I like the location of this hotel it is walking distance from the park. When we checked in the staff is friendly and helpful. But the things that I don’t like is our breakfast experience the service staff is just standing while our table has a pile of empty plates. We ate dinner in the restaurant as well and we waited for 10mins before they acknowledged us and he forgot our drinks to go with my steak. Lastly is the room service which they never refill our shampoo and soap. Overall it is interesting experience.

It was an amazing experience. We took a lot of photos in the lobby area. The food served for breakfast was delicious! I had fun with my family. We had to pay 200 pesos per hour since we checked out after 12 noon.

Hotel and our room Location is excellent. Service is very good. Room is very ordinary considering it is a Superior room lacking basics in amenities like trash bins, foot towels (though they provided on our second day), no bidet in toilet, complimentary bottled water was only 2 when I paid for a quadruple superior room for 4 persons. Breakfast is ok, nothing special but on peak season they easily get packed but they act fast enough to improve to situation. Overall, still recommended due to location walking distance to Burnham Park. just dont expect to much of your room.

Horrible experience. The room bathroom smelled disgusting the moment we walked in. The mattresses were far too firm and the springs dug into our backs. The pillows felt like rocks. The staff had to be called for everything (hair dryer, extra towels, toilet paper, etc.). The included breakfast buffet had a small selection of food and most of the time it was out of food. There were dirty dishes everywhere and they used some sort of military looking plastic gas jug containers for serving drinking water and juice. Hated everything about this hotel.

Other reviewers have indicated that the room they they booked was not the room the got when they checked in. ME TOO! I booked a superior room with a balcony. Based on the pictures I saw posted I expected king bed, balcony, updated comfort room (white tile, new vanity...) and updated furnishings. It was very disappointing, not clean and everything in the room had seen better days. Most concerning was the hot water heater in the CR that did not work two of the three mornings I attempted to take a shower. I believe the issue was not enough water flow to the third floor. Additionally, The water heater and the electrical receptacle it was plugged into was located in the shower stall and was not grounded or protected by a ground fault interrupter to protect any one using the shower from electrical shock. There was also an exposed wire above the bed but not as concerning since it is not a wet space and people would be reaching up to grab wires above a bed. The only adequate thing in the bedroom was the mattress which appears to have been replaced in the last 3 years. The buffet get a lot of high marks from other reviewers. It is all you can eat and has a decent variety of foods traditionally available for a Filipino breakfast. None of the items served were especially delicious or even flavorful. It was some of the most boring Filipino food I have ever eaten. I cannot imagine anyone wanting to eat endlessly from that breakfast buffet. Your hard earned money is better spent elsewhere.

It has been many years since i have stayed at a hotel that did not spend a few pennies to supply shampoo!
The least they could have done was tell me that in advance and i would have brought sone!
A bit too much mold in the bathroom too

Was thinking the room has an air conditioner. Very much frustrated since the weather if the vicinity needs an air condition. Requested a roll of bath tissue they were still charging me. The bathroom is not very impressed as I was very much impressed of the lobby decorations. Not enough towels, pillows and toilet kits. I can say the hotel attracts customers by the lobby display not the convenience of the customers. I can say that the hotel cannot be recommended to other customers. I can rate it as number 3 from 1-10 the higihiest.

rooms, buffet, building are great! But at the last few minutes while checking out, the room card key did not work. I was told it is automatically disabled at the checkout time. That is very very very bad!!! That is not putting the customer first. I actually left my phone being charged, stepped out for 5 min. Then I could not get in anymore. I had to wait 15min for the supervisor. If you are promoting your hotel internationally especially to balikbayans like my family, then you need to level up the expectation to North America standards. The room key card should not be disabled. (period)

First time to stay in Baguio, this hotel near the park and was good for our needs this trip, room a little cramped and bathroom small but functional, shower too low for 6ft tall guest, break fast room not seperated from function room so on our stay the early start of a conference presentation boomed in but overal acceptable for the price.

No parking the first day because the place was full. I had to leave my car keys with the desk so they could move my car around. Breakfast buffet was cold food that should have been served hot. For this reason alone I would not stay here again. You have to climb 2 floors before you get to the elevator.

Hotel too big for the location

Big hotel, which can not accommodate sufficient parking at the location. Staff was friendly but not overly helpful. Booked a room with balcony, but there were no outside furniture. Room was nice for the rest. Parking was a crime, all cars double parked! Breakfast was not up to standard of what could be expected of this size hotel, no fresh juices, jams, cheese etc... that is normal for continental breakfast. Next time spend a little more money and will book the manor hotel, not downtown.

One of the best places to stay in Baguio City.

Staff are very courteous and accommodating. Front desk and guards are quick to respond with our needs and timely to accommodate our requests. I always appreciate great service but the hotel itself will not be outdone. Hotel is very near to prime eats and tourist spots. It is very clean; from lobby to hallways and specially our room. Room is very spacious and has this relaxing vibe with its ample lighting; not dark but not too bright. Buffet breakfast may not have that wide of variety but it is delicious and enough.

A Decent hotel with air conditioned rooms

Easy check in. I arrived earlier than the check-in time, and I was directly ushered to the room. All the check in requirements were accomplished in the room, which was very convenient. Parking wasn't a problem this time, but on a previous stay during peak-season, i had to park along the steep driveway, which was only a minor inconvenience.

Very wonderful hotel

We checked in in this wonderful hotel from Aug 13-17. We had the executive twin.
I highly recommend this hotel when you're in Baguio. My experienced was incredidble. Staffs are very nice, kind, polite and very accommodating. The food was superb. The room is clean and neat. The bathroom is very beautiful as well as the bed. If i only could give 10 stars in this hotel i really would love to mark it.

Stayed only for one night but definitely had a great stay. Hotel staff are accommodating, lobby is well lit and spacious, restaurant served a good amount and variety of food, ambiance is pleasing. One thing that I didn't like was our room smelled bad. The foul smell stayed for quite some time 'til I sprayed my perfume to deodorize the room. Another thing is, there is one part of the hotel that doesn't look as good as the other hallways. There was a particular hallway that looked sketchy and another part looks like it was under construction. Nonetheless, my family and I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. I

The hotel staff were very courteous and attentive to customer needs. My sister in law who is wheel-chair bound was attended to by the staff carrying her wheelchair and assisting her to climb the stairs to the cafe. Were it not for the lack of an elevator that stops on the floor of the cafe, I would have given a rating of four.

Lovely room but a couple of problems!

Usually I am sure this hotel is very nice. Our room was lovely and comfortable, good wifi, nice bathroom etc. Good location opposite the park. Nice breakfast and staff very nice and courteous. Unfortunately we were there while they were doing building works with heavy drilling still until 10.30 at night until we asked them to stop. And we had no tv signal and wasn't offered to change rooms until the next day when we were going to leave the next morning anyway. We asked for some compensation as the drilling was too much and still not had any resolution after two weeks which is disappointing. Am sure any other time everything would be fine to stay here and such a shame as we were looking forward to a bit of peace after Manila

Rooms were as described in the pics. Attendants were nice. I paid more eating in Army Navy than in their restaurant. Its affordable. Room rate I got was worth every penny.

Though we had to wait for 30 mins to an 1 hr because they probably thought they wouldn't expect us anymore. We got there on time and rooms were not available yet so we have to seat in their lobby for that long.

Regardless, I went home happy and satisfied. I am thinking of looking for another hotel next time, but I might end up in Venus Parkway Hotel still.

Great location and service.

Our room was in the new wing. It had lots of natural light, no carpet (I do not like carpets), and the beds are big and comfortable. The only problem we encountered was the bathroom. The sliding door didn't slide smoothly, resulting to abrupt banging of the door to the wall. I have a feeling the glass will break soon if they don't fix it. Also the water faucet in the shower was not secure so it fell off while I was in the shower! I was able to screw it back in but it never should have happened. But that's very minor. Service-wise, everyone was topnotch. They allowed me to check in early (9 am) since the room was already available. The breakfast buffet was impressive. I could have stayed longer at breakfast if we didn't have plans. I will stay here again. TAKE NOTE, make sure to book the new rooms. The old rooms are musty and dark. I hope they renovate those too.

Staff were generally efficient friendly and courteous. For the price the buffet breakfast was good. Parking was a problem because it was limited and we were there when the hotel was fully booked. You offset this The guards were extremely helpful. The room was tidy. However the sliding bathroom door design proved a bit of a problem as it was hard to close and noisy and loud when you close it. Our room had an airconditioner which was a plus since most Baguio hotels dont. However the window curtain went all the way to the floor and covered the aircon vents.

Initially, was so disappointed with the hotel. They placed us in a room where the cable was not working. I feel that the renovation was poorly designed. The aircon was behind thick curtains. You wouldn't know where it is. They placed lights in odd areas, like under the table. Elevators are not working at all. after walking the whole day, you still need to climb the stairs to get to the hotel which is somewhat above a hill. Then climb more stairs going to your room.

The hotel staff however, was very helpful. Especially the guy from housekeeping the first night we were there. While everyone tried to fix the cable, he provided us an option to change room. He actually saved our day. If he didn't do that extra step, we would've been so disappointed.

Nice hotel but under renovation

I booked ahead but was placed in a room at the 4th floor. Then, I learned that there was no working elevator because they were in the process of replacing it with a new one. Then, when the porter brought my bags to the room in the 4th floor and opened the door, the room was in a mess. It had not yet been cleaned up after the previous occupant. So that's when I asked to be transferred to a room in the 2nd floor also with a balcony. I was disappointed that they did not inform that there was no elevator, and then had the inconsideration of placing me in the 4th floor. I am 55 years old and have rheumatoid arthritis, so this was doubly inconvenient and inconsiderate. Otherwise, the food is alright and the rooms are clean. The balcony has a nice view of Burnham Park and is centrally located. But the staff irresponsibility and lack of consideration is really annoying

Location is worth the stay

This hotel was going through renovation (for the better) and even the elevator was not working but all-in-all I enjoyed the stay very much. If you are driving this is a good location, easy to get in and out unlike some other better hotels near the crowded areas.
Breakfast was above my expectations, and offered a 2nd floor outside patio or inside dinning. Baguio is very pleasant temperature so outside is nice and cool in the mornings.
The park is right across the street and most people that live here are up and exercising at 6am. This is unlike any other area of the Philippines and I highly recommend visiting this place. Wish I would have stayed longer.

A hotel just around burnham park

We had a nice stay at venuspark hotel. Just right for the money spent. We stayed in the old building where the entrance is not that nice not to mention the scary elevator. The room is ok its clean and not that spacious. The staff are very much ok for they are friendly and attends to ur needs and queries promptly. Food is just ok.. not so much. Over all i will give it 3.5/5.

Worth every cent!

I will definitely go back to this hotel for the following reasons:

1. Location - it is very near burnham so you'll have a lot of places to go
2. Food - The breakfast buffet was perfect
3. Staff - very accomodating
4. Guest Room - the executive twin bed is cozy and has comfortable pillows/duvet.

I was scheduled to stay for 6 nights, but at the last minute I wasn't able to get on the airplane and was unable to notify the hotel manager until 2 days later. Nevertheless, my highly unusual situation was evaluated and I was granted the opportunoity to move my reservation to a later date with no additional cost. This level of graciousness is also highly unusual and reflects the attitude of all staff. I couldn't have imagined any better resolution. This will be my hotel of choice everytime I visit Baguio.

Nice hotel but TV not working

This was a nice larger hotel with a nice reception hall. The rooms were in different buildings of the hotel and sometimes not easy to find. The breakfast was good, with ready-to-order omelette' and wafers. They also had some cereal and milk, plus fruits and good juices. The rooms were basic and the TV was not working.

Venus Parkview Hotel is an old downtown hotel in need of a makeover. It is getting just that but it badly needs a good interior decorator and design consultant. Done right it has the potential for becoming a great boutique hotel in Baguio. But it does not look like it's the case.

Rooms facing Burnham Park have balconies and offer the best view and feel. Sides and back rooms are right on the wall and windows of the next building. Literally, you can see the occupants of the crowded dormitories. It's claustrophobic.

Be prepared to climb several stairs and walk (short) from buildings 1 and 2. The elevator is not only old, it's not working! It takes you from the ground floor to the 5th floor, without stopping in-between floors. It's an unnecessary stress test.

Breakfast buffet is so-so. There's nothing to write home about, except maybe for the drip (coming from the ceiling) beside the cream of broccoli and cucumber soup. Yuck!

However, what is great about this hotel is it's staff - they are a group of hardworking, dedicated, service-oriented, quick, efficient, courteous and always smiling people. This is why I might come back. If I will. Maybe I will.

PS... If you allow smoking outside, do it right - create a smoking section with ashtrays and AWAY from the entrance... And the bed, it's so uncomfortable - I think they are still using their old spring mattress... The wall mirrors and soap dish are broken - can they not be replaced?

Not senior citizen friendly as hotel is elevated from street level and you have to use a steep stairway to be able to walk on the street below. Also, the sidewalk along the side of the hotel is very narrow (hardly any) and dirty making it hazardous to walk to nearby restaurants. Also, the lone elevator is very old and shaky...makes us nervous everytime we use it. Rooms, service, food are okay.
