Disappointed. Junior suite was not as described, nor as pictured. Musty, dilapidated. Hot water took 5-6 minutes to arrive at the tap. A lot of wasted water. Perhaps better in Summer but will not recommend otherwise.

Area around this property at night felt pretty unsafe. Hotel staff were fantastic and very helpful but the room was dated and very hot the fan did not work. It’s November and inside my room was 31 degrees the first night. I had to leave my patio door open which did not feel safe in order to sleep comfortably. Would not be my first choice.

The property was very nice, and indecent shape considering it’s an older property. Some parts were in a little bit of disrepair, but the staff were very nice and did a good job. The breakfast was awesome. The area in proximity to the main town was close enough, probably not the safest of all areas, but safe enough for visitors. Considering the price point, probably fits the value price proposition.

The mosquito room

This place needs a bit of updating, but it was still okay for the value. Only thing that bothered me was mosquitoes. There’s no screen on the windows and the room didn’t have air conditioning yet because it’s still May. So open windows let in mosquitoes that attacked me during the night. I got multiple bites that are still itchy. Not so fun.

We were amazed at the beauty of the hotel and grounds; thrilled to have a balcony overlooking the palm trees and small swimming pool. The breakfast also was a lovely surprise: tasty AND healthy options and they made it possible for us to collect ours on a tray to eat on our balcony. Highly recommended!!

Thought the hotel well placed with restaurants 2min walking distance . We had a ground floor room with the pool right outside which was great . The room was very clean and the bed comfortable , clean towels every day and maid service . Good breakfast buffet . Overall really pleased with this choice of hotel .

We had booked a junior suite with outdoor access and when we arrived, we were notified there was no outdoor access. The internet was not working and the hotel attendant could not do anything because the technician was not there. Finally, we had booked this hotel because it had room service but they reported the oven was broken and there was no food available.

Find another place to stay

When we arrived we found out that there was no elevator. We explained to the receptionist that my wife couldn't clime the stairs and was put in a 1st floor room. after touring the old city we came back to the hotel tired and looking to eat and go to bed. We were informed that the dining room closes for the weekend and we could buy breakfast in the morning. We had some bread and cheese in the car which we ate. It was very late when we took a good look at the room. The blanket looked like it hadn't been cleaned in ages and the shower was one that I would't go into with bear feet. We wound up sleeping in our clothes on top of the towels. We left early the next morning to find that there were some restaurants a few blocks away that they hadn't bother to tell hungry strangers to their city. This place does not know that hospitality means.

Perfectly placed hotel.

This hotel is perfectly placed. We were able to get our meals across the road, as we stayed on a weekend when their kitchen was closed for anything other than breakfast, which, btw, was reasonable. Front desk ladies were cheerful and helpful in English, and the room was large with a large balcony. We had issues with the air conditioning not being cool enough, and we did ask for the staff to keep the shutters closed during the hot afternoon to reduce heat in the room. Over all it was an excellent 3 night stay.

Unfortunately we had a terrible experience at this property.
The room was suffocating with heat .. the AC although working didn’t have the power to cool off the room. We stayed up all night trying to get a shut eye but to no avail. We tried opening the window but were attacked by a school of mosquitoes that’s would just not quit.. until this hotel fixed both of these issues i can’t imagine ever going back

I don’t like the location , the service, there is no elevator ( this in 2018 is absurd) , the parking is out and the trolley bag can’t move from the parking because the street is not plane so you need to take all your lagage heavy, the picture in Expedia website is not about the room that the hotel have!

Very pleasant stopover in Nimes!

We stayed here for two nights on a trip passing through Nimes. It was only a short 10 minute walk from the main attractions in the centre of Nimes. Some restaurants nearby. Pizza restaurant was very good. Our room was a deluxe double. Very quiet location. Kettle and hot drink facilities in room and a free bottle of water which was replaced. Very friendly reception staff. Breakfast was included in our room rate and included scrambled eggs & sausages, boil your own egg, pastries, yogurts, toast and jams and hot drinks, juices etc

Disappointing

The hotel really did not live up to it’s photos or descriptions.
Some of the Superior Rooms certainly were not of the quality one would expect and a pool view on some meant a lview of the pool if you went out onto balcony and stretched over the side and around the corner.!
The pool area was not maintained and the cushions and loungers were damp in the morning from being left out.
The car park was basically wherever you could find a space along a gravel lane way which needed work and was bumpy and old . The hotel is a long way from the centre .
It’s breakfast was quite poor and the hygiene and quality of the cooked food was questionable. I don’t know if they even had a proper chef as the receptionist seemed to be in charge of replacing the food / cutlery etc . The scrambled egg was unrecognizable and must have been some kind of instant concoction which was frankly inedible.
The staff were not particularly friendly- there was nobody on reception when we arrived and the barman and another guest had to go in search of the receptionist and the owner who only appeared on the morning I was checking out was not prepared to listen to any of my concerns or wasn’t in the least apologetic about the fact that I was not happy with my stay there.
Overall I was very disappointed as I paid €150 a night to stay here and it certainly was not good value for money and would not stay there again.

Great stop over hotel

Easy to find. Good location next to the river and the huge municipal outdoor swimming pool (with water slides and high diving boards). Hotel has its own pool too in a good setting next to the river (and the bar). As always the swimming pool could do with a good clean! Breakfast great - everything you could ask for (and more). We were on the 4th floor in a Superior room which had 2 beds for 4 people. Hardly any space to move around the beds. One bed massive, the other a temporary double for kids. Towels tiny and not enough to use for the pool as well. Huge TV in the room with a paper TV guide. Coffee machine but only 2 paper coffee cups. Lifts a tight squeeze for 4 people and luggage. Free Car park in front of the hotel. Working air conditioning too. Staff all really friendly and bilingual.

Little oasis on the outskirts of Nimes

First impression of the hotel was worrying as exterior looked tired. Just needed a coat of paint. Inside was however very welcoming. Large reception area with mix of old and new fixings. The small swimming pool made it a little oasis and was very welcome as the temperature was over 30C on both days of stay.

Quirky little Hotel

Fabulous old fashioned quirky place with a lovely pool to relax by. Hotel staff are really great and very helpful. We had a superior room with a lovely terrace and it was superb. The location is brilliant for exploring Nîmes historical centre which is about a 15 flat stroll. Will definitely return to this hotel.

Mixed feelings. Pleasant staff. Nice pool area. Room mostly OK. But: No shower curtain or screen meant a flooded floor and wet surfaces in the bathroom after every shower. A wifi problem meant that I could not work in my room for half of my stay. When checking out, the card machine was not working. Fortunately and unusually I was carrying enough cash to pay for a 4-night stay. Overall I was not impressed.

Good touring centre.

Used as a base for visiting Nimes, Arles and the Camargue. Centre of Nimes a bit too far for our old legs but underground parking in centre and there is also a bus. We missed the hotel on our first pass as the driveway was a little bit hidden and we failed to spot the hotel sign. First exit at the roundabout on the main road then entrance is in 20 metres at the small roundabout which follows.

Lovely hotel

We stayed four nights at this hotel and found it perfect for what we wanted. The pool was small but perfectly formed, the hotel always felt quiet and cosy despite some road noise. The hotel staff were warm and helpful. It was close enough to the centre of Nimes to walk in when not too hot but we also found it very convenient for driving out to places like Pont du Gard and the Camargue.

Good hotel only if you have a car

Its a decent hotel and old style but is a bit far off from Nimes. So a car would be required... thankfully there is free parking
Considering they are a bit farther out from the city I think that the hotel should not charge for breakfast. To charge for the ordinary breakfast is a bit cheeky of the hotel. So people paying a high price for breakfast could be seen eating there for an hour or so... perhaps to recover costs!

Otherwise room comfort was reasonable and we got a good nights sleep. Suggest look for a hotel deeper into the heart of Nimes to soak in the atmosphere.

The pool was pretty small.. almost like a tub. The hotel had described a hot tub in its features(if I remember correctly)... none was to be found... perhaps they meant the cold tub pool..

But on the whole an option foe a quick nights sleep or if you wanna laze around the pool and not venture into Nimes

The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was similar to what you would find in other European hotels - an assortment of breads, cold cuts, cheese and cereal. Unfortunately, the hotel air conditioning was not working. Our room was extremely hot. Opening the door to the balcony cooled the room somewhat, but without a screen on the doors, flies and mosquitos also entered.

15 minute walk to Arenes de Nimes

Comfortable enough hotel for an overnight stay. I was in Nimes for a concert at the Arenes de Nimes which finished very late, and the door was locked on my return. Fortunately the barman was restocking, saw me and let me in. There is no Front Door passkey supplied, nobody on reception, and nobody answered the door phone. Check how to get back in! But I would stay there again now that I know!

Hotel was okay for a few days.I found the room a bit small for 3 people but comfortable.THe thing I didn't like is that there was no lifts and we had to carry our luggage to the 1st floor .

About 20 minutes to walk into the centre of Nimes but nothing closer by apart from a bread and cake shop across the road and a restaurant next to it. Very quiet hotel with nobody in the bar in the evening so we didn't bother either as there was no atmosphere, I think the receptionist covered as barman. Breakfast was fine, better than the other two hotels we stayed in over the following week. Hotel clean and comfortable beds. Fine for a short stay.

A little outside the main town, a pleasant enough (20 minute) walk. The actual hotel is lovely, nice decoration and really friendly staff who didn't mind us ordering drinks at the bar at a rather late hour. Rooms are bright and clean and the pool area looked lovely (unfortunately didn't have time!)

Nice hotel but a fair walk from the town centre.

I found the hotel difficult to find even with a map. My room was lovely with all amenities, very quiet, clean and comfortable. It's 15 - 20 minute walk from the town centre and I made the mistake of walking behind the train track on the way back and met some 'interesting' locals! Stick to the main roads if exploring Nimes. Free on site parking was much appreciated although wheeling a suitcase through the gravel car park wasn't easy. Staff were friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast meant you could eat as much as you wanted to.

The room, number 1,was basic. The staff pleasant.

The room was very basic, although clean. The soil pipe by the lavatory was noisy and water from other rooms could be heard through this, especially in the morning.
The swimming pool was clean though the alarm going off for no good reason was a bit of a nuisance.
Was a twenty minute walk into the city.
The staff were at all times pleasant and helpful.

We stayed here for 3 nights at the end of September 2014. Our room was quite spacious, extremely clean, and had a door which opened onto the pool. The hotel was in excellent condition and the staff were always friendly and helpful. There were 3 restaurants and a supermarket situated about 5 minutes walk away. The walk to the Nimes Arena took about 20 minutes

Comfortable hotel, easy to find from ring road.

When we arrived at the hotel we were shown to our rooms which were on the ground floor and had an outdoor seating area. When we ran the shower there was no hot water, on complaining to the staff we were told that there was a problem with the boiler. Surely this should have been pointed out when we checked in. There was no hot water for our two night stay and we were given complementary breakfasts as an apology.
The room was comfortable, nothing exciting. Had to ask at reception for a hospitality tray which wasn't restocked during our stay. The swimming pool was an added bonus though the water was cold and it attracted mosquitoes. It would have been good if a plug in mosquito repellent had been provided.

Great place, disappointing experience

The hotel is well situated with good facilities. The \"director\" who dealt with us was a big disappointment.
I called ahead of time to confirm my reservation and possible late checkin but got a confusing answer from the front desk but nonetheless, message was conveyed. When we arrived at 9:30pm, we realized that they messed up with the reservation with only 1 room instead of 2 and they are full. The reception staff was empathetic and look for alternative hotels. When I told them that I had prepaid for the rooms, she had to get her \"director\" involved. This was where everything went south, she started by saying \"this is not our problem, expedia messed up\". So I had to make long distance call to expedia. Later, she realized that they were responsible for the mess up but instead of an apology, she made a serious attempt to move us to another hotel, at 11pm, and was completely unsympathetic to the fact that there will be parking issues and other factors that made me chose this hotel. After about 90 minutes of discussion and huge international mobile charge later, we eventually insisted to squeeze into one room for just the few more hours left of our stay and she finally gave us an extra bed in the room.
She was completely unapologetic and did not even try to make up for the inconvenience and costs I incurred. The next morning at check out, the reception made an apology that finally calm my needed down a bit. Goes to show how important people is in a service industry.

The weather was unusually mild, and extremely humid. Despite this, the hotel had turned off the air conditioning until the wednesday night, when it was swithced on for less than 2 days. the room was unbearably warm and even the locals were suffering. Also, as it was october, the restaurant was closed all week, the hotel seemed busy so this was hard to understand. despite this the location made it an ideal choice for my business trip as t is close to my office

Lovely stopover

We stayed at the hotel a total of 2 nights - one before our holiday and the other at the end as we were flying both in and out of Nimes. The first night we stayed in a superior double room which was fantastic - beautifully decorated and had a great view of the pool. The second night we stayed in a standard double which was equally pleasant, very clean and comfortable. Would recommend and would stay in again.

Good for stopover on road trip

Hotel is good for a stopover. The grounds are nice and the rooms clean and quiet (but more spartan than other hotels in this price range I have stayed in in southern France.) Be aware that the hotel is in a tiny island of trees among high speed roads and strip-malls. Don't choose this hotel if you are looking for lodging in the countryside! Do choose this hotel if you want a hotel easy to access by car. It's an easy and pleasant walk to the sights of Nimes from hotel.

Best Western l'Orangerie-A great stop

We stayed at the BW l'Orangerie one night during a twelve-day motorcycle trip. This was our best stop. The staff was exceptionally attentive, the restaurant was 5 star quality, and the complimentary breakfast was good. Only negative we found was no elevator. We will definitely stay at this hotel again.

Both receptionists(arrival and departure) were most agreeable and helpful and the room pleasant and comfortable.
The breakfast offered healthful alternatives.
The pathway from the parking area to the hotel entrance could be made luggage wheels friendly...

Un séjour en demi-teinte – Gros bémol sur l'hygiène au petit-déjeuner
Mon séjour dans cet établissement laisse un sentiment très mitigé. Si certains points sont positifs, d'autres sont difficilement acceptables pour le prix pratiqué.
🏨 L'hôtel et la chambre
L'établissement dans son ensemble, tout comme la chambre, mériterait une sérieuse rénovation. Bien que la chambre soit spacieuse, elle accuse le poids des années.
Le point noir : Il faut attendre un temps infini pour obtenir de l'eau chaude, ce qui entraîne un gaspillage d'eau assez aberrant aujourd'hui.
Le confort : Rien à redire sur la literie qui est très confortable et le linge de lit, impeccable. En revanche, les serviettes de bain sont particulièrement rêches.
🥐 Le petit-déjeuner (Le gros point négatif)
Affiché à 16 euros, le rapport qualité-prix n'y est absolument pas. Le choix entre sucré et salé est présent, mais la qualité est très moyenne.
Exemple : gâteaux de la veille, jus d'orange de qualité très médiocre (acide). En revanche les yaourts étaient bons et de qualité.
La pâte à tartiner quasiment vide, ainsi que les confitures.
Le premier jour 2 sortes de pains, le deuxième jour il n'y avait que de la baguette.

Plus grave encore : j'ai trouvé des asticots dans les graines de tournesol. C'est un manque d'hygiène et de rotation des stocks inadmissible.
✅ Les points positifs
Le personnel : Très aimable et accueillant.
L'accès : Parking facile et accès à l'hôtel très simple.

Séjour parfait. J'ai déjà réservé pour la semaine prochaine. Je ne suis pas directement concerné mais je pense qu'une douche à l'italienne serait plus appropriée notamment pour les personnes handicapées ?
De même le restaurant mériterait plus d'être ouvert le soir que le midi né ?

Lit confortable et chambre spacieuse
- Déception à l'arrivée en apprenant que le restaurant a décidé de fermer ( décision prise il y a une semaine selon l'hôtelier ce qui est surprenant) l'hôtel ne nous a pas informé . J'avais réservé cet hôtel en raison de la présence d'un restaurant autrement j'aurais réservé ailleurs .
- Autre désagrément : obligation de payer à l'arrivée même si on prend des boissons durant le séjour ( obligation de repayer à nouveau) alors que dans la quasi totalité des hôtels on peut régler à l'arrivée. pour rappel le paiement est sécurisé par notre CB à la réservation. J'ai payé au chek in et donc demandé ma facture, l'hôtelier a refusé de ma la donner et a indiqué me la donner au chek out , ce que j'ai refusé car il a l'obligation de me donner une facture du moment qu'il exige l'encaissement de la chambre . PS : je suis un voyageur trés fréquent dans le cadre professionnel

Hôtel idéalement situé car proche de l’autoroute. Bel endroit avec charme propre et personnel agréable. Très bon restaurant . Chambre propre et très bonne literie. Belle piscine et bien appréciée.

Skøn lille hotel, med charmerende værelser. Virkede ikke så stort, hvilket var rart, da pool området derfor var roligt og til at være.
