At first glance, the room seemed fine, but it quickly became clear that it had not been properly cleaned. I found a used baby rag left behind the chair and blood drops on our bedding…completely unacceptable and honestly disturbing. Cleanliness should be the bare minimum, and this fell far below that standard.

I reported the issue to the front desk immediately. I was given new bedding and changed it myself. I wad told that photos had been taken and sent to management, and that I would hear back from them by a certain time the next day. That never happened. Asked for a partial refund so that we could get another room and was assured management would reach out to me. Never happened. Since then, I have made multiple calls over several days trying to resolve the situation and request a refund, but I have received no follow-up and no resolution.

The lack of cleanliness is bad enough, but the complete absence of customer service afterward made it even worse. Being ignored after raising a serious concern is incredibly frustrating. Blood on bedding is a health and safety issue and is reportable to the health department.

I would strongly caution others before booking here. There are plenty of hotels that take cleanliness and customer concerns seriously and apparently this is not one of them.

Staff was very friendly and welcoming when we interacted at the front desk and when passing staff in the hallways. Our room however was not cleaned throughly upon on arrival. The floors in the bathroom and entryway were sticky and the carpet was damp throughout the room. The carpet was so dirty that our socks became black after walking around the room for an hour. So much so, that we had to throw them all away. There were also several food stains on the chair in the room and the fridge was still full of old food from the previous guest. The window curtain had several brown stains and the outer most blankets on both beds had stain spots as well (threw those on the floor before sleeping). We checked in on a thursday evening then stayed 1 full and were only in the room for a few hours, mid-day and to sleep at night. When checking out saturday morning I mentioned the cleanliness issues with front desk. The staff member apologized about the conditions of the room and said they would let the custodians know so they could get it cleaned properly. I mentioned that the floor was so wet and dirty, the only reason I didn't ask for a new room was due to the minimal amount of time we would actually be spending in the room other than sleeping. Again, staff responded by saying they would make sure the room was cleaned after we left. Lastly, the pool had a lot of loose hair floating around and there was dirt or sand accumulating in the corners.

This was our first time visiting Mammoth Cave and this hotel was perfect. The breakfast was delicious, the staff is super friendly and you can’t beat the proximity to all the caves.

Everything was in really great shape. The rooms are well insulated from each other so the rooms are nice and quiet. Breakfast options were varied and tasty. The coffee was above average for a hotel. The pool offered my 9 year old a nice place to let off some steam. Overall, this is a great base of operations for a trip to Mammoth Cave National Park.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. We arrived very early and were able to get our room an hour before check in. The parking was easy and close to the building. Derek got us in quickly and apologized for not getting the two rooms closer. The pool was clean, but a little chilly. Breakfast was delicious. Stay here if you are going to Mammoth Cave!

Staff was friendly. The linens, floors, and room weren’t as clean as I’ve come to expect from the Hampton Inn chain. The tile and carpet floors in the room were very sticky, the towels and bed linens also had somewhat of a tacky feel. Although the ac filter appeared clean, the room had an underlying odor that smelled like it had previously been a smoking room. For the price I paid on a random Thursday night during off-season, compared to other similar properties I’ve booked in this price range, I was very disappointed in the quality of this stay.

There were a couple of issues with our (two) rooms. In one room there was significant leak in the drain under the sink with the P-trap likely caused by a clog in the main drain. It took the property a day to resolve it. The rooms have rolling 'barn doors' for the bathroom and closet. They are heavy and noisy. One came off the tracks. In one of the rooms the deadbolt was mis-aligned with the frame and would not extend-at all to fully secure the room. It was not due to a sagging door or closure issue (I tried). (Inexplicably?)The misalignment should have been noticed and fixed well be for I found it. Apparently no previous guest noticed it or communicate ted the problem. It was not fixed in our three night stay.

Visiting the area for a few days as a resting point on our way down to Nashville. We were so pleasantly surprised with this hotel stay! It was so clean, comfortable and in a perfect location to all of the local caves, mammoth cave and all the area activities. Everything is within a few minutes drive!
The breakfast was standard with somethjng for everyone and the staff was so friendly and helpful.
This is a well-kept hotel, very clean and right off the highway. Easy self parking. Looks like they are trying to develop this area with more restaurants and attractions. My family and I would definitely recommend and we are fairly picky about hotels.
If you’re going to Mammoth Cave area and want a clean, convenient and comfortable stay, this is the place!

Our room had just had the carpets cleaned and there was a sticky residue on the carpets. Our feet and shows both collected this residue and it was not a good feeling. Notified the front desk immediately. The manager never responded. Told the front desk both in the evening and morning. No response. Poor customer service.

The folks at the front desk were all very hospitable and helpful. There was some confusion about my bill because hotels.com did not communicate the changes I requested to my reservation (pro tip: it would have been significantly cheaper for me to make my reservation directly through the hotel rather than hotels.com but live an learn) and they were very patient and helpful and polite. Also, my child left his beloved stuffed animal behind after we checked out. The housekeeping staff made sure to bring it to the front desk and the front desk staffed called me to let me know we left it and made arrangements for us to get it back. I was so appreciative!
The hotel breakfast was decent (for hotel breakfasts). My biggest complaint with the hotel is that there was a musty odor in our room and the air quality wasn't great from the heater/cooling unit. Otherwise, it was tidy and met our needs.

I want to start off and say that the staff were super friendly and so I have no complaints at all about the people. But I’m honestly confused how this hotel has such high ratings. The whole place has a horrible smell. The carpets and floors in our room were so sticky, it really grossed me out. We only stayed a night so it wasn’t the worst but I would not have liked to stay for a longer period.
