Excellent séjour au Pré Galoffre ! L'accueil y est très chaleureux et professionnel, avec un personnel aux petits soins qui rend le séjour inoubliable. La literie est d'un excellent confort, parfaite pour bien se reposer. L'hôtel est calme, reposant, et l'ambiance générale est très sympa avec de beaux espaces extérieurs. Une adresse à recommander sans hésiter !

Horrible arrival experience, I had called in the morning to inform we had issues with transportation so we would arrive between 0000 and 0100. The lady on the phone was nice and said to not worry, someone would be there. We arrived at 0025. The main gate was closed, I rang and rang the bell and intercom for 15 minutes and no answer. I called 5 times and no answer, I waited another 10 minutes and rang and called and still nothing. I had a baby, my kids and great grandparents, all exhausted from a 10 hour drive from central Germany. No one gave us the code for the gate and the reception was empty, so I jumped the gate. I was looking around and saying hello hello hello and finally the worker came out. Other than that all was good

The staff at this hotel go above and beyond to help you enjoy your stay. The rooms were lovely, clean and comfortable. just a short ride to both Nimes and Arles. On Monday evening be sure to attend the 'family style' dinner put on by the hotel as nothing is really open in the area until at least 7:00 pm.

We got the room with the loft, very clean and spacious. Only stayed for one night, the rooms are much better than pictures shown. We are a family of 5 and first time in France, stayed in a few hotels from Nice to Paris, and my kids like this property a lot. The front staff is nice and helpful.

Beautiful building and grounds. (Grounds relatively small, fyi)

Disappointed by the lack of wifi when I visited (should be fixed by now) and no notification in advance or acknowledgement when I checked in. I had to ask about it and got a vague answer. I had been planning to work for a 1/2 day and only booked the day prior, so I wish I had been made aware without needing to wait and then ask.

Pack your mosquito spray. That's true for anywhere in this region (not just the hotel), but it'll help you enjoy more of the beautiful outdoor area.

this hotel has a lot of character and the lobby, dining area and grounds are all really nice. The food in the evening was very good, as good as restaurants we had used in Aix and Cassis so would recommend eating here if you want to avoid driving ing into the centre of Nimes. The breakfast was also of good quality with a wide range of options. It is quiet but only 15 minutes from Nimes/Arles airport. Our only negative is the bathroom could do with some updating.

Located outside the city of Nîmes, this boutique hotel is a an intimate family run establishment with excellent cuisine, and a friendly atmosphere without the city congestion. Parking was easy in the setting. Very relaxed.

Beautiful little hotel with tastefully decorated rooms. We were made to feel very welcome and particularly enjoyed the delicious dinner on the terrace. No bars or restaurants within walking distance but only a short drive into beautiful Nimes.

L'accueil a été parfait avec une équipe souriante et agréable. L’hôtel est bruyant avec une insonorisation médiocre (on entendait les chambres voisines et le couloir) et une isolation pas terrible.
Les moteurs de clim en façade sont très bruyants.
La salle de bain était pas nette en terme de propreté avec des cheveux bruns au sol (je suis blonde).Les meubles sont vieillots et rafistolés.
Le petit déjeuner est pas mal mais 14€ me semble cher.

My wife and I booked this hotel at the last minute when our other plan fell through. We were very happy. Parking was easy. Breakfast was available for a fee and we enjoyed breakfast by the pool. The bed was comfortable. The room had a small patio where we enjoyed sitting.

Quiet and relaxed, with only a minor hum of the local road. The facilities are not extensive but this adds to the charm of the stay. The location is great for exploring Nimes and surrounding areas with easy access to the necessary roads. The rooms are a little tired, but clean, the water is hot and adequate for a weekend stay. Id be happy to come back again.

Very disappointing. The pool was closed in April. The bed was old and saggy. The room very very small and there is no bar or restaurant. Dinner was a set menu served at 8pm. The location is the middle of nowhere. The staff were very pleasant.

What a hidden gem of a place. Fantastic property owned and run by some lovely people. Small restaurant on site serving very nice food on a fixed menu basis. They’re happy to accommodate different tastes as well.
We had a van and there is loads of parking available.

I recently stayed there on a business trip, the hotel is well situated to access the airport, the rooms were clean and tidy with an excellent meal in the restaurant made with local fresh produce. For wine lovers try the local AOC Languedoc! The staff were really friendly and helpful....would I stay again....for sure!!!

Lovely boutique hotel about 15 minutes outside of Nimes in a gated compound. Guest room was small but had a loft for our kids which was very hot due to 100 F temperatures; room did cool down somewhat at night. Staff was pleasant but seemed tired and overworked. Breakfast not included which seemed a miss for a boutique/ B&B type property. Biggest issue was a group of unruly teens playing ball in the pool who disrupted everyone. When management was advised about this and asked to address them, front desk contact seemed reluctant to get involved.

Perfect home base for Nimes/Provence visit

This was the perfect place for our family to stay while in Nimes area! The relaxing atmosphere, comfortable rooms, and kind staff helped us enjoy some relaxation in evenings while we explored the Provence region during the day. The family room we booked included 2 twin beds upstairs - very useful for family with kids (older than ours). The staff were exceptional in making us feel at home. Breakfast in the morning was nice - not huge, but good quality breads, jams, coffee!

Ideal as a base for Arles and Camargue

Very comfortable hotel in an ideal location for Nîmes (15 mins drive from airport), Arles and the Camargue. Rooms are modern and very comfortable and prices make this a real bargain. The hotel lacks a great deal of character, though it us located in pleasant gardens, in a gated area a few hundred metres from the main road into Nîmes. Staff were courteous & very helpful (there was a noisy generator outside our original room, but we were immediately & efficiently moved to a quiet room with no argument). Ideal if you are flying in or out of Nîmes airport, and we found the location very convenient for trips down to fabulous Aigues Mortes & the Camargue, up to Pont du Gard & Uzès, and for an afternoon or evening visit to Arles or Nîmes. Great value.

We stayed two nights here on our way back to London as it was conveniently placed for both the airport and the town of Nime. Despite the hotel restaurant being closed for refurbishment, a delicious three course meal was provided every night and served near the swimming pool. It was a set menu each night, however my vegetarian wife was offerend specially prepared alternatives by the talented chef, which were the most creative vegetarian dishes she had enjoyed since arriving in France.

The room was adequate and clean. In fact the whole property was very clean. The service in the restaurant by the lady server was excellent. The breakfast was good, however, each morning the coffee while very taste, was not hot. The owner/person behind the front desk was very helpfull and very willing to provide guidance for the area. After several weeks on the road at so called 3 and 4 star properties in Paris and Spain, this was our best accommodation. Would recommend it to family.

Off Season Stay

We picked this hotel because of the price and free parking, as we were travelling with a car at this point in our trip. It seems to be geared towards summer guests, with a pool, tennis courts, and landscaping, and it seems as though it would be nice that time of year. It is off of a main, but not too busy, road, so it is easy to access Nimes, which has plenty of parking garages. The hotel was fairly quiet, we never saw any other guests, but our room was right next to the lobby so we heard them come and go some times. The room was comfortable and clean, with a large desk and minifridge that we used for our own breakfasts each morning. Our only complaint was the half wall by the shower rather than a curtain or doors, but this was common at all of the hotels we stayed at in France. Also, there is a gate with a code to get in and out of the parking lot after dark, although we didn't feel that we were in a location where this was necessary, it gave us an added sense of security.

Serenity just outside of Nimes

This hotel is off the beaten path out of town, just a short drive from the city of Nimes. We spent 4 nights here, using it as our home base. It was nice to return to each evening after long days of sightseeing in busy, crowded Nimes, Arles, Avignon, and other nearby villages or sites, like the Pont du Gard and the Camargue. Breakfast and dinner were beautifully presented, served outside on their lovely patio near the swimming pool. (There are no dinner menus, you get served what they've prepared that evening, so it is probably wise to check early in the day what they'll be having in case it does not suit you.) The proprietress was warm and helpful, as was the rest of the staff. The rooms are tastefully decorated, quiet, and comfortable. Some rooms on the bottom floor have tiny patios with small tables & a couple of chairs. We had the location of Le Pre Galoffre on our portable GPS which was helpful, because the entrance can be easy to miss if you're not watching closely. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Essential Provence

The hotel is very difficult to find but worth it once you get there. There's some ambiguity about its name--whether the words \"Mas\" and \"pre\" are included--so Garmin maps can't find it. I ended up searching for the \"Generac\" activity zone from downtown Nimes, which put me on the Route de Generac and eventually to the hotel.
The facility is charming, in a quiet rural setting, run by two very gracious ladies. I had dinner in the adjacent conference center's dining room, a mixed bag--sophisticated decor and excellent food negated by blaring big-screen TV and waitress helping her boyfriend with a work project at one table. Poolside breakfast pleasant, not necessarily worth 10 Euros every day. Some minor maintenance issues. Would definitely go back.

Lovely hotel in an out of the way location. You definitely need a car. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast at 12 Euros was lovely and fresh. They don't always do dinner but they did once while we were there and it was delicious - for 3 courses - 20 euros. Can also use the caravan park restaurant right across the road and restaurant in hotel next door. Rooms were large and very comfortable. It is about 10 minutes drive to Nimes.

While this hotel is a few km outside of Nimes downtown, it was easy enough to get there, but does require a car. The staff were very friendly, helpful and available. The breakfast, at 10 EUR, may have been a little overpriced (tea/coffee, juice, bread, some cheese and a salami), but was still quite nice. The shower had a hand-held wand with no way to attach, so this was less then desirable. Still, the location was good, and staff great, and we would stay there again.

Nice, but disappointed by the bed

The hotel is out of Nimes a few miles but we managed to find it without much difficulty. The building inside and out is nicely kept and very well decorated. Our room was beautiful to look at and we looked forward to sleeping in what looked like a very comfortable double bed. We were disappointed with the bed, I don't think it had a box spring, it sank to the middle. They also had a hard, wrinkled mattress cover, may have been made of rubber under the bottom sheet, this made for a hot and uncomfortable sleep. Other than the bed, we really liked the place. I do wish they wouldn't use duvets though, they are too hot for a lot of people.

INTER-HOTEL Le Pré Galoffre is about 15 minutes outside of Nimes, France. Room was small, quiet, reasonably clean. Amenities limited. Ample parking. The staff were friendly. Dinner (optional) was very good, served outside near pool.

The hotel is in a gorgeous setting & the rooms are clean, tidy & comfortable. As we stayed there in a group for a friends wedding nearby we got to see a few of the rooms. On the right hand side of the ground floor they have terraces which would have been nice but the offset is the room & bathroom is slightly more dated than the one we stayed in. Our friends had an upstairs rooms with mezzanine level. The pool was very refreshing if slightly cold to get in. We didn't have the breakfast but friends did & said it was very good. Although food isn't usually severed at lunchtime the staff made up a salad for us which was very tasty.

We have stayed in Nimes before and love it!.. We usually stay in the centre but due to the Feria everything was booked...

We were very pleasantly surprised , this lovely little hotel in pleasant rural surroundings was perfect after all day partying at the festival.

Bus stop across the road , buses on the half hour at €1 a pop to the centre of Nimes.. Travel time approx 20 mins... Beats the taxi fare at €20 minimum.. We have always found taxis here very expensive and the bus service is excellent.. We will stay here next year for certain.

The hotel is a little out of town - we had a car so this was not a problem but it would probably make the hotel unsuitable for people travelling without a car.

Le Pre Galoffre Hotel - out of town and quiet!

A comfortable hotel situated about 15 minutes by car from the centre of Nimes and therefore a much more peaceful environment than a city centre hotel. Incidently the centre of Nimes currently (February 2012) resembles a building site with major roadworks taking place, so navigation even with the aid of satnav is problematical.

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean and quite spacious.

Car parking not a problem (free and on site) something of an advantage over your central Nimes alternative.

Better signage to reach the hotel would have helped get us there. Breakfast was pretty basic and during the winter months there was no restaurant open.

All in all value for money and a good base for seeing the area.

Great service at this family owned/run hotel

If you have a car then the fact that the hotel is a 10-15 minute drive from the centre of Nimes is not a problem. In fact the location in the countryside on the outskirts of the busy town centre is a bonus - including free parking!. The hotel is owned and run by a French family and they are much in evidence. We stayed for 3 nights in early October and the wife was doing all the cooking. She used local produce to prepare regional and national dishes each day. We ate our breakfast & dinner al fresco next to the swimming pool. The hotel itself has limited public areas but there is another property (best described as an auberge) next door where there is a bar, tennis courts and another larger pool. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Nimes itself is delightful and is a great base for visiting places such as Pont du Gard, Avignon, Arles, Montpellier and Narbonne. If you don't mind a 2 hour drive then don't miss the medieval town of Carcassonne. We loved our stay at the hotel - it was such a welcome change from a standard hotel chain property. We will return!

Yep, it's out of town. Yes you need a car. Get over it, the hotel is lovely and a gorgeous break from the centre-of-town hotels. We spent just under a week travelling from Avignon to Nice, and most of our hotels were in town. This one was a lovely contrast.

It seemed to be a Mother and daughter pair (?) (and sometimes young grand daughters too) looking after things while we were there, and despite the Mother having little English, she tried very hard with us since we spoke no French.

The set menu at the hotel makes for an easy dinner (ie. you don't need to drive anywhere). It was 25 euro a head when we were there (not including wine) for 3 courses. Yep, no wine list so if you're on a budget, best to ask about prices before you order a bottle. We enjoyed the meal (and the wine!), which is served by the pool.

The rooms are lovely, and all a little different. Mine was a little dark, but its not like I was spending much of the day time in it! Would happily stay here again - a nice country retreat.

It's not that hard to find and it is signposted. We drove past it the first time (mainly because it was on the other side of the road and we'd left it too late to turn). No real problem. Just look it up on a map before you go, or take a SatNav thing.

We loved how this hotel was out of the city. It wasn't a bad drive into the city either. The room was beautiful, but the patio was even better! It was a really nice, comfortable place to be. The only word of caution is that if you book with hotels.com, make sure they don't charge you in the morning, as hotels.com has likely already charged you. But it was no big deal to straighten it out. Very highly recommended and very unique.

Follow signs to Mas Galoffre, as it shares the same drive. You do need a car, as this is 10 mins south of Nimes. Wind noise could be mistaken for road noise as this hotel is situated within some fast roads although it is down a drive. Rooms on the side of Mas Galoffre are quiet, and there was no disturbance from other guests. The rooms are quite small but have all the necessary facilities. Very clean with modern touches. All rooms are en-suite and have baths with shower attachment. Breakfast is at an extra cost so we had coffee and croissant elsewhere! The owner was friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking. We stayed beginning of April so pool was not ready, but I think it would be nice to sit and have breakfast in the summer season by the pool, and I assume you could have evening meals there also, although we did not eat at the hotel. The hotel is reasonably priced and we were satisfied with our choice.

Hotel Le Pre Gallofre outside Nimes, france

This beautiful hotel created from part of a farm was in a perfect location to travel into Nimes but be away from the uhstle & bustle. A good bus service with very economical tickets was available across the access road. Care needed to be taken to cross this busy road. the surroudning area contained playing fields and a naturally landscaped park with plenty of places to roam. Sadly it was too cold to use the swimming pool but adjacent to it there was a lovely area to take meals. A menu complet dinner was excellent value and qual;ity. The breakfast was delicions and extensive and good value.
My only suggestions would be that the open area alongside the rooms had more plants & that the original design could have made the rooms slightly bigger by reducing the corridor width.

Great hotel, dinner but hard to find

To find this hotel, we had a difficulty. The address shown on Hotels.com is so generic and Route de Générac was a road of about 10km or more. Would help to have more specific address.

The hotel was good and the dinner that this hotel offer (with additional charge) was so wonderful. The dinner was very reasonably priced and one of the most delicious meal we had while in France.

A very nice room that smelled well. Very clean and nice decor. Friendly staff, lovely swimming pool and what seems like a very nice restaurant for breakfast and dinner (we didn't use it).

Good value to easily access Nimes airport

Room was clean but was a little dark. It would be difficult to get to without car rental. There was a restaurant onsite, but otherwise the nearest place to get food or other conveniences would be the Carré Sud mall complex a few km away.

Would recommend as providing very good value for the price and a convenient hotel that is 10-15 min drive from Nimes airport.

What a find!

Yes, it was difficult to find even with the GPS, but what a great stay. Charming newish small hotel in a nice setting. It took a bit of a drive in and out of the city center, but it was worth it. The pool was wonderful after a super hot day of site-seeing. The service was nice, the breakfast was nice, the room was small, but perfectly adequate. New and clean bathroom. Stay here!

Comfortable, but a little outdated

Located in a rural area several miles outside of Nimes, Hôtel Le Pré Galoffre was a comfortable place to stay, but the room itself was a little outdated.

Pluses:
- Tranquil location
- Nice forested grounds with pool

Minuses:
- No elevator - we had to drag our suitcases up two flights of winding stairs
- Outdated room - bathroom grout was a little dirty, furniture was stained, and in general the room needed to be refurbished

Excellent facility with welcoming, friendly staff. The pool-side evening meal was a great experience of high quality french cooking. The owners cooked and served the food! A great boutique hotel, worth staying in again!

L’hôtel est dans un cadre idyllique. Le service est parfait avec des personnes aux petits soins. Le dîner est créatif et très bon. Par contre un point vraiment négatif est la piscine. Pas la température mais l’eau est vraiment trouble et laiteuse et les carrelage sont vaseux. Nous avions sélectionné cet hôtel pour cet équipement et n’avions pas pu en profiter.

Das Gebäude ein alter Bauernhof wurde liebevoll restauriert. Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Die Zimmer waren neu renoviert. Lediglich der Fußboden war leider kein Holzboden.
Die Fenster nur einfach verglast, was im Sommer nicht störend war. In Nîmes ist man in 5 Minuten mit dem Auto. Es gibt genügend Parkmöglichkeiten direkt beim Hotel. Das Bad war auch neu renoviert. Es ist ein Pool beim Hotel, da wir auf der Durchreise nach Spanien waren konnten wir den leider nicht nutzen.

Nous avons dormi chez Le Pré Galoffre après un séjour en Espagne en rentrant à la maison en Suisse. Tout c'est bien passé chez Le Pré Galoffre. Comme petite note: dans notre chambre manquait un sêche-cheveux et la salle du déjeuner etait très froide.

Petit hôtel chaleureux où le personnel est accueillant et à votre écoute. Les chambres sont mignonnes (petite), et même si certains éléments datent début 2000 et paraissent vieillot, un charme indéniable se dégage de cet hôtel. Les chambres sont propres et les linges sont bien blanc. Le petit déjeuner est vraiment varié et bon . Pour 7€50, je le trouve très complet. En conclusion, Pour ce tarif, franchement, foncez pour un week end en famille ou en amoureux
