The room was dirty and neglected, chair on veranda broke when I sat in it, doors did not close properly so mosquito and large red ants came in at night, bathroom had electricity plug next to shower so not safe to use, kitchen did not have utensils to cook a meal.
Check in was 3 not 2 as on confirmation. Receptionists were dismissive and unhelpful, breakfast was of poor quality and lacking in choice, fresh coffee had to be paid for at breakfast it was not included as told at check in.
The hot tub was filthy and unusable, the large swimming pool had exposed wires in it and the smaller one had chairs floating in it and was full of sand and debris.The resort in general was dirty, tired and had rubbish everywhere.
Room service food was constantly over an hour late and stone cold when arrived. We ended up leaving a day early and would have left the day after arrival if I could have booked our next hotel earlier!!!

Mixed feelings about the stay

Objectively, the hotel is fine and though the communal areas are a little dated, the rooms are modern and mostly clean, and the staff are all friendly and helpful. For the price and location, was not a million miles from other similar resorts.

However, the Hotels.com information was inaccurate and misleading on some room types. Majority of imagery + info refer to / show elements only available in premium rooms / the villas, whereas the majority of rooms don’t have these features and are more basic - e.g. I booked a Deluxe Room on the basis of the information listing of a King Bed and having a bath tub. On check in, it was a twin bed, no bath and no furniture on the balcony (and the wifi was poor). The staff were able to help me change rooms to what I’d been expecting, which was then more like the large, spacious room with a tub + furniture in the listing.

Other issues I might have otherwise overlooked, but due to the room issues just meant I was disappointed and wouldn’t come back: food was only OK, was nice being able to see the sea and Singapore views, but construction looks messy and was noisy at times, as was the party resort across the water. Rooms appeared clean, but I did unfortunately see a couple of bugs/insects in bed the last night of my stay.

Staff was unfriendly at check in. There were rooms available but they were unwilling to let us check in early. We got to the hotel at 1230pm but told us check in was at 3pm. Check in time on expedia clearly stated as 2pm. We booked 7 rooms for 7 individuals but they wanted to give us 7 rooms with 2 twin beds. Only after we agreed to pay extra money for an upgrade then we were given 7 rooms with King beds.

At dinner time we asked the staff to help call a restauant we wanted to go to in another resort. Staff was again unwilling to help. Told me they couldnt help to call. Said they didnt have the number, even when I gave them the number from google they were still very unwilling to help us make an enquiry.

Overall horrible hotel and I wouldn’t recommend it at all.

Rooms are clean and comfortable. The grounds are well maintained and the surroundings are quite beautiful. There are only two dining choices on weekdays and there many things to do during the day as the city and towns are not close and there are no interesting places to visit nearby. It's great if you want to sit around the pool all day, but not if you want to get out and see things.

My sea view room was just in front of an ongoing construction site with excavator and workers noises blaring all throughout my 4 days stay. My ocean view totally submerged and spoilt by the job site. My holiday to unwind and chill out unfortunately didn’t work out 😩

Check in staff told us to wait for an hour as room was not ready. Came back an hour later, told us the room was still not ready. Came back an hour later again and still gave us the same excuse. However, we notice people checking in after us was getting their rooms. She told us we can get our room immediately if we upgraded. I do not think we should pay extra for the hotel’s inefficiency. Eventually got our room when we we made a fuss (they had a room, we just needed to be nasty to get it) but the holiday experience was already ruined.

The staff was wonderful but the place really needs to be refreshed like many other hotels in Batam in fact. Also, please clean the beach. It s such a pity to have such a nice surrounding full of trash in some part of the beach.
Massages were really nice
The food at the restaurant was average/low but pretty good at the sea food restaurant on the beach.

A beautiful beachfront location, with a very helpful staff. Pools are lovely, as is beach. Great sunset views to Singapore. The place is showing some age and they are doing updates. A great value at $50 US/night breakfast buffet included. Very close to Nongsapura ferry terminal with free shuttle.

We stayed in a Villa on the water and the room was gorgeous!
A little dated in the styling and kitchen, but clean, comfortable, a full kitchen (limited utensils but the basics).
Nice verandah into water with chairs and tables.
Air con was good also.

The pools were fantastic!! A huge one up top near the restaurant (they were happy to serve us food there) and a great smaller pool on the beach.

The transport service from room to restaurant was great and they came whenever we asked (although hotel was not busy at all when we were there)

Great band that plays in evening.

Areas they could do better in:
- too much rubbish in beach
- they had cleaned a lot of rubbish but left the bags full sitting in beach.
- there was an old speed boat broken left in middle of beach
- there were multiple ‘kayaks’ and peddle boats that the kids wanted to use but all were broken (so they need to remove them)
- the beach sports centre looked like an old garage that was falling down, no signage and no food or drinks available down on beach. A lot could be improved on the beach area to make it really nice (as they have an amazing beach spot!)

Get what you pay for.

Look, there's no doubt that this hotel is excellent value-wise. Sixty-six bucks a night is remarkable. However, they have cut costs on the most essential parts: bed and linen quality. The beds are rock hard, and the sheets paper thin. Pillows are fat, and there's no option for foam pillows. This place is fine if you're going to Batam for an overnight golf trip.

The resort was very comfortable. However, I was a little disappointed that though I booked the deluxe room, I was told that we couldn't get chairs on the balcony so that we could sit and enjoy the ocean view. Moreover, as a vegetarian, our options were very limited.

This was our first trip and visit to Batam.
When we arrived with the ferry from Singapore at Batam Center, we called up the property and asked for the free shuttle bus which was advertised on Expedia. They told us it's not possible only from property to ferry port but not other way around. So we had to take a Taxi.
When we arrived it was empty (Thursday) very unique experience to see a massive resort but with no other guests in it. Check in was quick. I missed additional information or anything I know from other hotels where they inform what to do around here.
Once we entered our room it looked a bit worn down. Bathroom had some unclean / old spots and felt like it needed some renovation.
Bed was comfortable, TV is old and has unclear signal. No streaming possible.
We had a balcony as advertised by Expedia but no chairs to sit. We saw other balconies have chairs. Knowing that we were probably the only customers we called reception to ask if we can have chairs as we will be staying 3 nights. They said that we booked superior room and chairs are only available for deluxe room which is a joke then do not advertise balconies then! So we felt ripped of 2 times within not even 2 hours.
Bed was comfortable, however the sheets had stains and they smelled damp and not fresh or clean like I know from other hotels. Massive let down.
Beach and pool downside were not clean. Trash in the ocean water. Pool upside ok. Breakfast is only semibuffet and seriously bad. Only good thing is WiFi!

Jewelry lost worth 15k, the front office manager was so rude, walked away when I was speaking. I will never stay there again. Housekeeping went in to clean the room and all the items were lost, there is no other explanation. I looked at the CCTV to see also, but they have said they trust their staffs so never stay there due due to their bad service

It was pretty bad. We checked in around 12 pm but our room was only available at 5 pm. Their respond is pretty slow.

We booked for 1 rooms 3 adults. The staff told us that they can only provide 2 beds for 3 persons (really! he was not joking) because there is some mis-understanding between their hotel and booking website which had nothing to do with us. I had to talk to other staff to get an extra bed. So far this is this worse hotel I have ever been.

Staff seems not that thrill to serve. We thought probably because it was full but we were probably one of the 3 or 4 families around. Water pressure for the shower was terrible and there was hardly hot water... but again for the price we paid, I guess it was the best we could ever ask for. Far away from town... if you love water activities then this hotel is for you.

Highly priced rooms. We paid for 2 days but we have to vacate the hotel in 46 hours so, two hours for clening the room they will eat up from your time. Taxis were overpriced. We took drinks in the bar but they haven’t served any complimentary snack. You have to go down to teach their private beach whoch was tiring.

Great location. Staff were great but there wasn’t enough people for a fully booked CNY. They have one restaurant and it ran out of most items on Sunday. There’s not other food options nearby so we were stuck with what was left on the menu. Our room was in need of an update. They allowed smoking in the common areas so the hotel smelled of cigarettes. The pool is good. They need to clean the beach area so it didn’t have bags of trash around. It just in need of TLC to be a great hotel again.

There was a strong cigarette smell coming from the air con vent. We reported the issue but nobody took action. Other than that, the room is generally ok. The cups were also not washed thoroughly as we can still see stains in them. It would be good if the services could be improved.

Highlights:
- Kid friendly facilities with lots of pet cats and a little coop of roosters and birds
- Decent dining options with the main lobby level restaurant and a sea food restaurant, a great buffet option for dinner on Saturdays with live performance
- Plenty of room and not too congested

Issues:
- We were charged for an extra bed by Expedia despite declining the extra bed when we checked in, hotel asked to contact and Expedia has made it difficult to refund the extra bed amount charged by responding to the email with more questions and making an excuse about the \"email not coming from the same address\"
- Some of the facilities around the hotel could be updated

Nice hotel, free transfer from the ferry terminal. Older hotel therefore there are some signs of wear and tear. Staff friendly and helpful. Hot water took a while to reach the shower and the water pressure on the 5th floor was not as expected. I would revisit this hotel, as the rates were fair, and a relaxing environment. Sunset from the beach is a must.

All in one resort.

had a 3d2n stay in Batam View Beach Resort. Apparently from what I heard it was the very first hotel in Batam.

Has a very rustic feel like a chalet, but either way it is a resort. Beach was relatively clean but small.

Good thing is that the beach is only a 5-10min walk from your room. Everything is rather accessible within the hotel that is.

The hotel is situated at Nongsa which is pretty much cut off from the main city. Takes about an hour from Batam Center so do plan your shopping accordingly. Otherwise, it's a great place to just chill for a short getaway.

We visited for one night over the May 1 holiday. The arrival experience was excellent - pick up at the ferry terminal, immigration fast track, a/c bus to hotel. Rooms were clean and tidy - no complaints. Pool area is nice enough too - though F&B staff a bit slow and difficult to find, and the same music on a 1 hour loop gets a bit boring after a while! Bar snacks ok - not great. Beach area is nice but a bit run down. Water sports options are good value. Hotel restaurant brekky, lunch or dinner - all ok too. In summary this hotel is fine for a quick escape with the family but feels a bit tired in various areas. Good value at the right price!

Nice budget family hotel.

Second visit there. Took the kids for a few days. The good; clean room, all rooms have water views, only a 5 minute (free) transfer to Nongsapura ferry terminal and staff is friendly. Live band every night with a cool magic show. Mini 'zoo' onsite with cats, lizards, cockatoos, etc., great for the kids.

The bad; level of English of the staff is generally very poor. There are quite a few activities on the 'menu' but many are unavailable due to various reasons.

In summary though; excellent value for money

Minor things first - During check-in, front desk didnt inform us the bfast venue/time (it was included in our booking) nor the wifi password. The room itself was rather clean but the aircon was very cold despite adjusting temperature to 30C and lowering aircon fan speed to 1 so we think the thermostat is broken. The resort lobby is very cold too & the rainy weather made it worse. Breakfast buffet lacked variety & they reused part of the dinner menu on previous night.

The major things - the Expedia booking indicated CLEARLY that the price we paid for included the NYE gala dinner. We even called to confirm before our trip. However, when we asked the front desk for the details, the staff claimed that we were not entitled to the dinner as the price we paid was too little to include the dinner! Only got our dinner after checking back THRICE with him. Dinner was outdoor & not prepared for wet weather. Rain could still come in even with canvas shelter, field was muddy, & had insufficient light. Housekeeping was not thorough. Didnt replace both towels in my room & we had to ask for them. My friend's room only had 1 hand towel replaced & they didnt bother asking for it. But during check-out, the front desk staff said 1 hand towel was missing and although we explained, Housekeeping claimed they had given us the hand towel so wanted to charge us for it. We don't know the conclusion since we had to rush for the ferry so I guess I will only know if it appears on my bank statement...

Perhaps it's because it's my first time staying at a resort, and it was only for a night, I really loved the place. There were plenty of things to do regardless of day or night. However, the only down side was that there wasn't much food choices and they were expensive. As we went during Christmas, there were performances and live music entertainment which made the trip even more pleasant.

Oh yes, not to forget, their phone line was down. So it was very inconvenient as we had to go down to the lobby for room services. But overall, it was still a good experience! Worth visiting!

NEVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL

This is the worst hotel i have ever stayed. Firstly after making my booking in singapore, i emailed them to confirm my rooms but the email kept returning as mail failure. when i call them no one answers. then when we arrive there, they gave us all separate rooms on different levels. so i told them i am with my kids n and mum, lease put us on the same level, they said all fully booked. then the phones in the rooms are not working so we found it so difficult to contact each other as the wifi was horrible. the bathtub was very dirty. To order room service we were given a whatsapp number to call. no one answered and you have to go down to the restaurant to order food and when they deliver like and hour or later, either some orders or missing or some food items are missing. my son (9 years) rented a float duck from the swimming pool. they made him sign a form which says something about damage cost. of course if there are such clause you should not let him sign, after renting less than 20 mins, the floats air started coming out and they said we damaged it and told us we should pay $40. i refused as the float was already old and there was tapes there. the staff started raising his voice at me saying my son signed. so i said i want to speak to ur manager, he came out with stupid stories and insisted we pay and in the end i had to pay $20 for that duck. it was clearly a scam and since they were holding on to our passports in the safe my mum did not want me to pursue it.

The place is fine if you're looking for a chilled couple of nights away - but we booked based on a \"good\" rating from Expedia and don't feel that's accurate. We booked for 3 people in a Superior room but found out that those don't exist. It's really just a 2-bed room, but they wheel in an extra roll-out bed. Didn't feel like we were getting our money's worth at all. Breakfast variety could have been better and they were quite poor with topping up the food etc. The beach attached with the resort isn't clean either. Looked far more picturesque with the other neighbouring resorts round the other side of the island. We were looking for something of higher quality than what we got which is a shame. It's very average - which is fine if that's what you're looking for!

Hotel facilities is old no maintenance. Hotel moist and smelly . No convenience shop , shopping centre or restaurant around the hotel . Hotel guest only take their lunch and dinner in hotel only . Kelong seafood restaurant in hotel food not recommended.
Hotel staff were friendly , arrange transfer from hotel to Ferry terminal . Christmas Eve dinner (complementary dinner voucher for 2) at pool side very enjoyable with magic show and live band .

Good relax hotel, but some negative points to note

I stayed for 2 nights & 3 days at this hotel with family. Very relaxed & beautiful hotel. Their pool is the highlight of the hotel, very relaxed. My kid had a ball of time there. The pool bar is awesome too. We could float in pool & enjoy drinks :)
They have kept pool floats, badminton rackets, volley ball, bicycles for free use. Which is great!
They also have ATV's, jet-skies, banana boat rides, paint ball, etc available with charges.
Beach is just 2 mins away. Not so great beach though!
Golf course is just next to the hotel!
This hotel is around 40 mins away from Batam ferry terminal & there's not much happening around it. Which exactly what we wanted, so we could have alone time away from city hustle.
Few negative points to note though-
1. Old condition of the hotel, needs renovation.
The bath tub was chipping color, bathroom door was old & rusted, shower curtain old too
2. Breakfast was very basic, could be better
3. Overall food was expensive compared to outside restaurants... which I find is the case with all hotels. So better to eat outside if you want to save money
4. Telephone lines were off for whole 3 days, so if you want to order anything or talk to house keeping etc. I had to go down to reception.
Overall happy :) as my kid enjoyed the holiday & we had a nice relaxed time at this hotel.

Hotel needs some serious admin overhaul

Upgraded to a beach villa which was good. Hotel is very jaded and attention to detail lacking. Chairs very uncomfortable on balcony which they did sort out which made a difference. Food took an age to arrive and was cold on both attempts in the evening and late in arrival. We sent the second days food back which they did deal with promptly as it was stone cold. The staff have obviously not been trained to manage the expectations of customers and though they were all very nice, they were ineffectual and seemed to laugh (I think this was embarrassment or lack of understanding of the issues) at each issue we raised. The breakfast food was also cold on each day in the hotel and the queues for eggs and lack of food being replenished made it an unpleasant meal.

Child-friendly resort by the beach

Stayed at the resort over the Easter weekend hence it was peak period, which rested in quite a wait for check-in and a chaotic wait for the breakfast buffet.

The resort and rooms may look aged but where I stayed (Deluxe room), room and equipments were clean including new kettle and hair dryer (small but important things!).

Good range of facilities, though some have seen better days (ie broken hula hoop, messy ktv rooms don't know if still in use?).

However, look past the aged exterior and what makes this resort shine is the service! Everyone whom I have met and asked for assistance replies with a smile, from security and reception to housekeeping. The young man at the sports/activities counter and an older gentleman who is almost always sculpting balloons for kids are among the friendliest!

There is a lovely pets corner. At first I was concerned about the animals' welfare. But I saw staff walking the dogs early in the morning, daily cleaning of the cages, turkeys allowed to roam free during parts of the day, and healthy curious kittens getting their daily milk and vitamins. A lovely lady who takes care of them patiently taught my young girl how to pet the cats.

What the resort lacks in modern facilities, it makes up for it with its personality. Highly recommended for young families.

My family enjoy our stay in this resort, a lot of out door activities but without a package will cost a fortune. No other public places close by to eat and drink economically. entire movement will only rely to the hotel price, food were excellent but not that cheap as expected in the hotel.

Lovely old fashioned hotel set on a lovely beach.

This is an older hotel, but the service and surroundings are excellent. The pool is great, very warm, with a bar and children area and lots of sun beds and umbrellas. The staff are very friendly and the service is fast and efficient. Everyone appears pleased to see you and always smiles.
The food we had there was great, there is a sea food restaurant that was A1, the food was great and staff transport you there by golf carts down to the beach, (restaurant is on sea stilts) and then return to take you back. There was great entertainment, a house band and also a magician who was super funny and talented.

Onsite services include a masseuse and there are shops and a gift store that were all reasonably priced. Rooms were ok, choose a deluxe or above, we had a sea view which was great also. We had a great weekend, and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a quieter break on Batam Island.

Beautiful homey hotel near the beach

The hotel staff were very accomodating and allowed us to check in early as they had spare rooms. Room decoration was very nice, we felt like we were in a palace's bedroom. Hotel was very near the beach, which was really relaxing and we had a fantastic view from our balcony.

Good Resort to stay for max 2 days.

Activities are good and Beach side Villas are Nice. Better to Plan in Saturday's and Sunday's to have medium Crowd. Swimming Pole is clean.

Nice resort with private beach

Good hotel for short stay and comfort. Lot of activities to do including water sports. Resort has indoor kids playing room, which is really a good thing, during rain.
We were their during Christmas 2016 period, evening/night was filled with lot of shows and live band. Magician was surprise, he is really a warm person. Even next day, he was present at swimming pool and gave my daughter a balloon elephant. Front desk took my all request very seriously and attended promptly.

But VERY UN-HAPPY with kitchen and room service, ordered food to dine-in room, came very late, and re-heated again, called then to send water bottled, it didn't come. First day afternoon, we wanted to have lunch, recommended to go for buffet by staff. I guess around 1.00 - 1.30pm, most of the food was over, finally we settled for roasted chicken and rice and one veg, which was very pricey for this kind of food. Tried seafood resultant as well, food quality is really bad. They need to really look into this. Tourist are coming for comfort and good food. If you want to have good food, avoid this resort.

Overall, stay was nice and good. Enjoyed most of the part.

A piece of mind

A free of mind and good memories after been there for 3 days. What touches me is the scenery and their friendly staffs and not bad for the food. Two things that inspired me the Live Band and the Magic Show. Kudos!!! to you people. A Job Well Done!

The hotel is located near to nongsapura ferry terminal. Shuttle service was provided. Hotel room is comfortable and spacious. The beach is right behind the hotel and the waters are clear. Lovely view!

Migraine-inducing noise but lovely view

When I went up to my room (room 321) it was far from quiet. There was music blaring. We thought that it must be from a nearby club (there was no such thing) as it was a Saturday night. It was difficult to fall asleep. The next night, I had a swim in the pool, which was lovely, and got a drink. The private beach is small, but relatively clean and peaceful. There are activities you can pay to do near the beach and in the water. The hotel restaurant & room service is unimpressive, though we really loved the Kelong restaurant which served us a whole seafood meal by the waters. We also got a couple's massage together - superb! Sadly, when I got back to the room on Sunday night music was still blaring and I could feel the bass sitting on the bed. It gave me a really bad migraine. I called the lobby, and they said that the music was coming from level 1 -- the lobby! It would end around 12, they said. Upon explaining how I felt, the music was suddenly said to end at 11 instead. I asked if there were quieter rooms available, but \"all rooms are noisy\". Sounds unlikely. How good can a hotel be if you can hear lobby music at Level 3? The noise continued the next night. Alas, upon enquiring at checkout the staff told me to book Block C next time.

Good location to see sunset but the hotel condition need to improve. Air-conditioner in the lobby is cold than the room. You can sleep without blanket or unable to sleep. Game room facilities is terrible, most of the game is mix up and broken. Transfer between terminal better to ask the reception to book your timing.

Room looks and price are decent but aircon didn't work well. Plus there were ants in the room. They got our room service orders wrong 3 out of 3 times. Bartenders made poor drinks. Food was pricey with very limited selection and flavor. Nothing around the hotel so little options. Will not return.

Unless u just want to slack, u can stay in this resort. If u want to go city, this is a very far place to stay.taxi fare sgd $20 per trip! But they made arrangement for nice candlelight dinner. Breakfast was so so. I will not return. Sorry.

Its a trap - Read before you book

Check the location of this hotel before booking. Its far and isolated place. Around 25+ Kms from Batam Centre Harbour terminal. No hotels nearby. You have to order the food from them and its very much costlier. One sandwich is 11 SGD, Orange Juice 7 SGD, Buffet 30+ SGD, Mixed Fruit 7 SGD. Room service is worst, The AC was not working from the time when we checked in the afternoon and it was fixed after too many follow ups at 10:00 PM. 4-5 people were in our room and they were fixing it. Staff was not profession at all. Always looking forward to hunt money from you. If you do not return the swimming towel then the fine is 60 SGD. I went on during 2016 Good friday long week-end and the price per night is 132 SGD with taxes, which is too much for this hotel. Not worth the money.

Otherwise the private beach is very good.

Priced right for an overnight stay if you are golfing at one of the nearby courses. There is a very nice Seafood Restaurant on site that is a good bargain with outstanding food. Dont expect much service out of the staff. Generally, all touchpoints with staff was very frustrating.

Very decent hotel for the price, everything was clean and in working order. Breakfast room very modern and offers abundant choices of food.

Service was excellent, we used shuttles to the golf courses and from the ferry. Staff is very friendly.

Its probably best to say that you must manage your expectations.

If you're the type who likes to nitpick and spot every little detail, this resort isn't for you as the decor and the whole look of this resort is tired and not updated. There's also signs of wear on the room's furniture and bathroom. The breakfast in the restaurant wasn't fantastic either. The beach isn't picturesque, the pool water isn't clear, gym and sauna isn't top notch.

If you're just looking to enjoy quiet time and not fussy about appearances/amenities, come during off-peak period. The CNY crowd came on our 2nd & 3rd day (6th & 7th Feb) and it was chaotic, especially at breakfast. Food were not replenished quickly and there was a super long line at the egg station. No peace and quiet. This was the polar opposite of our stay on the first day.

If you're really into shopping in the city area, you must be prepared to spend about 2 hours (to and fro) in the taxi. The front desk staff will call a cab for you, in which you have to pay a flat rate specified by the hotel. The journey to Nagoya/Batam Center takes at least 40 mins and there will always be traffic jam. That would up the travel time to 1 hour- just going there.
