Salana boutique hotel is a truly charming place to stay. The property itself is beautiful, with so much attention to detail in the design and atmosphere. The staff were warm, attentive. We got the 2nd floor with side street view which was very quiet . Room was okay and bathroom needs some update.

Starting from the second day, after we came back from outside and after the room cleaning it smelled stinky, the type of odor from the sewer. we have is the smell in the rooms and bathrooms. i think it's from a poor sewage system or something. They send house keepers right away and also asked if we want to change the room.But we had only few nights left and after room freshener it was much better.
Breakfast is delicious- upon ordering from the menu also has decent Buffet breakfast options. The buffet selection was limited, but it should be sufficient for guests who don’t have high expectations or require a large variety and their staffs are courteous and friendly too.
Great location in downtown Vientiane, 2 min walk from the night market and countless shops and restaurants and massage places.

The room was excellent with nice dark curtains. The bed was one of the biggest we've ever slept in. The room faced the road but noise was not a problem. One significant problem was the \"Smart\" TV, which was really difficult to set up to watch ordinary TV as opposed to Casting etc. The included breakfast was really good and the staff were excellent. A minor hiccough was that the toilet seat was loose but I fixed that myself.

The location of this hotel is perfect! Very central and in a very busy eatery / bar eara just off from night market and Mekong river restaurants.
My room had the most comfortable bed in my 2 week journey through Laos and a very generous shower space. I had the total delight of bring very gently woken by monks chanting their gratitude as morning alms took place. I am a light sleeper but you could easily sleep through this if Wats and monastry are not your thing. The service overall ( laundry, restaurant, housekeeping and front desk were all extremely good and staff are very engaging, there is a really nice 'vibe' at this place and the breakfasts are plentiful, tasteful and most thoroughly enjoyed.

This is a lovely boutique hotel in the heart of Vientiane. Close to nice restaurants, shops, and the river and night market. All very walkable. The breakfast is excellent, offering a wide variety of western and Asian options as well as a menu to order from. The hotel is spotless and the staff are amazing -- they work to accommodate any requests you have. We left on a very early flight and the took up to the airport in their beautiful van and had a bag with both breakfast and lunch prepared for our trip. I highly recommend this property.

I have traveled to more than 60 countries and this is the second time I have stayed at Salana Boutique Hôtel. It is consistently one of the best experiences in hotel living. The ambiance, decor and food are exceptional but the staff are what makes it the best.

Fantastic room. Clean and perfectly appointed. Service is great. My only recommendation is make sure you get a room with the garden view because the street noise is quite loud and runs very late into the night.
We paid for Gardenview on purpose, but they upgraded us. Fortunately, we travel with earplugs, so sleeping was possible.

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel and my opinion hasn’t changed from my previous review in March 2020. This hotel is simply a delight in every aspect and is a must stay for any visitor to Vientiane. I dined extensively in the restaurant this time and the food was delicious and reasonably priced.

All of the staff members were so nice, front desk personnel also speaks English which was helpful when asking for directions to the bank, and getting transportation to the airport. The breakfast buffet was delicious and had a mix of both western breakfast food and Lao with rice options. The wifi worked well and the place was well air conditioned. This is my 2nd time staying here. I chose this place over Lao Orchid which use to be my favorite and just down the street. But Salana is my new favorite now. 2nd stay here, I got a smaller room. $68 a night is fair for what you get out of your stay here. The rooms are clean, breakfast is the best so far out of all the hotels I’ve stayed at, and the staff is very friendly. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to stay.

This is such a charming property. Great views of the Mekong River from the room but especially the outdoor bar/restaurant. Food was delicious. The room was clean and cool. It’s an easy walk to restaurants and markets. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

The Lao personnel that work in this hotel are so helpful and courteous. The Breakfast Buffet is delicious and you can eat Western or Asian. The location is excellent for night market.
There were two things I didn’t like. I have friends in Vientiane so if they come to your room and we want to visit they charge you 100,000 kip which is roughly $10.00 and I don’t think 🤔 this is right. Their WiFi isn’t secured and I go to other places like coffee shops, and health spas and they have secured WiFi.

My family and I stayed at this hotel for the 3rd time. That shows you how much we loved this hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly. They do speak English, which was helpful. Never seem to disappoint! Make sure to reserve your car reservation pick up from the airport to the hotel or hotel to the airport ahead of time. It's very convenient! The gift shop is a MUST SEE if you don't have time to check out the night market to purchase souvenirs. Last year, they even wish my mom a Happy Birthday when we stayed there. They sing and took picture with the hotel's manager. It was a nice touch. Thank you Salana Boutique Hotel. Hope to see you again!

Exceptional service! We stayed at a Ritz Carlton for a few nights before coming to Laos and staying here. To be honest the level of service was the same. The entire staff was incredibly kind, helpful and went out of their way to ensure you were comfortable. They were out of bananas at breakfast and the manager went and bought some for my 9 month old daughter. Now that is going above and beyond!
