Parking was difficult and tight, limited spots available. For those not used to backing into a parking spot in rugged terrain… might be a challenge. Room was sufficient but black spots in shower and screws between bathroom and room not flush to the floor… someone could hurt themselves. Quiet, except in AM when neighbor remodeling his home. Beautiful view of St Jean de Luz.

Nice hotel in an elevated position.

The access would be difficult in a large car; it’s up a steep hill and down a gravel track so if you’ve got a Maserati, go somewhere more expensive!
We didn’t have a sea view room but I wish we’d paid more to get one- the hotel is in a lovely, elevated position above the town. We had a view of the building site next door (oh well).
Comfortable bed and a good night’s sleep. We were particularly impressed with the buffet breakfast featuring local products - although at 15ish Euros, it wasn’t cheap.

I had a wonderful stay here at this beautiful hotel.
The room was lovely, and the service was excellent.
My only caution is for those with mobility issues- the beautiful views of this hotel are due to being on top a a large hill. If you will not have a car. I hope you are fit!

Really cute place and it's really easy to walk to restaurants, bars and cafes within 5min. It's also a nice walk to he city centre which is 15-20min away but we didn't feel it took that long as the walk is by the water and beautiful scenery. Clean, comfortable and staff were nice. The parking can be a bit tricky for SUV and big cars as you need to drive up a narrow streets but once you park there you walk walk to everywhere so it wasn't an issue for us highly recommend this place.

Hotel was fine but the steep one car wide street with 2 way traffic was a fright! Hotel was very difficult to find as the sign said “private”. There were 95 steps to the town level and a short section was in poor repair.

For $70 a night it was a bargain with a sweeping ocean view. Driving up to the property was a challenge, very narrow and hilly and quite difficult to find but once there the view was world class.

There were lots of things we loved about this hotel - the views, its character and the staff. The room was quite small but most of all the photograph on Expedia makes it look as if the hotel is on / next to the beach. In fact the hotel is one of the properties up the hill. A steep and uneven set of steps takes you to sea level. However this and it being a little pricey for what you get, would not stop us going back.

Perfect location for visitng the Basque Coast.

Located across the river, a short walk to town, with parking on site, and a fabulous view this is the perfect spot to visit the Basque Coast. The staff was helpful and the breakfast was delicious and delightful on the terrace overlooking the harbor. The room was modern and nicely decorated. Great stop for a night or two.

Top upgrade as winter time, excellent views from all parts, especially breakfast terrace. Exceptional unlimlted continental breakfast, including 20 types of jam and (loose) teas. Very friendly owners, an absolute privilege to receive such good service, and indeed the whole experience. Just an enroute stopover to Spain this time, we'll return asap for a longer stay, the whole area looks very enticing

Overnight stay whilst travelling from Spain to UK. Rooms with harbour views are a must. The breakfast room overlooks the bay of St.Jean de Luz - great view.
The room was quirky and nicely presented, but the double bed was soft and we both roles into the middle. Overall good value.

We had a lovely stay at Agur Denari. The hotel is very nice & comfortable, and the owners/staff were very kind to us - in particular helping us figure out how to get our rental car into reverse.

The room was small but clean and comfortable and we really enjoyed the balcony with sea view. We had room #15 and were very pleased to stay here.

It was a very easy 15 minute walk into St Jean de Luz...the hill was not as bad as some previous reviewers made out. If you are in any shape at all, it is not an issue.

it was difficult & frustrating to find the hotel even with the garmin.
The staff and manager were great, he even had wine glasses, beach parasol for us. A small fee for beach towels. Breakfast was delicious.

To say the steps leading to the city and beach are very steep would be a huge understatement. Far from the center of the city.Towels weren't changed and room wasn't cleaned even tho we put the sign up on the door. Good continental breakfast, even tho alittle expensive at @11 euros per person to have breakfast on your balcony. More of an elderly crowd. Friendly and helpful staff. Make sure to get a room with a seaview, the views were breathtaking!

This hotel is extremely difficult to find even with a SatNav,located way above the town where all the facilities,restaurants are situated. if you have mobility problems Don't go there!! It is a 15 minute walk to the town and when we were there it was off season so most restaurants were closed so very disappointing.
No tea or coffee making facilities in the room this should surely be a standard requirement,No lift, this is not a place to stay if you are disabled.
Shower tray cracked and very stingy with shower gel,no hand soap, this hotel needs a make over.
Staff very helpful and breakfast very good.

QUAINT all in CAPS!!!....wlk down steps out the back way and you are in St Jean de Luz in 5 minutes!! Admittedly kind of confusing driving to the place, winding narrow roads!...but once there, a BEAUTIFUL view of beach from room and breakfast area.....wonderful welcome by staff/owner..VERY HELPFUL!!...He even drove our car out of parking lot since we were having a hard time!!...would stay here again and again!!

I stayed there during my friends' wedding in Ciboure, and am happy that we stayed there. It is little bit of a walk from the station, but you will forget all of that workout when you wake up in the morning and have breakfast at the terrace with great view. (you even hear birds!)

A wonderful place to spend a night.

A wonderful hotel to spend a night. Very French. Nice people with a wonderful little, quaint hotel that overlooks the sea. Too bad that they automatically do not upgrade your room when there are so few guests staying but I did not ask so my fault. Very difficult to find even with a GPS unit. It is tucked in around a corner.

I would recommend and go back without hesitation.

We were in Ciboure for 4 nights, 5 days. The hotel staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. Breakfast on the terrace was a delight, and there was a great view of the bay from the terrace. Clean room, modern bathroom. We could walk to St. Jean de Luz and explore the surrounding areas easily. Would definitely stay there again and hope to return soon.

This hotel was fantastic but be sure to reserve a room with the ocean view. There are about four rooms that have an unbelieveable view of the ocean and the main portion of St. Jean-de-Luz. Without the view, the hotel is fine, but the view makes it wonderful. The staff, husband and wife (i think) spoke no english but were very nice and helpful when necessary. Also, get the breakfast in the morning, which is served on the patio also overlooking the ocean.

A notre arrivée la réceptionniste n’a pas été aimable du tout. Notre chambre au premier étage était très basique. Heureusement vue sur la plage, pour se rendre en ville, l’hôtel est bien situé à environ 900m du port, mais pour si rendre il faut emprunter un escalier vraiment escarpé et très pentu ce qui n’est pas précisé sur l’annonce!

Hormis une petite déception liée à la réservation par Hotel.com tout s'est bien passé.
J'avais en effet réservé une chambre avec balcon et vue mer pour 153,80€ et j'ai eu une première chambre sans balcon et vue sur le parking qui sentait un peu la cigarette.
Au final l'hôtelier nous a reloger dans une chambre sans balcon mais avec vue mer et port mais au prix de 168,50€ au lieu des 153,80 affichés par votre site.

Souhait de fermeture de l'accueil à l'horaire indiqué et non 1/4 d'heure avant pour éviter d'être enfermé dehors quand on n'avait pas prévu de mémoriser encore le code. Matelas trop mou. Ce serait bien d'avoir des draps en plein été au lieu d'une couette pour éviter de mettre la clim' la nuit. On avait trop chaud...
Le meilleur petit-déjeuner de mes vacances ! Que des produits locaux !!
Il faut être Musclor pour ouvrir correctement la porte coulissante de la salle d'eau (mérite un coup d'huile).

Fantastic little hotel

For the price you pay, this hotel is absolutely beautiful. Spotlessly clean and well decorated and kept. Sea view rooms with breathtaking views. Quiet, charming neighborhood, proximity to the beach... If you are a couple or have kids that are 10+ years old, no problem.
However, if you are a family with a small child, a person who have troubles with going up a lot of very steep stairs and have no car to remedy that situation, avoid it. There are, according to my phone, 7 floors worth of stairs to get to the hotel from the bottom of the hill. Else, you have to climb up a winding road, which is also somewhat steep. But if that poses no issue for you, don’t hesitate.
Another thing to note is that the reception is not open 24/7, as it is a family run establishment. We arrived during their break (12-4 pm) but they kindly checked us in after we gave them a call. But do keep that in mind if you are coming between those hours.

Hotels.comからの予約が通っていなかった。予約確認書を見せて、ようやく部屋を提供した。さらに、予約直後に一方的に半額前金を引き落としておきながら、それを認めず全額請求してきた。カード会社のAppからウェブ明細を見せて引き落とし日を提示したところ、紙のレシートを1枚ずつ確認し、ようやく引き落としを認めた。全て終わるのに30分以上かかった。確認できる材料が無ければ、半額没収されて放り出されるところだった。ほとんど詐欺に近い。当然のことながら謝罪など一切ない。施設の評価などどうでも良い。それ以前の問題。この辺りに泊まるなら、歩いてすぐ(約1.5km)のSaint-Jean-de-Luzにするべき、観光場所は全部そちらにある。

Je recommande vivement cet établissement, certes le parking est un peu petit, mais j'ai eu de la place pour garer mon Renault Trafic du fait qu'on ne soit pas en saison.
Les gérants sont vraiment agréables et sympathiques, la chambre au 2eme étage avec vue sur la mer, la plage et le port de Ciboure à couper le souffle, vraiment magnifique et reposant, la chambre a été refaite récemment et est très bien décorée dans le thème du pays basque.

un Accueil tres chaleureux à compensé certains petits cotés négatifs.
nous avons été surclasser et avons beneficié d'une vue sur le port de St Jean de Luz.
Pour nous le point négatif a été la presence de toiles d'araignées, un sol en lino mal posé avec des plis et un lit qui grinçais comme dans les vieux hotels d'autrefois, la porte de salle de bain qui ne ferme pas car complètement déréglé. un peu d'entretien ne nuirait pas.
Pour le petit déjeuner, bien que suffisant pour beaucoup, le buffet manquait d'ampleur au vu du tarif demandé, mais des produits de bonnes qualités

Super séjour chambre spacieuse dommage qu'il n'y ait pas eu d'armoire pour mettre nos affaires ( juste 2casiers et 5 cintres ...)
Quartier très calme .On peut vraiment décompresser !

Habitacion mala y trato muy malo. No han sido capaces de darnos una habitacion para 3 personas k era lo k abiamos akordado. Y l precio era d 140 ppr noche.

Flott utsikt og nydelig plass for frokost! God frokost med kjempe god kaffe. Ellers et relativt umoderne hotell med helt elendig parkering. Er man ikke glad i å kjøre i trange gater og bratte bakker bør man styre unna eller parkere i byen. Varierende humør på personalet. Vi fikk en ganske sur velkomst fra en mann, men damen som styrte var mer sprudlende.

Hotellet hadde en frokost-terrasse med flott utsikt til den store stranda i St.Jean de Luz.

Excellent value for money

This hotel was one of the best we stayed during our two week round trip in France.

Our room had a lovely harbour view and a really good bed (not too soft). The hotelier was really friendly and prepared a nice breakfast. Free parking and close location to Saint-Jean-de-Luz center is a big plus. I would stay here again.

Pænt lille hotel i roligt kvarter.

Pænt men lidt lille værelse med gode senge. Vi spiste morgenmad på balkonen, som var rigtig flot med fantastisk udsigt. Der var \"havudsigt\" fra værelset, men man kunne kun se havet, hvis man lænede sig ud af vinduet. Der var et stykke vej at gå til byen og stranden ned af stejle trapper.
