If it weren’t for Ahmad we would have left this hotel on the first stay, the manager is an arrogant and greedy person who wanted to exploit situations . Only the receptionist Ahmad was a true kind human and never made us feel like less. He guided and helped us through out our stay. Truly people like him are needed. Must say he made our stay perfect even if we had to face some challenges there

This is my thirds time staying at this hotel and I wouldn’t change it for any other one. Rooms are so spacious and clean. Rooms needs some small updates but overall it’s excellent! The front desk and everyone else that works there are amazing and helpful.

Avoid Room 105.

Even though the hotel’s website claims rooms were renovated, room #105 (Standard Double Room) is dated and is very different from the pictures. It’s literally a soulless aged room with no décor/art (which you see in the photos but not in the room).

Things that were advertised were not actually there: hand soap, bathrobe, minibar, and power sockets near the bed (there was only one socket which was taken by the floor lamp).

CONS:
1) The heating system was not working properly (it was a cold January) and I had to wear a winter jacket inside. The heat was set to a maximum 30C (86F) but it felt like 18C (64F).
2) The room faces a lounge with loud music going until 3:00 – it actually didn’t bother me, but it could be a deterrent for others.

PROS:
1) Location! It’s in the middle of everything – shops, cafes, and bars withing – right off the vibrant pedestrian İstiklal Avenue.
2) A rooftop dining room with free breakfast.
3) Friendly and welcoming staff.

The hotel is located very close to Istiklal street, known for its night life. It is also very close to public transport, Taksim undergrand, where you could visit anywhere in Istanbul from there. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and sound-prooved to prevent street noise entering the room

Staff here were amazing honest, nice, and helpful. We stayed in the king suite and loved the room. We can see some of the other rooms and they can be very small but ours was perfect. Would definitely stay again. So close to takisim square. All food, shopping, and bars right outside.

We had a mixed experience at this hotel. The location was excellent—very convenient for getting around. However, our initial room was quite small and not what we expected. After speaking with the staff, we decided to pay for an upgrade to a suite, which was much more spacious and comfortable. The suite had everything we needed and made our stay much more enjoyable.

The biggest letdown was the breakfast. It was just okay—not bad, but nothing special either. It could definitely use more variety and better quality.

Overall, if you’re staying here, I’d recommend considering a suite for a more comfortable experience. The location is great, but don’t expect much from the breakfast.

Stayed for 5 nights with family including kids. The area around the hotel is loud. The hotel building itself has a cafe on the ground floor with extremely loud music going late into the night. Some staff were friendly and nice, the manager however was rude and full of himself. Also, the breakfast is below average with stale /leftover items. The only good things was that the rooms being suites were big and spacious.

Excellent location except that the cars are not able to reach the hotel destination but the staff is super nice and they help you out with the luggage. A very convenient area for the shopping street, a short walking distance to the metro station and the taxis. The rooms are really spacious and clean but the amenities are not wow. The hotel has a restaurant with a 24/7 room service but the breakfast was not wow.
But all in all price wise, it was convenient for a tourist to stay in.

Room is huge and very spacious. Big comfortable bed. Location is also great, very convenient as it’s just beside Taksim. Service staff are very helpful.

Only issue is that it’s along the rows of restaurants and bars, which played till 4 in the morning. Not recommended if you are a light sleeper as it was very noisy even with the windows closed.

Great Stay in Taksim

Convenient location, just off Istiklal Avenue, near Taksim Square. Room was spacious with a very comfortable bed, nice bathroom and decent furniture. Staff members were friendly and helpful, especially the breakfast crew. Breakfast was very good and served in a rooftop lounge with amazing views of Topkapi Palace, the Hagia Sofia, Sultanahmet (Blue) Mosque, Sultan Sulaimaniye Complex, and Galata Tower, among others. My only complaint is that my room smelled of smoke. I had a wonderful stay all the same.

I stayed for 3 nights. the hotel location is quite good being next to Isteklal street and 10 minutes walk to taksim square. The hotel is surrounded by shops. It also got next door a small grocery shop as well .The hotel is quite clean with nice ambiance. The staff are super nice, especially the restaurant chef, Zohreh, she was always caring about the food and tried to make best for the breakfast.

Avoid this hotel if possible. Astonishingly unclean room. The carpet had large stains.The room was not vacuumed. The bathroom and shower were full of mold, mildew, and fungus and had not ventilation. The bathroom mirror was cracked and there were water and soap scum marks on all surfaces including the sink and soap bottles. Many light fixtures were missing light bulbs. I will be uploading photos of the room or sending them to Expedia Customer Support. The breakfast was nothing like what was shown in the photos. The location however is great - right off Istiklal street which also means it does get a little loud at night, but that is to be expected. There is a 24hr front desk attendant.
I am shocked that this hotel is listed on Expedia with a \"Very Good\" rating. Truly disappointed.

My stay was pretty comfortable, and the hotel is pretty enough, it has everything I needed. As other people mentioned, the room was very small, which is not surprising given that it is in the old part of Istanbul surrounded by tiny streets and a lot of small businesses. It is basically a renovated old building. The location is great: close to the subway, to the tram, to the main business street, etc.

Unlike my experience with other businesses in the city, the staff was really good and helpful to me, specially Sultan in the reception desk.

great location, family suite and junior suite are spacious unlike the standard tiny room. you need to turn off the wifi in your phone then on to be able to use it properly most of the time after you go out and back to the hotel. staff are great and helpful. Breakfast is poor compared to a 4 star hotel. some noises from downstairs and the streets at night, depending on the room location. But will definitely go back.

Great hotel near all the action

The location is PERFECT if you want the lively part of town with hundreds of restaurants and shops within a couple of meters. The shops are both local and high-end. Easy access to all forms of public transport and very safe (like the whole of Istanbul). The hotel itself needs a little attention in some parts, but it is clean, rooms are huge and the price good.

Checking in was smooth and efficient. The front desk was very polite and helpful. They do not issue extra keys to the room so people are forced to use the doorbell if companions are already in the room. The problem was the doorbells were quite loud and could be heard clearly from our room. Some guests had kids who rang the doorbell multiple times which could be disturbing late at night.
The room was nice and spacious. The beds and pillows were in excellent condition. The problem lay with housekeeping. The area rug was not cleaned with particles from previous guests and stayed there the whole duration of our stay. She comes to the room everyday but did not notice that the drain of the tub was not working properly. She also did not replace the tea we consumed in our room nor the toilet paper until we complained to the front desk. One afternoon, the housekeeper came in while we were there, she did nothing to clean the toilet except to replace the towels. This for me was our biggest disappointment in the hotel service. Breakfast was basic and did not have much variety but it was not that bad.
The neighborhood is vibrant with excellent proximity to shops and restaurants, a stonesthrow away from Istiklal and 10 minute walk from Taksin square.

The hotel has a very convenient location close to Istiklal and taxim square but is a vey basic hotel. The staff is excellent. But the House keeping is pretty bad. We had to get the towels changed as the one they provided were torn. Dealing with the staff here was an absolute nightmare! The check in time was very long. As a result, they upgraded me to a suite(their offer, not my request) for what I thought was my entire 5 day. 2 days later they called me and said I had 10 minutes to check out of the suite and move to my original room. This obviously upset me. Also, the staff continuously explicitly asked for tips making me very uncomfortable. Furthermore, beware of the visitor policy! My good friend who lives in Istanbul met me at the hotel before lunch. As we were getting on the elevator, we were stopped and told that if he stays longer than 10minutes there’s an additional guest charge of 25 Euro each night. I explained the visit would be short as we were heading out for lunch. The staff member then said it was fine, but went on to say that only 1 guest can be allowed to visit the room each day. I begin to express my disapppointment with the policy and my overall experience with the hotel. I was literally told that these policies actually help both myself and the hotel because-1.I could be doing something illegal in my room with other guests, and they want to prevent that. And 2. A couple of years ago someone was murdered by a guest at a different hotel and the police couldn’t identify the assailant, so they are protecting me incase someone murders me. Yes, they literally used those exact words, to both my friend and I- unbelievable!! Don’t get fooled by the pictures, this place was a DISASTER.

I have problem with the room they put me in, the a/c wasn’t working, Robin the manger is great, he tray to solve the problem but ended up moving me to a new room, that’s what I saw that If you are a solo traveler this may not be the best place, they will put you in small room next to the elevator, the new room was way better then the fist one, so I got lucky thanks to he a/c problem, also be as were that if you bring some to your room they will charge you a extra 100tl

I booked 2 rooms 4 adults and 2 child. they asked me to pay for kids 50 Euro.
Last night, I asked them for late check out and I am ready to pay for extra hours but they told the hotel is fully booked.
Really, they are not professional and not cooperating.
in addition, my father was coming to Istanbul.and I asked for a room, also they told me is fully booked.
Breakfast is very limited, Omlite is extra charge !!!

we went there to take our room which we fully paid for 4 night s , after we waited 2 hours , we found no rooms available as the rooms have conditioning problems and water falling through ceiling
they promised us to fix tomorrow and we will take our rooms , and take us to a very dirty and terrible hotel for one night
we went next day to receive our rooms , we waited in reception for 45 min again , and they are saying every time 5 min and we will give you room
we couldn't take it any more and left both hotel and they didn't refund us until now

Comfortable hotel right in Taksim Square!

The hotel staff was excellent. Upon seeing my family and our luggage, they updated us to a family suite with no extra cost.
The staff was very hospitable and helped with our luggage and other questions we had regarding the area and our stay.
The hotel was close to local restaurants, shops and the metro station.
We had a pleasant and comfortable stay with our 2 year old.

Maybe the only good thing about the hotel is that it is very close to the strip & the hotel staff are kind. The cons would be that every night before I go to sleep and every morning when waking up I would constantly hear fights outside my window which was very scary being a girl alone. Hidden treasure of a hotel

The staff was exceptionally gracious and accommodating. Hotel lobby was staffed 24 hours a day, and there was always someone on duty who spoke English. Security was the best I have ever seen, but this is my first hotel stay in Istabul, so I can't say if this was exceptional, or more of a norm for this location. But, with a relatively small number of rooms, it was no doubt easier to know who was a guest and who might be in the building without good reasons. Room was very relaxing and quiet, unless I opened the windows.

The breakfast buffet was amazing the chef was a very hygienic person. It was a very secure hotel to stay at. Our room was very clean the sheets smelt very nice. It was in the centre of everywhere so transport to every part of Istanbul was possible. The price I paid for the hotel was a very good deal. I will recommend it to everyone. The staff was very helpful at directing us to places.

it was nice hotel in nice area but there is no manager in the hotel and the electric is cut every day and the last day there is no hot water in the bathroom and no heater work and the weather was -4c, so we could not take a shower before go to the airport

Our vacation in Istanbul

We were a group of 6 (senior Citizen!) and we loved the hotel, best location and very clean. Nice and helpful staff. One of my friend daughter had recommended Misafir 8 Suites to us and we will recommend it to more friends.

We had a great journey in Istanbul. Especial thanks to Mostafa and Hussain who were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and comfortable.It was near everything. The only problem was the breakfast witch was almost the same everyday .

I Do Not recommend to stay here.

Terrible staff, no service what so ever.
Historical hotel that need an update. I asked for a different room, the staff pretend to scroll his mouse for a second and tell me his has no room available.
Breakfast is cheap and terrible, very little choice and very small portion as if they are afraid of wasting the food. Breakfast come out on plate wrapped in plastic wrap as if it was prepared the night before.

I thought i had a deal for $80 for a historical hotel by the water, but i would rather pay more elsewhere.
