The hotel is exceptionally well located in the centre of town. The rooms are spacious and the staff are wonderfully friendly and helpful. The breakfast is really very good. It is not a big 5 star hotel but it is perfect for wandering around Vientiane and the price point makes it even better. Great value.

Love the French Colonial architecture and furniture in the room. Suite has a lot of room to relax with comfortable bed and big bathroom. All staff friendly and helpful. Great location close to restaurants and the night market. Nothing negative overall...we would certainly stay again!

Check in was not ideal. We were checked into the wrong room and had to wait until the room I booked was prepared, however after the check in issue was resolved our stay was great. Good location great food and friendly responsive staff. Wifi could use improvement.

Central place of stay

I always enjoyed my stay here, excellent peaceful place. Staff is super friendly and good. Breakfast when guests are lots they make sure it’s well spread, otherwise it’s not so exiting.
This time my pickup at the airport did not work so promptly in spite of email confirmations.
I always enjoy my stay at this hotel and I would strongly recommend this place to everyone.

Clean and comfortable, but WiFi was problematic

The hotel was fine, and the room clean, but there were two things that lowered the score for me on overall - first the WiFi was so bad they might as well not have it. The other was that there was a construction zone right outside my window, which would not be so terrible accept that work continued into the night. You have to warn people about things like that, and at least try to give them a room without such disturbance.

The room was sizeable and clean. Unfortunately the view (and noise) was construction but they did finish at a decent time in the early evening so it didn't affect sleep. The service was friendly and breakfast was great with both a buffet, a la carte and coffee selection. Airport transfers were free and the location was central - walking distance to may sights. It's hard to fault this hotel. Highly recommended.

Lovely little hotel in Vientiane. The staff was super helpful, and the room was spacious and well appointed. The only negative was that there was a construction site directly across the street, but there isn't anything the hotel could really do about that. We only stayed one night before continuing on, but this was a great place to spend a night.

Dhavara is a charming place to relax at the end of a day exploring Vientiane. Great location, within a short walk of many good restaurants. Our room and the common areas were very clean and well-maintained. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The bed was nice and comfy. We would definitely stay here again.

Really great hotel from beginning to end. Hotel staff super welcoming when we checked in. Room was clean, spacious and beautiful. Exactly what you’d expect from a boutique hotel. Breakfast was great each morning. They had a good selection for the buffet and there was a menu you could order off of as well! I would recommend the English muffin with ham, egg, and cheese. They even offered a free shuttle service to the airport, just reserve in advance. Best boutique hotel I’ve ever stayed at!

Wouldn't change a thing.

From start to finish, this was a great place to stay. Shuttle driver met us at the airport with bottles of cold water, and it's a quick (10 min.?) trip to the hotel. Room was large, really comfortable, and the staff was very helpful. Included breakfast had many options, with both made-to-order and buffet selections. Location is perfect for seeing all the temples on the main street and for a large variety of restaurants within a 5-minute walk. Tuk-tuk out to the farther sites is easy to catch, because you're just off the main road.

Nice Hotel But Pricey

The staff at the front desk was very friendly. Even saved me a parking spot right in front of the hotel. The room was quite spacious and the AC worked very well. The layout of the room was alright. Bed not so comfortable but decent enough. There was construction going on in the building next over and we heard every single drill and nail being hammered in. Smell of cigarette smoke found its way into our room several times too. Morning breakfast is simple. I probably was not in the mood for breakfast because I looked at all the items but passed on all. The fruit & cookie tray from the night before was a nice gesture. Shower was nice but the glass screen on the side to block water doesn’t do that great of a job because water was all over the bathroom floor after every shower. The snack tray brought in night before I enjoyed and the cookies were fantastic! Check out was an unusual first time experience. I was told to wait so they could verify whether or not if the “mini bar” was used at all. Not a big deal but why have a customer wait when it gets added & billed to the invoice directly. The experience was overall decent and we enjoyed it. A bit pricey for what it is though.

Wonderful stay in Vientiane

My wife and I were pleasantly surprised with how beautiful this hotel was and how lovely the hotel staff were. Great location with many of the top sites of Vientiane within walking distance, Dhavara Boutique also offers many restaurants and a Night Market within close proximity. Nice Breakfast included. Rooms offer a unique blend of antique and up-to-date amennities. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay

An historic colonial style jewel in Vientiane

Dhavara hotel is an historic colonial style jewel amongst the dusty sleepiness of Vientiane. Very close to the river, lots of restaurants within walking distance. The hotel itself is splendidly decorated and the staff are just first rate -very attentive, helpful and great English. This hotel is small but the rooms are spacious. The bath filled quickly with very hot water - luxury! My only advice is that they renew their towels and robes and also add shampoo and conditioner to the bathroom as this was missing on all 3 days.

Wonderful hotel close to local restaurants

We loved the Dhavara Boutique hotel. It was very clean and the rooms were stunning. The we sat out on the balcony every morning before starting our day. The breakfast was really nice with lots of variety and the coffee always made to order.

Noi is a staff member who helped us arrange a day trip and he took care of everything, it was great. All the staff are very professional and helpful. Everyone greets you with a smile and we felt very safe. The hotel is walking distance to many different types of restaurants and is a close walk to the temples and park.

This is a really great place to stay. We found the staff right on top of things and made you feel comfortable. I needn't bother speaking Lao because their English was far more than necessary. The breakfast should cater for everyone, rooms clean, bed comfortable, very nice decor, helpful with our baby. Loved it.

DON'T BE FOOLED BY A FAKE \"BOUTIQUE\" HOTEL

Staying at the Dhavara \" boutique hotel\" was one of the most disappointing experiences we had while visiting Vientiane, as this hotel is a total trap. Upon arrival we were given only one plastic card key, which made it impossible to charge any of our gadgets when leaving the room. Later we demanded a 2nd key that was charged to our bill U$10,00.
Breakfast has very little variety of fresh fruits,breads,or juices. They serve powder juices, when you ask a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice they will charge extra U$9,00.

The staff is rude, and badly trained, we asked to see the hotel manager and we were told that the manager was on holiday. For a hotel that charges £130 a night it was a complete disgrace. It;s a hotel for Asian only, the shower head is about 1.50cm high so if you are taller than 1,70cm you will have to bent to have a shower or see yourself in the mirror.
Stay away from this hotel.

Just disappointing

The staff appear to have no clue about customer service. The reception desk is just inept. Breakfast was good but frankly when you pay these prices for a hotel in Vientiane it should be brilliant. I came back to Vientiane after 3 days in Luang Prabang and booked the best western for my final night. 1/4 of the price and better service, plus same location more or less. Don't go to dhavara.

Had never been before to Vientiane and this hotel was good location. Internet was the best we had out of 4 hotels we stayed at. Bath products good except no conditioner (hate that!). Air con average. Breakfast buffet good. Room and furnishings traditional and luxe feel. View from room not the best but room itself was huge and well equipped and very clean. No pool. What would improve the hotel from an impression would be clean up the front outside and maintenance eg painting tiles paving garden as it looks sad compared to the inside.

The hotel is well situated, just a short walk to the night market and many restaurants and shopping opportunities. The staff are very kind and helpful.

The suite we stayed in was enormous and comfortable. I did not see any of the standard rooms, but the suite was fantastic.

We would definitely stay here again.

The staff do an incredible job in a depressed, Communist environment. The staff made us genuinely feel welcome and appreciated as guests. We can thank the French for the scrumptious pastries and perfect baguettes. Properly functioning and balanced air conditioning is an oasis in this hot, humid city.

Super location, very pleasant hotel

Location would be hard to beat I would think, although I am not that familiar with the layout of the city. In the heart of what seems to be the shopping/restaurant/bar hub of Vientiane, and within walking distance of two of its three top tourist sights. Also a short stroll to the banks of the Mekong River.

The hotel itself offers good value at this price. Rooms are very spacious and comfortable, breakfast is really excellent, service seemed to be enthusiastic. Being critical, there are a few bits of the premises that need some maintenance -- but hey, we are in Laos. I suspect it is indeed among the top 2 or 3 hotels in the city, but they will need a bit more upkeep to maintain this status.

Recommended, and we shall quite likely choose to stay here again on our next visit to Vientiane

We stayed only one night here but were very happy with the hotel. It is right in the town centre and within walking distance of the park and the night market. The breakfast was great - both buffet and a la carte and the hotel arranged free transport back to the airport. Cannot fault the service. Excellent hotel

Tradional ,spacious and comfortable hotel. Fabulous and accommodating staff. Complimentary airport shuttle was a great bonus and making life easy. Location central to all needs too.....Restaurant,located on second floor, offers good selection of tempting dishes and the range of breakfast options caters for a wide range of tastes.
Wonderful reading / rest area worthy of a visit too.....

This place is a stones throw from Mekong river and evening market and restaurant etc. so literally 4 minutes away yet peaceful. We had a fifth floor room which was double the size of British hotel rooms.

Overall an excellent stay. The location was very convenient - close to sites and restaurants/ bars. The room was spacious and well appointed. WiFi was very quick. The only (minor) negative was that the front desk was surprisingly unhelpful - no help getting a taxi or arranging onward travel. This was a minor complaint. Overall, would definitely recommend.

英語に長けたスタッフは少なかったみたいですが、人の良さでカバーしてました。
部屋も居心地良かったです。
今までビエンチャンの同レベルのホテルに4箇所泊まりましたが、一番、良かったです。

방이 넓고ㅡ각자의 침대옆에 캐리어를 펼쳐 두어도 될 정도로 방이 넓었습니다. 나무바닥, 가구 등이 고풍스럽고 고급진 느낌이어서 좋았습니다. 욕실도 넓은 욕조를 포함하여 쾌적하였습니다. 조식부페도 음식을 주문하는 방식이었는데 개개인의 취향을 존중해 주는 느낌이어서 좋았습니다. 딱 한가지 아쉬운점은 와이파이였습니다.

Hotel de diseño céntrico y acogedor

Hotel con mucho encanto situado en la zona comercial de la ciudad. Es pequeño y encantador, buen servicio de restaurante. La habitación es amplia, la cama muy cómoda, todo es de madera, muy trabajada en el pais. Bañoa amplio y muy limpio. El personal es atento y muy servicial, como gesto de cortesía te trasladan sin coste al aeropuerto el dia que te vas. Fue una estancia muy placentera.
