Hotel RESOL is conveniently located opposite to the market and within walking distance to Kenrokuen Garden and the Kanazawa Castle Park. I like the corridor with floor lamps on the walls and very soft music. The room is very clean and quiet, spacious for a solo traveler. The breakfast buffet is delicious and healthy. Definitely will stay here again next time.

A great location very close to Omicho market and within 20 mins walk of other Kanazawa highlights.
Room was average size for Japanese hotels (small!) and clean. Staff were lovely. A comfortable shared lounge with a coffee machine.
Two things disappointed us. One is that there is no parking at the hotel as the booking site suggested. Instead you park in a covered public car park and the hotel reimburses the cost. It was all very efficient but the car park is a five minute walk away - enough for you and your luggage to get soaked when raining.
The second disappointment is that there are only two washer/dryers for the whole hotel and both have security locks. So even if a previous user doesn’t collect their washing for an hour or more, you can’t empty the machine and get on with using it. When we were there, several other people were, like us, spending an evening flitting between the two machines hoping to find one free. So, if you’re travelling, don’t bank on being able to do your washing here.

The only thing I would ask to improve is continental breakfast options. Just having cereal and a bit more fruit would be nice. Other way is not worth to pay for breakfast.

Even though this property isn't an apartment hotel (we stayed in a suite suitable for 3 people), they still provided dinnerware upon request. Water bottles provided everyday. Very close to nice shopping mall (5 minute walk) and taxi stand. Best to take a taxi to Kanazawa station.

Staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very close to the Omicho markets which are abuzz with people. The hotel is no more than a 1000 yen fare from Kanazawa train station. The hotel isn’t far from Kenrokuen Gardens which is a must see. It’s a pleasant walk, if you like walking through the Kanazawa Castle grounds to the gardens.

The rooms and the hallway on 2nd floor had the loudest noise the whole time. Anyone who walks on the 2nd floor towards the end of the hallway will hear it very loud and clear. When I open the room door, the noise stops, and when I close the room door, the loud noise comes back on. It sounds to be bad construction of the hallway ventilation system.

The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well-located to access both the station (15 minute walk), the fish market (across the street), and the old parts of town (15 minute walks). The hotel staff are very helpful and speak adequate English. The rooms are on the smaller side, which is normal in Japan, and if you have a lot of luggage, you may find it a bit tricky to find space to put it and to get into it. The hotel offers a laundry area so I recommend that you pack light and just plan to do laundry if you plan a longer trip. They (as well as the other 4 properties at which we stayed) also provide large, refillable (i.e. not single use) bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hand wash so you can save suitcase space by not packing those toiletries. The property also offers some queen sized beds if, like my husband, you are very tall or, as in my case, very pregnant. My favorite feature of this property was the deep soaking tub; however, as the shower is in the tub, you may have a bit of trouble getting into and out of it if you suffer mobility problems (particularly hip or knee issues).

Hotel seems new and well kept. A lot of extras inside room eg air freshener, charging cables even toiletries nicely packed and encourage you to take home as souvenir. Free parking tho about 100m away. Staff friendly n helpful. Value for money

Reception close at midnight, 1am we had to knock on window to find staff and gain access e.g. no door bell. Beside 7-Elevan, opposite fish markets and easy 10 minutes walk to main JR railway station. Central to main attractions, nice train ride to Uchinada beach where you can hire bicycle to explore that area.

We had a twin room which had plenty of room, free toiletries and very quiet. Had a great nights sleep. Location was good opposite the ohmachi fish market and bus stops outside. Free green tea downstairs and a restaurant which we didn't use but plenty of other people did

Hotel of Friendliness and Convenience

The hotel may take 10-15 minutes to reach, on foot, it provides the necessary amenities that one will need. Especially when you're going to be in Kanazawa for some days and you need your clothes to be washed, the coin laundry that provides both washing and drying function would be the best amenity. The staff are friendly and helpful, and there are easy access to shopping malls and convenience stores. It was definitely an enjoyable stay at Hotel Resol Trinity Kanazawa!

Overall, the stay was excellent. Great location and condition of the hotel itself and the room. Only downside was the cigarette smell in the lobby even though there was no one smoking in there. Might be due to ventilation system and how it recycles air in the lobby.

The staff are professional and friendly and the services here are very good. The rooms are a little small even for Japan standards but they were clean and very well maintained. The restaurant is very expensive and only serves Italian food, which isn't what I visited Japan for but there are many options in the area, except at breakfast which can be very difficult to find a simple western style breakfast in the immediate area.
But overall we enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.

Hotel is within 200m of Omicho Market and the Kanazawa Castle is about 500m away so good location. Only issue was arrived on New Years Eve and there was a lack of places to eat as normally open places closed for the celebrations.

Nice hotel with some drawbacks

On the whole, this is a good hotel, very clean and great staff. We were happy that we could walk around both sides of the bed, ie one side was not pushed against a wall as in many Japanese hotels. The drawbacks were that there was a decided smell of cigarette smoke in the foyer/reception area; and that we couldn't adjust our room air-conditioning down to a cooler temperature as it was set by the hotel. Also, it was a bit of a distance from the main train station.

Cosy hotel in good location

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Resol Trinity. They helped us reserve tickets for the tour at the Ninja Temple which we weren't able to do without speaking Japanese. Tons of free toiletries and refreshments for the room. Great location opposite Omicho market and right by a bus stop for the loop bus. It's also located only 15 minutes walk away from the main station.
