Booked a “Superior” room and they gave us a broom closet. We were supposed to have twin beds, but they gave us a king. Housekeeping then converted it into two twin beds pressed up against one another. Not like the photos at all (or my prior stay at the hotel). When I mentioned this, reception gave me he key to a larger room to look at. It was in line with the hotel photos, but the safe in this room was tiny and could not hold my valuables (the safe in the first room could). When I mentioned this, no further alternatives were offered so we chose the broom closet (and they charged me to use the safe). 12 tv channels worked, but 10 were in German (they offer 40 channels—this has nothing to do with the channels they tell you in advance they can’t get, these are the ones they offer but weren’t working). There is no maintenance person or manager before 9 or after 5. Bathroom was more of a wet room. Water temperature and pressure were inconsistent during the same shower. No working space in the bedroom or bathroom. Breakfast was disorganized and two of the breakfast ladies were unprofessional and irritating. Asked reception for a North American adapter. They gave me one for the UK. Asked again and they said they didn’t have one (that’s after two trips to reception). Receptionist was clueless when asked for a beach bed or restaurant recommendation. A very disappointing and uncomfortable two days. Will not return. Ever. Will never recommend.

Pleasant stay

Nice hotel in good location. Staff friendly and rooms small but nice. A kettle in the room but no tea or coffee sachets. The swimming pool was too dirty to use (cloudy and with sand) and mostly in the shade. Location good near the beach and the old town. Of course this makes it noisy - light sleepers might need earplugs!

Room spotlessly clean, comfortable beds and choice of pillows! Fabulous breakfast. Location perfect.
Only thing that let the room down was lack of usable storage space for clothes. Large wardrobe but only a few hangers and no drawers large enough to put clothes in.

This is my second trip to the Atrium Ambiance Hotel and it didn't disappoint. The room was great and the hotel is in a good location, close to the beach and not too far from the centre of Rethymno. All staff were charming and helpful and I would like to say a special thanks to the bar staff Sissy and Nikos who were really lovely and looked after us every evening. Would definitely recommend it to family and friends.

Pros:
-The Dutch receptionist is the biggest asset of this hotel! She was so nice and helpful!
-Clean hotel and modern enough
-Plenty of sunloungers available all the time
-best fresh orange juice and tzatziki I ever had
-good poolside cocktails

Cons:
- The waiting staff are very rude. Especially the tall blonde lady. She needs to remember this is a hotel restaurant not an army canteen.
- the room and bathroom are tiny. I booked a superior room. There is barely any room to move in the bathroom. The shower is good and spacious though.
- food is only ok. Nothing special and just a few dishes to choose from. We did find something to eat though every night.
- desserts are poor but there was watermelon at breakfast and dinner.
- cleaners always forgot to give us 2 large bathroom towels and would just leave 1 large and 2 small towels. We asked reception to give us another towel one night and they had none..very annoying as it happened almost every day.

Nice hotel with pool close to the beach

Nice hotel with pool close to the beach. Staff were really friendly, room was modern and also clean.
We had bed and breakfast and, being British, found that it was targeted at European guests. There were a large variety of continental options while the cooked breakfast was of an okay quality.
We had a great stay though and was a fantastic hotel, would definitely recommend!

Rethymno the original Venician Butique city!

I go 2s a year in Retymno for my work! It's perhaps my favorite city in Crete the unique is the beach in the city ! There is a new major Importance archeological region could Elefterna with a tremendous museum close to Arcade Monastery!

Hotel in great position, close to beach and town

Had a ovely stay here. Staff are all very friendly and helpful and the hotel is spotlessly clean and the food is really good with something for everyone and the pool bar snacks are great at lunchtime if you can't be bothered to move! The hotel is fairly quiet with entertainment every other night but it was so close to town there is always plenty to do. Swimming pool area is well kept, plenty of sunbeds and although the sun is gone from the pool by around 4pm, it is quite a welcome relief! Rooms are clean and well kept and beds are comfortable!

Havde booket exec suite med jacuzzi og med vin og champagne serveret på vær ved ankomst. Suiten var ikke klar på check in tidspunktet pga problemer med jacuzzien. Da vi fik suiten efter noget tid var der ikke hverken vin eller champagne og glas som beskrevet. Jacuzzien virkede stadig ikke (gammel model uden instruktioner) og den kunne ikke varme. På anden dagen fik vi en flaske og noget frugt. På 3. dagen virkede jacuzzien stadig ikke efter en tekniker udefra havde været forbi. Vi anmodede derfor om et andet værelse med jacuzzi, som vi så først fik på 4. dagen. Vi skulle selv anmode om kompensation og tale med hotwlmanageren inden der skete noget. De til ød ikke noget af sig selv hvilket vi forventer når tingene ikke er i orden. Hotelmanageren var til dels imødekommende med et ekstra vær vi kunne bruge på 4. dagen og en 20 mins gratis massage. Den fik vi dog forlænget til 45 min. Alt i alt et ok hotel men forventede noget mere imødekommenhed og initiativ til at kompensere for at tingene ikke var i orden på den dyreste suite hotellet.

Struttura ben tenuta pulita e silenziosa ottima per una bella vacanza di relax,personale super cortese,mia figlia ha avuto problemi con un virus intestinale la metre' di cui non ricordo il nome e stata superlativa con tutto lo staff,ogni giorno chiedeva delle condizioni, facendo preparare un pasto apposta per la dieta data dal medico dell' hotel .
Cosa dire se divessi tornare a rethymno non avrei alcun dubbio a tornare in questo hotel .io darei anche una stellina in piu ..grazie per averci fatto sentire quasi a casa

Sehr leckeres Frühstück sowie Abendbuffet. Die Regelung mit der Bezahlung der Getränke müsste nochmal überarbeitet werden. Man muss aktuell jeden Abend unterschreiben, wenn man die Getränke nach dem Aufenthalt zahlen möchte. Besser wäre es hier wenn sich das einmal im System für die Zimmernummer gemerkt werden würde.

Sehr schöne Zimmer - Reinigung, wenn gewollt, jeden Tag. Trotz einem Zimmer mit Stadtblick konnten ohne Lärm super schlafen.

Hotel sehr zentral und alles mit einem kurzen Fußweg zu erreichen.

Wir waren 8 Tage vor Ort und uns hat das Hotel wirklich gut gefallen. Das Essen war Abwechslubgsreich und sehr lecker. Es gab ein Vor-, Haupt- und Nachspeisenbuffet.

Zum Strand waren es 2 Minuten Fußweg und die Altstadt war 15 min entfernt.

Excellent rapport qualité prix

Un grand bravo pour la restauration que ce soit au petit déjeuner ou diner avec qualité et diversité. Grande chambre avec excellente literie et beau balcon. Excellente isolation phonique. Salle de bains demande une rénovation. Problème d'écoulement de l'eau de la baignoire non solutionnée.

To helt fantastiske netter på dette flotte hotellet. Vi har nå bodd her 4 år på rad, kommer tilbake år etter år, topp service, kjempe gode senger, en helt fantastisk frokost med alt du måtte ønske deg å spise. Middags bufeene er også helt utrolig bra. Bare synd at magen blir så fort mett. Personalet gjør alt de kan for at oppholdet skal gå din vei.

Très bon buffet repas et petit déjeuner. Un grand plus pour Susanna pour la qualité de son accueil à la réception . Elle fait k effort de parler votre langue. Un hôtel que je recommande sans problème.

Bel hôtel neuf avec piscine, à 2 min de la plage

Nous avons passé une semaine début octobre 2020 à l'atrium, en demi-pension, dans la suite executive avec grande terrasse et jacuzzi extérieur. Très belle chambre avec literie exceptionnelle (lit kingsize), salle de bain avec douche (rainshower) spacieuse et WC séparés. Peu de place, en revanche, pour ranger le contenu des valises.
L'hôtel est flambant neuf et dispose d'une très belle piscine avec plein de chaises longues et de matelas doubles.
Excellent petit déjeuner (buffet, mais covid oblige, sans self-service, idem pour le repas du soir).
Personnel adorable. Propreté irréprochable. La mer, la plage, loueur de scooters (Candy Cars, excellent service et excellent matériel) sont à 2 minutes à pied.
Séjour excellent et situation parfaite (surtout hors saison touristique car tout est àproximité). Le port vénitien et la vieille ville sont à 15-20 minutes à pied (ou 5 min en scooter).
Nous recommandons l'atrium !

Fantastisk opplevelse, akkurat 1 år siden sist på dagen. Servicen er en 10, de ansatte gjør en fantastisk jobb under disse Corona tider. Rommet er så rent og alt så flott. Kommer tilbake fra en tur til byen å der ligger det gave fra hotellet, snaks , vann og vin. Frokosten er en drøm av alt du begjærer, her ble det bare å peke å de la det opp på fat til oss. FANTASTISK 👍💙🇬🇷

Im Großen und Ganzen ein schönes Hotel mit sehr freundlichem Personal und in guter Lage. Im Zimmer ließ sich die Balkontür nicht verschließen und die Touch-Bedienung der Klimaanlage ist nach 2 Tagen ausgefallen, wobei hier mit einer Fernbedienung schnell Abhilfe geschaffen wurde.

Auf Halbpension kann man getrost verzichten, komplizierte Umsetzung aufgrund der Corona Beschränkungen mit langen Wartezeiten, eine kleine Auswahl und geschmacklich kein Genuss.

À 1 min de la plage et peut-être 15-20 de la vieille ville. Un peu loin de la station d’autobus. Personnel très sympathique, buffet très varié, belle piscine et grande proximité avec la mer. Selon la chambre, cela peut être un peu bruyant, mais avec la climatisation on dort bien!

Hyvä sijainti rannan ja palveluiden lähellä. Hyvä ruoka sekä aamupalalla että illallisella. Buffan ruoat vaihtuvat joka päivä joten ruoka ei käy tylsäksi. Loistava ja palvelualtis henkilökunta. Erittäin rauhallinen allasalue josta löytyy aina tilaa - ja mikä parasta, ei lapsia!

sehr gutes Hotel in Strand- und Altstadtnähe

Das Hotel macht von außen und innen einen neuwertigen und äußerst gepflegten Eindruck. Unser geräumiges schönes Zimmer wurde jeden Tag früh sehr gut gereinigt, Es gab ein reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet.Spiegelei, Waffeln usw. wurden frisch gebraten.
Besonders die Damen im Frühstücksraum (auch alle an der Rezeption) möchten wir besonders loben. Wir waren schon in vielen Hotels, aber so liebenswerte Menschen haben wir dort noch nicht erlebt. Viele liebe Grüße! Der Strand ist ca. 100 Meter entfernt und sehr lang und schön mit schöner Strandpromenade. Die Altstadt von Rethymon ist gut fußläufig erreichbar und mit vielen kleinen Gassen , Bars und Cafes ein Erlebnis. Kreta sowieso!

Het hotel werd recent gerenoveerd en zit nu in frisse wit en lichtgrijze kleur. Vlakbij het strand maar ook eigen pool met terras en bar. Vriendelijk personeel. Ruime heldere kamers met terras. Ontbijt en diner in buffetvorm. Lekker en ruime keuze.

Hyggeligt hotel med det flinkeste personale

Hyggeligt hotel og dejligt tæt på stranden. Personalet var super flinke og hjælpsomme. Kunne godt ligge lidt tættere på byen, men man kunne tage en bus et par stop, hvis det var. Byen var utrolig hyggelig med en lille lystbådehavn og små hyggelige smalle gader med søde restauranter.
