There are bugs in the room. We got few bites in different areas of our bodies. Weve discovered some roaches too. No problem with the personnel except for that one lady (who i assume is the supervisor) who was condescending.

This place had over 25 step straight up to even get to the check in area way to much for disabled or older people no elevators in sight. Very disappointing to say .It took over 3 days to get our money back from these people. We felt they were not telling the truth about there place. The pictures are very different from what it looks like in real life. I would never ask anyone to stay there , just no good.

Good Backup Hotel When Your Favorites are Booked!

This is an older hotel but it is quite well kept up. The location is good. They nickel and dime you from the reservation to the arrival for little things which I disapprove of. Their breakfast is adequate and they have flexibility in the offerings, which is nice. Everything worked well for me. The water could have been a bit warmer and my room overlooked a quite busy street, which limits the ability to enjoy the wonderful cool Baguio air, but overall was not to bad. I picked this place as a backup on a very busy weekend when all my favorite places were booked.

Location is ideal for getting around downtown. Staff is grudgingly attentive, food is awful,amenities do not exist. Cleanliness is poor. This was my 5th stay at this hotel, in my opinion it has gone from fair to undesirable. I am already looking for something better fo my next visit.

Endless Stairs!

Baguio isn't level. You're walking up and down all the time. And if you're from sea level, that can get you winded pretty quickly since there is less oxygen at this level. When you arrive at this hotel, you need to walk up a hill and around the block from parking, then walk up TWO flights of stairs to get to the lobby. Chances are, you'll need to walk up or down yet another flight or two to get to your room.

If you take the free breakfast, you'll take more stairs.

You know you're in trouble when they mount \"encouragement signs\" on the steps to get you to climb...

Speaking of breakfast, the Filipino style breakfast is okay, but I was rather surprised that the toast was three pieces of toasted bread that were allowed to cool to a nice, solid block. I had to request butter, but got \"Dairy cream\" instead - a local margarine substitute (yes, a substitute for margarine!) that tastes so bad my dogs won't eat it.

If you order the eggs, they'll be done perfectly, but there's no salt, pepper, ketchup, or any other topping you might think of adding.

The beds were INCREDIBLY uncomfortable, and the shower was (I kid you not) only about 24\" x 36\". My closet is larger than the whole bathroom. (Is that why they call it a water closet?)

For the price, this one's a pass.

We booked Family room for 4 persons indicating 2 Queen Beds but to our dismay, the room has 2 double beds only! I clarified it with the hotel and they said that they don’t have queen beds in any room!! They even showed me other family rooms, and yeah, all were just double beds! This is a false advertisement! And to make it worse, shower has no hot water. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone.

It was a good experience staying in this hotel though its quite noisy because there's a bar near the hotel. Its a 5-min walk to Burnham, Good Taste, Shakeys, Heritage Mansion Buffet. We enjoyed our stay

Not what i expected for the price

Staff is friendly, a/c is cool, wifi is strong. However, the only way to get warm water is to turn the shower low. Hotel did not provide sufficient toiletries including toilet paper. Toilet is not pleasing to see, full of rusts. Towels are hard and turning yellow from improper washing. No ref, no hair dryer.

Overall experience was good. Front desk could have made sure though to keep us posted if the room was already available - we sent a message if early check in could be granted and they promised to contact our mobile, but didn't get any update until we got back on the actual check in tjme.

Great hotel for short vacation

-nice stay for an economy room (no need for A/C since the area is cold all-day)
-perfect location for guests who want to walk around Burnham Park
-limited food choices for Breakfast, but good enough
-WiFi connection is very good

My family and I found the place in good location. Though we were given a quite small room on our first day, we were upgraded to a bigger one on the next day. Burnham Park and restaurants are walking distance from the hotel. Facility is in good shape, service is well and the people are warmth. This is truly a place to stay when in Baguio.

our stay was very good. For a budget hotel, it was very good. breakfast was satisfactory, clean room, great reception service, right outside restaurants with good inexpensive food. Only a 5 minutes walk to Burnham Park and 8 minutes to public market. We would definitely stay there again.

Videoke singing and drinking right infront of the hotel kept me awake all night. Too expensive for an old hotel. The photo in the website is not the same as the actual hotel that is old and situated in low class neighborhood

At first I was disappointed when I've seen the room due the room size was smaller than what I've expected. I booked a deluxe room and the actual room looks like an econo room. I confirmed this at the front desk and they said that it is a deluxe room. Not considering the room size, the facilities are clean and pleasing. Inside the room is a double bed, cabinet, safe, room slippers, LCD TV, 2 complimentary water bottles, toilet with hot and cold shower, towels, toiletries and surprisingly, an aircon because it was stated on the website that there's only a fan inside. Given the affordable rate and the facilities along with free plated breakfast for two and 1 free massage that comes with the deluxe room plus the very nice front desk officer, not to mention the hotel's just along Kisad Road near Burnham Park, it is indeed a good value for money.
Yes, I will stay here again should I have another weekend getaway in Baguio.

it was fine. the room size was just right, for the rate. the free breakfast was not quite friendly for those with dietary constraints. i don't eat pork, but the only options offered to me were breaded pork or luncheon meat. they tried to make it up though by giving me 2 sunny side up eggs.

The staffs are friendly, and the wifi was good enough. We stayed only overnight. I dont recommend you to book a room with no AC, you'll just suffer. Its overpriced. Our room was not that clean, i saw small cockroach on the table. Theres only 1 electric socket in the room, and its far from the bed. The light bulb in the toilet stopped working in middle of the night. The beds are so small for 2 person. I will not stay here again

Nice hotel, walking distance to Burnham Park.

Over all we had a good stay at this hotel. We stayed in an Economy room, there wasn't an AC but there was a fan. We would open windows since you can feel the Dec. cool breeze. The location is great, walking distance to the park and cabs are readily available once you walk out. There's just one complaint, they always run out of breakfast. Everytime we would get food we were served whatever is left over. I guess you have to be there at 6am, twice that it happened to us the food server would tell us that's all that's left. I would'nt mind if he's polite enough but he would say it grumpily. After serving us the food, I saw another newly cooked on the buffet area. All other staff no complaint very helpful and welcoming.

decent Hotel a little old but the good location

Well if you're somehow stuck here in baBaguio for an overnight or a couple of nights it's a secure old hotel. But the shower is not too hot, breakfast is minimal, and it's very noisy. The city is very crowded and the noise on the streets is unbelievable. You should wear a mask if you don't want to damage your lungs from all the pollution from the traffic. About the only positive is the weather is fairly moderate

Good location

Compared to the other hotels in the area, Paladin has a better facade cause it's not cramped with establishments at the ground floor. The room is shockingly smaller than we expected yet it worked just fine. The bathroom was spacious. The shower has a heater that never failed. Breakfast was okay but plated. The free flowing and delicious coffee made up for it though. The staff were nice and courteous and even brewed more coffee when we requested. The only downside of our visit was the location of our room which is so close to the reception. I woke up in the middle of my sleep due to noisy guests laughing and talking out loud while checking in.

Basic hotel for a decent price

This was a mediocre hotel with a decent breakfast and not too far away from Burnham Park. The Staff was always friendly, although they did not go the extra mile because of Hotel Policy. The rooms were basic and equipped with the basics. WiFi was a bit tricky; it did not work for me even though I have a pretty new Samsung S4.

Awful, but for the staff.

I'm diligent about checking out previous reviews of hotel before booking and am shocked to discover the discrepancy between what's been written and my personal experience.
Assigned to room 24. This room is poorly ventilated and consequently feels like a bathroom. The bathroom was in a shocking state. There was mold throughout the ceiling, the shower cubicle has rust all over, it was impossible to get anything but lukewarm water out of the shower and the tap on the sink is a delay tap, the type used in public toilets. Call me pretentious, but a hotel bathroom should never share the same design as public toilets. Pictures have been posted on trip advisor to warn others.
Forget trying to get any kind of sleep. The room itself seems to be located over some kind of garage which is active from early morning to late at night, the supplied blankets are utterly inadequate for the cool temperatures and people seem to be moving furniture at all hours. The latter made worse by the fact that the floors are tiled.

The only saving grace are the staff how did supply extra blankets and were customer oriented.

Enjoyed my stay!

I went to Baguio for my first solo travel and I chose to spend a little more for a hotel booking rather than stay in a transient house for safety and peace of mind. I chose Paladin Hotel since my friend already stayed here a week earlier than me and we both agreed that this hotel is good. The hotel staffs in the front desk are very courteous and accommodating. The bed in the Economy room is big and good for 3-4 pax but I think the room is just for 2. The bathroom is okay with shower(warm water). They have available toiletries with towel so you may choose not bring your own.

They have a refrigerator in the front desk and you may ask them if you need to store something like food. You may also leave your things there if you arrived early for your check-in time or you already checked-out but needs to go somewhere else and don't want to bring your things with you. They offer a free complimentary breakfast though I was not able to try it. But as per my friend's feedback, the food is good. I was also offered a free massage but I was not able to avail it since I went to the night market and had dinner.

The hotel is almost in the middle of the city near Burnham Park and food places so it's easy to locate. The only thing that I didn't like was the music/noise from the karaoke bars near the hotel. There were quite a lot of karaoke bars in that place.

Overall, I enjoyed my solo travel and stay in this hotel. Paladin Hotel will still be my first choice when I come back to Baguio!

Okay hotel, in a good location

The hotel was ok: the staff were polite, the room was clean, everything was functional and the location was great, in walking distance to the park, market and SM Mall. Since the price for our economy fan room was about twice what we normally pay for air con room in the Philippines, we were expecting something a lot nicer (the design, especially in the economy room, was pretty dated), but there was nothing wrong either and I guess Baguio is just an expensive city to stay in. Breakfast was alright. Food was served cold, but the selection was reasonable and the quantities were fine.
