The hotel was very clean, the staff were amazing and incredibly friendly. They took great care of my family, especially my elderly father. He felt very comfortable, and the team went above and beyond to help him throughout the stay.
We had to extend the trip by two extra days, and the hotel handled everything smoothly—they were so kind and accommodating.
The location is perfect—flat, easy to access, and close to shops, restaurants, and the main square. If you’re looking for a place without hills and with great walkability, this is it.
They also offer a shuttle service from the airport at a reasonable cost, which was actually cheaper and more reliable than local taxis.
Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone traveling with family or elderly guests. We’re truly grateful for their hospitality!

Pros: Property is located few mins walking distance from Istiklal Street and from Taksim Square. Room was decent size and clean.
Cons: We paid for a room with kitchen but ended up in a room without a kitchen. On inquiring more details regarding the room with kitchen, we were told it has few cookware but we have to get our own plates, glasses, utensils and that is if the room was available. We paid for the breakfast option but was told that it wasn’t the case on their end, so we ended up calling Expedia multiple times for assistance in getting that worked out. Long story short we did end up getting breakfast but it was room service rather than the breakfast buffet as shown in the pictures. Room service is pretty much the same few items every morning severed around 10am, we had to request earlier breakfast due to planned activity but the earliest was 9:30am. You make your own tea and you are expected to get your own water for it. Hotel seem to have power outage issues quite often, so plan accordingly. Toilet had back flow issues and we had to ask them to fix it. Anyhow, we booked this hotel because of the kitchen and breakfast and both were let down. We are pretty frequent travelers to Istanbul, but this time we were extremely disappointed. Staff is not very helpful as compare to the other hotels we have stayed in.
Look for other options, there are plenty close by and confirm with the hotel on the kitchen, breakfast and other amenities when booking.

When the people in the upper floor walk you hear their foot steps. This is the only dis advantage they have. Also note that they domt have buffet but they serve a humble breakfast at your room. The rest are awesome. The location is literaly next to everything. Night life, food, drinks and all the rest

First i went to hotel it was ok as they tols we have breakfast its was so bad breakfast dont belive, and when we went out we come back at 16:35 the room was not cleen they did not chenge the sheets and all from morning breakfast was on the table till 16:35 and i call them why u dont cleen the room he answer me she is cleened, his mean the one who respsndible for it , but i feel that he laid, when he come to room said now u are at room we cant cleen it and he give some signsl with eyes to cleener and they took the morning brekfast they leave , one thing moor our infront of room was indian family they put there garbage in front of our room in the moring at least tjey did not took that .
2. I dont sugest for the family coz the place where the hotel is most call girls are there .

Run down hotel in a very poor condition. Rooms are not sound proof and neither are they clean. Checking in was awkward with the staff member not saying a word. Bathrooms had sinks that did not drain well and hot water kept running out.

Good location, terrible everything else

Upon arrival, there was no reception available. I had to wait for nearly an hour before someone showed up and told me the rooms in next2 were sold out (although the booking was confirmed) and they will move me to another close similar hotel owned by the same owner.
The other hotel was 5 minutes walk, although I booked a king bed junior suite room I was initially given a less than standard twin room. I had to complain several times till they accept giving me a room with double bed.
Nonetheless, the room was terrible, hair every where, non functioning toilet and sink tap, the bath towels had several hairs from different people. This hotel clearly doesn't properly clean or sanitise the rooms between stays.
Room was on the forth floor with no lift.
Walls are thin, you can here every chat in the floor.
I would recommend to stay away from this hotel unless you have no other choice.

The hotel considers a one bed small room with a toilet (with jacuzzi) as a suite!

As an ex frequent visitor of next2 i booked thinking that it is still the same. Apparently the definition of suite is not clear neither for Next2 not for Hotels.com (whom I blame as well). I had issues during my check in and I had to settle in a room because I was too tired to check other places, which the manager offered.

In a previous year when I used to book a suite, I used to get a suite as in pictures, but now this was Not the case at ALL.

The location is good, the staff tried to make it up for me by “better” treatment because of the troubles when checking in... they are a nice and kind family inspite of the problems that happened.

a note to new visitors: some of the rooms are tooooo small, even without a wardrobe or space for luggage.
The rates for these tiny rooms are worth reviewing.. the pictures aren’t really reflective of reality.

Also for covid19 testing, I was offered fo be tested in the hotel, but weirdly I still didn’t get a receipt from the laboratory, watch out this too if you get your tests reimbursed and need receipts from the lab (not the hotel), as the case should usually be.

This is the worst experience I have had with hotels.com the room listed is not available and most of the facilities and services listed are not available. Paid for breakfast included but no breakfast available. The rooms are filthy and you can hear your naighburs whisper in the room next door. Since we arrived after curfew hours we had no other option than to spend a night in this so called hotel. Checked out first thing the next morning. Its a disgrace that a hotel like this can be listed on hotels.com

First of all u get taking to inside office not even a lobby and the owner start talking to you like you have no other choice and don’t forget if u take their Shuttle bus u get charge 100 euro extra than u go to your room and you can’t sleep from the bad smell that comes out of the bathroom and the load noise that comes from other peoples room and the breakfast is a big 0 never again apparently it’s a family business and they get Offended if u tell them your going to a different hotel.

Very safe spot located beside a police station.. super convenient 10min walk from Taksim metro and Point hotel (where the coach bus shuttle from new IST airport) and not far 15 to 20min walk from Galata bridge and popular tourist attractions. Reception was nice and helpful. Clean rooms quiet place with reasonable price.. highly recommended.

The hotel was under going renovation. It was boarded up everywhere, half finished. Had a quirky charm but very disappointing. The tv didn’t répond to remote, had to unplug from tv to switch off. No bedside lamps. The base of shower was mouldy.

We stayed here for 2 nights. The location was superb only a short walk from iskeklal street and still peaceful. There are plenty of restaurants nearby. Its right next to the police station. The staff was very helpful in all regards specially mr Ugur (duty manager). The suite we booked had 2 bathrooms which was a plus. Overall it was wonderful.

We love Istanbul and Hotel Next2 is very authentic

We booked the hotel on a whim cause the room configuration suited our family of 5 adults. We had to cancel the first night as our flight into Turkey was overbooked and our host at Hotel Next2 offered to upgrade us and keep our room for the second night. When we realised where the hotel is, we were pleasantly surprised as it is an area we know well (and this area of Istanbul is like a rabbit warren and can be intimidating due to the many merchants seeking customers and it is close to the night club area). Mustafa, our host met us at arrival at the hotel and is so pleasant. He put us in the family penthouse suite which by Istanbul standards is very large with a view of the water and outdoor balcony that allowed us to dry our washing. We were very comfortable. Our transfers to and from the airport were arranged for us and when I left items in the room, Mustafa brought them to me at the taxi just before we left. Great service. Thank you.

The hotel is located near Isteklal avenue and is in walking distance to Taksim square and Galata tower. There is a police station next to it and it provide extra sense of security. The hotel management are very friendly and helpful. The hotel provides transport to and from the airport and I strongly recommend to use the service and It is not easy to find the hotel.

You will not get the room that you paid for. Instead you will get a really bad dirty room, and then they keep trying to move you to smaller rooms. You have to be extra quiet and are not allowed to go up and down the stairs after 9pm. Staff was very unfriendly and made me feel really uncomfortable and unsafe during my stay. Beds were made but the bed sheets was never changed. Our room did not have curtains and it was boarded up with wood. The hotel is located in a alley way next to a police station. The picture of the hotel is very decieving.

This hotel has a great location right by the shopping pedestrian street in Beyoğlu and close to Taksim Square and within 15 min walk of Galata Tower and Karakoy. To where the big touristy things are like Hagia Sophia and the Topkapı Palace that’s an easy ride on the public transit. They have 24 reception and everyone was very friendly we even had tea with the owner which was a very nice touch. Our room was large and clean and the shower was hot and our bed was comfortable. We recommend this family owned hotel. Best part was that the Havabüs Otobus which is a very reasonably priced and convenient way to travel to and from the airports is close to Taksim Square and that’s a 10 min walk from the hotel.
There’s a police station just at the corner from the hotel when you come in from the shopping street. There are barriers around the police station as they seem to be doing construction and even though it looks like it’s closed off they always leave a walkway for pedestrians to get through and for the 4 days we were there we didn’t hear any noise coming from the site which was great.
Try all the little restaurants in the area they are fantastic, we even got our hair and beards cut from the barber around the corner from the hotel and he did a great job.

Excellent location as it is only two minutes walk from everything! Yet, it is also very quiet, very safe and very clean/comfortable hotel. The Managers are amazing, very friendly and personable. The rooms are nice, modern, and clean. My son and I stayed here for two nights as we passed through on our backpack trip. We were very comfortable and very happy with the service and the quality. Mustafa and Mr. Otuun are kind and helpful with arranging transports or providing information. I would stay here again.

Good location if you want to be in the mix

Pros - Staff very helpful, room clean and tidy.
Cons - The street it self is slowly under going restoration and like all back streets its bleak, hence the hotel stands out like a shining beacon
There is a Police station at the end of this short street and plenty of noisy activity early morning
The street is cut off at both ends to traffic, so drop off and collection can be an adventure late at night

Hotel location is very near to everywhere. Transportation is so easy. Nearby there is a police station so you will feel comfy & safe. Hotel staff are superb especially Mr Okan. He is very helpful & kind. Our queries are all being answered & he will do his very level best to assist us. Bravo Mr Okan. I choose Next 2 hotel for my last day in Turkey , then i found that there was corrected choice I pick , the location just very easy to walk to the shopping area , I got a warm welcome from Mr Onka provided a very good in detail of Site visit 's around Taksim area and advise me most of details he know , Luckily I got room up grade to the 5th floor with is should be family room , i got a large room probably around 35 SqM. with the view of Bosporus and Mosque , comfort bed and bathroom is so 4 stars , the location at the first time is hard to reach out then you found the right way and get used to it then very easy to walk around , the hotel surrounding by indy and cool cafeteria , many of antique store and street art , for the price I paid this is the best value of my money I paid ion turkey . highly recommend !

The hotel has a great location. At waking distance of Taksim Square, good restaurants, but at the same time in a quiet alley next to a Police Station which add value regarding safety.

The staff were great and made us feel like home. we had tea with them a few times and had good times chatting and laughing. We were upgraded to a bigger room for free, which was lovely of them. breakfast was superb. Room very clean. staff very welcoming and friendly. We will definitely return in the near future! The housekeeper is so sweet.

we were stressing about our very early morning flight which meant we had to leave for the airport at 4.30am but Mustapha made it so much easier for us.

The hotel was great, amazing location- only a few steps away from istiklal.

The area is also very safe and quiet being right next to a police station.

Additionally the staff is really friendly and helpful- especially Mr. Mustafa Kanat.

Rooms are spacious and flexible, well suited for families of different sizes.

Definitely would recommend and would probably return to the same hotel given the chance.

Steps from Istiklal Street

I am a regular visitor to Istanbul and always make the Next 2 Hotel my accommodation of choice.
It's close proximity to Istiklal Street, with its many bars, restaurants, cinemas, shops and coffee shops, make it the perfect location to stay when in Taksim!
That, together with the excellent breakfast and welcoming staff make it my home from home!

Four star location! Very basic amenities

There are two things about this hotel. Its location and the person who runs it. First, hotel is located maybe 50 meters from Istiklal Street. It is right at the boundary where five star location transitions to what I would say 2-3 start location. I would say you get all the benefits of 5 star location at a discount. Second, the owner/manger Mustafa is your man. He will be there to greet you, show you to your room and take care of whatever else you need.

Now the critique.

Hotel facilities are very basic. Rooms are not well insulated so you will hear people outside and people outside will hear you. We had a baby and probably disturbed many people at night and similarly were waken by other loud guests late into the night.

Breakfast is very plain and unremarkable. You will probably eat first, many be the second day and then start looking for places outside.

Bottom line: Great place if you don't care about being right on a main street and are OK with plain basic services. Based on my experience, it should be discounted 40-50% compared to well known hotel chains (Novotel etc.)

it was a great location and excellent hosting by Mr Mustafa, very convenient for istiklal street and as well as the beyoglu and the historic peninsula of Topkapi Palace and Hagia Sofia ,just walking distance and subway ,buses easy to reach, but the hotel manager Mr Mustafa will do anything to make you comfortable and even will guide you to the best and cheap barber shop or good restaurants around ,thank you Mustafa ,my new home at istiklal street

Home from Home

I am a regular visitor to Istanbul and stay in Hotel Next2 frequently. The warm welcome, together with the excellent location - it is a 2 minute walk to Istiklal Cad where there is shopping heaven as well as many restaurants and bars.
The hotel is clean, with a very good complimentary breakfast; Mustafa and his staff take good care of you during your stay and I look forward to visiting again in the near future.

Небольшой, комнфортный отель в самом сердце Таксима, района притяжения любителей кипящей жизни большого города, богемных баров и отличных ресторанов. Сложно поверить, что оттуда можно шагнуть в этот тихий оазис домашнего тепла и уюта.
Даже в самый час пик есть множество вариантов как добраться на общественном транспорте в исторический центр Стамбула, и займёт это не больше получаса, что для Стамбула с его пробками сущая ерунда

Great hotel with a remarkable staff

This hotel was such a gem to find. I frequently vacation in Istanbul and moving forward this will be the hotel I stay at - truly my home in Istanbul.

The hotel room was spacious and clean which are the only things I care about. The building is older but honestly with the simple renovations done...it is exactly what you need. I thing more nothing less. The neighborhood is GREAT and filled with small cafes and restaurants and many funky little shops while being close to Istiklal street, Taksim square, and Taksim metro station - meaning any major site or area is literally minutes away from you by metro.

The staff - all three of the guys that work there and I believe own the hotel - are wicked. Search for information for you, make sure you're well aware of things in the area and in the city, and genuinely make you feel at home. Be it by being super friendly whenever they see you or inviting you for a cup of tea outside with them and their friends.

This is the place I'll be staying at next June and definitely will recommend to my friends.

Close to Taksim Sq. and one short block from Istiklal Avenue. Also within a walking distance from Galata Tower and bridge. Next2 hotel was okay: clean and well maintained. Room was big. Breakfast was okay. Menu did not change. Very good for the price.
