The room is just right for 2 people, not too spacious but its ok. It has a long desk and a view of the street but sound proof. Comfortable bed and walking distance to tourist spots and dining options. Ibis Vientiane Nam Pho is safe since it is 1 block away from Police station and Presidents Palace. Breakfast is good too, serving hot food. Highly recommended.

This is a centrally located and quiet hotel walking distance to many of the wonderful attractions in Vientiane. It is also surrounded by many fine restaurants, cafes and bars. My room was spacious with a large comfortable bed, efficient air conditioning, mini fridge, programmable safe and wall mounted TV with many channels. The bathroom had a walk in shower with excellent water pressure and hot water. There is an option to purchase a reasonable priced breakfast buffet. The staff at the hotel was very friendly and professional. I would definitely stay at this hotel again when visiting Vientiane.

From the check in to the check out, the staffs were very nice, helpful and friendly. The room is very clean. The restaurant area is very clean and the food was excellent and delicious. The only place that I have eaten that doesn’t cause my stomach ache because the food is stored properly before cooking. I love this place even though the room is a little small. I will definitely staying here again if I am visiting Vientiane Laos again.

Our family stayed at the Ibis across three rooms. All rooms were meticulously cleaned and the staff were extremely friendly, patient and courteous to us. Their hospitality made our stay a lot more pleasant.
The location was also close to the amenities we needed, including the bank to exchange money and the confidence store (both less than 5 mins walk from the hotel).
Be sure to pack mosquito repellent - there are a lot outdoors and also around reception (not the hotel’s fault). Will happily return in the future should we find ourselves in Laos again.

The property located in the middle of the city. Easy to access to many places, food, night market. Staff is helpful. The room is rather small but as a budget hotel, I would say it is reasonable. The room is clean and what I also love is the towel is very clean, new and soft. Would recommend this place.

Looks like a new or freshly renovated building. Not a luxury retreat but if cleanliness and location at a fair price matters to you than this place is on the spot. Good walking distance to Mekong side attractions. Very good and helpful staff. Next time I’m in the city I will definitely stay here again.

The bed has a problem that could be fixed...when you sit back and watch TV the mattress slips forward....you have to push it back on the base....as a gap appears behind when sitting....
...all the time.......
The mattress was very comfortable

Room was functional - a little small for 7 day stay. Fridge was a waste of time - could barely get a couple of bottles of water in. Back room was noisy during the day as was a workshop below, welding and hammering and cutting from time to time. Restaurant had trouble poaching eggs even after advising they could do that. Costs in Vientiane have reason considerably over the past couple of years, and infrastructure seems to have declined.

I have bunked here 3 or 4 times, it is a good choice in Vientiane. The internet was good. I paid for breakfast, not included in my rate, and it was so-so. Over-priced! Location is good. Before leaving the manager quoted me a taxi price to the airport which seemed extremely expensive. When I departed it was easy to cop a taxi for at least $5 USD less - I was really surprised. I felt the manager was ripping me off! He should be helping people not sticking it to them! When in VTE, I will probably stay there again. Thank you.

Great location for food and visiting the Mekong riverside market and Talat Sao morning market. Love the fresh avocado drinks for 20,000kip (U$2.40). The room is very comfortable, with nice toilet facilities - the hotel feels new, with friendly and helpful frontdesk. Well done Ibis Vientiane!

It was a clean room in a good location. Staff couldn't help with booking bus tickets. The restaurant was as inviting as a McDonalds. We were here only one night as a transition from Vietnam. One night was enough.

The room was surprisingly small, almost cramped feeling - think European efficiency. There would not have been room for large suitcases. It was crowded enough with two people and two carry-on bags.Also, the breakfast (which was quite good) was not included, and cost nearly $10 USD. That's pricy in the context, especially for a hotel that cost more than $85! I wouldn't stay there again at these prices and without breakfast incuded.

what's good about this place is the cleanliness of this hotel in general, however, room service for ordering food needs to improve alot. With numerous hotel staff wandering about in the building, food delivery to the hotel guest room should be a priority. ordering food and having to go allllll the way down to the lobby to pickup? not very convenient for the guest. for the enormous price for a day stay, service for the guest is really lacking. But the rooms and the hotel is clean, So that's something good about this place.

Simple, basic, no-frills, suburb like hotel with free wifi. I enjoyed my two nights stay here, simple is always good. The staff were very friendly and were competent with their English. My package did not include breakfast, but there are a few establishments nearby that open very early with extensive menu choices (french, thai, scandinavian, etc.). The night market which opens every night is just a 5-min walk away. Do take note that only basic toiletries are provided, toothbrushes not included.

You know what you will get with Ibis. A consistent standard. Great location. I was there 5 nights and my room was on the main street. There have been issues re noise but apart from a lively Saturday night I was OK. Only real problem was WiFi which was always slow but practically came to a halt one way.

This is a fine hotel with a great central location to most of the main tourist spots. Although Vientiane is small so I think this would describe most hotels. The service was fine and the people were friendly. I arrived early and was allowed to store my bag and walk around the city until it was time to check in. The bed was comfortable and the wi-fi was fine. However there were some problems. Despite the location being nice, it is next to a restaurant that gets quite loud, but I will chalk this up to it being the holidays and not a normal occurrence. The main problem was other sounds, I stayed two nights and both nights I was woken up in the morning by the sound of dogs fighting outside the hotel. In the shower there is a container of something but it was not labeled so I was unsure if it was soap or shampoo. Whichever it was, they did not provide the other so I was glad I brought my own soap and shampoo. The shower head is also awkwardly positioned in the shower and the door does not seal shut, so water sprays on the floor. The hotel was fine to stay in, but nothing blew me away to the point that I would stay here again.

Although this hotel is newly built and located in the city center, regrettably their rooms and public spaces are narrow. My room was jammed with a bed and shower room was also small. There must be better hotels at the same fare if you can forbear at a bit inconvenient place.

Hotel staff were friendly and the premises were very clean. It was safe and secure (your key card also operated the lift so if several of you were in the lift going to different floors there was fun and games getting them in and out of the slot in time!). It is a chain hotel and therefore ticked all the boxes. Unfortunately, because it is a chain hotel it had no personality. The corridors to the rooms were especially bare. Still good value and we'd stay there again.

Usual Ibis set up, comfortable beds, odd storage area, ridiculously small fridge, OK bathroom. Close to the tourist area and night market. Rooms 01-03 noise from nightclub complex next door. Nearby Joma delicious cakes and good iced coffee(Sydney prices) also Le Banneton café( Rue Nokeokoummane) for excellent French salads and sandwiches(avoid the Luang Prabang branch). Nearby Khop Chai Deu restaurant ordinary food, over-attentive but chaotic service, they overcharged us.

I only stayed for a night before heading to Vang Vieng. This hotel is on one of the main streets in the town, is centrally located, was a $7 taxi ride from the airport, and had good service. Shower and air conditioning worked well. Plus they allowed me to check in early for becoming a member. The only drawback was that my room faced the Main Street and with bars & restaurants staying open late, and a lot of motorbike riders, there was loud street noise until 3am on the Saturday night that I was there.

Convenient to restaurants and attractions

I asked for a twin room that could accommodate persons with disabilities (PWDs), but forgot to specify a non-smoking floor. The first room I was given was only one floor up from ground level, accessible via elevator and with guard rails in the bathroom - but this level is also a smoking floor. The staff very kindly and quickly accommodated my request to change to a non-smoking floor. (My companion had to back out of the trip, so I could give up the PWD accessibility.) Apart from the smoking/non-smoking floor, both rooms were clean and mostly well-stocked. Both had a double bed and an extra room containing twin/bunk beds (maybe related to PWD requirements?). The complimentary water and tea/coffee were much appreciated. The free WiFi was easy to access and fast. I did not book a room with breakfast so cannot comment on the quality of the food.
