Hotel in general was dirty. We arrived early and asked what time we could check in and the front desk gal was sitting on a chair an snapped “check in ain’t till 3” Our amenities were empty once we did check in. Not a big deal. A lot of garbage all over. The bed was the best part of the stay. Definitely not worth $200 for one night.

The price did NOT match the quality of the hotel. We changed rooms 3 times because of dirty sheets and old liquor bottles left in the room. The lobby floors were slick with water and filthy. I tried to call multiple times throughout the day of our check in to reserve a crib for our little one and could not get through to the front desk. They didn’t have any by the time we got there… When we arrived we learned there were no extra pillows and they weren’t receiving a shipment for 2 weeks. Also, the pool closed at 8 and that was the main reason we chose the hotel was so our children could enjoy swimming. The staff we spoke with were very nice, but not helpful for what we needed. I always try to stay at Holiday Inn Express if one is available, but this one is an absolute no-go for us again. $156 of dirt and disappointment.

This property needs to be updated badly. The bathtubs looked to be dirty but were badly stained. One of our rooms, the shower had hair in it still. The refrigerator didnt keep items very cold. The pool area was dirty and the pool had things floating in it such as hair, silly sting, dead mosquitoes(inside pool). The was a piece of the pool that kept coming unhooked and the staff just said \"oh its fine.\" They would just pull the piece to the side of pool and put a wet floor sign over it. Breakfast was not very appetizing. Always out of cups, lids, no eggs except cheese omlets that were like rubber. There was food in the stairs the whole 2 days we were there. Staff lounging outside smoking during breakfast hours while items for breakfast ran out. This lasted an hour at one point.

After a horrible experience with the hotel in Louisville Kentucky that i had reservations with to stay for a concert .. it got double booked so my kids and I were stuck at 2am with nothing available in the area. I found this place and the reservation clerk was THE KINDEST AND MADE THE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE FROM THE NIGHT ALOT BETTER!
Room was aged but when you’re treated like he treated us, it really made up for it!

We did not have hot water in the shower during our stay. Staff was not helpful and was very rude due to this issue. They advised us that due to the full capacity of the hotel, not everyone can shower at the same time, so we either come back from our outing at noon and take a shower or we can cancel our reservation. We were with the kid and did not want to change a hotel or cut our prepaid Mammoth cave tour. We took a shower at the Loves gas station across, which is OUTRAGEOUS!! They should fix the issues, plumbing and customer service and learn how to talk to people. Breakfast on the second day... well they ran out of most of the food before 8 am already... We paid the full price for all and did not receive the service.

We booked last minute late at night after the our first accommodations were less than desirable and we were greeted and checked in promptly with great compassion. We travel with a service dog and everything was perfect. Breakfast was busy with lots of spring break travelers but they did a great job keeping up with cleaning and refilling the breakfast station. Overall very friendly and accommodating.

First of all, Holiday Inn Express is one of two hotels my wife and I prefer over any others. These two are slightly more expensive than some others, but the quality of the beds, staff, faclities, etc, and including the breakfasts, is usually worth it.

NOT THIS TIME: The gravy for the biscuits and gravy was cold - not \"not warm\", cold. The \"omelets\" were cool at best. After I trashcanned the first plate, I dug another off the bottom of the tray. It was slightly warmer, not warm, certainly not hot. The sausage patties were cold, and tasteless. Worst of all, the traditional highlight of the HI Express breakfast - the cinnamon rolls were also not even warm except on the very top. (They were still quite excellent after I took them to the room and ran them in the microwave for half a minute). Basically, today, 3/25/26, about 7:30, breakfast just wasn't worth it.

Very mixed bag, breakfast was great, but the room wasn’t super clean, hair in the tub, ladybugs all over the ceiling which was a bit weird. Towel shortage in the pool and then lack of fresh towels in the room. I’d stay again but wouldn’t be excited about it.

First room I was given, key didn’t work. Went back down to the front desk where they provided me with a new key. Back up to the 3rd floor and the family already staying in that room were woken by guests they were not expecting. The front desk had assigned me a room that was already occupied! Not a pleasant experience for either party at 2am!

Our room was decently clean when we arrived. The hallways were dirty and needed swept badly (the whole week). The window seals had dead bugs in them , like a lot of dead bugs. The breakfast was ok, but we could have dealt with a change in what was served day to day.... Everyday was the same breakfast. The last day finally had a different kind of muffin other than chocolate, so that was nice. Overall, we had a nice stay. Their coffee is really yummy. We would stay again. All of the staff was very kind and welcoming. We had a nice week.

The side door to the building (the emergency exit on the first floor) was always open so anyone from the outside could get in the building. I closed it more than once. The staff were great and friendly. Exercise area was great. Really appreciated the building was smoke free.

After a long day of traveling I was ready for a hot shower and discovered a clump of hair on the drain from previous guests. Also there were numerous water stains on the ceiling along with a whole in the ceiling from a previous water issue The pool had so much chlorine in it it burned your eyes as soon as you opened the door.

The lobby staff was great . Very friendly and offered great tips on things to do.
The room was not cleaned well however. The bathroom had hair in tub, used q-tip behind toilet and the nightstand had sticky water marks on it from drinks. Overall would go again if they spend a little more time cleaning.

We very much enjoyed our stay. Everything was what we needed. No complaints, staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was nice. We didn't know the area and were just driving around on a expedition of Americana! Not much to do around the hotel, but a freeway exit or two away go more options. We would stay again. We are just learning the area. We came down and explored Horse Cave City, Cave City, Mammoth Cave and Hidden River Cave. We loved our trip.

This property was horrible from the beginning. We arrived late and they had put us in a “no show” list so we no longer had our reservation. They already had a hold on our card. Then she had to make a new reservation for us but she had to call someone on the phone because she was new and there by herself at night. Then our card got charged again. After waiting to get in our rooms for an hour. We all go to our rooms to sleep and as soon as I layed down I started getting bit by bed bugs. I jump up and go downstairs to tell the front desk and she tells me that we can just go pile in the other room that we have all together. We had 7 people and 2 rooms. Then when someone gets there at 8am they could clean another room for us. This was at about 4:30am. There was no manager on site.

The guy at the front desk was condescending. The room was dirty. Staying on the ground floor the blinds didn’t work. Looked like some cheap ass shower curtain for the window curtain.We’ve been staying at Holiday Inn Express for years when on vacation and this was the absolute worst. We left at 5am. Couldn’t wait to get the hell out of there…

Asked for room near lobby or elevator since I use a walker Did that when I made reservation month ago. Got there and they gave me handicap room which was the furthest room from elevator! And I didn’t ask for. It was regular room with tub and 3 grab bars and seat. That’s not handicap and that far away from elevator! Do they think all handicap are in a motorized wheelchair to get to it???? Also gal called person in charge and she pretty much said take it or leave it. I’m IHG member and expected better
