Rebuild this hotel

The staff at the kyriad were very helpful & did there job well. Breakfast was acceptable. This was the only good part of our stay. I have stayed in this groups hotels before & have been happy with the room. This one needs to be demolished & rebuilt. The hot water was not working the room was cramped the whole hotel was shoddy. No plugs in basin . Dining table damaged outside really tatty . I would remove this from you list of hotels as it does not do your selfs or kyriad any favours being there

Disappointing

We had requested a non smoking room but when we checked in we were not asked smoking or non smoking - we were just checked in and given a room key. We noticed all the rooms we passed had no smoking signs on the doors, except for ours ( no. 42) and the remaining couple of rooms. There was a stall cigarette smoke smell. Because it was late, we did not mention anything until we checked out. The receptionist said that ALL the rooms were non smoking. We pointed out the rooms 42 to 44 did not have the no smoking signs on the doors and that our room (42) smelled of cigarette smoke.
We appreciate that not all preferences can be guaranteed but we should have been asked at check in.
Disappointing!

Reasonably priced and very adequate

A one night stopover on our drive back to Calais, this was a step up from the basic hotel chains with their cramped rooms and pared down facilities. The room is 12 metres square which is generous enough to allow you to get around the bed without stubbing your toe. A kettle with coffee and tea making facilities also provided, a hair dryer and soap dispensers at the wash basin and in the shower
rather than wasteful little plastic bottles and sachets. Only disappointment was that the restaurant facility was not available, which was not clear on the website, nor were the couple of restaurants in the close vicinity open - it was a Sunday evening. This meant we had to drive a few kilometres to eat.

Bourges overnight stay.

The hotel was easy to find, the welcome in reception was excellent and very informative and checking in was quite straightforward. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed but we were given very good directions to the town. I would thoroughly recommend this for an overnight stay.

Needs a Refurb.

This hotel was O.K. for a stopover. Unfortunately there is no \"Kyriad Standard\" that you can rely on. Some are very good others are not. This is one of them. No doubt Kyriad will get round to giving it a refurb. The sooner the better. The breakfast was O.K. but not as good value compared to its competitors. The location was not great being halfway from the motorway to the town centre and was remote from all the other travelodges and chain restaurants.

Break in journey to South of France

Room was extremely small, barely enough space to walk around the bed. Only one bedside table as if there were two the door to the room would not open. The shower was very old and not very clean. We ate in the restaurant which was adequate. I had a very small gin and tonic and when I asked for a second the waitress came back and said they had run out of gin. On checking out the following morning we had to pay before seeing what we were paying for. We had been charged for two gin and tonics so had to get a refund, surely we should see what we are paying for before paying? We are staying atHotel Kyriad Le Mans Est and I hope that hotel will be 100% better than the one in Bourges.

Typical chain hotel

This hotel is a typical chain hotel - at the cheaper end of the spectrum. That said, it is perfectly adequate for an overnight stay. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was about the smallest I've ever seen, but was perfectly functional. Cleanliness was good. Staff are friendly. The location is ideal - close to the motorway and just outside the town centre. Bear in mind that parking in the historic town centre is difficult due to the narrow winding streets - use one of the car parks on the edge of the town - i'ts easy to walk around and well worth a visit.

Kyriad Bourges

Friendly reception staff but do not expect to communicate in English. Learn some French before you go!
Hold your nose as you walk towards your room as the corridor smells worse than a student flat. No key card tech here, just a yale key. The room had air conditioning but not much else. Small, low bed and the whole room made you start scratching.... Kyriad toiletries and towels but don't expect any of the other creature comforts which make Perpignan Kyriad seem like heaven compared to this one....
