If you want to get away from it all , this is the place, this little island . No casino , no golf club, no cars, no TV, only adults , landscaping lovingly maintained , but not excessively, super friendly staff, incredible massage team. Bring books and relax and sleep off your stress , on this island you are condemned to do nothing but enjoy the hospitality.

We were greeted with the very friendly and accommodating staffs. The welcome drinks are very refreshing.The check in process was very smooth. The place is very quiet and I could feel the island vibes. The service is excellent. I traveled with my family with 2 kids and we enjoyed the water activity(kayaking) and the various entertainment at each night.I definitely recommend this place for people who likes peaceful and quiet place and also would definitely stay here again.

We absolutely loved our stay! Arriving on an overcasted day, the resort was a bit sleepy but once the sun rays came through later in the day, the resort was gorgeous! Overall, we loved the staff. Shout out to Clifford at the restaurant. He was our favorite and such a hard worker! Come for a night and you'll find yourself staying for the service/team

Nice large room with private pool.
Ocean and mountain view.
Very good food, authentic choices.
Nice easy diving.
Many on-land activities.
Live entertainment every night.
They were very ethical in separating a Chinese group that came before the virus outbreak. The group was safe but the management did a very good job respecting the group (organized a separate \"wedding type\" dinner on the beach) and putting the rest of guests at ease by separating them.
Very nice, friendly, and sincere staff. THANK YOU AMOR, SHEILA, DENIS and the rest of dive staff and hotel staff!!

Cons:
The west and north ends need some housekeeping.
Showers at the beach need to be fixed.

The property is beautiful! They pick you up in a boat to go over to the island and then 2 staff members met us on the dock with flowers. Staff was great and it was very relaxing.
What was sad is the beach had a lot of junk on it that had blown in but had not been picked up for a while, plastic bottles, bags and numerous other things. I went to lay on the beach and saw I was surrounded by garbage. I got a bag and picked and filled it full then went and grabbed a couple staff members and got them to join me. One hour later it was clean. Hopefully they are keeping it up

It was a nice resort. Way overpriced. Not super beautiful white-sand beaches, lots of rocks. Had a tacky show to go along with dinner. I would have paid half of what I did for the value of the stay, that it probably why there was only 2 other small groups of customers there.

My overall stay was fine, accommodation was comfortable, clean and spacious. The service and staff were great. The only two points would be I received no prior information that you need to make your way to way to the dedicated port so a boat can collect you. Also I was very ill from a meal that I ate there for a few days which ruined my stay for the duration I spent at the Badian island wellness resort.

Nice escape from Cebu City but overpriced

Our 2 night stay was pleasant enough. The location was great particularly if you want to escape from the noise of Cebu City! However due to its isolated location it was not the easiest place to get to and there was no information provided on their website on how to get there (after speaking to the locals we hoped onto a tricycle which took us to the dock opposite the island where they had a speed boat that would take us to the island free of charge, 24/7!). The resort itself was good with all the amenities you would expect for the star rating and price and helpful staff on-hand (if you could find them!). The room was good; spacious with air-con, outdoor balcony and complete with an outdoor bath! We thought the restaurant food was good for both breakfast and dinner however we were keen to eat elsewhere because it was expensive compared to places on the mainland. The resort whilst having all of these wellness and relaxation facilities felt somewhat aged and could do with a rethink. Their organic farm for example was merely the odd tree and hedge and their gaming room was a let down (pool table was ripped, some of the balls missing and was not even level!) So for the money it doesn't fully justify its value. However with a bit of TLC and thought on how to bring it into the 21st century it could be a fantastic destination.

It was one of the best resorts we have been to! The friendliness and courtesy of the staff made the experience memorable. Although the drive was quite long from the airport, all we have to say is that drive is worth it. The spa was an amazing experience! Definitely something to check out if you are there to unwind. Only one restaurant is located on the Island, but the boat ride to the main island is always open. There was a little bit of a mix up with one of the orders we made with the restaurant. We ordered medium rare steak, but they accidentally gave us medium rare pork. Communication there also needs to be improved. Staff usually doesn’t communicate or explain things clearly - so always ask questions to make sure your experience will be a good one. All in all if you are looking for a place to just sit back relax, and enjoy a drink or two. Badian Island is the place to be!

Serene beautiful location - 4 hours from airport

The hotel is a lot further than the airport than they say on the website - allow 3.5 hours minimum (i had very little traffic and it was closer to 4). The staff are lovely and the location is amazing; but the beach / sea isn’t up to much. The hotel itself is quite run down; i didn’t have hot water for the first night and day of the stay; couldn’t get an answer from the room service or activity booking numbers; the sauna wasn’t working and the thallaso spa is a bit limited. The pool area is nice and th food isn’t too bad; but overall it’s probably 3.5 to 4 star at the very best. Good place to get away though, and the staff are sweet and well meaning.

The Island was great and relaxing. It was our second time here, the last one being 5 years ago. Unfortunately since that time nothing changed, it could use some upgrades as the place is getting old. The people were friendly though but could use an improvement in service. The manager did share with us that they are in the process of doing major upgrades. Overall the island is still worth visiting.

Was the worst hotel i have ever stayed in in my entire life! Crazy price for what you get! We went to the Radisson for three days afterwards for less than one day in Badian and had free drinks/cocktails/food all day in a lovely hotel!!! No wifi in Badian only in the reception area where you have ants and bugs all over you. Ants in all the food in breakfast buffet, we left and ate elsewhere

A very special place

Set on an island of the Moalboal coast, the resort features luxurious bungalows, beautifully decorated with hand-made furnishings, and fairly deserted sandy beaches. Food-wise, many ingredients come from organic gardens at the back of the property. These are wonderful. The spa is very good but expensive – closer to European than Philippines pricing. Look out for daily specials and discounted packages there, which may be attractive. A friendly and professional dive centre is on site – who can take you to the sardines run, Pescador Island and other excellent dive sites. The staff are super friendly – and went out of their way to make a birthday dinner truly memorable.

Quiet / beautiful / friendly / 5*

Me and my partner recently spent a few days at the resort.
The drive to the resort from the airport takes around 3- 4 hours.
During this time you will see the true Cebu, very poor, fairly unplesant.
However .... arriving at Badian Island hotel is like a quiet piece of heaven.
Immediately greated by a boat to make the short 5 minute crossing (very smooth, comfortable - NO WAVES !) .
Upon arrival to the island you are made to feel very welcome, given a fresh flower necklace and a welcome drink and a chance to relax after a long journey ( 24 hours for us!).
The staff at the hotel are 5***, very friendly and helpful.
The hotel was very quiet and peaceful surrounded by sea and beautiful mountains.
They have a coral beach for snorkelling which I recommend, Rudy - Who showed us around the coral reefs was great, very friendly and we enjoyed snorkelling with him.
The room was nice, there was no tv or WiFi in the room which is a shame, but it was good for us as we are usually always on our phones and laptops so it was a welcome break - added to the QUIET experience.
The food is nice, we are not very adventurous with food and we were fine with the choices and quality of the food was also fine.
Upon leaving the hotel, the staff walk you to the boat singing and playing guitar, truly wonderful and emotional.
Overall, I loved my stay at the hotel, I would truly recommend it to all of my friends.

Didn't know till I arrived that I had to take a short boat ride to get to the resort. That's ok, but found out I cannot be off the resort after 10pm because they don't offer the boat service. So that was discouraging because we wanted to go listen to some live music but had know way to return. Also had to sacrifice a paid night stay there and get a hotel near the airport because of the boat service hours. The bed and pillows were extremely uncomfortable. The sink drain and overhead shower did not work properly. Now let me say the staff was wonderful. Even at times understaffed it seemed, they were very kind. Spa with Carren was excellent. Food is good. Beach is ok, but do not expect a large smooth Sandy beach.

We were greeted with smiles and a lei of kalachuchi/plumeria. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
The only compaint I have regarding the hotel is that its very dated and not well maintained. The dock was missing a few steps and scared it may give. The rooms were old and rustic, maybe a feel of being in an old cottage but AC was starting to drip in our room at the end of out stay and looked like it hasn't been replaced since the 80's. You also don't have a way to get around except walk! No golf cart or even just bikes or pedicab to get around since its a large property. Especially if you want to go to the best location for swiming/snorkeling. Otherwise you will need to wait for high tide to use the boat shuttle.
The coral garden is a must go. I've been to many reefs all over the world, including the barrier reef and this is awesome withhout the need to take a boat ride for 2 hours. Its just a 2 minute swim from shore. :).
The island also gives you a secluded feel and relaxation.
Oh btw. No TV. Hehe. I wouldn't rate the hotel a 5 star, but a mere 3.5 maybe because of awesome staff.

i booked this hotel to have a quiet, serene, beautiful getaway for rest. the first day there was phenomenal, however we soon learned that a group of 80 was arriving the next day for 'survivor' style team building activities. the big speakers were being set up, lights, games. we expressed our deep concern to the staff that this activity would ruin the quiet, beautiful atmosphere we had traveled far to experience. the next morning, we asked to check out early and have our money refunded for the prepayment of that night. the manager said that it was not possible and after a lengthy discussion, the manager showed suberb judgement and found several other ways to boost the serenity and relaxtion of our trip. we were then so glad we stayed and so pleased in how he treated us. because of that service i would return again. the island and resort is beautiful, and extremely relaxing on its own (without the loud team building activity!)

Incredibly quiet stay with warm, sincere staff

We spent two nights in Mactan, the artificial resort enclave near the airport and two nights at Badian. It was an absolutely amazing, warm stay that made us forget about the 4 hr ride getting there and out. From our arrival, every single staff who helped us, walked passed us, or saw us from afar, made sure to say hello with a smile.

The resort is a bit old but it's complete different from those flashy resorts in Mactan. The facilities were designed to sit well with the natural surroundings. Every single time they cleaned our room, they decorated with fresh flowers.

I traveled with my grandparents in their 80s and the staff made sure that they are comfortable. Our overall stay was relaxing, calm and warm. There were only about 5 rooms occupied so we barely saw anybody else but the staff. I strongly recommend this place mainly because of the people who were working there!

It's me and my girlfriend's first time here in Badian island resort. For its rate of P10,300 per night in a junior suite for this quality of room is way too much. Food is overpriced, dinner buffet at P1,800 per person. Service is very slow, they don't automatically give you menu when you sit down in the restaurant, you should call them for it. This applies while lounging in the beachfront too. If you order ala carte in the menu, it says it comes with blah, blah; it happened twice that they dont service it complete as what is stated in the food we ordered. Room service/housekeeping is useless, at night we requested for mosquito repellant by phone; it never arrived, the following day prior to checking out we requested for a laundry bag; it never came. In totality, the resort is old, not well maintained, and is mismanaged. If you're expecting a 5-star service(based on their rates) this is definitely not the place.

Badian Island was incredible. Long drive from Cebu City for an overnight trip (3 hours), but still worth it. The island is secluded and beautiful, the facilities are comfortable but not over the top, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful.

Fabulous place to relax

I spent 4 days at the Badian Hotel Spa and Resort and used that time to relax by the beach, swim in the pool, relax at their spa, dive in nearby waters and other adventures. It was the perfect place to decompress, with their friendly staff and superb amenities. I would definitely recommend it--and will be coming back!

Disappointing and very expensive

This resort is all about money having to pay a deposit of 20,000 pHp for 2 days before we set foot in the door even though we had fully booked and paid everything... The staff were very friendly but the rooms are tired and maintenance needs to be address on simple things like lights not working flooding bathroom as drain was blocked. The grounds are run down in areas.... Each evening meal was 1700pHp or 3400 for a couple and the food is only average....

Sorry I cannot recommend this resort to anyone even at half the price it is not good value.... stay well clear you have been warned and I do not often write a poor report .... This resort could be brilliant but management need to address the needs of their guests.... I cannot say a bad word about the staff though.... very friendly and helpful....

Your own private island resort

What a lovely stay my family and I had at Badian Island Resort and Spa. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The restaurant served fresh, organic food with vegetables grown in their garden. We took part in several excursions planned by the water sports team including scuba, snorkelling, interacting with whale sharks and visiting beautiful waterfalls. We felt like we were the only people there.

conditions were a little old, not surprising given that it's been around since 1982. Also it is a little hard to get to but the airport transfer arranged by the resort should take care of that (car and a short boat ride needed). That also meant that you will be captive audience to the resort since you can't get off the island. All in, it is good if all you want is a romantic getaway with your other half.

Spent 4 days/3 nights at this resort with my family. It was as if we stepped into a fantasy world. The grounds are pristine, the food magnificent, and the staff as welcoming as anyone we've ever met. Ana - the GM - is an outstanding host, always ready to put together daily excursions suited to our liking. We enjoyed different activities: glass bottom boat, coral reefs, paddleboat, massages and our daughter even had a dance lesson! There's much, much more. We're already making plans to return. Most Romantic Paradise Island Resort!

Badian Island Resort is a beautiful, relaxing and welcoming place to stay. It is worth the three-hour drive from Cebu airport. You are welcomed on arrival with a flower garland and drink. My partner and I stayed in a pool villa, which was massive, with a stunning view from our private pool. Every day the staff decorate the rooms with flowers. There is only one restaurant on the island but dinner is served on the beach or by the pool. The staff will try to up-sell you meal packages which are quite expensive (but do include a large amount of food and drink). It is cheaper to order off the menu each day. Happy hour is between 4:15 and 6:15 at Shell Bar on the beach. There is also a games room where you can enjoy your half-price cocktails while playing a game of billiards. The resort offers a number of excursions off the island, including a guided tour of Kawasan Falls, island-hopping and whale-shark watching. It is worth saving some extra money if you wish to partake in more than one of these, as they are quite pricey. The resort has a PADI dive centre. You can obtain your full diving accreditation in two days or do a half-day beginner course. The island is close to coral reefs filled with amazing marine life. The customer service is excellent; they will go out of their way to accommodate you. The island is great if you are looking for a quiet, relaxing holiday; there were few other guests during our stay in August.

Expensive, but scenery and snorkeling were great

TIPS:
- When coming from Cebu City, the most viable mode of transport is the AIRCON bus from the south terminal - there are only around 4-5 trips per day so find out schedule. We made the mistake of settling for the regular bus and it turned out to be quite a difficult trip given the amount of people on the bus and the general discomfort when you hit the mountain section. If you're willing to spend more for comfort, ask the hotel for a shuttle service. I tried looking online for cheaper van/car rentals, but the hotel seem to have the best rate.

- Tricycles are scarce; majority are still single rider motorcycles so make sure you can carry your luggage with you on a motorcycle

- The side trip to Kawasan Falls is worth it (approx 15-20mins away from the Badian wharf, Manay-as)

PROS:
- Rooms were comfortable and clean
- Staff members were pleasant and generally helpful
- Facilities were well maintained
- Excellent boat transfers
- Scenery was delightful (the backdrop of undulating mountainside against the ocean shore provides a great view for beach goers)
- Fantastic Snorkeling (The Coral Garden was pristine and vibrant)

CONS:
- Despite the good discount from Expedia, I found that room rates were still quite steep
- Food was unremarkable and expensive

Wonderful experience

Words can't describe how wonderful our experience was. From the moment we arrived to the Island to the day of departure we were treated like royalty. The staff was wonderful, and the Island activities were so much fun. The food at the restaurant on site was very good, breakfast was great and the dinner by the beach was also great.
I have no negative comments on our stay, we will definitely return next year to see our tree that we planted. Badian Island is truly a wonderful experience and should not be missed.
There is a great feeling being out there it is almost like you disconnect form it all and can relax and enjoy the Island. I highly recommend this resort and most definitely I recommend it for honeymooners. I would also recommend visiting the local islands by boat.

Costly, yet memorable trip.

Food and individual entertainments were too costly. That too we were stuck in the island resort where one cannot go out and buy his own food easily.

Being pure vegetarians, we had very limited choice, yet the staff did their best to rotate the menu,

Staff were very good in their hospitality and I would say that is the strength of the hotel.

Every outing is extra and costly.

I wish they include basic entertainment such as as trip to the islands (island hopping) and basic massaging and spa.

Even access to spa was chargeable. At least, they should have kept drinking water free of charge.

The adjacent room requires AC as it was too hot during the night.

I was looking forward to visit Kawasan waterfalls but it was closed for renovation. I wish the hotel informed us well before we asked for it.

I hope the owner of this hotel read my comments to make positive improvements.

The receiving of us and the farewell given was really nice and touching.

Don't miss this bit of tropical paridise. It is well worth the time to get there. The hotel,food,activties and staff are everthing you could wish for. Set on an island it is the ideal get away to joy sand sun and a good book. The staff go over board to make your stay everything you want it to be as active or as lazy as you decide. Lots of privacy if want it. Don't miss.

진정한 힐링을 선사하는 리조트

바디안 섬에 있어 조용하게 쉬면서 자연을 느끼고 진정한 힐링을 할수 있는 리조트이며 스노쿨링이나 다이빙 스팟이 너무 아름다운 곳 입니다.
그리고 직원들이 매우 따뜻한 마음씨로 반갑게 대해 줍니다.
불편한 점은 세부 막탄 공항에서 리조트에 예약 한 벤이나 택시로 밤 시간대 이동 시 2시간 30분 정도 걸립니다. 가급적 오후 9시 넘어서 이동하는 것을 팁으로 알려 드리고 싶습니다.
비행 후 또 긴 시간을 이동하는 수고스러움이 있지만 저는 이 리조트가 너무 좋아서 10번 정도 머물렸습니다.
늘 진정한 휴식을 통한 재충전 할수 있기에 가장 좋아하는 리조트입니다.
룸에는 TV도 없고 가끔 조그마한 도마뱀이 놀러 오는 정말 친화경적인 리조트 산호로 가득한 맑은 바다속에 수십종의 알록달록 열대어와 거북이와 함께 수영하며 행복한 시간을 보낼 수 있는 아름다운 리조트.
디너 시간대 전통 공연을 보고 맛사지로 피로를 풀고 수많은 별을 세며 깊은 잠에 드는 리조트로 모든 것이 충족되는 매우 멋진 리조트입니다

Stayed in a villa with a pool but the room was awesome.
However, there was a limit to the amount of hot water that came out. So the shower took water.

空港に着いたがホテル手配のタクシーが分からず名前を出してほしかった。
ホテルまで空港～3時間半～船で5分弱(14時出発～18時15分着)真っ暗で、子供びびっていました。
ボート到着後受付のお姉さん達がいい匂いの花のネックレスをつけてくれた。
5泊6日24時間入れるプールに、SPAは最高！
販売ショップは無し。
朝食はbreakfast 朝が早いオプショナルツアーでも、サンドイッチや、デザート飲み物を用意してくれて、食事は美味しかった！もう少し日本語喋れる方がいるといいかな。
アクシデントもあったが、笑って対応には、感謝した。
もう少しフィリピン文化に使える英語が、自分も勉強してまた行きたい。毎日13時頃ルームクリーニング来てくれて、部屋は清潔でしたが。ヤモリが多かった（笑）

직원들이 매우친절했으며 조용한 휴가를 보내기 좋았다
다른 손님들이랑 마주치는일 조차 거의 없었음
리조트내에 와이파이가 잘 잡혔다
일정때문에 새벽에 일찍나가야해서 조식이용을 못하게되니
샌드위치 , 과일 , 음료를 준비해주는 정성 또한 감동이였다
리조트내에 어떤곳도 화보촬영 스팟이 될수있다!

단점
1.접근성이 많이 떨어짐(공항에서 리조트까지거리가 굉장히 멀다. 반대로 돌아오는날도 멀다ㄷㄷ)
2.숙소에 도마뱀들이 있었고 쥐가 나왔음(동남아 특성이라고 이해해보려고 노력했음ㅠㅠ)
3.신발을 신고 들어가는 방이라 조금 불편했고 샤워기 수압이 약함
(리조트 내 사람들이 걸어다니는 길이 모래여서 방에들어가면 모래때문에 살짝 불편할정도)

주의사항 : 리조트내 풀장이 많이깊다(깊은쪽은 약 2.5m)

Das etwas andere Resort ! Wer hier pompösen Luxus sucht ist fehl am Platz, wer aber das Individuelle und die Ruhe sucht, der ist hier genau richtig.
Viel Liebe zum Detail mit sehr aufmerksamen Personal, wenn auch die Unterkunft schon etwas älter ist, so ist alles absolut sauber.
Ein Hotel um einfach ein paar ruhige Tage zu verbringen und traumhafte Sonnenuntergänge mit einem Cocktail zu geniessen.

Overpriset gammel luksus

Hyggelig betjening, men hotellet bærer virkelig preg av å ikke ha blitt vedlikeholdt på mange år. Var kanskje 5 stjerner en gang, men nå bør det ikke gis mer enn 3. Mat, drikke og spa var svært overpriset. Fin øy, og lite aktiviteter så fungerer greit hvis dere ønsker å slappe av en dag.. rommene var store og rene. Bassenget var fint selv om det bærer preg av å være gammelt.
