Excellent hotel in perfect location with a great breakfast. Bar was exceptional as well.
Paul
Central location. Parking on the street is okay but meter only accepts 3 hours of parking each time. Hotel is spotless and comfortable.
Michele
Place was a little difficult to find but once there the parking was secure garage for a cost. Small garage so limited parking they was parking on the street but first in first served. They do not have a restaurant and the staff said there was plenty of restaurant around. Must admit the first person who checked us in was not overly helpful but all the other staff were amazing. He might have been having a bad day. The Brasserie a 3 minute walk away was great and well worth it. It belongs to another hotel and is open all day for food and drink. Overall a very pleasant stay.
Trudy
Small room but clean and lovely view.
Bed and plllows comfortable.
Staff friendly and extremely helpful.
Breakfast good, the usual hotel type in Europe.

Our room was spacious and very pleasant overlooking a quiet cobbled street. It was right across from a medieval church and made the perfect backdrop for our stay. My only disappointment was having very large thick foam rubber pillows and not the usual two softer ones hotels usually use.
karienne
Great location and lovely with big window doors that opened. A great views
Charlotte
Tres bien situe au centre, hotel plein de charme
Jonelle
Everything near perfect. Wonderful bedding and pillows..

This was a lovely building in the old town and moments away from one of the main sights, Jean Coeur Palace. Reception was very helpful about parking, and taking our luggage while we explored the old town, having arrived at lunchtime.
David
Central, comfortable, convenient, classy hotel
Be brave driving carefully into the old town to reach this excellently situated hotel, where the service and comfort matched the convenience of its central position.
Locked garage added further convenience.

Great location
Historic building in the center of the old town, some rooms with a distant view of the cathedral. Very convenient for an overnight stay but parking can be an issue. We decided to use the underground car park near the cathedral so not very far. You can drop off outside the hotel and try to park on the road but we chose not to. Everything else as you would expect, good standard overall.
Steven
Great location, outstanding breakfast! Might be one of the best breakfasts I’ve seen in France so far:
Matthew
Great historic location,
My room was very large with a mini fridge, desk, and 2 chairs and a table with the bathroom in its own area as well so it was very nice. Great ac. Also in a pretty building in a historic square with a lovely fountain out front and within walking distance (5-10 minutes) to all the best sites in Bourges. It is about an 18 minute walk to the train station but it’s flat so was easy. I also rented a car for a day at the station and drove to Sancerre which was fun!
Gabriel
Chic, parfait!
Chic, c’est très beau, la façade est superbe. Chambre propre et confortable, personnel courtois. Parfait pour ma courte visite sur Bourges.
Azhar
Lovely central hotel. Lovely superior room.
Ian
Hôtel was very nice and in a very good location for the town centre. The reception member of staff was very helpful; advising us where to park and providing a smoothie check-in. The hotel is showing some signs of age and could do with a refresh but for a short stay it was very good and we would recommend it.
David
This is possibly the oldest hotel we have ever stayed in. The outside isn't appealing, but everything inside is new and upgraded.
Kristi
Great value and location in the center of old town Bourges, comfortable bed and pillows, super nice evening porter gave us great tips on restaurants that were close by, and a nice walk around the center of town. Parking was on the street, but we found a space just a block away. Super close to the amazing cathedral.
Susan
Lovely hotel right in the centre. Friendly welcome. Bit of a nightmare to get to thanks to roadworks blocking our route. Secure parking booked in advance.

Bourges
The hotel is located in the heart of the old city. Super Location!! The staff could not have been any nicer. Would certainly stay there again.
jason
The town is very quiet and it’s very inconvenient to get early breakfast/brunch until noon most places. The hotel is just fine, but there are not many things to do around town.
Philippe
Delightful boutique hotel with 18th century flavour situated in the heart of Bourges of Jacques Coeur !
My room had the look and feel of a sleeping car (wagon-lit) !

Great, central location. Small room, but very clean.
Georgine
The hotel could not be better situated. It is right in the center of everything of interest in the center of Bourge. The room was tiny but had all of the necessities except air-conditioning, luckily, it wasn't necessary that night.
John

I paid for breakfast and they denied it!

This is a charming hotel that is unfortunately really hard to get to. Not the fault of the hotel, but the area it is within is protected from motor traffic by pop-up barricades that take help to retract... extremely confusing for tourists. The hotel tries hard to give the procedures to guests, but unfortunately Expedia completely glosses this over, leaving you stuck and confused in a one-way street.
Do not miss the breakfast... delicious and charming. Room was very comfortable, and location right next to a palace and within walking distance of Bourges cathedral.
Not as many restaurants right around the hotel as I expected from the business of the area, and you would need reservations to dine at the restaurant next door.

Confusing to find as the address to the hotel on paperwork does not work with GPS. (It takes you a route blocked by bollards.)
The hotel is beautiful with lovely staff. Room was very nice and the bathroom had the most wonderful shower. Breakfast was plentiful and parking was convenient.

Steve
This property is in the middle of old town, so the parking situation was sort of interesting. We were there on a Sunday, so the parking was free. We also had to park a block away and walk to the property to have them push a button to have a bollard in the center of the street drop down so we could drive to the property to unload our luggage. Then we were able to move our car where we left our car next to the building. Like I said, interesting. All else was good, except walking back to the property in the rain, but that wasn't their fault. Nice place.
Ian
Great hotel, that's very well placed for the historic centre of Bourges. If you want to park, you may need to book a (payable) place in their car park, or take your chance in the road or elsewhere.
Vivienne
Fantastic, beautiful hotel in a lovely city. Staff very friendly and room and bathroom extremely comfortable. The night walk in Bourges to see the illuminations is well worth the time.
Paul
We had a fantastic two night stay. The hotel was in a perfect location and close to everything. The nighttime city artistic light show was beautiful. The hotel was very comfortable and quiet and the staff were friendly and very helpful.

LOVELY HOTEL, WELL LOCATED, VERY HELPFUL STAFF, AMPLE LOCAL ON STREET PAYANT PARKING . ROOM WAS A LITE SMALER THAN WE EXPECTED BUT STILL VERY NICE.
Judith
Very nice hotel, nicest Best Western i have ever been to. Very clean, large bathroom. Staff is very friendly. Location is in the middle of eeverything. Sunday is a sleepy lttle town, shops are closed, but still was able to see sites i was looking forward to.
David
Mostly very good
Very cheerful, friendly and helpful staff but some things would have made our experience better:
1. Instructions on how to navigate the residents’-access-only area which is protected by rising bollards. In the end we parked outside this area, walked to the hotel and then we were told the address to put in our Satnav and to drive there until we met a blocking bollard, call the hotel, and they then remotely lowered it so we could drive to the door. Avenue 95e-de-ligne is the secret address, which is not the hotel’s address.
2. We had booked overnight parking in the hotel garage but when we got there we were told that we would have to vacate it between 6 and 7 am which is absurd for a holiday stay. The very helpful night porter told us to leave the car on the pavement outside the hotel and he would keep a eye on it and it would be fine there until 9am when parking charges started.
3. Big comfortable bed but hard pillows stuffed with what felt like a solid lump of foam.
4. Reasonable breakfast buffet but everything freezing cold - croissants etc not very nice because of that but would have been fine if warm.

Fantastic hotel in great location!
Had a fantastic 2 nt stay in this hotel! Everything was perfect from the reception-really helpful, secure parking-which we had pre-booked, room-booked the larger room which was lovely! Great shower and amenities-kettle, coffee maker, fridge, ac, nicely refurbished room! From the hotel you walk into the heart of Bourges, which is beautiful! So glad we booked for 2 nights!
Lynda
Charming as Ever
The hotel couldn't have been kinder with helping me with our reservation and a broken foot. Lovely staff as always. Great hotel and perfectly located close to the town centre of Bourges.
One small point - we have stayed here many times before and loved it. This time the carpet in our room seemed to need a refresh - a few stains on it. But a minor point that doesn't take away from the charm of this hotel.

Right in the middle of town. Walkable to the cathedral, town square and the palace. Manager at the front desk spoke excellent English and was very helpful. Great room. No elevator if that is an issue. Not for us.

Very nice small hotell in town centre
Very nice small hotell in the centre of town with just short walk to the main street and close to the cathedral. Friendly and helpful staff with ideas of what to do as we where passing through the town. They also have their own garage for parking of your car.

Good choice
We had a large modernised room - it was very comfortable & reasonably quiet. Externally the hotel is not appealing but it’s in a perfect location & the staff were v helpful & the refurbished rooms are excellent.

Un petit bijoux
We arrived late but the concierge welcomed us well and helped get us accommodated in a restaurant down the street. Breakfast was lovely: everything was fresh and parking was just on the street outside.
The hotel was in the middle of the old quarter, ideally situated for sightseeing and shopping. A lovely hotel with character.

Don't Bother Looking Elsewhere - Best in Bourges
My recent stay was the latest from a number of years with business in the area; I have never been let down in all the times I have stayed here. The room on the 1st floor this time around had actually been improved with new walk-in shower and heated towel rail, among the air-conditioned and well-appointed furniture that comes as standard. Breakfast is as good as any in Bourges, with friendly service and a good array of hot & cold food + good coffee. Service from Amelie and Edgar on the Front Desk was, and always is, very attentive - nothing is too much for them to help with from Restaurant recommendations to booking of taxis. I look forward to returning here again when next in the region, I won;t bother looking at alternatives unless they're full.
Daryl
Good location, very nice hotel. Friendly, helpful staff.

Excellent Hotel in the very centre of town
The Manager, Mr Lois Pascal, is absolutely charming and a mine of information. He also speaks excellent English

Definitely a cut ablove standard Best Western hotels. Close to the very picturesque old city centre. Plenty of places to eat within a short walk.
Free on street parking was available overnight. Hotel had garage parking (€13 per night) if required, but some of the spaces were extremely small and blocking each other’s entry and exit.

The location of this hotel was excellent. We had a comfortable king size bed in a very spacious room. The breakfast offered a nice variety of delious foods. The staff were very pleasant and helpful with restaurant recommendaitons and various directions. Lastly, having on-site secure parking was helpful.

quaint little hotel in the center of town. Very clean and nice, but still has the feel of the original. Highly recommend.

Charming hotel in the town centre
Charming, boutique hotel in the middle of Bourges, surrounded by quaint, narrow streets and close to the main ancient sites. The exterior of the hotel is lovely, almost nostalgic, with a little fountain and inside it's retains the charm and the staff were lovely. We had breakfast - a really nice continental one. We were driving. Parking up outside to drop baggage and have the comfort of secure parking was great.

Nice hotel! Double rooms small by US standards but quite nice with new bathrooms. Reasonable continental breakfast. Parking is a drawback - small garage and street parking is limited.....

It's OK
Bourges is a stopover, not a destination. The receptionist was less than helpful. Some rooms have great walk in showers, others have very high baths so the less mobile will need to be very careful if they want a shower. Breakfast is OK but not special. All in all, it does what it needs to do.
David
Comfortable hotel
Comfortable hotel close to the centre of Bourges. Just a little expensive at E160 plus E12.5 for garage parking which you may need.

Overnight stay enroute to Calais
Not a friendly reception. No room in the garage although we had requested parking when making the booking. Superior room was spotlessly clean and the hotel is in a nice location. Breakfast choice was adequate
Marina
Not as good as we expect it to be !
Rooms were on the small side , beds were not comfortable at all , but we probably had discounted rooms and i think they have different quality units! Location is great and people at front desk are very nice and welcoming !
From our experience this hotel does not deserve a 4 star rating , but only a 3.

Nice hotel in the old section of Bourges
Stayed there for one night going through Bourges. Probably the best of the hotels I stayed in my 10 nights in France. It is 3 minutes walk from the hotel to the cathedral.

Attractive hotel in historical quarter
The \"comfort\" double room was fairly pricey, a good size with 2 armchairs, but spartan with little decoration; it overlooked the front which was nice. The bathroom was not roomy, and standing in the bath to shower was a bit of a challenge. I had to ask for dressing gowns (which were on offer in the write-up) and the complimentary soap was limited to shower gel with no shower cap. The room and linen were spotless. The price included breakfast which was basic and adequate - no cooked hot food was on offer apart from a cold hard-boiled egg. The staff were extremely helpful, polite and charming, and generally the atmosphere of the hotel was very good. It is very pretty from the outside.
David
Central to Bourges,First Class for a City Break
This hotel is a few steps from the Palais de Jacques Coeur which is a fascinating visit. It is also a short walk to the Cathedral. Moreover there is an excellent restaurant on the doorstep. The breakfast which was fine was included in the room rate. The wifi code is on the room card and is free.
The streets around this hotel are narrow and some are one-way so it is probably better to book a place in the smallish car -park.

Great Value and Happy to Help Staff
Extremely friendly and helpful. We only stayed for one night and we arrived late. Yet we were warmly welcomed and even though there was no room service, the receptionist conjured up some cheese and ham sandwiches - very welcome after a 12 hour drive. Room was well decorated, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast served with a smile.

Beautiful Bourges
Really pleased with the hotel. Helpful staff from the outset - pointed out those restaurants open. Room was great, recently refurbished. Comfy beds, good night sleep. Small breakfast room with good selection of continental b/fast. Only stayed one night but hope to return next summer to see more of the town. This is the 3rd Best Western we have stayed in this year in France and have been impressed with all three (couldn't say the same for the one we stayed in in Florida). Took into account trip advisor reviews before booking.

An excellent find!
Despite the area (road and pavements) outside the hotel being relaid with beautiful stones that complimented the area, it did not detract from our stay. We stayed two nights - one on the way down to the Languedoc area and one on the way back - on both occasions we were very warmly welcomed by the two Receptionists - Amelie and Stephanie. They both spoke excellent English. They were able to give us advice as to various bistros (that suited our budget) for an evening meal. The hotel is very central - close to the Cathedral and Jacques Couer Palace - it was very clean and the standard rooms were a decent size with tv; fridge and comfortable chair! The ensuite bathroom was well appointed and very clean. They even have secure parking which is an added bonus. We would certainly go back!

Excellent value, good location
Can't beat the location, sights restaurants and shopping are from half a minute to ten minutes away by foot. Hotel is well maintained. If garage is full, street metered parking is available, especially after the retail shops close.
