Fabulous hotel. Stayed here for almost 2 weeks in total. Staff are friendly and nice, rooms are spacious and comfortable, good facilities (gym, sauna, pool), good wifi, great breakfast for the price. It's about 5-8 minutes to the BTS, and there are malls and supermarkets located all around the station. Not a luxury hotel and the building is a bit old, but it doesn't take away from the value. I would stay again in an instant. Thank you!

Front office staff brilliant helpful and professional JO and Ying excellent and other aswell JO went extra mile ordered for me a taxi to airport from his mobile as was no public taxis around much appreciated

Good customer service and they care about their hotel guests
As they are serving breakfast till 12 noon to satisfy their guests with jet lag and the ones sleep late

That unique service only at Amber hotel most hotels breakfast served till 10am

Lovely little hotel with all the basics you would want ideally located between the airport and town centre on one of the key avenues and skytrain line. Hotel staff are lovely, service great. The breakfast is nice but selection for a European diet could be widened.

I love their breakfast there. They hands down have the best breakfast. So many options and they made fresh breakfast.

The staffs are so lovely. They are so nice and attentive in every aspects. I love their staffs.

The rooms are nice and spacious. We have a toddler with is and the room was accommodating.

All and all I really have nothing bad to say about this place. It’s affordable, right next to On Nut station, self parking was perfect, and food was good.

We didn’t get to go to the pool or gym. I don’t know if it was good.

Amber hotel modern style quiet and very generous breakfast from 6am to 12pm you will find all varieties of food Asian European Chinese Thai
Also they got room service limited hours and food is delicious and a lot of varieties
Hotel staff all of them polite caring helpful and professional front desk and restaurant and housekeeping
Very impressed with quality and 5 star service
Got small terrace swimming pool and gym
Will come back again and recommend to friends and people I know

I enjoyed my stay here. It wasn’t far from the train station which allows you to travel throughout Bangkok. The staff were excellent and attentive. The price was great for the room option I chose. I would book this hotel again. There is a restaurant that I didn’t make the effort to try. With the many options around the area, I was okay with that.

It is also located in a quieter part of the city which I loved, not a lot of noise.

The staff were really polite and went out of their way to be helpful. Room was clean, and the beds were amongst the most comfortable I’ve been in in a hotel in a long time. Lots of convenient touches like vanity mirrors, smart TV, and USB charging ports in the nightstands. Location is ok, close to the SkyTrain and lots of stores and restaurants around, but far from any touristy things.

Rm 702 = same showerdoor entry problem, as Rm 402

visited bkk & stayed here, many times this year & historically. Rm 702 has a better toilet-bowl placement, than Rm 402. However, both Rm 702 suffers from the SAME glass showerdoor -entry& -exit, with a small than average entrance. If you was a person of larger diminsions, you would suffer here. Once again, problem can be resolved , by RAISING the glass shelving by OVER 15cm !! Otherwise... staff, service, location & amenities are all excellent. Not many faults, but these can be resolved quickly...! Good luck, Hotel Amber !

Shower cubicle could have bigger entrance

visited bkk & stayed at Hotel Amber many times.. room upgraded to suite 402. spacious & clean as always. Only 2 problems: location of toilet-bowl , too close to hand basin (due to plumbing) & the entrance to shower cubicle for a large-person is a “tight-squeeze”. If glass shelving was raised by 15cm, problem would be solved. Otherwise location to train, shops, restaurants & downtown is perfect.

Hotel did not advise of renovations to pool, restaurant and hotel and were not willing to compensate and said we could move to another hotel. We booked 3 rooms and there were 4 kids, 4 adults including two seniors in our party and as we were there for two days it was hardly worth moving to another hotel. As it rained a lot we had to stay indoors and listen to renovation works. We had to eat breakfast that we paid for in our room. I would not stay here again as I feel the hotel could have been honest about the reno works and not disappoint guests.

Huge disappointment after years

I stayed long periods of time at this hotel before. They have always been above avarage. After a year break I only stayed due to layover literally 8 hours, but it was a huge mistake. Room was dirty, trash was not emptied, toilet was clogged and not working, check in staff was not friendly, he ignored everything I asked at 4 am. And all room issues aside, They are under construction and they start 9am literally next room with loud drills banging against the wall. Impossible to stay at this hotel or even let people book for this hotel at this time. It is not fair for a guest to pay to be disrespected and disturbed all day. It is unfair rent rooms while you are fully out of sync and not keeping standards you used to have.

This hotel should not be operating in its present state! There is a construction going on in the hotel and I do understand the reason. But they should not be operating during the construction!!! There is no breakfast available, can’t use the swimming pool, sauna and the gym. You can’t even stay stay in your room because of the noise of the construction. The staff is nice, and I understand it’s not their fault.

We choose this hotel for the location close to On Nut bts. It is very easy, only 5 minutes walk.
The room was ok, cleaning could be better. I think that the cleaning ladies had to work too fast and not enough time to clean good.
Breakfast buffet was good, I appreciated the egg station but missed yogurt and cereals.
Please change the place mats for breakfast, they are old and dirty.
But overall good hotel.

Staff was okay, nothing special, sometimes a bit aloof, but oh well. People comment all the time about Tesco, first, it's not right around the corner, but alas, who cares, there is shopping everything in Thailand. This hotel was further out then I am used to. Room is old and weathered and beaten down. Scratches, rust and the like everywhere and generally not attended to very well. Bed is basically a board with a thin mattress. Incredibly uncomfortable. Breakfast was about as good as any other in this price range, again, service was mediocre at best. Overall, for the price, you can do better.

Ok it’s cheap and a good location, right near a Tesco and the sky train station. If you don’t need much in terms of amenities then you’ll be fine. For me, the bed was like a brick with a sheet on it and my back still hasn’t quite recovered (I woke up from pain and numbness on the side I’d be sleeping on). The rooms were dirty, bathroom was gross. The hotel offers a free smoothie to anyone who leaves a good review so keep that in mind. I got on the elliptical in the fitness center and the foot plate fell off. I walked up to the pool on the first day and there was a dirty diaper sitting on the edge. Sigh. Breakfast was cheap, and food was good enough, but not really tasty. Lastly, don’t use their laundry service. I feel I got ripped off - $60 USD for a small bag of kids clothes.

Stay for moderate price overall was well as could be expected for price. Service professional and good. Brought to attention of front desk bathroom door glass window broken and replace with saran wrap. Bed comfortable, location good for driving a car to. Disapointment on lack of small details. No plastic laundry bag and did not have high chair for restaurant guest. Restaurant food mediocre, but adequate. Best part is 2 professional coffee machines for breakfast.

Weird staff: When we got the room and tried to settle down, there was a housekeeper used her card to enter our room with no prior notice (i.e. knock the door). She just came in and check out the fridge. We guessed she did not know there was someone in the room but better knocked on the door if she is not sure.

We don't think this hotel worth 3.5 stars.

Staffs need intense customer service training

The location of the hotel is the only advantage, walking distance to BTS, Tesco Lotus, Century Plaza. The biggest liability is their staffs; cold, not friendly, not smiling and some are impolite. I had some few issues in my room, they were able to fix but never heard any apology. When we checked-in, we smelled the sewage at the parking area.

Okay Stay with a Good Connection to BTS

We have stayed for 3 nights.

Unfortunately our room (218) had an unpleasant smell and if you turned on the rain shower a good amount of water sprinkled horizontal out of the shower area to wet the wall.

Apart from these shortcomings the room is spacoius, the bed is comfortable, the balcony useful if you are a smoker and the wifi works properly.
The air conditioner works soundless and good!
You get a coffe/tea maker with complimentary coffee/tea and bath amenities.
Rooms are not that good soundproofed and you can hear the opening and closing of room doors quite clearly.

Summary the rooms are a little bit worn out, but still in a manageable condition.

The breakfast has a good variety and is overall good, the staff at the reception is friendly and helpful.

You have about a 5 minuntes walk to the BTS station \"On Nut\" where also a 7/11 and a big Tesco with a food court are located.

Taking all those into account is the package you get for the price okay.

Advice: Ask at the reception desk to call you a Taxi meter cab instead of taking one from the hotel. We went Sunday morning to the Suvarnabhumi airport and paid only 250 THB instead of 700 THB.

So I know is westerners have a lot of standards when It come hotels. I really didn't want to say nothing negative about this hotel because common it was just only like 18 dollars at night so why complain but... so when I first took the BTS train I really didn't know it was going to be one of the farthest station, it was definitely not close to downtown. We would always have to take the BTS and to get to the turistic area will take us at least 20 min. Hotel is not in that bad area but also nothing much to do around beside a little plaza and th station. Checking was great, we even got our room a little bit earlier than th checking time. Getting into the room was just lik the picture very big for the price and the bathroom had a rain shower, which I loved It. My only negative comments is that the bed was EXTREMELY HARD. I read that reviews but I couldn't believe how hard it was, it was literally just a box spring, there is no real mattress. Second bathroom had some dirty spot by the sink and tower need to be replace ASAP, they are not white anymore and some had holes. In overall it was just ok, I'm sure for the price there is gotta be a better place and don't get me wrong is not that is really bad it was a cute hotel but need some improvements.

We stayed here on our last night so we was near the airport and near mbk. Was a nice stay, would recommend and right near sky train

Excellent location, good service.

Excellent breakfast buffet. But it is by far better to pay for it as you go instead of with the reservations: it makes it much cheaper. And the absolute bargain is the \"early bird\" rate, before 8 am, at 99baht.
Limited fitness equipment: insufficient dumbbells, and the only multi machine is missing parts, etc.
The pool and pool area, superbly located on the roof, is really too small: you can not swim in it, and is crowded with 4 people in there.

Good for price

Got the suite, was very nice and spacious. Clean, cold aircon.. And alowed me to check in at 11:30 which was nice

The 2 issues i had, the shower was super temperamental, getting the hot and cold right, just couldn't.. Either too hot or cold.... Had simular issues at there pattaya hotel.. Not sure if its the system they use when refurbishing... Although not a deal breaker just annoying..

And the sofa was not so comfortable sinking towards the center.....

Location, there is little around and about a 5-10 mi walk to bts...

In saying these negative, it would not stop me from staying again, just a couple things to be tweaked...

Nice hotel quite near to BTS station but.......

Front staff is okay only. They are not very helpful because they cannot provide wall adaptor and said that they only have 1 adaptor for the whole hotel and not available.
Room cleanliness I good and hot shower is strong and consistence. Double bed is make of 2 single beds joint together and therefore, it was not comfortable caused of the uneven of the 2 mattress. 10 to 15 mins walk to the nearest On Nut bts station. Other than the above all seem to be good and worth the money.

Great Value and close to train

Great location off On Nut and close to great food court yard. Hotel was very modern. Reception spoke pretty good English and we're generally polite and friendly. I'd stay here again.
