Sweet sweet marina-side resort

Nongsa Resort is really lovely, and romantic and family friendly. Wonderful staff and great food. Awesome bar with pool table and a generally really cool atmosphere. Being by the water and the marina is gorgeous, and the hotel team are generally wonderful. I will be back! Great music too.

The rooms are quite dirty, with insects on the bed, and the sheets are noticeably unclean, showing visible yellow stains. There are also numerous insect eggs on the bathroom sinks. This level of cleanliness does not meet the standards expected of a 4-star establishment.

slightly dated facilities and food was sub par. going anywhere out of the resort requires a 30 minute drive on average. overall decent for a short stay but nothing too fancy. montigo resort was next door (about 10 min drive) which was good so we could visit their beach club and other facilities easily.

Beautiful Marina Bay

Beautiful resort stay by the marina. Had to travel further into the marina to the resort. Resort is a little run down.. can be better if it is more well maintained. Towels have stains. Hot water heater not working. Checked in at 6pm and room seems to be not ready.. waited for awhile before we were brought to our room. Air con in the room was not cool, thought maybe needed more time to get cooler but it was still warm.. hotel staff took 1hour then manage to rectify and helped us changed our room at midnight. Food was so-so. Overall a little pricey for what it’s worth.. still a good experience. Beautiful view by the marina.

Good: great setting, good design of lobby & restaurant, great sea breeze at all times, transportation reliable and professional, nice pool, friendly & helpful staff

Room for improvement: chalet rooms a bit old, all rooms need some paint and touch-up work, all closets quite dusty/dirty on arrival, not enough trash bins or bathroom floor mats, not enough hot water in showers, bathroom floors get very wet after showering/bathing, restaurant food quality/variety okay but food not kept very hot in warmers, fruit juices too watery, toaster not working well (and staff couldn’t fix problem), lots of oil from ships on beaches and rocks. Overall, resort looks great online, but in actuality, is somewhat rundown and not well-maintained, definitely NOT a four-star resort, I expected much better for the price I paid (over $800 SGD for four nights).

Overall the service of staff is good, condition of hotel room is alright and food is nice. But will be even better if improvement can be make for the below points:
Will be good to look at the aircon system and the small kerb outside the hotel room (risk of tripping if did not notice it)
Suggest to allow guest to order from ala crate menu even if there is a buffet lunch plan for that day.
Suggest to have organise the check in and check out process. Guest are standing around the reception waiting and not knowing who is next in the line.

Pillows are dirty with stains and not maintained. No hair dryer although pay 400 over Sgd for a nite at 3 prrom chalet. Have to wait 1 to 2 hours before you are served dinner at their restaurant. Service is too slow. Breakfast is supposed to be served from 7 to 10 but before even 9am some items are already not available. Not a must come place. Disappointing for the price paid.

The only good feature of stay is the 3 room apartment for 8 of us. We are happy to be staying under one roof. But evrythg else is mediocre. 21A is far away from beach, restaurant, pool altho there is the resort transport on call 24 hrs. The interior is very old, furniture is dirty and shabby. Requested 3 pcs of bedsheets fr housekeeping just to cover the 3 huge sofas. Wallpaint is pale already, does not look like touched up but the curtains are new & bright. Didn’t touch the kitchen altho we do use some teacups & bowls. We bought a lot of food & snacks so there’s no cooking. I feel gross to use its kitchen utensils. Sat in the room bed mostly. I used the room below and toilet flooded after evry shower. Surrounding of chalet was remote. The place looked deserted and plants are not trimmed or cared for. Rubbish strewn around. I could imagine the area would have been a beautiful place if cleaned up or tended to. And if interior decor is given a facelift would have been a wholesome place to stay for a memorable vacation wf fmly. I’m sure to comeback if improved!

Dun take the 3bedroom apartment

The 3 bedroom apartment was far from the lobby and pool, luckily can arrange for car services to the fro room and lobby but if u r wet after swimming, u need to ensure u wipe dry and change to a dry outfit before boarding.

Cleanliness was bad, there were stains on the blanket as well as footprint marks. Bathtub was extremely dirty that we did not even dare let the children play in there.

Check in was a breeze, chalet was spacious and comfy, there could have been a few more items in the kitchen, ie kettle, microwave.
Room service was good,
Breakfast on the 1st morning was a shambles, a lot of guests, staff could not cope, not enough staff to replenish the buffet.
2nd day was better.
Some items on the menu were really over priced, cheese toasty on the kids menu, 60k for 1 slice of bread & a slice of processed cheese, 100k for a double espresso.
Apart from that, was a nice break.

3 days 2 nights in Nongsa Point

Location is very close with beach and beautiful jetty but bit far from downtown so no easy to go outside and eat privately.

Hotel staffs’ service are questionable!
No bell boys are working well or weak arrangement. We wait over 30min to carry our baggage but there is no service then we did it ourselves.

Receptionist’s service are also questionable! Since we booked the beachfront view for 2 days but we have to take one day for garden view and another day for sea view. There are no strong for that but they provide back with dinner for their absence. And, you need to follow up continuously to them if you are hired a taxi or request a service. There is disappointable about their response during our trip.

The resort is beautiful with nice staff. However, food in the restaurant is ridiculously expensive, taste was good though. There is no other alternative independent restaurant in the area due to being remote. My suggestions would be to bring some drink cans along with raw food in order to save in lunch or dinner cost. Buffet breakfast was good with multiple varities of items.

Friendly sanctuary

Nongsa Point is a lovely little sanctuary. The restaurant and communal areas are modern and welcoming. Staff at the hotel were very friendly, and were extremely helpful to me beyond their duties in assisting me to book onward travel. I stayed in a hotel room (there are also chalets available) which had a gorgeous view of the marina, lovely bathroom, balcony and high ceilings. The pool is quite big, and easy to spend the day in relaxing. There is also paddle boarding available and a trampoline in the marina! Locals and expats are to be found in the bar, who were so fun and welcoming, they really made our trip special. I highly recommend Nongsa Point for a getaway.

Nongsa Point is more like chalet style than resort to me. Very quiet environments with beach front but not much sea sports activities around. Front receptions are friendly and they provide free shutter services to Turi beaches. Room is spacious with balcony and clean. But wifi in room is rather weak, got to keep logging in (troublesome). Only one cafe so not much food choices. Overall, am satisfied with my stays. Thank you!

The hotel is placed in a very secluded place. and because of that we can go too much places outside of the hotel ourselves. One of the staff even told me that to get to the main road by foot will take 2 hours. The only means of transport is the hotel transfer or taxi service which was so expensive. 190,000 rupiah for one way to nagoya. There was no information about paying extra for using wifi inside the room. Not from the hotel website nor expedia. Only able to use wifi at the lobby or bar area. The room service and staff and pleasant and efficient. Overall the room was nice but not the location and service provided by the hotel.

3*Hotel, and not a resort!

This was maybe a 4 star hotel when it was new, but that is a long time ago! Overall it is charming but in dire need of some improvements. The airconditioning in the room is so loud, it was impossible to sleep with it running, but turned of you still could not sleep because the units outside were just as loud! The beds are ok, and there are two pillows per person, but they are both very high and hard. It would have been nice with a choise of hight.
Calling it a resort is also misleading as there are no activities, gym or spa facilities. The beach at this resort is not recommended due to jellyfish, but there is a nice beach at the other side of the peinsula, about a 5 min. walk. Nice enough, but there are no sunbeds on the beach and the water isn't very clean. The area itself is very remote and the taxis were pricy. Actually, everything at this place was ridiculously priced!
They have a really nice dinner buffet on saturday evening with lots of good food. Worth a try!

We went to Nongsa Point to have a relaxing weekend; swimming and tanning. They did not have a beach but the pool was sufficient for our needs. Convenient shuttle service to Nongsa harbour.
As minus sides, most of our room towels were dirty, there was dirt in the bathroom and Wi-Fi was quite slow.

It was our first year anniversary. We checked inon dec 21 and left on dec 23.

The pool was great. The food was ok. Their greatest asset is their staff.
The room left a lot to be desired in spite of the free wifi.
The bed linens were dirty. The showerhead was broken and we had to ask maintenance to fix it. There was mould on the walls of the toilet. There were not enough wall sockets. The wall sockets that were available looked like there were sparks there previously and we didnt dare use them.
The place needs to be updated.

Terrible because the adjoining room woke us and kept us up from 1.30 am-5am with their continued merry making for the two nights we stayed there. They had more than two persons in the room.

There should be a section in the booking form to find out from future bookings if it is a group booking or travrlling in a group and allocation of room be based on it....no adjoining.

Overall,the resort is good for a relaxation. However an access to shopping center, Nagoya mall is quite inconvenient because the only way to get there is using a taxi from Monday to Thursday. The resort only runs shuttles Friday and weekends. The Chalet where I stayed, has a few problems. So I don't have a chance but change other one. The reasons are that one of the room on the second level, dirts fell from the ceiling and I couldn't turn down the AC in another room. So my kids were about to have a cold at night. Althouh they chaned the room one day after when I made a complaint on that matters, the remdey of grievance was not enough because they just say I am sorry and that's all for its reaction. However if you are really looking for a quite place with reasonable price I strongly recommend this resort.

Good place to unwind and relax for a weekend trip. Slightly pricer than typical places for batam, but its close by to Nongsa ferry terminal. Not much to complain about.

We stayed in the two-bedroom chalet for one night. The chalet's furnishings are a little dated, but relatively clean. The bathroom on the ground level had a leaking sink, but nothing too major. Air-conditioning was a little noisy, but cold enough.

Not the most luxurious stay, but for the price we paid, it was okay. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend to travelers on a budget.

My relatively alright stay at Nongsa Point Marina

When booking in Hotels.com, the description was listed as including Wi-Fi and Breakfast.
When we got to the resort, we quite surprised to find out that the Villa we bokoed had no Wi-Fi and only the Hotel Lobby and Restaurant had Wi-Fi.
We felt that the information was really misleading and led to some pretty serious disappointments especially since it was partially a work trip and we needed to be connected.
This kind of information should have been made transparent to the customers.

In addition to that, I called the lobby on the first night (Friday) after checking in to enquire about the Wi-Fi. That was when we were informed that we have no access to Wi-Fi at the villa. No other alternatives were provided to us.

However, I ran into an old friend on the day that I was checking out (Sunday) and he told me that the hotel had actually made provisions for them to have Wi-Fi set - up in their Villa at an additional cost.
Imagine my utter shock and disappointment that this alternative was not conveyed to us either. If this had been conveyed to us on Friday, we would have gladly taken that option to have Wi-Fi set - up for us. It would have cost us about 300,000 rupiah which would have been about SGD 30, shared amongst 6 of us.

I find the service provided by the hotel rather impersonal and disinterested, to say in the least.

Good staff but badly maintained chalet

Stayed at the 2-bedroom chalet and was greeted warmly by the staff. However the chalet was quite poorly maintained with dust and hair lying on the floor. The wooden window panes were broken and there were many stains in the toilet. Very clearly an old chalet with insufficient maintenance. The only plus point was the friendly attitude of the staff who were always ready to help. Just remember to book the rooms instead of the chalets in the future as the rooms are newly renovated.

Beautiful relaxing location on Marina

Had a wonderful week relaxing, swimming and playing golf in Batam. Hotel situated at Marina so very scenic views. This location suited our group of girls very well as we shopped or played golf and then came back to a very peaceful location to relax, swim and have dinner in evening. We made our own fun each night however at the weekend the Hotel had a lively band and we all joined in the dancing and singing - fantastic night!!

Hotel clean and does need some upgrade here and there however the staff are wonderful. Couldn't do enough for us - always smiling and joking with us.

Food at the hotel very good with extensive menu on offer.

A few other small restaurants close by too mainly seafood.

We played golf at Palm Springs and Southlinks Golf Course and would recommend both. Small 9 hole golf course 5 mins from Hotel (Tamarin Bay) very dry and needs TLC to bring it up to standard however, again caddies and staff made us feel so welcome.

Nice place with great service staff

Its was a perfect place to chill in a quite environment, however to travel to shopping area is expensive and far, the customer service there was fantastic, we spend our 15th years anniversary that with a special arrangement by the resort, its was a fantastic service from them, special thanks to Andri with all the sweet arrangement.

3d2n stay at 3-room apartment

Stayed in the 3-room apartment for 3d2n.

Advertised to have 1 king size bed, 1 queen size bed, and 2 x single beds for 6 adults. But when we got the room, it was 1 king size bed, and 2 rooms of 2 x single beds. Not a big issue, cause we can join the 2 x single beds together. The location of the 3-room apartment was near to the entrance of the resort, so it was rather far from the reception.

The apartment itself looked clean, but the furnishing is old and worn-out. The air-con in the room made a lot of noise at night when we switched to medium fan speed, and was very cold. But when we switched to low fan speed, the air-con kinda stopped working.

The kitchen has microwave, water heater, sink, fridge, utensils, bowls and plates, cups, etc. But for cooking, we could only find a wok, no cooking pot, and no cooking oil was provided.

Location of hotel is very near to Turi Beach. Walking distance between the 2 places.

As the room was very far from the reception, we can call a van to come and pick us up from the room to the reception. the van can also go to Turi beach.

Quality of service from the staff was top-notch. Very helpful and always pleasant to talk to.

Nice hotel but disappointing stay

Hotel is nice, food is good and staff very friendly
There is no real beach and it needed to be cleaned
The wifi was hardly existing
The air conditioning was so noisy we couldn't sleep with it
There are no activities apart from the pool and the hotel is in the middle of nowhere, so you have to pay a premium taxi or don't move at all

It was not good.we ordered room service however it was not delivered.and we were told that the food was spilled and we asked why didnt you give the other food as we ordered 2 types of food.they could not answer.we ended up eating dried noodle.

Bad resort with decent food

Quick summary, stay away.

While most of the hotel staff were helpful enough, they were way too understaffed as it took really long for them to get anything ready. We arrived at 5pm local time, and the room still wasn't ready. When it was finally \"ready\", we had to wait for the driver to bring us up to the chalet which is 4th row from the lobby, by the time we got there, the cleaners were still cleaning the chalet, which led us to wait around the front porch in the rain.

The chalet was filthy, the floors were sticky and there were still hairs in the toilet, ashes in the ashtray for a non smoking room. Kitchen equipment (or whatever there were, a pan and a pot) were covered in a layer of grime, impossible to shrub away. And there's a stagnant pond breeding the tons of mosquitoes we were fighting off in the evening.

The tiny balcony also does not have any furnitures, so don't bother thinking you can spend time in it.

To be fair, they have really decent food in the only cafe in this place. The bar is tiny but nice to sit around by the pool and the weekend buffet dinner spread was good. And there's nothing within the area so you are out of luck if you want to do anything besides hanging by the only cafe and bar since the room was un-pleasant enough for you to want to stay away.

This \"resort\" is one of the worst I have been to and seriously not worth the price we were paying.

A wonderful and beautiful time at Nongsa Point!

Had a wonderful and beautiful experience at Nongsa Point Marina & Resort, Batam. Hotel room was great. Love the room which is facing the garden view and the swimming pool is just behind on the ground level. Beautiful marina view - really spent the night sitting outdoor and feeling the luxurious cool windy atmosphere. This is rare because surprisingly there were no mosquitoes! Food was also good. Overall excellent!
