My family was impressed with the staff especially Davide at the front desk and the restaurant staff for breakfast. Alessandro was amazing and flawless and cared for us each day. Donatella and the other servers were wonderful. The options were terrific…and tasted great.

The only negative is the disparity between the rooms conditions and amenities. The single room needed painted and was tight—especially for spending $2500 for one week. The other rooms my family had were great and they had surprise extras.

My only complaint was there were no power sockets at both bedside cabinets which is very unusual as needed for charging phones, cameras etc, had to unplug tv on sideboard opposite bed to use socket and also buy a travel adapter as there was no usb port, there was one thankfully in bathroom for styling tong, bedroom was very dated.

Beautiful property with elegant rooms. Rooftop restaurant is lovely with an attentive staff. The outdoor area was not open for full service due to the time of year, but looked very nice for a visit in the warmer seasons. If coming in on the train as we did - you can't beat the location - convenient to all the sites of Florence.

Hotel Baglioni is conveniently located right by the train station and the T2 tram to/from the airport. It is a short walk from the Duomo and the surrounding attractions. The hotel has a lot of old world charm and comfort. Staff were friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was very good. It is a large hotel with many rooms so the breakfast room can feel crowded. The view of the Duomo from the breakfast room on the 5th floor is incredible. I would definitely stay here again.

Hotel is in an excellent location near train station and so easy access when we arrived in florence. Has a lot of character and room was good. Could have done with easier access to charge phones and other tech within room. The bathroom was clean but could use a new coat of paint. Great and powerful shower. Very good breakfast and staff were very polite and friendly. I would stay there again.

Our stay was ALMOST perfect. We got the wellness suite, and the sauna was broken for our entire stay. We asked to get maintenance in and check on it 3 times and they didn’t fix it because they thought it was working because they wouldn’t stay in the room long enough to make sure that it was working. We then asked turn down service one night to make sure that the sauna was on when we got back from a dinner, and reception didn’t do this. We were given a complimentary bottle of wine for our troubles but then no bottle opener, and we called for someone to get it open for us, but then reception said we needed to go up to the bar in order to open it which wasn’t the best service. We learned our lesson. The hotel was definitely a 4-star service… but then again we’ve had better service at other 4-star hotels. My husband and I will come back, but maybe we will just stay in a cheaper room that doesn’t have a sauna, and have a shorter stay.

Our stay at Grand Hotel Baglioni was nothing short of perfection. The staff were helpful and our room was clean. We had our complimentary bottle of wine waiting for us after a long travel.
The hotel location was important to us as we wanted a stay at place that we could have access to the main sites. The hotel is literally across Santa Maria Novella train station. It’s a short walk to the Duomo, shops, cafe, grocery store (Conad) and even a self-serve laundry.

5 minutes away from the train station & tram stop made for Grand Hotel Baglioni the perfect location for our 3 night mini-break for Christmas.

On an arrival, our rooms were ready early and check-in was super quick. Our rooms were clean & tidy, much larger than expected and had all the amenities you would need. One room was prefect temperature but one was quite hot (air conditioning wasn't on for this time of year which was understandable). The beds were quite hard but we all slept like babies after a wine or two. Only the news in English on the TV but we weren't there to watch TV. They also had a mobile phone in the room which contained links to the tourist attractions, maps, free international calls and you were even invited to take it with you when you let the hotel sightseeing - never seen this before ever.

Breakfast is on the 5th floor and the views are amazing. The selection for breakfast was fantastic; one of the best buffet breakfasts we've had to be honest. From espressos to prosecco, from salmon to sausages and from cereal to fruit.

When entering/leaving the hotel we were always greeted with a smile and a \"buon giorno\" from the reception staff and porters.

Check out was just as pleasant as check in.

We would definitely recommend the Grand Hotel Baglioni and would stay there again if we ever returned to Florence.

Impressive hotel, loved the mini bar, room very clean. The device provided in the room for exploring the city looked amazing - unfortunately ours wouldn’t charge so don’t know how good this was. We did let reception know and they said the next day we would have a new one but it did t happen. Did not detract from our stay. Beautiful views from restaurant. Good location. Taxis from the airport are expensive!!

Old style but impeccably kept hotel. Like the good old days and it is well located, just two blocks from the train station and three blocks from the Duomo.
The rooms and hotel in general are beautiful. The operation is run great and the service is very efficient but don’t expect to get any smiles from the personnel. They do their job, well done but there is a lot of arrogance still.
Also the rooms don’t have easy access plugins. I have to use only the one in the bathroom, the others are behind heavy furniture. But I managed fine.
The rooms have stocked mini bar that is all complimentary and they do the turndown service adding the chocolates on the pillows (like the good old days of hospitality).
But all been said, amazing place, amazing hotel I will definitely come back every time I go to Florence. Loved the attention to details.

The location of the hotel is excellent — very convenient and close to everything. The reception staff were also great: friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay.
However, I was quite disappointed with a few aspects. Although the minibar items were complimentary, I was surprised to learn that extra bottles of water were not free. Not only did I have to pay for them, but I also had to call both the bar and room service to find out how to get them. When I finally reached someone from room service, I was told that I had to go up to the 5th floor to collect the water myself. Only when I arrived there did I find out that the water was chargeable — quite inconvenient and confusing for a 4-star hotel.
Cleanliness was also not up to standard. When I first arrived, I noticed two strands of hair in the sink, which was disappointing and gave a poor first impression.
The hotel itself feels rather old. I stayed on the first floor and paid extra for a garden view, but throughout the night I could hear the sound of water running through the pipes, which made it difficult to sleep.
Overall, while the location and staff were great, the cleanliness, facilities, and room quality didn’t meet my expectations for a 4-star property. If I were to stay again, I’d avoid paying extra for rooms with additional “facilities,” as they didn’t really add much value to the experience.

Nice breakfast selection with beautiful views over Florence. Hotel is very dark and moody - kind of place Dracula would stay. Makes it a bit difficult to see belongings in the room. Very clean and everything in good condition. Large spacious room with big bathroom. Shower is over bath, with a very slippery floor, no room for handrail and bath has steep sides that have no place to sit shampoo etc. No full length mirror and weak hairdryer. Weirdly despite the large bathroom the toilet is placed up against a curtain. Reasonable amount of street noise which doesn’t bother me but would some. Very convenient location for tourist activities. Safe area. Enjoyed staying here as a woman on my own.

old building with bad sound proof. One of the bathtub faucet broken. Charger is not working, you need to try multiple times in order to charge your phone. I asked how I can turn on the heater, front desk told me it is too early to turn on the heater, so there is not heater.
However, they do have very strong heater in lobby and their restaurant, but not for our room…
They touch and moved our items on desk and bed when doing the cleaning. They throw all our our clean underwear and clothing on the dirty sofa which looks black in order to make the bed. We complained at the front desk, they told me someone will reach to us for this problem, but actually no. We checkout 3 days after this complaint, no one reach to us…

We loved our stay here. Staff was friendly and helpful. When we asked for an upgrade they went out of their way to help us. Breakfast is extra unless you include it in your rate. I’d suggest including it. We wished we had because it was super yummy with lots of options. Coffee is only in your room otherwise, which is more instant which we didn't like. Otherwise you’ll pay for it. There’s cafes close by if you prefer to wait. Train and bus stations are an easy 7 minute walk. We walked to everything and found the hotel location to be perfect for us. We’d stay and recommend to others.

Our rooms AC was broken for the 3 day stay. Staff told us nothing we could do. The whole room would shake very loudly multiple hours straight for both of the nights. The staff told us it was fine. I would upload videos of the room shaking if possible. The ceiling and walls would rumble.

great location. The rooms are spotless and the staff excellent. The only issue are the placement of the electrical plugs. When the rooms were upgraded, the electrical work could have been improved. This, however, is a minor detail. We've stayed at this hotel many many times and our stay has always been pleasant.
