Bed very tiny in Executive room, TV channels very limited. Could do with a Smart TV bigger screen. Change of furniture in lounge could add value , as it currently look outdated.

Breakfast very poor, staff attitude needs improving, it took 45mins for cooked breakfast to be served. No apology whatsoever, just staring at you like you are wrong to point out the obvious delay.

We had a really nice room; it was spacious, comfortable and witha good bathroom, including separate shower and bathtub. The decor is lovely and has a bit of an old colonial feel. However, this hotel has definitely seen better days. It could do with a bit of maintenance and modernisation to give it a new lease of life. The pool was terrible - very small, dirty and just not a great corner of the hotel plot.

The breakfast was nice, but you hvaeto cross the carpark to go to the bar/restaurant... not a major hardship but not pleasant when it is raining.

This was a short one-night stop for us as part of a bigger journey, so the hotel served it's purpose.

The property was not able to find my booking when I arrived at the check-in desk, at approximately 6pm. The property initially wanted me to rebook using their systems and pay again. It's the second time this has happened to me at this particular hotel. After many hours my booking was \"found\".

Clean with huge and most comfortable bed.
Allocated room quite noisy next to main road and outside airconditioning units or Generator.
Although pick up from airport booked and confirmed, no driver at airport and not a good start for a single travelling woman arriving at 22.00pm at night.

Room rented was in fact a small apartment which included a kitchenette with small fridge, microwave and cutlery. Apartment also had nice lounge and dining area. Bathrooms well appointed and although bedroom was nice, it was a bit small in relation to the rest of the apartment. Nice quite area and good wifi and breakfasts.

Staff service was slow and problematic. I reported a significant maintenance issue 4 days in a row and no action was taken until I had to escalate the matter to management (eventually professionally resolved).

The staff here is wonderful. They are extremely helpful. Leabile Themba arranged an airport shuttle, a late checkout and a ride to the currency exchange. The evening manager helped me with a sticky door lock (I was too tired after 30 hours of traveling to figure it out) I think kind and helpful characterize every staff person I have worked with.

Had a quick overnight trip at this hotel. Unfortunately, the room where we stayed, although very nice and clean, had a broken air-conditioning unit. By the time we were able to tell the reception, it was too late to change rooms, and they were unable to fix it. We had an extremely hot night and I was unable to sleep. Too bad, since the hotel has lots of other nice features.

My stay at Mondior was most enjoyable. The staff were friendly and so helpful. I also found the location very convenient to all the Gaborone attractions and each morning I looked forward to the lovely buffet breakfast. I would gladly return to the Mondior in future visits.

Room 312. Shower door does not close easily when user is in the shower. Soap dish hangs loose. Aircon insufficient for Gaborone. More complimentary bottled water must be made available to guests. One little bottle a night is insufficient.

Comfortable hotel with some extraordinary staff

The airline lost my luggage and the hotel staff bent over backwards to help me with logistical issues especially having the shuttle take me around to deal with the issue. Hotel is nice; rooms comfortable. Bed nice, which is always important to me. Only draw back was no toothbrush and toothpaste despite the little sign in the room indicating they would be available if you forgot--or, in my case, the airline lost my luggage.

Included breakfast at the News Cafe was surprisingly good.

Excellent lodgings convenient to Gaborone centre

A fine comfortable hotel. I remain shocked that I returned to my room mid-afternoon one day to find my ground floor window open (especially having just purchased a laptop!). It is hard for me not to consider this a major security breach, intentional or not. Otherwise, I consider the hotel the best city centre hotel in terms of location and comfort.

Central location, great for business trip.

One of the best things is the kitchenette which gives flexibility in eating. Being able to have some food in the fridge and use the microwave/toaster/kettle is great for a 5 day trip. But food is available at the News Cafe on the premises (walking) and at the variety of restaurants at the nearby River Walk shopping centre (1.5km drive).

Parking is safe and easy, and access to the centre of town is quick. For a business trip and hotel, this is perfect.

Nice, spacey rooms. Noisy air conditioning.
Kitchenette is good to have.
The running water from the tap is the fastest I have seen in my life. Hot water fills up the whole bath in about 1.5 minute.
The advertised pool is kind of smallish but still godd for a afternoon splash.

Home-style business travel.

While this is not a typical 4-star hotel, it does offer a perfect solution for a regular traveller. A week's business travel 2 or 3 times a year can get quite exhausting if you have to go out for every meal. But this hotel offers a kitchenette (microwave, fridge, toaster and kettle) so it is extremely convenient to be able to eat in the room. The rooms are huge and feel cool, light and airy - which is a necessity in the January heat in Botswana.

Newscafe food not tasty & service quite bad.cleaniness of the hotel very bad, on arrival till departure there were blood stains in the refrigerator. One would kill at least one cockcroach a day.service bad, hotel will supply one bottle of water whereas bookings were for two . However having said all of this, we were humbled by a warm welcome and they even changed the room to a better suite, so there's a room for improvement.

Excellent and friendly place

This is an excellently run hotel with very friendly staff that goes the extra mile. I was upgraded to a suite, which has king-size beds and is very quiet, as I like it. The hotel provides a free airport shuttle, not all do. Moreover, when my luggage did not make it from Johannesburg to Gaborone, I was given some cosmetics and again taken to the airport next day (in Botswana airlines do not deliver to hotels, the poor passenger has to return). Reception staff always gives advice with regard to sightseeing, calls game reserves and other places, and negotiates with them if necessary. You will need a car to get to the city centre or any other place, because Gaborone is not a compact city, but the hotels helps with everything. Great place!

I wasted my money and time at that hotel. First they charge P20.00 extra per night by staying, outside the P845.00 for the night. No one told me about when I checked in. I found out when checked out. Horrible service. 2.The maid don't replace the towels unless you asked for it daily. The front dest ladies talk about the guest every time they leave, how unprofessional. 3. We found yellow bugs in our room all over the counters. Of course we did report it and they told us someone will take care of it. No one came, we repeatedly report 3 times..no apology at all. Then they move us to the next room, still no apology or any compensation.. Really the worse hotel ever on the planet. I will never stay there or recommend it to no one at all. I will pay Gaborone sun P60 more for better hotel. The staff looks like they don't like their job or they were forced to do it. Who trained them? How did they get hired? Terrible, horrible attitude are words to describe it.

Beautiful hotel, clean, staff was very friendly.

Hotel is well kept, rooms are spacious and clean with modern conveniences. The hotel is conveniently located in the Gaborone. The News Cafe restaurant is very good. It is quiet and a very pleasant place to stay. I was most impressed with the size of the rooms, the size of the televisions and the over an above help from the staff. I will definitely stay there again.

I would not stay at this. Hotel again.because there are no facilities to make one confortable eg...Dstv channels were very very limited.having a shower was miserable as shower head was not working properly..we were told to move rooms due to their mainenance issues...to even worse conditions, hot water was available only in the morning.and the pool,is a small splash pool surrounded by tiny mosquitoes.so one can't enjoy a nap by the pool side after cooling off from the sizzling heat experienced in gabs.
