The staff was very accommodating (I arrived early due to taking an overnight bus and also let me check-out an hour late). The room was clean and had a nice bed with good pillows. Warning: not all rooms have outside windows. The breakfast was varied and accommodated a variety of cultural tastes. Its location was wonderful; easy to walk to many sites or cafés and right next to the airport bus stop.

Great Location. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
The breakfast buffet was more or less the same everyday. Depending on the person, this could be good or bad.
I enjoyed the cook to order omelette and morning pho.
I also enjoyed the morning cappuccino.

What I didn't like was the unstable internet connection. Connection in the room was little to nonexistent. The only good place for a stable connection was in the lobby.

I also didn't like that there were a lot of mosquitoes within the hotel and inside the room. I must have killed dozens inside the room but still got bitten as I slept!

Not what was expected

I read so many good reviews of this hotel that I decided to give it a try. I reserved a three night stay and could only last for one night. First of all, the hotel claims 24hr hotel transfer ad from Hotels.com, I contacted the hotel and they said no hotel transfer and I would need to take a taxi. Second, there were lots I’d mosquitos flying inside the room upon check in. The water pressure of the toilet was non-existent. The hot water only lasted 5 mins on the shower. I could deal with everything but the WiFi signal was so bad it wouldn’t work in the room. Although, I paid in full for the weekend, I checked out and moved to a new hotel.

Vientiane is a visa run destination for many in thailand. This hotel is a short taxi ride ( or bycycle ) to the embassy. It's a 4 minute walk from the main street and about 6 minutes to the lakeshore road where most of the bars/restos are. A great steak house nearby too. The staff is pleasant, the breakfast is amazing but my bed was single. I could barely turn without falling out. I dont understand how a single can be option in any room these days. The rooms are small and I had no window ( only a window to the hallway ) but it was clean and had all the amenities. A good place for a couple days. On a side note, Laotian and thai language is very similar so we can talk thai to them but they speak english well.

Stayed for one night while passing through Vientiane, Check in was quick,room was clean,no proper window in the room however, the one we had looked into the corridor. This wasn’t the worst thing ever but just not what we expected from the photos when we booked. Breakfast was good, really tasty omelette. Location was good for most things and a short wander to a great French restaurant.

On arrival at the hotel the reception staff were polite and efficient with the booking in procedure
This was our third visit to Vientiane the second stay in this hotel
We like the location nice and quite
We have done the Tourist Tours in Vientiane plus we enjoy going to the Night Market
Eating at the different restaurants just basically chilling out and relaxing

This hotel is impeccably clean and service is great.Really friendly and helpful people. The breakfast won't disappoint- fruit, coffee, omelettes etc. The windows of the hotel actually face inward into a courtyard so you do hear people closing their doors etc. Overall, great value if you don't mind a five to ten minute walk to the action. I would recommend it for sure.

Centrally Located Hotel with Friendly Services

The room I had looked nothing like the picture featured - It looked more dated actually. The Hotel forgot to pick us up from the airport but after a call, they came and picked my group up. The exterior of the hotel looked more modern and inviting than the interior but the service of the staff was warm although not all staff speak or understand English well. The hotel corridors were quite dark and I had a room where the room had to be slammed a little tighter to ensure that it locked properly. I was greeted by a trail of ants from the windows to one corner of the room. The shower was spacious and clean. Wifi was good but not as fast as some of the other places I stayed in Laos. The breakfast was alright; more Asian than Western with emphasis on noodles soup and fried rice. The biggest draw of the Hotel is its proximity to most of the major sites in Vientiane - most are within half an hour walking distance.

My stay at the family boutique hotel was very pleasing and relaxing. The beds are so comfortable you won't want to get up for breakfast in the morning but whatever you do don't miss it. The breakfast is no doubt the best I have had at any hotel with a wide array of continental food that will please anybody and make you think you're back at home than in another country. The staff are very welcoming, friendly, nice helpful people that you couldn't ask for anyone better to accommodate your needs and are never to busy and always willing to give general advice on anything you need to know. I had bad ankle and was badly limping when I arrived and hotel staff took me to a clinic because they cared about my wellbeing. Situated in the centre of the city and a few minutes walk to the local restaurants. If I shall ever go back to Vientiane I will stay at this hotel again. Nothing I can fault about it and only ten minutes drive from airport.

The hotel is just want you need for a nice and inexpensive stay in Vientiene.

Staff and pleasant and happy to help.

Some rooms have windows that open to the hallway (it was combined with another hotel recently). So I would try to get a room with a real window. Note that not all rooms have safes. But the hotel offers free lockers that are situated in the managers office.

The junior suites are the more modern and renovated room (but a bit more pricey). We had the deluxe room with a true window, and it was great. TV hardly worked, but you are in Laos to watch TV.

The location is within walking distance for most things.

Overall we had a pleasant stay.

Don't recommend it.

As soon as I walked into the room and noticed that it had no windows to the outside --but to an inner hallway, I called reception and asked for a different room and was immediately told that it was not possible, even though there were rooms available one floor up. I even mention I have Expedia Gold and was still told there was nothing that could be done. To say that the room was stifling would be an understatement.

Definitely do not recommend it.

I stayed at the Family Boutique Hotel on a 3 night stay in Vientiane, Check in was easy and staff were courteous. The lobby, dining area and rooms are just beautiful (I think they recently completed a renovation). My room was always clean and housekeeping was attentive. The breakfast buffet surprised me with fresh fruit, juice, rice soup, soup, baked goods, cereal, 3 breakfast meats and a couple of main dishes. They even had a noodle soup and omelet station to order. Location was good but a little bit of a walk to the night market (I ended up renting a motorbike). I was especially happy with night clerk Nidnoil who was very friendly and helped me with directions, shopping, restaurant suggestions and even parking for my motorbike. Two things kept me from giving a 5 star rating. The internet was weak and unreliable in my room and my room had no in-room safe. Otherwise, this was the perfect hotel for me. I will stay at the Family Boutique hotel next time in Vientiane!

古いホテルなのでファシリティに関してはそれなり。シャワースペースの排水も良好で部屋も広くて快適でした。
ラオスのホテルはアメニティ類が少ないので持参する必要があります。ここは髭剃りがありません。日本のビジネスホテルを想定してはいけません。バックパッカー貧乏旅行のつもりで所持品の準備をした方が無難。

深夜着の飛行機が更に遅れてホテルに着いたのが1時半頃でしたが受付のチェックイン対応は無駄がなくスムーズに終わり、疲れていたこちらとしてはとても良かったです。

部屋は清潔で広いです。
シャワーはレインシャワーのみで水圧も弱めなので少々不満がありました。

朝食はバイキング形式で卵料理とコーヒーは作ってもらうスタイルでした。
朝食会場の広さに比べて料理の品数が少ないのでもう少し種類を増やしてもらえたら嬉しいです。

従業員の人は笑顔で皆とても親切でした。
