden wir vom Personal bedient. Das Abendessen war typischer Weise von griechischem Essen geprägt, während das Frühstück weniger lokal war. Von den Desserts kann ich vor allem die Baklava empfehlen.
Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr gut, zentral und auch ruhig. Der eigene Sandstrand mit Sonnenliegen (kostenpflichtig) ist etwa 2 Gehminuten entfernt, die schöne Altstadt etwa 10 Min.
Die Corona Massnahmen werden sehr ernst genommen: Händedesinfektionmittel steht überall, das Personal mit Masken, Abstand usw.
Das WiFi funktioniert und ist nichts Besonderes.
Das Abendprogramm gibt es jeden Abend und für jeden Wochentag ist etwas anderes geplant. Es ist mehr oder weniger amüsant.
Der Poolbereich ist sauber, jedoch haben wir uns entschieden, ihn nicht zu nutzen und stattdessen im Meer zu baden, welches warm war.
Das Hotel hat keine eigenen Parkplätze, doch ist es möglich in der Nähe gratis auf der Strasse zu parken, sofern man einen freien Platz finden kann.

We are missing this hotel already! The location is fantastic and is only a two minute walk to the beach and roughly ten minute walk to shops, bars and restaraunts. The hotel staff were always welcoming and friendly and offered advice whenever needed. Our welcome was met with some offers as well as a free massage which was really lovely! Breakfast was nice with good options though almost the same everyday. The hotel provided a discounted buffet dinner which was excellent also. The room is a good size and has everything you need for a bed and breakfast stay. Our balcony looked out onto the road which was occasionally noisy earlier than expected but it wasn't much of an issue. Rooms have a fridge, freezer, microwave, kettle etc and the air con is good quality! The hotel has its own private beach area for loungers and umbrellas, which we personally preferred to the pool. The pool was a good size but the beach had more of a breeze (way more bearable). The gym has the basics for a workout and the bar offers good drinks. Rooms always cleaned superbly and beach towels available to be swapped every three days seemed reasonable. We didn't realise quite how perfect the hotel would be or it's significance in the area. Genuinely wouldn't stay anywhere else when we come back to rethymnon.

Really enjoyed our stay at Bio Suites. Beautiful hotel with lovely big apartments. In a good location with an easy 20 min stroll into town.
The people on the front desk were really helpful. We had bother with the toilet flushing and a new part was installed straight away.
The one negative was the buffet breakfast could have been warmer, eggs, bacon etc, but you could say that about buffet breakfasts in most hotels.

Friendly hotel very close to the beach

Bio hotel is within easy walking distance of all the sites and tastes of Rethmynon's old town. The pool is great but it's only a slip to a great beach, which is even more fun when the waves are coming in. Is recommend it to anyone as it's good value and it seems the staff can't do enough to make your stay a great one.

Good value mid-tier hotel

We spent two nights here in late April. The hotel is a block from the beach and beachfront bistros, and about 15 minutes walk from the port and old town. It seems a well-run, mid-level hotel that does the basics. Nothing fancy, but they get all the important stuff right. We would stay there again.

Ho soggiornato per 9 giorni a fine agosto con mia moglie e mio figlio Bellissimo hotel, camere molto belle e spaziose, io avevo 2 camere e 2 bagni. I clienti eran quasi tutti tedeschi.
Hotel vicino alla spiaggia, spiaggia attrezzata con lettini e ombrellone.a 80 metri circa gratis per i clienti dell'hotel, con possibilità di mangiare in spiaggia.
Per 5 giorni mare tranquillo, gli ultimi giorni mare mosso.
Molto gentile e cordiale il personale del bar e della sala, quasi ogni sera vi era uno spettacolo dalle 20,30 alle 22,30, molto bello lo spettacolo di musica e danza cretese, con i ballerini di sirtaki

Bodd på dette hotellet flere ganger pga beliggenhet og bra service med hyggelige ansatte. Hatt halvpensjon alle gangene da det var vært variert og bra utvalg av mat, men var skuffet denne gangen pga kjedelig og smaksløs mat, endte med at vi spiste på Gamlebyen flere ganger.

Das Preisleistungs Verleistungs ist in Ordnung. In underem Zimmer waren die Assesoirs ( Badetuchstangen, WC Rollenhalter Glashalter ect alle lose oder defekt. Der Fitnessraum war extrem klein 2 Laufbänder und 1 Seilzug, also nicht wie auf den Bildern dargestellt. Das Essen war gut, das Personal sehr freundlich, Pool tip top sauber, Spielplatz für Kinder. Das Hotel ist an einer sehr guten Lage.

L’hôtel est très bien situé à une minute de la mer et proche du centre de Rethymnon.
Les chambres sont très agréables et les activités du soir s’arrêtent à 23h, ce qui est appréciable.
La nourriture est excellente à l’exception des confitures du petit déjeuner qui sont très industrielles.
Nous avons passé d’excellentes vacances et sommes ravis d’avoir séjourné au bio suite.
Une petite amélioration pourrait être envisagée avec par exemple, l’installation d’une table de Ping Pong ou d’un baby foot pour occuper les ados !

Hôtel situé au centre ville ce qui permet d'aller se promener facilement à pied la journee et le soir, et à proximité de la plage. Nécessité de s'exprimer en anglais comme dans le reste de la crête .

Bra hotell, men grei standard. Litt varmt på soverommet siden aircondition var sperret på 24 grader. I tilegg var renholdet så som så.
Tror det er mulig å få gratis solsenger på stranden - det hadde ikke vi, men nabo-anlegget på stranden hadde gratis senger med bedre service. Likevel fint med badehåndklær til stranden.
Når det gjelder treningsrommet var det svært varmt med høy fuktighet grunnet SPA anlegget. I tillegg var det dårlige og få apparater, hvor det var feil på et par av disse (ble dog fikset etterhvert). Jeg mener rommet ikke egner seg for trening.

Een zeer aangenaam verblijf in een zeer goed georganiseerd hotel. Alles was tip top in orde. Super schoon en goed Covid protocol. Kamers zijn ruim van opzet en van alle gemakken voorzien.
Ontbijt was in buffet style. Voldoende keus en variatie. Strand op paar honderd meter met ligbedden en handdoeken service.
Al het personeel enorm aardig, gastvrij en service minded.

Fint hotell med god beliggenhet

Fint hotell med flott bassengområde. Hotellet ligger bra til i forhold til strandpromenaden og det er gangavstand til sentrum.
Det var hyggelig personal på hele hotellet.
Bassenget ligger skjermet til og er tilgjengelig også for handikappede da det har en rampe, men rampen mangler gelender.

Hyvä hotelli perhematkailuun

Erittäin mukava viikon mittainen vierailu Bio Suites hotellissa. Henkilökunta erittäin ystävällistä ja palvelualtista. Huone toimiva ainakin kahdelle aikuiselle ja kahdelle lapselle. Meillä oli parveke sisäpihalle eli uima-altaan suuntaan, mukava ilta-aurinko. Huoneessa pieni keittiötila, josta löytyy kaikki tarvittava esimerkiksi lounaan tekemiseen. Kiva uima-allas, joka tosin saattaa olla ruuhkainen silloin kun turistisesonki on kaikista vilkkaimillaan. Otimme puolihoidon koska se oli varsin edullinen, erittäin hyvä illallinen ja hinta-laatusuhde. Puolihoitoon kuuluu myös yhtenä iltana viikossa hotellin järjestämä Kreikkalainen ilta, jolloin illallisella erityisohjelmaa. Hotellin sijainti hyvä, ranta ihan vieressä ja vanhaan kaupunkiin kävelymatka. Hotellissa maksuton Wi-Fi jonka laatu ihan ok. Suosittelen auton vuokraamista Kreetalla, saaresta saa paljon enemmän irti kun voi liikkua vapaasti. Hotellilla ei ole omaa pysäköintialuetta, mutta n. 200m päässä on yleinen maksuton parkkialue josta löytyi tilaa joka päivä.

Jättefin familjesvit för 6. Familjär och trygg stämning trots stort hotell. Jättetrevlig personal, utmärk service. Rent o fräscht. Stor pool och nära fin strand, strandhandduk till lån, reserverade solstolar på stranden m 25%. 15 min fri massage som välkomsterbjudande. Bra underhållning. Enda negativa att wi-fi var dåligt i lägenheten, men bra annars (barnen satt på balkongen eller i sköna soffor i lobbyn). Hade halfboard, bra utbud. Lunch stora portioner, billigt och jättegott! Ex 55kr för en skaldjursrisotto på en jättestor tallrik, vi delade på 2 men vi blev jättemätta. Grekisk afton m dans på måndagar. Fin stad med gränder, massor med restauranger om ni vill äta ute. Vi var där i 4 dagar och det var toppen! Familj m 4 barn: 8,12,14 o 15 år

Excellent resort mais attention aux suppléments !

Très bel hôtel pour un long séjour avec un appartement très complet, des équipements tops MAIS payants (spa, \"massage gratuit\" dissimulé / vente poussée), et une cuisine continentale avec quelques spécialités grecques. De bonnes soirées à thèmes également mais payantes !

Gros point négatif : il y a un nombre de sunbeds limités autour de la piscine, dont les vacanciers posent leur serviette à 7h et reviennent dans la journée. La réception/direction était consciente du problème mais n'ose rien faire...
Solution : Aller à la plage avec sunbed pour 6€ par jour et par personne !
