The front desk staff were friendly and efficient. They booked my train tickets for me and arranged a taxi to the train station.
The location was great, within walking distance of both night markets and close to coffee shops and eateries.

Friendly and above-all helpful staff really make this place. But the icing on the cake is the restaurant - that chef really knows what she's doing with oriental flavours. And booking through Expedia gets you a 25% discount on food - very much recommended.

Transportation to and from the airport is convenient and easy - the staff are absolutely wonderful! I don’t think I have ever experienced a more polite, caring and service oriented team in a hotel. LeCharm meets all the criteria I look for in a hotel - clean, safe and in a convenient area.

Good location, close to the centre but in a reasonably quiet street. Rooms are a decent size, but a little dated and the mattress was very firm. Bathroom clean and well maintained. Pool area is lovely with shower, loungers and towels all provided. Staff were very nice, and let me use the pool after I checked out.

This charming hotel has a lovely breakfast and happy hour because of the staff and comfortable furniture. I used the pool, my balcony and had a cold quiet sleep to recover jet lag.

Very noisy outside my room. There is a restaurant outside and I heard people laughing and carrying on till late. Staff was helpful and moved me to another floor where it was nice and quiet. Avoid the 2nd floor.

Its a good hotel as always.. Well run and clean. But things have gotten a lot more expensive in Vientiane these days. The price for a Superior room seems about double from a year ago. I learned it is not worthwhile to get a standard room. Small and no balcony. Always get the superior room with balcony if the price works for you. The pool is quite large and pleasant and the fitness room is decent. Love the location.

Le Charme is exceptionally well run. Plumbing and electrical, bedding and furniture, service and food were all international quality. On Expedia the hotels in this part of the world tend to all look good so it is difficult to see the details. Fantastic location. Good price too. Highly recommend.

This wasn't a bad stay, but it wasn't the best. Room was far more tired than expected, especially for the price. Previously the best western, it has probably had its hey day. Staff were lovely, and the location was great. Pool area was nice but basic lounge chairs.

They provided two bottles of water per day for free but I would prefer they save the plastic and have a big water cooler to refill your own bottle. This goes for everywhere we stayed in Laos.

The bar that is part of the hotel has a nice little terrace to have a night cap. Prices were reasonable and good service.

I would choose to stay elsewhere on my next Vientiane visit as don't feel the amount paid matched the room quality. Had to ask the housekeeper to change the sheets as they had marks on them when we arrived

The staff are very helpful, and the rooms were spacious and clean but a bit worn. We had booked a double room aand were given two singles, which we have noticed is the trend in Laos, we were only staying one night so didnt mind, as we had checked in early.
The pool is fantastic, along with the bar area. We had an early morning train and left before breakfast was served, so unable to comment on that. Plenty of restaurants around the hotel and a night market. The location is very central.

A comfortable hotel in the centre of Vientiane. Very close to the night market area. The hotel is comfortable and clean.
The air-conditioning didn't work properly so we were upgraded to a superior room, which resolved the issue.
The service was good, breakfast was ok.
This is my second time in this hotel, and I will stay there again when in Vientiane.

I can thoroughly recommend this hotel if you're heading to Laos. The location is fantastic, it's less than a minute's walk to the night market, you can just step out the front door to some fantastic bars, restaurants, cafes and a nice relaxing massage. The staff were always friendly and helpful, the rooms were a good size and clean, the bed was comfortable, the breakfast was plentiful, the pool was just right to cool down on a hot afternoon.

From start to finish, I couldn't fault this hotel.... excellent value for money!

great hotel except for smoking policy!!!!!

On website they say 41 smoke free rooms. I wrote in my special request that my room must be smoke free. I also noticed some of the room descriptions said smoke. I asked if that was a typo? I got no response. When I arrived I was given a room on the 4th floor. After a few minutes I could smell the stench of cigarette second hand smoke. Went to front desk and complained told me person should not have been smoking in room. Apparently some rooms allow smoking. They got me another room on the second floor which is smoke free. I told them I travel to Thailand and China and hotels are smoke free!!! 3 other hotels I stayed at in Vientiane are also 100% smoke free. If they don’t go smoke free then they need to update their website. Breakfast was very good. Housekeeping also did a minor sewing repair job for me. Staff was very helpful.

Very neat and tidy, staff cleaned everyday. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The free shuttle bus to the airport was fabulous.
It is right in the middle of town so easy to walk to shops, right near Mekong and temples on every corner. The pool was very nice and much appreciated with the hot, humid weather. I was there on business and it was a happy coincidence that the place I was supposed to stay was booked out. This was a hundred fold nicer and more convenient.

Professional and friendly staff are really a plus point (except the one at the gym room, he looked depressed). Toothbrush only given 1 even though we had 2 pax in each of our 2 rooms. Breakfast is not bad except the cheese in the omelette (tasted a little weird but i might not be accustomed). Beds are comfortable. Television channels can be watched to a certain extent but no issues as there are sufficient channels. Apart from these small things, nothing else. Would love to go back!!

Great location - plus pool and workout room

I've stayed several places in Vientiane, but this is the place I enjoyed most. Breakfast was excellent and you could not ask for a better location, just steps away from the night market, and don't miss Via Via Pizza on the next block. The La Sud is one of the best pizzas I've ever had. The hotel is very clean and the people who manage the place are wonderful. For me, a big plus was the pool, not gigantic but definitely big enough to swim laps, and sparkling clean, and a nice workout room. Vientiane is a great place to visit, and the Best Western is a good place to stay while you're there. And visit the Buddha Park (you can take a public bus from the bus station if you're on a budget).

This hotel is located within walking distance to the night market and as well to the wats and eatery places,15 minutes walk to the morning market and shopping mall. The hotel General Manager, Ms. Sarah, always provide excellent services to her hotel guests. She will greet with a big smile and have a short talk with her guests. She is such a warm person and provide hospitality service. The front counter staff are polite and will connect with you whenever they see you. The breakfast are great with good selection and the cafe staff are polite. They make you feel like you are at home. Room is big with balcony and wifi connection is strong. My family and I enjoyed staying in this hotel very much. Thank you! You people make my holiday very enjoyable.

Location is excellent! Close to restaurants and morning market. Staff is very welcoming, breakfast was very good and cleanliness fine. Transportation to the airport was a nice surprise. Vientiane is really a welcome rest from the noise and traffic of southeast Asian cities. It's a unique place and offers a glimpse of an Asian city before mass development. Highly recommend a visit here and stay at this hotel.

Our room was huge with a lot space with a comfortable queen size bed. The A/C was quiet. During our stay, the frig was removed due to some electrical problem. The hotel is near the Mekong river and many small restaurants and street foods. The hotel breakfast was very nice and included in the rate.

What a great location for tourist, the river and food and drink are right out the door. Mr. Bounpasert Mounphoxay went above and beyond with quick email responses, arriving airport transfers and continually trying to make our stay comfortable and personable. The room was clean, bed very comfy, air conditioning excellent. Breakfast was made to order either American style or Hot Noodle Soup (which we hope everyone tries at least once).

You get what you pay for.

Choosing a Best Western is usually done because of price point, you get what you pay for. This Best Western was cheap compared to other mid range hotels in the area and I totally got what I paid for. It’s looking tired, the pool was out of use for cleaning, the breakfast was free but nothing to get excited about. Check in staff were amazing, the women who checked me in was so friendly and engaging, I think she must have been a boss type, I even got an upgrade. After her no other staff were remotely engaging, I think they have all been there too long and don’t care. The housekeeping boss lady who delivered the free fruit was also so very sweet. This hotel has everything you need and is a wonderful location, if it’s freshened up and the staff retrained it will be a formidable hotel in the area.

Very quiet and clean.

Hotel is on a quiet side street, just steps from the riverfront park. Old fashioned, with lots of wood. Elevator is a plus. Large room, great aircon. Bathroom was very clean and modern. Service was exemplary - even a free shuttle to the airport. Breakfast was great, with a selection of fresh fruits and juices and some terrific fresh bread, as well as a choice of made-to-order main. The only downside was that the bed was typical for SE Asia, i.e. very firm.
