The stay was great, the dive shop is also really good. The customer service is excellent, they really go out of their way to make your stay as good as possible and this is what gives it something unique. The only let down was the breakfast. Also their restaurant seems to have limited options from the menu etc so we never had lunch or dinner there.

Our family had a lovely stay at Turtle Bay Dive Resort! Comfortable room and really nice bathroom, kids loved the pool and game room. The food/drinks were fantastic and staff were excellent. We saw sea turtles and the sardines run on our snorkeling excursion to Pescador Island. Turtle Bay had a quiet, relaxing vibe and beautiful ocean views.

The property was well taken care of and safe. The pool was really nice along with the beds in the room being very comfortable. Staff was helpful anytime. Would have given it a 5 star except 2 things; the wifi hardly worked in our room and the water was shut off in the mornings. I mentioned the wifi to the staff but there was nothing that could be done. I had to ask for the water to be turned on first thing in the mornings. Luckily the water pressure was good and worked well throughout the day and night. The cell sefice was akso good in the area so we didn't have a problem using our own service.

Overall I felt like this hotel was overpriced for what you got. We stayed in a deluxe room, which was nice. Bed was comfortable. It was too hot and the AC could not keep it cool enough, but they did also have a fan. The shower was only lukewarm, not hot, but not a huge deal as it was so hot.
Restaurant was ok. Large breakfast portions were nice.
They had a shuttle to the main town for 100 php per person. Laundry was crazy expensive 350php/kg, but it was clean.
We appreciated that they arranged a driver for us to go to Osmena Peak and Kawasan Falls for us last minute (was 5000php).
We did do 2 dives with the dive shop on site. We had been planning to do more, but were not very impressed with them, so did not do more dives. They didn’t seem eager to have us dive with them (didn't respond to our email ahead of time and didn’t acknowledge us when we went down to the shop to look at the dive sites/schedule and to inquire). However we did still book. The boat was not set up well for diving (no designated spots for tanks and awkward to get ready), but the main reason we didn’t do more dives was because they pushed to get us to jump right away without checking the gear or doing a buddy check. They did let me do my checks after I said I wanted to, but then again tried to get me to jump immediately again the next dive without doing buddy checks. The did have good equipment. The fruit and tea/coffee on the boat was nice.
Lastly we did appreciate the free cold water refill stations.

A nice hotel on a spectacular reef. Unfortunately we were unable to dive due to illness but the snorkeling was just fine, over the course of 2 days we saw 5 turtles, a sea snake, lots of sea horses and many fish. The bed was just ok, and breakfast was average but sufficient. A short tricycle ride to town.

This is a dive resort with an amazing house reef! Went to pescador island from this resort and snorkelling was better on the house reef. Take a tricycle into town. It’s worth visiting. Food was good and great spot for three nights

Nice mini oasis in a desolate part of Moalboal! Very quiet, clean, and private with knowledgeable staff. Food options are limited but the main area is a 5-10 minute drive or 30 minute walk. Awesome diving for turtles, sardines and bioluminescence.

Lovely stay away from overcrowded Panagasma

Located on the serene beautiful Turtle Bay, away from the noisy very overcrowded tourist ghetto around the sardine Panagsma beach. Good snorkeling and diving gear available. Nice pool. Comfortable room. Some beautiful reef fishes, and many snorkelers see turtles after 4:30 pm. Not a sandy beach, but nice areas to sit and enjoy the views and sunsets. Rides into town are 100 Philippine pesos p/p. Breakfast good , bar on premise, and easy walk to JG's Grill for very good dinner

I stayed here with my mom to go diving. The diving was wonderful tons of fish, coral, and turtles! The hotel room was wonderful and had a huge balcony. My mom doesn’t dive so she just relaxed by the pool. The diving crew was great at finding and pointing out sealife. My mom did a Discover Scuba off the house reef and was so excited that she saw Turtles and told everyone about it to everyone she knew!

We loved our stay there because of the access to the coral reef right at the back of the property. We would spent hours snorkeling as the reef is amazing (when you get to the wall on the deeper side you can see plenty of turtles), and even did a discovery dive which was brilliant (a bit expensive though but it was with the hotel). The room was a bit dated but clean and comfortable. Cooked breakfast was lovely, and the restaurant had nice food. It's a bit further away from town so you always need to take a tricycle to do anything else than snorkeling (200 pesos for 2 one way).

This is probably one of the nicest resorts in Moalboal. Only a few things that keep it from being a true 5 star resort.

Pros:
- Staff. Staff is readily found and accommodating to any requests. Everyone was very polite.
- Snorkel/Diving. The snorkel area is amazing. Tons of corals and fish to see, and you don’t have to leave the resort! All free and included with your stay.
- Organized excursions. Transport for each excursion is handled by on-site staff. So no waiting around for a driver to show up.

Cons:
- Dining. Food is very good, but limited options and quite a bit overpriced compared to the restaurant a few minutes walk away. Included breakfast was very good though.
- Swimming Pool. The pool is large and deep (6 feet) which is nice. Could use a better cleaning though. The filter was only on for one of the 3 days we stayed.
- No Beach. Not really within their control, but understand there is no swimming area for the ocean. The snorkeling area is completely covered in coral. Great for snorkeling, but a no go for casual swimming/playing. Not really a con, just something to be aware of.

Minor mention: All restaurants and amenities were closed and unavailable to guests during their holiday party. No prior notice was given to us.

Cons are minor, I would stay again if visiting Moalboal. Overall nice resort. Just expect to pay a bit more during your stay for food and drinks.

Service from all the staff I encountered during my 4 night stay in September was very good. But I was disappointed with quite a few things; I stayed in one of the bungalows, it was small and badly in need of a full refurb as the decor was outdated. There was no suitcase rack in the room so I had to leave my suitcase on the floor

I had the American breakfast each morning, it was poor quality and skimpy with very small portions and the bread was of cheap, low quality. No multi-grain bread was available.

I was looking forward to a swim in the hotel pool but the water looked dirty and greasy. I mentiond this to a member of staff on my first day, they said they would have it cleaned but it wasn't.

It's a small resort hotel in a medium size plot, reasonably well maintained but looking a bit dated. It is on the beach, but it's not sandy, it's all gravel and rocks.

Would I stay again? No. Overall value for money was poor. I expected a lot better for the rate that I paid.

It was a beautiful property with beautiful ocean side view. The included breakfast was so good as well! Unfortunately not all amenities were available due to repairs and renos but the pool was very nice. Good recommendations for activities around the area! Canyoneering and Snorkelling Island hopping is a must do! Room was decent, the only complaint I have is low water pressure but otherwise it was a pleasant stay. We were out most of the day for activities anyways!

I never write reviews but could not help myself after staying here. We loved our time staying at Turtle Bay!! The food was delicious and the diving was incredible but what stood out most of all was the hospitality of the staff. This family ran resort really house above and beyond to make you feel at home. The staff makes an effort to remember your name and they are sooo helpful with any questions you might have in your travels. The resort is kinda far from town but do not let this discourage you from staying here. They have services that will take you to any part of town.

We loved staying here and will be recommending it to others ❤️

*Disclaimer: the property is still recovering from a hurricane that happened in 2 months ago.

Pros:
- The staff was super nice, we had issues with the AC, TV, and refrigerator and they came to fix it late at night.
- access to a “private” area on the beach really makes water activities seem-less
- the reef was better than what you pay for in town
- the property is beautiful
- amazing view from restaurant
- view was nice from room D
- family ran
- the rental area workers were super nice/informative and right by the water

- room it’s self was very lacking for the price
- no wifi signal whats so ever other than by/in the restaurant
- unclear what is free and what they charge you for
- only 1 restaurant/bar open, the rest are being restored
- breakfast buffet was lacking heavily for the price and burger was a hard pass.

Pros: the staff are fantastic, and do everything to accommodate trips, questions etc.;
rooms are spacious and consistently kept clean;
Hotel makes all activities accessible and easy to do eg snorkelling, diving, whale sharks, kawasan falls;
water in front of hotel has its own reefs and turtles that you can rent snorkels for

Cons;
showers in room are of low quality (poor pressure)
food needs improving as v poor quality and much higher priced than local restaurants that offer better food.
Also transfers to airports and ports are significantly more than local drivers (however note that the driver has been vetted by hotel so we were willing to take that price for that reason)

This was my favorite spot to stay in my recent trip to the Philippines. They were super welcoming and the service was amazing. From the moment we got there until we left we left we had great service from everyone at the hotel. Turtle Bay Dive Resort was a very homey feel. We already made a recommendation to another couple we met who were going to Cebu. If we ever find our way back to Moalboal in Cebu we will most definitely will be coming back.

We did the Canyoneering tour through the hotel and we absolutely loved it. This was a very private and non-commercialized trip that we went with another couple. We didn't see anyone else besides the locals that lived there. We also did snorkeling off the hotel where we saw turtles.

We loved this place! Thanks to everyone there which made it such a great experience!

Generally great hotel - not sure about the bites?

The air-con in he room was brilliant and staff were very helpful. Pool and room were very clean. The tours the hotel organised for us were excellent! We only had two negatives. Firstly, the cost of the airport pickup and drop-off was high. The second issue we had was that we both were covered in bites when we slept but we never saw any mosquitos so we thought there may be bed bugs and were going to ask to switch rooms but then we spoke to another couple who had more bites than us so we just risked it. Using bug spray on our exposed skin helped but again cant be certain if it was a mosquito or bed bugs or something else.

Probably the best accommodation in Moalboal if what you want is just diving, diving, diving, and nothing else. You can take a boat right in the resort to go scuba diving. Two restaurants on site. An outdoor swimming pool on site, too. So, breakfast-2 morning dives-lunch-swimming pool-1 afternoon diving-swimming pool-snorkel-dinner-sleep and repeat it all over again the day after is amazing for passionate divers.
A bit distant from the main drag so it's a bit challenging but the reception books a ride to anywhere you want, so no worries.

Lovely and relaxing place

When we arrived they didn't have a reservation but they did found it and thankfully we received an upgrade to the bigger room (last available). Not sure what would happen if they would be fully booked and we pre-booked 4-5 months in advance. Hotel is very far from the main town so you have to take tuk tuk but not expensive. Restaurant is good and not overpriced (prices are the same as in a town). Resort is lovely and quiet but lots of poor houses around. Diving centre is overpriced and I dived with Cebu divers which came to pick me up and had a great dives. Due to the bad weather falls were closed but reopened later and girl from the reception came to our room to advise us and we could extend our check out for later and weren't charged for that so we really appreciate hotel customer service.

My only negative comment would be the diversity of the food offered but then again I noticed that I stayed here longer than the average patron as I am a SCUBA diver! This place is far from everything and very private. So if you are looking to party go book in towards the town of Panagsama. But for SCUBA diving activities followed by peace and quiet and tranquility, this place can't be beat! The room was perfect for the price but the water could have been more stronger but that is a minor thing considering you are in a third world country.

Amazing getaway Resort

Turtle Bay Resort is truly a HIDDEN GEM!! While it takes a bit of doing to get to the resort (3 hour drive to Cebu City) 10-15 min Tuk Tuk ride on a dirt road into town. The resort istelf is wonderful. The staff are super friendly, the food is large portions and everything on the menu was delicious. They have an array of daytime activities that they will help to arrange for you including diving ventures. If you are looking for a party this probably is not your type of place. This is a quiet, subdued escape. The owners and their family are all friendly and open to talking with their guests to make sure their stay is going well. An old school commonality that is seldom done these days. What was most impressive was the number of returning guests. To me a returning guest mean they loved it here and enjoyed their stay enough to go back. I for one plan on returning to this location at some point when I travel back the the Philippines. A very quiet but we'll run place. On our honeymoon and the service, staff and food were excellent. A little hard to find and bumpy access but they were minor inconveniences. Small touches like umbrellas in the rooms and access to drinking water without plastic bottles were small but well thought out additions. Hope to revisit there later in the year.

Road Trip resort stopover

Turtle Bay Dive Resort itself was fine except perhaps they should clarify that there really is no real beach although you can jump into the water in front of the dive shop marina. There is a reef there which appears to be in excellent condition however during low tide even shallow draft boats are unable to drop off guests at the marina, they have to wade across shallow waters, dodging and oftentimes stepping on corals to get back to the dock. Maybe we just did not know the area well but if you are looking for white sand, Caribbean style beach resorts, this not the place to go. Turtle Bay Dive Resort staff were outstanding.

No water multiple times. No hot water often. The road into the resort was rough and rocky. The TV did not work until fixed 24 hrs after arrival. There was an electrical brownout that lasted several hours. Wifi codes had to be updated every 2 days. Hard to relax when constantly dealing with these problems.

Loved our time at Turtle Bay Dive Resort. The service was sensational, all of the staff very friendly and approachable. Even the lovely owner introduced herself.
The resort gardens are beautiful, and the resort itself was very relaxing and quiet.
Very happy with our stay there, it does take awhile to get there from Cebu airport, but it is well worth the trip! Like an oasis! Would definately stay there again.

Firstly the kitchen staff and waiters and waitresses were excellent. Cesar, Gina, and Gera Mae served us each day and always had a smile on their face.
The sea from the resort has a coral reef right next to it, with great variation of coral, sponges, fish, sea snakes and turtles (saw 7 one day).
We found the prices of food and drinks a bit expensive. The hotel was struggling with water shortages so we had not water regularly. Had to get the shower fixed and the TV fixed twice (the maintenance man was very helpful).
The pool was out of commission for two days since it was being cleaned which was disappointing but as it seemed to be in the Philippines things get done slowly. Also no sign was put up to indicate that chemicals had been added to the pool so didn't find out until after the swim so ended up ill for one night.
The spa is not actually a working spa, they phone someone in externally if you want a massage and it is quite expensive.
We had our fair share of hassle with tricycle drivers, wanting more money when you are paying over the odds as it is. Nothing is in walking distance it is in the middle of nowhere and don't expect a beach.
If you are not going to dive or snorkel not the place for you as very little else to do. Internet is very poor too and only avaliable in the restaurant.
I wouldn't book excursions through the hotel as they are double to three times the price.

I liked this hotel . Near enough for a short tricycle ride and back into Moslboal town . The staff on reception can arrange this if you wish . You have easy access to a reef for snorkelling . I even saw a turtle while at the edge of the reef. Amazing ! Family run business. The owners are approachable and friendly . Everyone seems to remember your name ! You feel the family genuinely care about your stay.i loved my room within the main building which was on the second floor . Would not hesitate in staying again ! Thank you !

Bad DM, weak WIFI but good location

The Bads...
- Extreme weak WIFI (close to zero in lobby/dinning area but absolutely zero in rooms, so please get your own data SIM card in airport)
- Terrible scuba diving DM ever seen called \"Robin\", no briefing before dive, no smile, no passion, stone cold face and even swore at my friend \"oh shiX\" when my friend told him his last dive was for 5 years. Also, very lazy as he told us when we arrived to oslob (for whale shark) that he suddenly cant dive with us but ask an unknown DM (from Oslob) to dive with us. PLUS, told us to gather up at 5am so he can pay less for the entrance fee but resort charges us the regular price (7600 peso), I guess he took the saved balance himself.
- extreme weak and slow shower (like dripping) but it is hot enough so that's the good part

The Goods
- great location and house reef (saw 7 turtles in our first house reef check dive and 8 turtles just snorkeling)
- the food taste and portion was great

Conclusion:
- if u are a diver, this resort got one of the best house reef but please ask for another DM, trust me u don't want Robin to ruin your holiday
- if u can't get a data SIM card, then u can visit next door \"magic island resort\"( only 15 seconds away by walk) they do have excellent WIFI connection and reasonable massage price (550 peso compare to tuetle bay's 1200 peso per hour)

Nice stay for divers.

Nice hotel though basic. The resturant serves basic food. Nothig fancy. The five center is nice with good beach access.
Good spot for Moalboal's attractions

A quiet paradise

Clean, well-run establishment with great staff. It is a diving resort but there are white sand public beaches within minutes. Excellent food with great service by Cha-Cha!
Reasonably priced.
I heartily recommend!

100%Nice environment.

We stayed there for five days, it was excellent. we did six dives, price is reasonable, the coral is beautiful, the visibility is clear, swan with sea turtles and sardines.

Very friendly and helpful staffs, they are happy people, very close to the dive sites, nice pool, good Food .

Not just for divers

While divers can have a wonderful experience and base here (they have a dive shop on premise), we were here just to relax and see the area. The facility is lovely and rooms are large, clean, and comfortable. Many have a porch where you can relax and just unwind (if you don't want to sit by the nice pool). The staff is excellent and very willing and quick to help with any need. I found that I had picked up a screw in my tire and they were right there to help direct me to get it repaired. The restaurant is very good and has a nice selection.
