The voile blind fell from the window in the middle of the night waking us. It was impossible to refit.
The waterfall shower head was impossible to use. The water came from the edges of the head. The regular holes were calcified. This surely should have been noticed by the room cleaners and reported. I was unable to have a satisfactory shower using the hand attachment.

Nice big courtyard view from the room. Good pillows, very nice shower. No time to eat but the menu looked very reasonable. However, we HATED the transparent bathroom door (ok, translucent)! Why would anyone want this? Normal people need privacy! Apart from this I would like to stay here again en route to Toulouse.

Great city centre hotel.

Great clean hotel near city centre. Quiet place. Very comfortable beds. COVID secure. Great breakfast included in our stay. Pleasant efficient staff. Parking opposite hotel €7 extra in secure gated car park. Lovely bathroom with fantastic Nuxe products. Would recommend it

Nice hotel - bad breakfast

I told the receptionist where I was parked, she did not tell me there was an extra charge to park there so that was a bit of a shock at checkout the following day.
The breakfast was aweful!, my husband ended up having a single piece of bread with some jam & a coffee, even the orange juice was not real. I chose the camembert only to find it was a cheese spread :( even the fruit salad was bad.
I would stay there again because the staff were great and the room was lovely, but I would go out for breakfast because it was vile.

Good hotel where I would stay at again

It was a modern hotel with a decent free European breakfast. It was about a half mile walk to any food places.

Good Stopover

Nice hotel with pleasant staff. Secure parking and dog friendly. Breakfast ok but limited cooked options were poor. Immediate area around hotel is pleasant (building itself is very nice) but local town is not worth looking at. If coming by car ignore your satnav and come in from junction 12 as it's much better access that way.

Good stopover on our way south. Good, secure parking for a reasonable supplement. Room. very comfortable, quiet, very clean and good level of amenities. Excellent shower. Super breakfast buffet, hot as well as cold food, good variety.
Dinner not so good,Dining room smelt of stale frying and staff were somewhat offhand. Ordered romr the al la carte menu and was disappointed. Steak was chopped into bits, contained a lot of inedible wobbly fat, not very much meat, chips were soggy and unappetizing. Bad value at £25. Dessert was very nice but small and not worth its £9.

Had a fabulous stay at this hotel . met up with family in the town centre just minutes away to walk. bars and restaurants a plenty. highly recommend.

The hotel is in the centre of a fairly commercial area not far from the station, not very enticing. The hotel is very good, the staff very helpful. The restaurant food is very good except that one or two things we wanted weren't available; not good to see the menu being changed 15 minutes after opening for dinner, lack of co-ordination with the chef ? Breakfast good. Chateauroux as a town did not impress.

Car Park not secure

The chargeable car park had broken security pads.... so no security but still charged. The bed mattress was in poor condition and needed to put the settee cushions underneath.

Perfect overnight stop in France

Hotel was easy to find and provided secure parking overnight for €5. Room was clean and spacious although the sofa bed proved a little uncomfortable for the kids. Having said that, great accomodation for family of 4 with kids staying free with breakfast included. Would most certainly recommend for an overnight stop or longer. Chateauroux town centre a short walk with plenty of cafés/bars/restaurants although hotel restaurant looked good also. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Great for family stop over

Used this hotel as a stopover when travelling from UK to SW France. Convenient for the motorway and a great room for our family (2 young kids). The room was split over 2 levels, so could put kids to bed away from us whilst still having them securely in our room - worked very well. Mini kitchenette there with fridge/freezer as well which was handy for sorting out the travelling picnics!

Great stopover on the way to lower France.

Very impressed with this hotel after a previous bad experience in Chateauroux. Will definitely use it again. Very easy and quick to get to from A20 motorway.
The only (slightly) negative thing was the almost indecent haste with which we were served our dinner. we were left with the perception that the restaurant/kitchen staff were anxious to get away depsite the fact that it was only 8.00pm! Breakfast was excellent.

Points négatifs: Description des chambres à mettre à jour sur le site Expedia: celles-ci ne sont plus équipées de mini-bar depuis les JO 2024 (selon la Réception) - Climatisation de la chambre verrouillée en mode chauffage: nécessite l'ouverture de la fenêtre afin d'obtenir de l'air frais (heureusement que T° Extérieur = 14°C).

Très calme, bien insonorisé et petit déjeuner très varié.
Seul petit point hisoire d'en trouver un, le loquet de la porte de la salle de bains qui ne fonctionnait pas et la porte vitrée.

Un accueil agréable à l’arrivée et une remise de la carte de la chambre rapide.
Repas du soir au restaurant de l’hôtel.
Équipe très efficace en salle et bien organisée + vente suggestive. Un chef cuisinier (seul) qui prépare les plats délicieux et très chauds pour l’ensemble des convives.
Seul bémol pour moi, le réseau TV interrompu à plusieurs reprises durant la soirée. Peut-être indépendamment de l’hotel…
